| Oct 7 09:51:02 | Lost In Taxation | ♥ 3 | Hey, I'm the first and this is my first rating! π I read that you had some difficulties creating this game, what kinds of issues did you come across? What did you have in mind originally? The game in it's current form feels a bit stale to me. I played a few rounds, the hard ones did not seem that hard. I can see that you had some big ideas in mind for the hard ones. Looks like you had some kind of story tree in mind, and I know what kind of rabbit-hole that can be (my game, 'the cookie is a lie' was like that a few years ago) I chuckled with the fact that some are just like "oh I forgot", but then I remembered that most people are goodhearted and will actually react like that :) So, an easy hack to make it feel so much better, is to add little bleeping sounds when interacting with buttons and when text appears on the screen. It really makes a difference! *** I poked around a bit, hopefully you don't mind π I always get curious when the game is not on itch.io and if I don't see any references to some big-name game-engines. I love how you made a little text that says what setup it has been tested on. I'll try that next time! Soo... This is pure javascript with a toolkit named "sh*t"? That is so cool! | |
| Oct 7 10:00:32 | 9m 30s | Lafufu Collector | ♥ 1 | Ok first of all: That beat slaps!! That is very well done! I played your game for a few rounds and now its time for feedback: - I like the progression, it goes gradually and then picks up, which made my brain adjust before chaos began :) - I felt like the arrows say "perfect" too often, that could have been a bit more tight. Maybe max 1 pixel off would perfect-worthy - I found out that you don't loose points when the arrows are missed - The arrows are not on the beat I feel, that would make the game so much more satisfying - The GUI at the top right is a bit too far away from where the eyes are focussed (bottom center), after 2 rounds I found out about it - Love the little lafufu's! I wanna collect them all! ### Congratz on your first LD entry! |
| Oct 7 10:12:03 | 11m 31s | Reap In Peace | ♥ 2 | Hehe I had a chuckle reading the description π Congratz on your first LD entry @NasOnCrack! Hereby my feedback / questions in no particular order :-) - Is there a difference between the diffrent colored souls? - I like the different kinds of upgrades. Some "assisting", some affecting spawn rates and some just better tools - The window for buying upgrades does not close by itself, while I can still ~slay~, ehh.. collect - I love the background art ! |
| Oct 7 10:25:59 | 13m 56s | Limb by Limb | ♥ 1 | This is really well done. And also your first gamejam?! whouw. Congratz It reminded me of Duke Nukem 2d from the 90's. I love how it all starts like a normal platformer, teaching the player how to play before taking it all away so you know what to play for. It gives a sense of urgency. Audio, graphics and story are well done. I don't know how to make it better and I don't have peeves to share for now. I will finish this game later, I spent already way to long on your entry haha |
| Oct 7 10:42:29 | 16m 30s | Broke Custodian: From Dust Till Display | ♥ 1 | Damn that artwork is just so beautiful! Somehow it feels so satisfying how it goes from day to night. I feel that 100 days is asking a bit too much from playtesters. Maybe 30 days (a month) would have been better. Now idea how that affects balancing though. The digging site was really fun to do. The first time I did not read the big red text at the bottom so I came home empty handed. I love the events that pop up, even if I cant afford things or if there are no scary items and such. It makes the game feel more alive Great job on this one! |
| Oct 7 11:51:49 | 1h 09m | Flag Collector | ♥ 1 | A solid platformer, nice! I had fun playing yours. Some feedback I have: - I think the game looped around when all flags are collected, or did I miss some empty spots on the map? - Love the music, its catchy - The movement was well done and I loved the doublejump. I feel however, that the platforms could use some tweaking: making the player stick to it would be a natural thing - Some placement could have been better. Sometimes I was standing on a platform, not knowing where the next would be. I believe the correct term is a "trumpjump"? Where the player prays for the best and jumps into the unknown hoping there is a platform down there - This game could use some variation. Just a color-shifted version of the grass plateaus does wonders in my opinion. I think such think would take not that long to implement - I loved how the progress is shown in a map of 'murica! |
