| May 5 16:01:40 | Shapeshifter: The King of A Small World | ♥ 2 | I got such a big smile on my face when I first transformed into an ant to sneak under the rock. Later on I nearly wall-walked over top of the wind, but right at the end the wind caught me and blew me off the map! Maybe it was sweet revenge against me for trying to break the game. :) I'm really curious about how you built the levels. I had fun playing! | |
| May 5 16:13:10 | 11m 30s | The Last Haven | ♥ 1 | Really cool and fast-paced gameplay. I can imagine a killer 1v1 or team deathmatch/ctf game with this setup. The jetpack was great! I also really appreciated the wraparound if you fall off the level. The difficulty felt just right too, I destroyed all the boxes just seconds before dying. Although maybe there's a way to win and I just wasn't good enough to find it. Nice job! |
| May 5 16:34:59 | 21m 49s | Bamboo Life | ♥ 1 | Really nice job on this! I kept thinking "okay, time to go write the review", then going back to the game because it was so fun! The most impressive thing to me was how the game mechanics all worked together so well. I don't know you managed to tune them all so well in such a short time. This isn't a genre I'm usually drawn to, but I had a great time playing! |
| May 5 16:41:30 | 6m 31s | Mind The Gap (First Ludum Dare) | ♥ 0 | It took me a little while to get used to the controls. It was difficult to play with a touchpad (I'm traveling w/ no mouse), but I won't hold that against you! Once I got the hang of it, I had fun. I like the balance you struck between the two sides. Pulling enemies to you, or you to them, based on how crowded things are. It's a nice strategic balance. |
| May 5 16:50:47 | 9m 17s | (Un)Happy | ♥ 0 | I love it! Like other reviewers said, it's very approachable and easy to figure out the rules. I was very careful to land my rocket upright on the planets, assuming that doing otherwise would be a crash landing. Turns out the game was more lenient than that, but it was fun driving the ship like that! Really amazing polish for 10 hours, wow. I had fun, thanks for making this! |
| May 5 17:19:37 | 28m 50s | Flat World | ♥ 1 | I got a kick out of seeing the art up-close after the zoom-in at the end of a match. I figured they were small sprites, but after the zoom-in I could see a lot of detail. Was the art made with a vector tool? Inkscape/illustrator? It has that very crisp, clean look. The gameplay reminded me a little of Tricky Towers, which is a huge compliment. If there was one thing I would ask for, it would be to speed up the gameplay a little. Regardless, I had fun, nicely done! |
| May 5 17:51:33 | 31m 56s | Crater Creator | ♥ 2 | Awesome job! I love the mechanics, the colored trajectories especially are an awesome innovation. In one sense it's the total opposite of my LD38 game! I have no real critical feedback. The only (maybe?) glitch I saw was that after reaching the required mass/atmosphere/water, the evaluate planet button still said 0%. But that didn't hamper the fun I was having smashing stuff into the planet. It's definitely a game of finesse and I loved it. Thanks, I had a blast playing! |
| May 5 19:12:28 | 1h 20m | Wrong Delivery | ♥ 1 | I have to agree with the other comments, the level design is great! I loved how each ability had a level feature nearby that fit the ability perfectly, like the wide gap for the air dash. Very cool too how you showed the package early on but without the abilities yet to reach it. Music and sfx would have been great additions, but I understand the time constraints all too well! I'm impressed you were able to fit in so many abilities. Every time I try to add abilities to games, they take so much time to implement and tweak that I can only fit in one or two out of ten. The controls were very responsive as well. And of course the abilities were a lot of fun to play with. I found myself really looking forward to the next ability. |
| May 5 19:21:49 | 9m 21s | Scaleshifter | ♥ 1 | This was pretty cool! The size change was the highlight of the game for me. Very cool. I agree with @mrnyarlathotep about a non-photorealistic background being a good fit. The missiles seemed to be positions in camera space instead of world space, so they would follow the camera as I moved around. The difficulty seemed tuned well, it was quite a challenge but didn't seem unbeatable. Well, I am using a touchpad at the moment, and I couldn't beat the game, but with a mouse I'm sure it would be perfect. |
