LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Time to Act by Vodzik 2020-10-06T21:03:03Z

While searching through the games I was expecting things but not this kind of thing. I really like the game idea and the setting and the mood of the game, up to the several tasks to do, in order to get the ship running again. The funny thing about this are the similarities between our games, it feels like we worked off of the same concept blueprint. Great work tho!

Cursorial by RedHermit 2020-10-06T00:28:12Z

At first glance I thought it would just be another hamster game where you endlessly run in a circle but in the end it got quite philosophical. I really like the concept and the motivational message behind it. Good Work!

Hung On Justice by Raphiell 2020-10-06T00:42:54Z

Just wow. It looked very interesting from the preview image but the gameplay is even more impressing. Really creative idea und fun to play if you get a grasp of it.

Looper by Maytch 2020-10-05T23:51:03Z

Really creative Idea but a bit too hard for my taste. I only got through a few levels after being stuck. But this can also be because I haven't slept in days ._."

Goin' in Circles by MrBlue 2020-10-06T00:05:25Z

As the other people already said, the sensitivity way above average and hard to control. I also couldn't really graps how to get to the 3rd platform with the second item. Good idea with a bit of polishing to be done.

3 Minutes by PeaNud 2020-10-06T00:48:13Z

@stellarbeargames Glad you enjoyed the concept! The WebGL application doesn't seem to be able to handle bigger video files. In case you want to watch the end game sequence, there is link to it in the itch.io description.

3 Minutes by PeaNud 2020-10-08T22:14:45Z

@thejohnyfeed glad you liked it! :)

3 Minutes by PeaNud 2020-10-09T10:12:54Z

@jonathanwang Thank you for your feedback! We initially had plans to make the puzzles a bit more complex and also a bit longer but our plans fell short due to the time limit.

Fearcle by Jupperevie 2020-10-06T21:44:18Z

Wow the art style really is at a high level and the sounds and music also give an eerie feeling to the whole story. As other people mentioned, switching views was a bit confusing. To combat that you might want to mirror one side so the brain doesn't have to adapt all the time and doesn't get lost. I also got stuck after a while not really knowing what to do next but that might be because I am not very good at solving puzzles. A very polished looking game. A huge compliment for everyone involved!

ORBIDRONE by bixarrio 2020-10-06T20:51:28Z

Same as @sepee67 I was kinda confused how to get the shields back up. Other than that, this is a great little tower defense game, especially when considering that you only had 72 for everything.

NeonLoop by aDaxxas 2020-10-05T23:44:37Z

The Idea is not that original but the gameplay is really smooth and the looks are georgeous. Keep up the good work!

BoreOut! by HOOLOP 2020-10-06T00:54:06Z

The idea is quite fun but I had a bug in which I was only able to move backwards and couldn't control my character as I liked. Neat Idea tho.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Cave Bound by Sn4pi 2021-04-27T21:34:20Z

Nice graphics and really innovative gameplay. Sadly it feels a bit clunky in the beginning and when picking up an object I tended to get stuck a few times. And I made it out of the map boundaries once :P Nonetheless a great idea and a result you can be proud of.

Guard Duty by frozenfire92 2021-04-27T04:07:05Z

I really like the concept of having a limit on defeating the level, makes a simple platformer much more challenging and you really have to watch your step not doing any wrong moves. Also naming every level beforehand is a cool introduction. Great game!

Rooted by Webox 2021-04-27T17:56:40Z

At the first glance I was pretty confused on what's going on, but in the end I found my way around the system. Most of the levels are not really that hard but it was fun to find the correct ways to finish the paths. A very chill and fun experience with not much distraction or moving parts. Keep it up.

Moot by Peco 2021-04-27T09:56:39Z

Wow, this game really is an experience. The artistic choices and the overall design philosophy is phenomenal. One of my favourites so far!

Dream: The Temple Within by dominikscholz 2021-04-27T22:09:03Z

Died a few times during my playthrough but I really enjoyed the theme. Nothing very innovative but it works and is very fun to play.

Dwarf Inc. by Matthieu Riboulot 2021-04-27T17:53:11Z

Wow this game looks very polished. From graphics to Gameplay to Sound design. Very fun experience for a short micromanagement journey. Also dwarfs are f***ing cool :P

Sheppard by PeaNud 2021-04-28T07:18:46Z

@fireslash @wilsk Thank you for the feedback! The boss seems to have this much health because the shop is currently broken. Normally you would have one or two damage power ups coming into the last fight which would make it less tedious to bring the boss down. We are working on a bugfix.

Dangerous Treasure by MtWhateverest 2021-04-27T11:14:48Z

Great concept but much room to grow in terms of game length :) But considering you only had 24 hrs, it looks really promising and the design is very pretty. Keep it up!

Endeavour by leekanarchism 2021-04-27T21:58:56Z

Even though the graphics are so simple, the game really feels like an experience. Freely flying through space, exploring stuff, getting out of your shuttle to collect materials all while the gravity is changing while you're walking and getting back into flying again. The transition is seemless and I like the mechanic a lot.

The music also adds something special to the game. It feels complete and despite the pixelated graphics you instantly feel like drifting in space. There were some bugs, for example I couldnt move the white platform that would lead me to the next crystal and I got stuck in the star/couddustthingy and couldnt get out. Also the music crackles a bit too much for my taste.

Good stuff!

Fairy Snares by ElllaDee 2021-04-27T17:35:24Z

A very interesting approach to the sidescroller genre. The backrounds are very artistic and beautiful though some of the elements lack polishing. I also like the soundtrack which is very fitting with the flutes and strings. Sadly there is no complete ending to the story but it's still very charming and a nice experience.