| Oct 7 14:48:23 | 2h 56m | A Very Sneaky Thief | ♥ 3 | What a fun game! The music is done very well and the paintings are funny π I felt that the suspicion-meter is a bit random sometimes? I can't seem to find out why, but often I feel a bit powerless if you know what I mean. Maybe it is accurate to real thievery, as that should be a bit uncertain too π |
| Oct 7 14:57:34 | 9m 11s | Chickens Go Home | ♥ 1 | What a fun game! I love how you gave us an environment to just destroy π I had a good chuckle when the helicopter took off. Love the ascetics of this game! If I can give one suggestion: the text at the beginning (the starwars one), could have been more dark. As it was a bit unclear to read at times. |
| Oct 7 15:15:48 | 18m 14s | Turbo-powered Cow Milker 0.1 Ld58 release | ♥ 0 | Just had a nice calming stroll in your "simplepoly city" , no idea if that was supposed to happen though. I just jumped over the counter after a few attempts :) I could not figure out how to serve the milk. Can you explain a bit? |
| Oct 7 15:26:02 | 10m 14s | PhishScape | ♥ 2 | Pretty fun to do! At moments I forgot I was playing a game in a game that I tried to alt-tab into the notepad. This is pretty well done actually. To hack into accounts to progress. Some sounds would have been nice to make the game feel more alive @shores you need to login to the other player's account. Every player has a unique inventory it seems. So one of them has a key |
| Oct 7 15:34:04 | 8m 02s | SKYHAND | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I love how the army is instantly there to nuke the damn thing haha, the search lights are a nice cherry on top First I had to read the description to find out that I need to shoot the houses to set them ablaze. Maybe some kind of in-game instruction could have been nice :-) |
| Oct 7 17:06:15 | 1h 32m | Cut to Pieces | ♥ 3 | Whouw this is so good!! I'm really curious about the technical part of this one too. I find it insane how good the many graphics are in this game. Those expressions are very well done and that butler is ripped!! |
| Oct 7 17:46:32 | 40m 17s | SECRET MUSHROOM PASTA | ♥ 3 | Yesh I finished it!! Your game is such a gem! The graphcis are done very well. Its a few colors, but graphics is more than just colors; its also design and you nailed that. Interactable objects are distinct enough that the player can identify them really quickly. The achievement thingy is very satisfying. I like how there are three achievements are shown, but other achievements can be gotten also. The options menu one was my first :) The music is very fitting to the game Screenshot 2025-10-07 194250.png |
| Oct 7 18:05:27 | 18m 55s | re:collect | ♥ 1 | The vibe is there! It's a relaxing game and I like that after some intense ones :) Did not find an end though, is there one? Or is it just exploring and listening? |
| Oct 7 18:25:44 | 20m 17s | Outward | ♥ 1 | Beautiful indeed! Saw your post from earlier. I think its smart how you did the music. The "supernotes" aren't as bad when the volume is at a lower level :-) I liked this little game, it was relaxing. I could finally eat my snacks while playing. The controls were very intuitive also Now that I'm writing this comment, I can hear the birds. Did you record that yourself? |
| Oct 7 18:34:03 | 8m 19s | Bone Collector | ♥ 0 | Fun little game :-) It's 'just' collecting, but somehow a breath of fresh air. Lots of people did not go that route. Loved the bush graphics and the SFX were cute indeed! One thing: there was an area with lots of bones, and those SFX play when a bone is picked up. So I had lots of sounds taling over eachother haha :) Edit: how cool that you worked together with your kids! |
