The graphic and music of this game is quite good, but... this game seems to lack of gameplay? I ended up keeping the right arrowkey pressed and I was hammering the "z"-key, to get my highscore. By the way, on my german keyboard the "z" and "y" is switched, so the controls weren't very intuitiv. Evenso this is not your fault, you could think about changing the controls to some more common keys like "ctrl", "shift" etc... (maybe as an alternative binding?).
One more thing: Those image glitches... they were SO COOL!!! They worked out perfectly for the mood and gave a surreal touch to the whole scene, which is perfect, because the intense violence and blood is a little upsetting in my opinion. A game with less pointless violence would have pleased me more, but I might just be the wrong guy for your game.

I like the idea of a spherical smasher ! And i think you used the new post-processing features from unity, didn't you? Good to see those new things come to life! There is one problem with the mechanics though: shielding is not very rewarding. The best way (at least in my noob opinion) is to just smash the Z Key. So maybe there needs to be a scenario where shielding is usefull! Otherwise it is just not used! Oh and nice music!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah @wujood I use some post-processing features!

Hey @slash-random thanks for your feedback! I really doesn't know about switched keys due language configuration. So, thanks for the advice too!
I agree with previous comments that gameplay was a bit of lacking, because arrow+key smashing were doing the job, with occasional dash. Also, effects were very nice, but I feel that they would work better if they are reaction on game, not just random events. For example when player is damaged, or on a kill streak. But visually they are fantastic!

Awesome game, love the glitches. Some powerups or leveling up would be nice.
Nifty game. I think it's a cool idea to put in a circular brawler, and I liked the weird mood that you were putting in place. I would have maybe avoided making the screen short out unless you yourself were getting hit, because it was confusing otherwise. I think the fighting mechanics are the main area you should work on improving – as a previous commenter mentioned, it mostly felt like I was mashing the regular attack button while I waited for the charge attack to recharge, and the shield didn't seem to have value. In fighting games and brawlers I usually have fun with the rock/paper/scissors type mechanics – that is, notice one enemy telegraphing a certain move and counter it with the right option. Seems like you were almost there, but since the enemies all attack the same way with no warning, it's not possible to play "well." Great work!

These are some really cool effects, but not much else going on here. I'd like to see this with another "dimension" to the game- maybe the ability to jump and some platforms?

Love the glitchy, manic mood. Was too easy to get overwhelmed and fighting only seems to get your hurt (perhaps a point being made?).

33600 :D Very nice and playable, I love the graphics, shader effects, camera, sounds, GORE! Congratulations! :)
Real like this game! I feel the universe of the description while playing. The theme is respected and used in the gameplay in a original way (tourning round). When you are upside down it is not easy to direct my self but I take it as a challenge. The powers are well thought (used the shield while the dash was charging it often saved my life ).I noticed deep efforts on the graphics (deformations / glitch) that makes the universe unic.

Really cool game and those glitch effects are very awesome! It was a bit hard for me to play since I have a german keyboard and couldn't switch the Y and Z keys on my laptop for some reason :D Besides that it was a cool experience. Maybe adding a some other enemies for more variety, keeps the game more interesting. Overall a good job! :)
@pcmaster I beat you :D I reached something about 40000 :D
Cheers
Really coo, if sometimes slightly nausea inducing, visual effects.
Really nice, and the SFX were really cool, but they weren't in line with the music. The SFX and music were just so different.
Other than that, I really liked it.

OMG, the effects are awesome! This game looks like my favorite game, called Stag Knight. Although the bg sound is better in stag knight, I like your game, too. :)
hey man cool game! right off the bat the title screen was great! the art was cool and the fuzzy glitch effect was superb, nice touch. then when the game starts the visual effects really hit! absolutely incredible job with the effects, they were awesome! i do think they need a bit of dialing back, perhaps it was a bit of overkill for this particular game, but i love them and i could see a myriad of uses for them in other applications. i also really liked the story you created behind the game here on your game page. it would be cool to see this implemented in the game, either in cut scenes or actual gameplay. the sfx were really good too, i particularly liked the death sound. nice job with the player animation as well.
the gameplay was a bit lacking, but to be expected in a game jam. i tend to enjoy combo style combat in beat em up games, maybe that would be cool to add. i also think that it would be interesting to somehow tie in those bastards that created this fight club. like maybe the player has an owner who trains his fighter and raises stats, or maybe the rich bastards just bet on fights, or even just having a little window with some art/animation that shows them cheering on the bloodshed, i think something like that would carry the narrative and add to the atmosphere of the game. oh i noticed too that in the top left of the screen (the UI that shows the dash recharge) it says "dash (z)" when in fact 'c' is the dash key.
this was a great entry! i enjoyed playing. your talent definitely showed, especially in the visual effects. the music was good too and really fit the mood. i would love to see this game fleshed out, it has a lot of good ideas going. great work friends!
