| Strong AI | Played it through, I didn't get any of the references, but things were funny enough. No suggestions or complaints really, I enjoyed it. | ||
| Mondrian | Game wasn't very fun, but it does well in the other categories; soundtrack works with the aesthetic and the theme is apparent. | ||
| Trivial Escape from Minimalist Island | The captain decided it best to tear down the tree and bind together a raft. We left at dawn. Four days in, hard waters hit and they threw us onto the shoals. We ate one of the crew -- mostly out of frustration. As death approached, the captain finally decided it best to signal for help, even though he'd be using his roaming minutes. | ||
| Things on Top of Other Things | First four levels were too easy, fifth one I had to restart, 6th one took awhile. Then it was smooth sailing to the end. It wasn't particularly interesting or fun, but at least it was complete. I liked the level where it was you, a crate, and 8 enemies lined up in a row and you just had to smash them =) | ||
| Of Robots & Groglots | Playing that game made me sick as a dog. Oh god I'm dizzy. Sorry. I got through the first level and killed all the eggs on the second level. I got the last egg via kamikaze so I still had to redo. The controls, as phil said, could have been simpler. Good graphics, when they aren't spinning =P | ||
| Still Pond | Not very fun to play, but entertaining regardless. | ||
| Pixelman 3 | It didn't show my sprite =( | ||
| Minimaze | It's a finished game with some fun to it. With some better levels this could take over one of my afternoons. | ||
| Block Picker 1.0 – final, timelapse | Scores <br/>..00000005 <br/>..00000038 <br/>..00000030 <br/>..00000063 <br/>..00000054 <br/>..00000077 <br/>..00000776 with 2:16 on the clock. I stopped cause I was getting too sick from the motion. The game gets easier once you reach the point where more blue squares appear per time unit. Might I add that I think you were a little ambitious/optimistic with the size of zerofill on your score display =P <br/> <br/>The game takes a few tries to become fun in a non-superficial way. <br/> | ||
| warrior | The audio and video match well. Music was repetitive, but not annoying. I don't like the input, too much clicking and the arrow doesn't seem quite accurate. Good job on 'minimal' theme. I like the variation in shapes and how they enter into the world. Perhaps the larger shapes could take more shots to kill. The camera work and the background doodads are nice, especially for 48 hours. I like the tube shooting circles into the other tube. The only awkward time seemed to be when your character is blocked by that upright tube in front of the camera. <br/> <br/>scores: <br/> 324 <br/> 346 <br/> 370 <-- Anyone think they can beat it? | ||
| Sailor | high score: 740 <br/> <br/>Fun game :D | ||
| redgate | score 21. The gameplay isn't very far from most platformers. | ||
| Tiny Hawk final release | Very good in most of the categories. I think everything else has already been said. One of the best so far. | ||
| Exxon – The decontaminator | I liked it, more polished than most games and pretty fun. The oil blobs were fun to splash around in. | ||
| dots | sample of scores <br/>...6000 <br/>..12000 <br/>..37000 <br/>...6000 <br/> <br/>Pretty fun, definitely playable. I guess my little guy thought he was a billiard ball or something cause he got owned a lot. | ||
| entry – Minim Madness | I made five of those circle things in a few hundred attempts, none of them were in the right place so I didn't pass level 1. I do like the idea, but the controls are too hard. | ||
| The Butler Did It | I watched one story and guessed -- and won. Yay! | ||
| Too minimal for a name… | Played it all the way through. 4th level was the hardest. I didn't use the map editor. It's hard to tell if you were trying to match the theme. I'd like to see more levels or perhaps a guide for level editing. | ||
| Mininode | I won! It was fun figuring out how the game worked (readmes are for illiterates). | ||
| WORLDMAKER | I couldn't beat it without cheating. There isn't enough information to know the game mechanics. It is mildly poetic and entertaining. I like how it's just a python file =) | ||
| Castle Adventure | One of my top two favorites so far (I'm halfway through rating things). It was funny, complete, and you got to shoot guys with infinite arrows. Only compliant would be that 'a' and 's' keys don't allow you to loop through the list, when you get to the bottom of your list, you can't hit 's' again and make it wrap to the top, you gotta hit 'a'. But overall very good game. | ||
| The Pushers | Not very fun because I wanted my car to go really fast, not piddle around corners. Ultimately I crashed into the stands and now I've got two pending lawsuits. Thanks a lot, asshole. | ||
| win32.dll The Game | 120000ish. Good and complete. Not much to the gameplay, but the idea is interesting enough to keep me playing till I lost. | ||
| Framed! v1.1 Released | It took me a few tries to beat easy; after one try I quit playing hard =( The gameplay wasn't good enough to keep me trying for more. The music was good for about five of the ten minutes I spent on the game. Theme was followed well. | ||
| Final Submission | A lot has been said that I mostly agree with. It was pretty fun, though I sucked at it. What no one else has said so far is ... what the hell kind of class names are those? "Thing", "Dood", "Baddie", and "Shoostings"? =P | ||
| Brainwave | The game was interesting for the first three minutes. I noticed that your guy bounces back when you hit a wall and that there are different types of arrows. Then the endlessness of it sank in and the auto-generated music clawed at my ears. I do like the evil pac-man picture and the protagonist looks like a character from a web comic http://www.sinfest.net/archive_page.php?comicID=2774 | ||
| Yeah, ThingGo is a go go! | Made it to level 14 with roughly 4000 points. It was really fun by the end. I liked making little forts for my guy to hide in while the enemies darted around and then sniping them with blocks that would simultaneously re-block my fort. The first 8 levels or so were too slow, but after that it got fun. So far my favorite entry. | ||
| miniPals | I played it through. It was mildly fun, but none of the levels were amazing. I liked the shrinking guy the most. | ||