| Oct 7 19:29:15 | 55m 12s | Carrot Collector | ♥ 0 | What a cute game! I love these! I could not finish level 12 though, it was too much for my little brain π All I need is 30 moves, instead of 29 :-) After 45 minutes I decided that I sadly had to give up |
| Oct 8 18:20:36 | 22h 51m | lone alien | ♥ 1 | I made 11 friends! π₯° Love your game! It could use some sound effects though. I developed a technique that I look for other potential friends when one was in the processed of being beamed up. Was that an intended strategy? I can't believe how many little humans you made! Did you create them all by yourself? Or is there some technical trickery going on? |
| Oct 8 18:32:18 | 11m 42s | Piggybank goes forth | ♥ 1 | Money!!! haha, I liked the game. But to be honest, at first I was like "what is this camera doin'??". After a while I got used to it and it gave the game some extra pizzazz The music slaps btw, I loved it! How much time did your friend spend on creating that? For me it would have taken a whole weekend The level transition was a bit weird though, first I thought the game was freezing. But after mashing some buttons it went to the next level :-) |
| Oct 8 19:17:11 | 44m 53s | Skeledaddler! | ♥ 4 | I skedaddled so hard indeed!!! What a fun game, as usual! You have the ability to make pretty complex games feel very approachable and satisfying to play. Its polished at the point that I can see my own reflection in it. The graphics, the music, the soundeffects, the puzzles, the juice. Its all made to perfection and I envy that How do you do that? Amazing. Thank you for this wonderful entry β€οΈ Edit: also wanted to point out that I enjoyed the puns as well :-) |
| Oct 8 19:33:32 | 16m 21s | Collecting Dust | ♥ 1 | What a fun game! I laughed out loud when the premise was explained haha First I thought this would be something like "do not press the button" where every moment would cannibalize the dust collection, which would have been pretty funny already. Somesort of anti-game, but what you made is so much better! I loved the cats haha Its a difficult game, simple to learn, hard to master Just curious though, I poked around in the source for a bit :) Did you use pure JS, HTML and CSS for this? |
| Oct 10 19:45:54 | 48h 12m | Key Master | ♥ 1 | Ooh I like this game. First I was like "why can't I jump?" but then it occured to me that it was part of the chellange. Well done! Some additional feedback: - The yellow card looked like a coin to me at first. The kind you find it mario etc - The physics felt a bit off to me. After a while I got used to it though - Its simple to learn but hard to master, that is a good thing :-) - Love the CRT effect! Love the fast paced approach combined with memory-elements also |
| Oct 11 07:48:40 | 12h 02m | Stamp Collecting on Planet Q | ♥ 3 | Oohh I spent way too much time on this one last night π It's the next morning for me now and it's time to reflect. I loved your game, this one was really clever. Its simple to learn, but my gosh hard to master haha. Its always satisfying when you set the stamp and the rods up for success. Sometimes a level would start and I was like "piece of cake!" and 20 minutes later I have a mental map about where the pieces should go but still no plan how to put them there I must say, but maybe its me, when the difficulty went up I was hoping that every level after that would be the last. Maybe because I set a time for each game to spend time on while rating and yours I spent already 3X as much on π Which is ok of course, that's a compliment! I ended up checking the sourcecode to see how many levels there were to get back my motivation. A simple fix would have been to have some sort of indicator in-game, or in the description above to let the players know how many levels there were. Then you create expectation. The game looks fun! My GF saw me playing it and was like "oohh can you send the link??". I love the alien language! I have a question though: does all the text accutally mean anything? Like: can it be translated? I saw a comment on itch that there were spelling mistakes and I was wondering if that player went through translating it or was just trolling Other thing, what is your process on making puzzle games? I always see it as the most difficult type of game to nail. And taking a look on your website I see that you did multiple original puzzles. So you clearly have a method of making solid puzzle games Love your website btw! It's got a cozy vibe! Screenshot 2025-10-11 002246.jpg |