GRIMM by Malfeasance 2021-04-27T17:46:32Z

At first I thought the scroll speed was too slow but after the 100 point mark I was really getting stressed about the tempo. Well executed and kind of addicting game with a few minor flaws. I really liked the music and the chaos that was in it but over time it was getting really confusing, maybe to a point where it was a bit too much. Besides that it's a very pleasing experience. Have a vote :)

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

The Last Church by sawtan 2022-04-07T11:06:35Z

A classic take on the tower defense genre but very well executed. Really loved the art style and that eerie feeling the music and the sound effects convey. Congrats on your entry.

OBRUTA by Dmitry Kaidash 2022-04-05T02:11:55Z

Just wow. I really like the stylized look of the game and it feels super nice. I wasn't able to finish it, if there is a finish, because I fell trying to hit the eggs. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow :)

They Are Coming by PeaNud 2022-04-07T20:21:38Z

@korvack Glad you liked the game! You reached the same stage as me, congratz :)

They Are Coming by PeaNud 2022-04-08T09:03:28Z

@owca We used Unity 2020.3.32f1 (LTS).

They Are Coming by PeaNud 2022-04-08T15:06:12Z

@chrissx2 This was the exact reason^^ I made the robot enemy and all the animations in the beginning to make sure it doesn‘t take up all my time. Modeling, rigging and animating a humainioid would‘ve been way too much for the short timeframe.

Battery Low by Milestone Games 2022-04-05T15:07:03Z

The overall feel of the game is super nice and polished. Great entry with much love to detail.

Unknowable by Briibot 2022-04-05T01:42:47Z

Nice art style. The game is really polished and the gameplay is also super fluid. Interesting idea to make the controls like this but very intuitive if you're getting used to it.

Global Eggstermination by owca 2022-04-07T16:38:52Z

Oh I love the idea of this game and the gameplay also feels really smooth. Also, graphically it can definitely compete with the best entries here. I will also make sure to check out your leaderboard the next time we are participating here :)

Void Prison by Tadas Migauskas 2022-04-05T15:35:42Z

Super nice game with a simple idea but super great execution and super clean visuals. Would put 3 thumbs up if I could.

Shadow Rush by Brandsma 2022-04-05T02:03:29Z

The looks and feels are very polished and I also like the personal touch with the countdown :)

LD53 — Delivery

Volcano Buggy by Liven 2023-05-02T18:16:20Z

You really nailed the driving mechanics, one of the best car controllers I have had here so far. We also made a car controller for this jam and know how hard it is and yours felt pretty satisfying. The Stones following you in the backmirror also looked pretty cool but didn t do anything besides looking cool. Do you plan to make a game loop out of it?

All in all an almost zen like experience driving around the vulcanic valley, had fun, thanks :)

Don't Slip on the Snail Trail by Walnut 2023-05-03T06:44:35Z

@GreenwoodDrive & @surfa Thank you very much for playing and the feedback :) We have an audio system coded but ran out of time when it came to actually recording audio.

@kypello Glad you love it :) The beacons are undistinguishable from a distance because we have the standard Unity fog enabled, which changes the color of distant objects to gray which includes the beacons aswell. We noticed this but we haven't had the time to fix it.

And yes, they are slugs and this is a simple "translation error". We are all german native speakers and in German snail means "Schnecke" and slug means "Nacktschnecke" so they basically mean the same thing. Thank you for your feedback :)

Don't Slip on the Snail Trail by Walnut 2023-05-04T07:10:48Z

@raggedyjam @generalflunder @aurailus Thank you for your feedback! The compass is one of the things that we just implemented without thinking about it. It seemed to work "just fine" so we kept it but added the beacons to ensure more visibility.

@spaceylake Simpsons Hit and Run was the first thing I thought about when I heard the theme so we tried to create a similar fun experience :)

@mar-zockmeister We will be publishing an AfterJam Edition of the game with several fixes and added functionality. Maybe a free drive mode will be in there aswell :)

Delivery of Duty: Same Shift Different Package by Surfa 2023-05-02T17:59:52Z

Had some fun playing through and got a score of 4015 - dunno if this is good or bad^^ The movement was very hard getting used to on Keyboard because I always expected the helicopter to rotate 360° and not be capped but nonetheless I adapted and now it works. Especially the landings were quite challenging and I believe to be the most fun mechanic. It's like Boccia but with a twist.

Good job!

DeliveryQuest by RaggedyJam 2023-05-03T07:35:07Z

The minigames are good concepts. The first one was easy after you get a grip of the gravity. The second and third are bit harder, especially because my reaction time is not the best anymore :P

We also had to struggle till 4 in the morning to get everything working, so I can empathize with you there. A great little game and nice dedication of yours. Good Job!

FoodEx by stesim 2023-05-02T18:53:36Z

Nice and simple graphics but the concept was quite fun and the experience didn't feel as stressful as I thought it would. The car controller feels satisfying - something we had our own problems with aswell in our Jam Game^^ Only recovering from unintended bumps into walls felt quite tedious but I think this is something that can easily be polished.

Overall a nice experience and a good idea, good job!

Mail! by EthernalStudio 2023-05-02T18:25:26Z

The visuals in the game are simple but very fitting and cohesive. The controls on the other hand are reaaaaally hard to get into. I often found myself struggling to realize where I am and in which direction I am flying. It took many many trys to nail the position of the postbox down as I often flew right past by.

All in all a super great idea and visuals, I think the controls are hard to getting used to for a jam game so it might be a little too janky for casual playtesters.

Good job!