| May 9 16:55:22 | 93h 33m | Zen Demiurgy | ♥ 1 | I really enjoyed this game! I spent a little too much time playing it during my lunch break. :) It's very relaxing, but also engaging. I don't have any novel critiques, the only thing that bothered me was the sometimes very long wait for scouts to find crates. The small birds were such a nice touch! Little flourishes like the birds hardly ever make it into LD games. Nice work! |
| May 9 17:08:29 | 13m 07s | House 0.1.0(top down shooter) | ♥ 1 | It reminded me of one of my favorite old Amiga games, [Rambo III](http://www.lemonamiga.com/?game_id=1464). The bugs already mentioned made it kind of hard to play, but I can appreciate the challenge. I hope you enjoyed your first LD and see you at LD39! |
| May 9 20:19:19 | 3h 10m | SPAAAAAACE. | ♥ 1 | Haha! I love the text at the end, gave me a genuine chuckle :D |
| May 9 20:26:30 | 7m 11s | Protoware Planet | ♥ 1 | Great mood and music! I really love the look of the graphics, it feels like I'm inside a computer. The game is a lot of fun too! Only suggestion I could make is a better effect when you destroy an enemy. |
| May 9 20:36:22 | 9m 52s | The Last Game Designer | ♥ 1 | The thing I like best about this game is you show that you don't have to use a game engine to create fun and interesting games! I really like that you spent the time to create a true discision tree that is great attention to detial. Also your writing is great! |
| May 9 20:42:07 | 5m 45s | Aim for the Star | ♥ 1 | I think this games greatest strength is Fun. I really thing the progressive levels of difficulty make this game fun. Nice job! |
| May 9 21:08:53 | 26m 46s | RASHLANDER | ♥ 2 | I LOVE this game! I have a huge soft spot for brutal but fluid arcade games, and this fits perfectly. You can probably see the same DNA in my entry. Love: the shaders, the difficulty, the level palette changes (very nostalgic somehow), the mechanics. I also love the shadows and the floating debris, those are shocking flourishes for a compo entry. Uncertain: I'm on the fence about the gravitation. The game might be difficult enough without the subtle gravitation removing some of the players' control. That said, it does feel cool Wishes: I wish that the spawn points had a guaranteed distance from obstacles. Sometimes I have spawned within pixels of an obstacle and was essentially instagibbed. I also wish there was music, to which you say "LOL @mwcz do you even compo?" and then I slink away. I will definitely be coming back to this one periodically to try to beat it. (btw, on the game's page, the <title> is "New project") |
| May 10 00:28:41 | 3h 19m | Unnamed Space Project | ♥ 4 | GOOD GRAPHICS! Easy to move around! Overall pretty cool game! |
| May 10 00:30:57 | 2m 16s | Caelium Alpha | ♥ 3 | great game! I loved that you can as many planets as you want! |
| May 10 00:42:45 | 11m 48s | Trienne's Trial | ♥ 4 | i liked the almost 3-D effects |
| May 10 00:46:07 | 3m 22s | Arindama | ♥ 3 | OMG I love the Pixel graphics!! The music was great too! This game gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, great mood! The only critizism I have is that the controls aren't very intuitive, I kept wanting to use the mouse for crafting, but maybe that's because I'm use to minecraft. |
| May 10 00:54:18 | 8m 11s | Tiny Planet | ♥ 3 | Man that music is great for a compo entry! You definitely have some awesome musical talent! |
| May 10 00:59:27 | 5m 09s | Signal? | ♥ 3 | It was so great. I really liked the rewind feature, please make more! |
| May 10 01:00:49 | 1m 22s | Hot Day | ♥ 2 | I like that game is easy to understand just move the mouse! Cute pixel graphics, and good music! |
| May 10 01:08:09 | 7m 20s | It's A Small System | ♥ 2 | I loved cheering up Venus! Very innovative design! I like the planet hopping mechanic. The only suggestion I have is that when I was about to give the flower to venus I got picked up by mercury and had to go back. maybe put the characters a little bit out of range of the pickup zone. |
| May 10 01:16:18 | 8m 09s | Globe Trot | ♥ 6 | @richard-michael-smith Wow that was an incredible entry! The game play, graphics and sound were all excellent, but most importantly it was FUN! While I was playing I couldn't stop thinking about how much fun this would be as a Multiplayer game. Are you on twitter? |