| Oct 11 09:52:57 | 2h 04m | The stamp thief | ♥ 2 | I like the game, it feels very polished. Some feedback I've got: - Love the different kind of stamps and how similar they can be. I also like how the book is random each session - The explanation sheet was a bit confusing to me. The tutorial level was much more clear to me - Level 4 I don't really get. Maybe I missed something? The mission was to get 100$ worth of stamps. I found one that was >100$ and collected it. The mission failed though? - I don't like how the game throws you back to the start when a level is failed. It feels like a chore. Maybe the levels could have been a bit randomized? Or maybe de stamp values? That way, when the game restarts, you can't do it from memory The music and graphics are beautiful and I like how there is an indicator for the number of levels |
| Oct 11 10:04:30 | 11m 33s | Build-A-Bot | ♥ 2 | What a fun game! I have nothing bad to say, it was just a enjoyable experience from top to bottom. I think it's smart how you did the disclaimer, because the instructions at the bottom alone weren't as clear otherwise I like how individual parts can be removed and put back on the conveyor belt Two little things: 1. the countdown starts sounding the alarm pretty late in my opinion. When it goes of there is little time to pivot and get those last dollars in the pocket if you know what I mean. 2. it was not clear to me that the arms are independent of which side they go. I see it in de GIF now The graphics and sound design were very nice |
| Oct 11 10:24:29 | 19m 59s | Keklik | ♥ 0 | What a fun game! Love the graphics and the simple nature of it! <3 |
| Oct 11 10:46:47 | 22m 18s | Fragmented | ♥ 1 | oh what a fun game! Simple to learn but hard to master. At first I was like "this is easy, when does the challenge start??" And then came level 9, that was a puzzle to me. With perspective tricks and all! It was hard to see where the cube would land though, was that the intention? I like how level 10 presented the last cube on a silver plate, I was a bit sus though, expecting the whole level to change after obtaining it or something π The music is catchy, all expected sounds were there and the graphics were minimalist but effective. |
| Oct 11 11:29:17 | 42m 30s | Purarger Collector | ♥ 2 | This game was a delight! I loved it. After completing the cosmic burger, I went to the comments to see if anyone else found it and the I found the video from 100th_coin and he said "a classic thyoi game", so I guess you made some more in the spirit of these π I love how everything is intractable. I can't imagine how much time this must have taken! Great job! |
| Oct 11 13:44:23 | 2h 15m | The Collector: Star Ocean Epics | ♥ 1 | I think I read all paths by now, that was a long read π I like the stories, its a (sometimes wild) fantasy story with little nuggets of real-life-lore sprinkled in between. Sometimes I was like "what kind of schrooms did kr4fter take before writing this up?" haha. The cow detail for instance, or the dogpoo π π I like how the choises feel like the kids reacting to the things that are said. I think @lizz would love this one! Now I wonder, what was the original idea for your LD58 entry? Can you tell us more about that and the lessons learned? |
| Oct 11 13:55:34 | 11m 11s | Wavelength Collector | ♥ 2 | Damn! Is this raytracing in Javascript? I'm impressed! |
