Cool game liked the LEEEEEEEEEEROY Jenkins reference.
Really fun. Loved the helicopter movement and how the controls felt! Ah, and the voice acting, of course!
Had some fun playing through and got a score of 4015 - dunno if this is good or bad^^ The movement was very hard getting used to on Keyboard because I always expected the helicopter to rotate 360° and not be capped but nonetheless I adapted and now it works. Especially the landings were quite challenging and I believe to be the most fun mechanic. It's like Boccia but with a twist.
Good job!
I loved attaching the crates or tanks to the helicopter in Battlefield Vietnam and then flying around with them. THANK YOU for letting me live this fascination again! Nice!
Worth replaying once you learn you can squish enemies for more points. This takes me back to Heli Wars: Desert Attack from the old Roblox days.
Fun game! Great take on the theme. You even had voice acting, nice! Controls took a while to get and the helicopter sound could have been different.
Overall good job!
omg the handmade VO is so good. I really liked the first mission but I wasn't able to pick up the truck for some reason :( Still, great job!
Super fun, right amount of goofy and humor. The controls are great and responsive. Nice job! Brings me back to the good ol' days with Desert Strike.
I had no idea my browser could render 3d games like this! Also that voice acting is perfect!
This has a good feel/mood to it overall. The helicopter handled a little wonky to me, and the vertical controls seemed unnecessarily slow, but it was manageable. Having additional ways to get points by squishing opponents is fun
Very neat game~ I quite liked the "wonky" flying mechanics, enjoyed them as it made it a challenge. Gotta squish them all. The aesthetics overall were jolly and very thematic, well done!
@slimefriend Thanks for giving the game a go. If you do want to try again I can give you some insight into picking up objectives. The green indicator just means you are close enough. You still need to position the helicopter above the objective. In hindsight we could have handled this better but as it is with game jam games the first implementation normally ends up being the release implementation.
I got a score of 3305 (B) and I really enjoyed the dubbed general, as well as the cool soundtrack throughout the game. However, I did find that flying long distances in the helicopter wasn't very engaging. Also, it would have been nice to have a minimap. The idea behind the game was great, and I loved the models as well as the overall visual and audio design.
Cool game! The controls were not quite what I expected and a bit hard to fly smoothly, but the grab/release worked pretty nice. I also like the voiceover, pretty funny.
I absolutely loved this, the janky controls were so worth it. You made something really cool!
This is a really fun game, feels very bennett-foddy esque! I really liked the voiceover in the beginning I thought it was funny
Really fun to play, loved the ridiculous speeds you could get to whilst staying in control. Fun game!
Good job! Great job with physics. The last task was quite difficult =)
Not sure what's going on with your ratings, they are at 4 received at the time I'm writing this, yet there are many comments already.
As for the game, I enjoyed it! Controls are wonky, graphics are sometimes glitchy, but it was quite entertaining and engaging. Well done!
Really fun game. The gamepad controls don't appear to be working. At least the triggers don't work
@digx7 Yeah sorry that is a limitation of Godot export for web. It used the Gamepad API that differs per browser. Whne testing on Chrome it seems like the triggers don't get mapped correctly. Sorry about that but we only realized after the submission time.
Good idea to transport things with the helicopter :helicopter: Control is somewhat demanding, which I find good. Especially when you fly something.
Very addictive game you got here, private! The controls very bit hard and sometimes there are so many enemies and it is very difficult to the cargo to the destination
But still very good game you have here! Good submission!
Also play my game!!!
Very nice game, love to see some voice acting in Ludum Dare games. Played through the whole game, but got an F rating, lol :D The precise handling required to pick up the cargo while dodging the missiles was a bit too difficult sometimes, so the cargo dropped a few too many times. And the ascend and descent velocity could have been a bit higher. Nevertheless, a very good submission.
Great job! Some many 3d models, UI looks very cool! I played to the end.
The helicopter had weird controls, I really wished the "descend" button was LCtrl, the heli also works differently from any other I've seen, with a 360° degrees turn every time you try to go backwards. Despite all that, the voice acting made the game enjoyable, with a moment that made me laugh out loud, so nice job!
In this game you deliver the most important thing there is: freedom. I feel like I really did my duty today and made my CO proud.
This game is great! You got a bunch of assets in there. I'm surprised how well the physics worked, and the voice acting was fun to listen to. Great job!
PS—I played the WebGL version with an Xbox controller and the triggers did not work for altitude, so I had to use my keyboard for that.
PPS—I love that you have a volume slider! However, the voice over is so much louder than the menu music that my perfectly tuned level was way wrong, and I had to turn it down so much that I didn't hear the music for the rest of the game :(
Really neat idea!! I like that you had voicelines for when you complete the mission perfectly and I also like the leeroy jenkins reference haha. Apart from some graphical glitches here and there I'd say it's a pretty good submission!!
Actually one of the best games I've played on this Ludum Dare. Cool approach to the theme, interesting setting, voice acting is always great addition. Good thing there was no health bar :D
