The first puzzle with the portal was pretty hard! There were so many of me I couldn't keep track of my timing! :)
The overall art style was very good as was the sound. My only criticism is that maybe being able to speed the text bubbles up at the start would have been good as I read them quite fast and felt like it took ages for them to go to the next one!
It must have been really hard to program the multiple players thing, you did an excellent job getting that done!
Not bad! You've fit a lot of mechanics stuff in which is quite something given the time. I like the art style of the infrastructure you're in, and liked the rainbow effect at the beginning :D I agree that it'd be nice if the text went a bit faster, and maaaaybe if the main character were a little bigger?
Sadly I can't give you five stars on graphics, but OMG it's really a GREAT Game!!! Make some real assets and sell it! It's super **AWESOME!**
I hope you win.
Same thing, impressive for the time! Text is a little too slow for my liking, maybe consider adding a skip button for each one. You've fitted in so much in the time! Well done!

The time travel mechanic is really cool. The puzzles were actually really challenging! Also, is the multiplayer real-time? Or were the other players I saw recordings? Either way, it was really surprising to see other people pop up in the game! Great job!

Pretty fun! A little bit slow to start and I really wanted to be able to move while the text bubbles are going instead of freezing Some fun puzzles here!

Really cool idea! It's pretty fun. I did not like the text very much though. It takes forever to get through and you have no control the entire time. at least if you could move and shoot you could do something as you wait. Most of the text provided nothing useful anyway. if anything the controls are ok to tell the player but they are already clearly displayed on this page. It may have been more interesting to just let the player explore and figure things out on their own rather than force them to wait through text.
Otherwise, the game seems very polished, i found no bugs. levels were not too difficult but still fun. Good job
Thanks everyone for the feedback, I'll definetly try to make texts less intrusive in future games :)
@spaceman Yep, They are recordings from other players

Brilliant idea! But way too much text before finally getting to play!
Great idea and impressive progress for 48 hours. As others have said, the text at the beginning is too much. You should be able to skip through it faster or at least be able to move while it is going. I found it difficult to keep track of what was going on as more ghosts (if that is what you call it) were playing. The art looked good. The sound effects were a little loud in the mix for my taste. Overall it is a very impressive game!
Great game for only 48 hours! The mechanism of creating a copy of past self reminds me of Braid. Seeing other players was surprising.

That really caught me off guard. This was such an awesome game. It took me a bit to get the time/clone mechanics but when I did it was just amazing.
Loved the extra work with including other random players and leaving messages and such. First 5 star overall I have given for this LD so far!
WHAT a GREAT game.
I will start with the art style. It is a cool and fresh style that contributes greatly to the feel of the music.
The music is good enough if not great.
The controls are a little bit weird, personally i am not used to using ctrl for much.
The story is immersive and interesting but the dialog is a bit long and cannot be skipped whcih takes away from the immersive experience.
Beside some downfalls, this is the best game I have across so far on LD.
This was awesome. One of the few games I just HAD to play to the very end. The portal things were a neat mechanic and you exploited them a new way each time. The little bits of other people bleeding into my playthrough was really cool and mysterious.
Like a lot of other people said, the text was slow to appear, but that's a minor issue.
Great job! Very fun, unique game, especially in the compo time limit.

Since the text issue has been brought up enough. Lets talk about the main mechanic. Things quickly become chaos, and I usually solve the different puzzles by brute forcing the mechanic. This can be mitigated by setting a relevant cap for replicates based on what is needed for the level. Give the cap a visual indicator and then you will have puzzles that require finesse.
Ah, no! Nonononono no! There needed to be so much more to that! D:
Heheh. So fun. Wanted to keep playing. Excellent job to have made this yourself in only 24 hours! Whoa!

Extremely fun idea. Unfortunately I ran into a bug two times in a row - in the third chamber player drops through the lift and dies in an endless loop, no jumps or any actions could prevent that. But I get a great overall feeling about the game, and the idea really took me by surprise, so well done :)
If you could polish it up and debug it, I think it would make a really good commercial title - just needs some tweaks, debug and polished graphics (audio is surprisingly good for me :D)
Great job, leaving my rating ;)
Cheers!
A very clever concept, executed pretty well. I couldn't quite get the timing right in the elevator level and ended up quitting there, but I definitely appreciate the effort.
The graphics are basic but they work. The sound effects (especially the spaceship landing) were occasionally a little too harsh. This can be easily fixed with an equalizer though.
A skip button for the dialogue would've been nice as well. ;)

Whoa this was great, really cool mechanic and the overall polish is really nice. Could have kept playing for alot longer after it was over!

Wow. When @heinrix said "There were so many of me..." I knew I was in for a good time. I'm amazed at what you accomplished in 48 hours. My only complaint was that the game was really short, because I was expecting more use out of the messages text.

First game I rate 5 stars. Its really an amazing game. Graphics are gorgeous and very detailed, sound works very well ... animations are in their right place ... controls are very simple and intuitive and the puzzles are awesome! The most impressive thing about this game was that it was made in Compo. The second most impressive thing is the recording of every movement of every echo ... it must have taken a lot of time to get that thing right. Really impressive game and definitely top 100 in my opinion :P
It's great and i don't have another words. Good job!
wow really interesting mechanic, definitely scope for some interesting puzzles with that I think. With the couple of levels you had it was fun, only needed more of them. I found the other players or images of previous other players just a step too confusing though, I guess you were going for some kind of multiplayer thing, but it feels like that would be really chaotic. Also had the same bug on the third room with falling through the lift at the start, randomly mashing the keys got me through it sometimes though so i was able to make it to the end (Playing web version on chrome). As already said need to be able to skip the text. Art was nicely done, makes a change to see someone going for a high res approach, music was also good. All nicely polished and a lot of potential, just need more. Great Work
Wow, I liked this one. Reminds me of "Braid".
The art style came off as a bit "programmer art" at first, but when that first door opened, I decided that it was pretty cool looking after all.
The multiple-versions element was well done, and it brought a surprising amount of challenge for how simple a mechanic it is.
Overall, a thumbs-up effort. Well done.

Interesting game. I included it in my Ludum Dare 38 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcx-zIJDIVM