| May 10 01:21:32 | 5m 14s | Small Tactics | ♥ 3 | Interesting game to play. More detailed instructions would be helpful. good design! |
| May 10 01:31:02 | 9m 30s | It's a Small World, So Let's Crash It into Things | ♥ 3 | I love the scary dark star voice, very creative audio! It felt very good to destroy the dark star. I like the particle effects when you destroy things. Nice job! |
| May 10 01:32:00 | 58s | Planet04 | ♥ 3 | good job I liked how challenging the game was. |
| May 10 01:44:29 | 12m 29s | It's a Small World | ♥ 3 | Great music! Very innovative controls with all the combo moves. Overall really liked it! |
| May 10 01:53:55 | 9m 26s | Slime Assault | ♥ 2 | Gotta give you props for attempting a multiplayer game for LD, I know from experience how hard that can be! Liked the art and the music. My only suggestion is to package it with something other than 7z. |
| May 10 01:59:36 | 5m 41s | Kanjo | ♥ 3 | Hello! Wow I'm very impressed with your soundtrack! It's amazing to me that one person could create a game and compose and perform original music in a single weekend! |
| May 10 02:11:30 | 11m 54s | Naziverse | ♥ 1 | Man those Nazis are mean! It took me a while to get past the first barrel lol! Very challenging game. I love the humor and the music. Only one suggestion, I think you should turn down the difficulty at first then ramp it up as you progress. |
| May 10 02:35:42 | 24m 12s | Mediator | ♥ 2 | I LOVED the pixel graphics! I love the attention to detail on the ship, like the animated panel on the wall. It reminded me a lot of Monkey Island but in space! |
| May 10 16:27:00 | 13h 51m | CHEM TRIALS | ♥ 1 | Enjoyed the overall mechanic, especially that the missiles just keep going around until they hit something. Would've like better sound. |
| May 10 16:34:33 | 7m 33s | Hi Pluto! | ♥ 1 | Hello! I really like your timelaps of you creating the game that's pretty cool, and shows how much work went into making this game. I found the controls hard to figure out and didn't get very far. Good humor though poor pluto! |
| May 10 16:36:10 | 1m 37s | Run, U Fool! | ♥ 1 | The color force field mechanic was interesting. Graphics were kind of blurry but probably because I was using the WebGL version. |
| May 10 16:41:33 | 5m 23s | Globe Guzzler | ♥ 1 | This is a great compo entry! I'm very impressed that you got the full package done in 48 hours amazing! The game was fun and funny and had great SFX. |
| May 10 16:46:12 | 4m 39s | Wee Planet | ♥ 1 | Pretty fun, very much like or game :) |
| May 10 16:53:43 | 7m 31s | Vegicide | ♥ 0 | This game is funny! Those poor veggies! :D |
| May 10 21:34:22 | 4h 40m | Escape from Sytlanta | ♥ 1 | This game is fun! Your team did an excellent job on everything, models, music, design, and art. And it's fun to play! |
| May 10 22:07:43 | 33m 21s | Game Prototype | ♥ 2 | You can feel the tension as the alien horde encloses around the planet, and you know you can't save it. I made it to just a hair under 2 minutes. There's a lot of potential here in sound effects, new enemy types, waves, powerups. |
| May 10 22:21:56 | 14m 13s | The Village | ♥ 1 | Very nice! Really impressive all-around polish. Great music, great art, fun gameplay. Throwing gold at people was fun. My only critique is that sometimes meteors left craters in the top-right road, behind the mountains, so I couldn't tell if I was repairing them correctly. For some reason the aggressive villages only ever attacked my tavern. Really fun to play! |
| May 10 23:14:27 | 52m 31s | Alone | ♥ 1 | The black and white graphics have a very cool mysterous feel. |
| May 11 00:52:02 | 1h 37m | MiniPolis | ♥ 2 | This is so cool! Figuring out that the game needed items taken and replaced took one life, but after that, it was easy to play. Agree with the others that the game gets really hard when the requirements double. A really cool take on the theme, and a nice entry for a time management genre. |
| May 11 00:58:35 | 6m 33s | Planet Domination | ♥ 0 | graphics are great. i love how competitive it is |
| May 11 00:59:34 | 59s | A View from Above | ♥ 1 | Hilarious,and easy fun! Left me laughing both times I played! |
| May 11 01:02:58 | 3m 24s | RSV Resourcer | ♥ 0 | Cool premise, with the added intensity of keeping human subjects alive. Wished, as others above, for perhaps a heads-up view, and real-time +/- usage of the resources. The AI is hilarious, and your graphics are SO cool. I do hope you keep working on this one - so much promise here. |