| Simple Dungeon | After the tenth engulfer I was like 'screw it, I'm attacking moving through them.' I didn't make it, and neither did my computer (bad crash). Balancing and different healing method (rather than requiring me to write a short sendkeys script) would have made the game more fun. | ||
| Title Unknown | It's neither a game nor art if its existence requires justification or explanation. | ||

| CGA Quest | I like the sounds and the aesthetic. Regarding gameplay: you sir, are a bastard. I couldn't for the life of me win that stupid level =) | ||
| Battle Magic Done! | It could have been fun, but the user interface made the game too boring to finish. Maybe have keys 1, 2, & 3 select the action. Or at least get rid of the 'next' button. I do like getting lots of minions at the expense of my health and piety. <br/> <br/>Oh, and those nice food shots are making me hungry =P | ||
| Kill ALL Life!!! | I couldn't tell that I was doing anything, the life seemed to take care of killing itself for the most part. | ||
| Cowbell Hero | I like the idea, get top points for that. The random song it chose was Wagner's Tristan und Isolde overture. The beat wasn't quite right, but oh how that cowbell was. | ||
| Divine Asteroid Showdown | For some reason I really like it when the text gets typed out letter-by-letter with a tick noise each time. The levels were too long and boring for me to finish the game. The music was good, classic rpg i-VII-v-VI chord progression :D Maybe with such a short loop of music, have a different song for every level? | ||
| Leap , at least it’s something… | Weird... The grasshopper looks like a skeleton. I like how you can't reach the heart blocks in the first screen. The bad collision system and the lack of scoring made the game not very re-playable. Good job for one of your first games. This was my first 'finished' game, too. | ||
| Omnihunter | no module pkg_resources. I'll try back later. | ||
| MiniMall | At each entrance I installed clothing stores specializing in mini-tees and thongs. Those preppy teens love their mini-tees. My second installment was a series of Chinese food buffets with heavy breading on the general's chicken. (Incidentally, this is where I hosted the first annual shareholders meeting with my venture capitalists). Anyway... my customers, stuffed with MSG and special sauce, were now too fat for their mini-tees and thongs and thus had to buy from my third installment: a big and tall outlet featuring maternity dresses. Those fat hos love their maternity dresses. But I had a problem: my bedsheet-laden bitches were too fat to leave the store by themselves. Their tiny feet, with flesh hanging over like a stack of pancakes, couldn't even budge. But I'd planned for this. That's why I'm a pro. The center of the store is an electronics outlet, specializing in mini-scooters and high-end wagons. Those sweat-and-sour gravity sinks put their scooters in second gear and rolled their flabby asses out of my mall, leaving me with $$$ | ||
| Space Stuff Trader | First try: spent all my money on cargo space and hull upgrade. Had to restart <br/>Second try: bought a full load of goods from planet X, decided to see if the prices would be good on planet 'stinky'. Some red bastard blew a hole in my ship en route. <br/>Third try: got shot on my way to planet Y <br/>Fourth try: got shot on my way to planet Y <br/>Fifth try: made it to planet Y, sold some sweet cargo for a profit. Started my way back to planet X and somehow ended up off-screen, in limbo. <br/>Sixth try: made it to planet Y, got a profit, loaded up on more cargo, and got shot en route to planet X. <br/> <br/>Overall, it was pretty fun, but too hard for me. Easier controls would have helped the most. Though it could be that I wasn't buying enough hull. | ||
| Circle conquest | I like RTS. It was fun grabbing all the territory and then right clicking their king. It took awhile beat because the gameplay boiled down to "how well can you click on a tiny white ball". Here are two rules for any future RTSs you may make: <br/>1) Add a click-drag selection box <br/>2) Separate the 'select' and 'move' commands <br/> <br/>Minus the interface issues, I like the game. | ||
| Dot2doT | That flashing background when you change dot colors was annoying. The game was pretty fun, though my highest score came from holding down my up arrow for 60 seconds. But still, it has more gameplay than other, more-complicated entries. <br/> <br/>scores: <br/> 628 <br/> 797 <br/> 688 <br/> 795 <br/> 770 <br/> <br/> <br/> | ||
| Color eater | Overall, not enough time was spent on level design and user interface. If the controls were fixed and the levels had more variety/movement/challenge, then it'd be pretty fun. I do like the vine wrapping itself around the girder =) | ||
| Title Unknown | Good and complete, but not very interesting. The way I entertained myself with it was to try to box in the bouncing balls so I could capture the rest of the area in peace. | ||
| Marginal Ungolf Spectacle | I like the controls, they handle very well. I wanted to beat some ass with the hockey stick, but alas... I just got to jump around and listen to the music. | ||
| Col-4 | I got to 11 points and quit out of boredom. Sorry = I like the food shots though :D | ||
| The Hunt for Pepsi Blue | Weird. I got to the fourth level. The music sounded random. The shooting sounds were ok and the graphics were informative enough. Is the McRib game next? | ||
| http://blahwebstorage.googlepages.com/Game.html | I flew in circles, shooting at the ships that had accumulated behind me. I didn't really know what to do after that. | ||
| Title Unknown | Exe didn't work. <br/> <br/>Traceback (most recent call last): <br/> File "run_game.pyw", line 7, in <module> <br/> import game <br/>ImportError: No module named game <br/> | ||
| Title Unknown | I spent a lot of time waiting, which wasn't fun. The life and score font color made it hard to read (white on white). Try blitting a black copy of the text first with a few pixels' offset in order to provide some relief. I did like the airplane occasionally flying by =) | ||
| minimalist rts | Four minutes into the game my cash flow was negative. OSHA came and shut down my factory and my apartments were condemned because the area was zoned commercial. And now I have venture capitalists knocking on my door, thanks a lot... |