| May 11 01:06:41 | 3m 43s | Fat Rat | ♥ 1 | Love the old-school arcade music, it is 60+/- seconds of pure spacebar-slamming fun. AND if he gets slimmer, I must be getting slimmer, too. *wipe sweat* |
| May 11 01:07:36 | 55s | Enlarge your planet ! | ♥ 1 | i love this game, but I couldn't figure out how to win. Nice Job! |
| May 11 01:09:55 | 2m 19s | R.U.D.I. | ♥ 0 | I really like the graphics for this game! It took me a while to figure out how to play, but once I did it was very fun. overall a great game. |
| May 11 01:14:32 | 4m 37s | Satellite Bash | ♥ 3 | I really like the idea for this game! The controls felt nice, and the graphics were simple and smooth. I loved it! :D |
| May 11 01:17:43 | 3m 11s | The Microns | ♥ 1 | Amazing innovative game!! The only frustrating thing was the red dude would not place his fuel in the ovens in webgl. The other two guys worked fine. |
| May 11 01:17:53 | 10s | Cosmic Chaos Crunch | ♥ 2 | This was a nice game, I really like the intro cut scene, it was hilarious! The idea for the game is nice. The graphics could be a little better, but I know 3d is hard. |
| May 11 01:18:40 | 47s | Fixville | ♥ 2 | That was fun! I liked how the computer parts went together! Awesome graphics! I want to find more pieces and would have kept playing but it crashed. Great job! |
| May 11 01:24:39 | 5m 59s | Don't Make Me Stop This Car! | ♥ 1 | Hooray! I WON! The music was toooo much for me. Fun to play! |
| May 11 01:36:04 | 11m 25s | Abyss | ♥ 0 | I had no problem downloading and playing from the github releases page. I'm a huge fan of 4X games and this reminded of me a lot so I naturally liked it! |
| May 11 01:47:56 | 11m 52s | Gnome Digger | ♥ 1 | Oh man I REALLY enjoyed this game! I think the music and sound FX fit perfectly with the graphics and game. So much fun I could keep playing this for a long time! |
| May 11 02:09:57 | 22m 01s | 420 Planets | ♥ 0 | Man this was a chill game! It was very relaxing and fun to play. I really like the riddles. Sometimes jumping on the platforms was hard, but maybe that's intentional. Happy 420! |
| May 11 02:21:20 | 11m 23s | Endless Hexagon | ♥ 1 | This is a lovely game! I love the calm music and the puzzle aspect of it. I like the art on the tiles and the overall design. Excellent! |
| May 11 02:34:29 | 13m 09s | OLDDOG | ♥ 1 | Very creative graphical effects such as the warping effect! Great job on the music and coding! |
| May 11 22:49:44 | 20h 15m | The Space Explorer | ♥ 1 | I watched your timelapse and I was so cool to see how you created all models and textures by scratch yourself. This game is VERY creative literally. You made me want to learn blender! |
| May 14 04:03:04 | 53h 13m | Battle Ham' | ♥ 0 | Hey fellow Phaser developer! So happy to see another phaser entry in this LD! Fun little strategy game! I was able to get to the "Win" screen after a couple of tries. I like it! |
| May 18 20:56:20 | 112h 53m | Star Traveller | ♥ 2 | VERY nice art and music! I feel so relaxed... Excellent entry! |
| May 18 21:10:53 | 14m 33s | WRAP | ♥ 1 | Very, very nice! Great job, especially as a first LD entry. I love the tiny levels, simple but attractive gfx, and the high polish. As for feedback, I found one spike that didn't kill me, but that was actually pretty cool. Only one thing bugged me, and that was that dying and winning a level had the same sound effect and particle burst. A more cheery tune for completing a level would be nice. A couple of times I wasn't sure if I'd died or won! Overall, extremely good and solid, great fit for the theme, high marks all around! |
| May 18 21:16:44 | 5m 51s | Inner World | ♥ 0 | Very funny, especially when the Game Over screen popped up. I didn't mind at all that it was short. It was a funny disruption of expectations for the game to end so quickly. The inverted world was extremely cool and was the main reason I clicked on the thumbnail. |
| May 18 21:39:47 | 23m 03s | Spabullare | ♥ 0 | I really enjoyed this. It was easy to look past the missing audio and simple graphics and see the really fun skill game. You should be proud of this. The upgrades were great! The difficulty curve felt just right to me. I'm actually sad that I have to stop playing now (level 8) and go home! |