| Oct 11 15:24:54 | 1h 29m | Call Hector | ♥ 4 | Damn this is addicitive haha. Love the descriptions of the cards, there are some funny ones in there! The concept of sharing cards is very cool. I'm a technical guy so I like to ask technical questions π How did you ensure that the collecion cannot be complete without getting the cards from others? Are there for instance 5 random cards that can never be spawned in by the game? I have a lot of codes here π | # | Code | | --- | --- | | 3 | AwAI44t2nzcxxOSE2g | | 4 | BAAA7n3JEMfG4qU7kg | | 14 | DgEHKTgPQkBKenYXGA | | 15 | DwAFLMsOCfOYPhsyxw | | 16 | EAAISRP6BNw0FlKBdg | | 17 | EQAESAB_VGPmvq38nw | | 20 | XAAFmEb5Fa5ra4c9Qg | | 24 | GAAIZqrTEpgNzJsHjQ | | 25 | GQAF66rL66XvlYbiIA | | 26 | GgAEBR68hMnaz2riEA | | 27 | GwAFoq9jsvYIB8Q7KA | | 32 | IAACC78smY4pYgQlIg | | 39 | JwAAE01smmP8sda65A | | 43 | BgACCZnCfosiRpWHXw | | 38 | JgACkynjitVQLFnRnw | | 42 | KgAAOPzfD9x4BAHGuA | | 45 | LQACitaX0Mu2I77Pgw | | 48 | MAAC4qppLaiDZN4KVQ | | 51 | MwAEZSZBcjs7E9_row | | 53 | NQAIhX2b7GcVz-7FoA | | 55 | NwAI_4FCNPgAp_5HeQ | | 57 | OQEADWvz5NROOT1saw | | 61 | BgAC1V2uqMcTpUSS0A | | 72 | BAAA7n3JEMfG4qU7kg | | 74 | SgAHVtbWUIIF9ZWhKw | | 76 | TAAIoygC81WoStn9UQ | | 77 | TQAFxoOq34LhtT4Vmw | | 78 | TgAEImZejBme-GwMdg | | 81 | UQAFdt-Jb7710HU6mA | | 82 | EAADlPVFzwZkUxPRaw | | 87 | VwAITnFf1CT40CgzCA | | 89 | WQAHVjLD7nWo1f_c_w | | 90 | WgAFBQIqm96LqMcgcA | | 92 | XAAFmEb5Fa5ra4c9Qg | | 95 | XwAHNAVEilb0Ly_MxQ | | 101 | ZQABYg6pd_hL9AUegw | | 102 | ZgAA0UdcSyU-CFIepg | | 103 | ZwAHzqR2JU4IWUKcEA | |
| Oct 11 17:32:43 | 2h 07m | The Pink Operator | ♥ 1 | What a fun puzzle game! I escaped the system a bit too soon I think π It was a bit simple after you get the hang of it. Fun nevertheless, I see potential in this one. I poked a bit around in the code, I see some lore at the end of xxx.h. Any reason why you did not include that in the game? It looks fun and it would give some depth to the game The \*thonk\* sound is very satisfying to me somehow. Another Geckoo-classic! Last time I saw this c++ template style game was a few games back. Somehow I thought 'tiny creatures' was made with the same template, but after checking it's not? *** I have to think about your question regarding generating levels. Right now I'm thinking into the Dijkstra/A* direction. But that is for finding the optimal path, and not "clear the whole path in one continuous fashion" |
| Oct 11 17:38:00 | 5m 17s | DRUNK HUNT | ♥ 2 | I love the twist you gave the old classic "duckhunt" giving the player the duck's perspective. The attack mode feels natural and not too OP |
| Oct 11 18:16:13 | 38m 13s | Achievement: Unlock all achievements | ♥ 2 | What a fun game! Never thought about using the menu structure as the game itself! Very clever and those achievements are funny π Did not get all of them though. I thought a lot were pop-culture references regarding setting the date. Maybe the date-thing could have been a bit less in my opinion. The menu itself is made very well. I love the particle effects when clicking checkboxes π |
| Oct 11 18:26:53 | 10m 40s | 1 of 8,031,810,176 | ♥ 1 | That was incredible. First I thought this would be some randomized thingy and the gag would be that it would never end. But it was even better than that. Thinking there would be a satisfying end, you gave us... well I don't want to spoil it but I laughed out loud π |
| Oct 11 18:34:10 | 7m 17s | The A?! game | ♥ 1 | This thing got meme-appeal indeed! I don't know what I just played, and how you came up with it. But my gosh did I had a good time playing it! |
| Oct 11 18:42:43 | 8m 33s | Shiny things | ♥ 1 | Love the ascetic of your game π₯° I had some trouble with the sound, but turns out there is no sound. The game looked so good that I though something was wring with my system. You can't imagine how much difference it makes to have some bleeps and bloops sprinkled in. It should take less then 30 minutes to get that basic system working I think Gameplay was a bit hard, but I think that is the appeal of this one. Also, I find it very cute how the ladybird reacts π |
| Oct 11 19:07:01 | 24m 18s | Overemployed Empire | ♥ 1 | I had a blast playing this one! The UI feels pretty neat actually, you made that work perfectly. I like the quality of life implementations, like the little msn-buzzer feature when a dialog screen needs attention At first I thought I could actually type the email haha |
| Oct 11 19:09:36 | 2m 35s | Please don't touch my collection | ♥ 0 | I think it's really cool how you used your friend's collection for this gamejam! At first I thought there was not a lot to it, but after clicking around it was made clear that there is some story behind it. Really clever I have to come back later, as I did not find an end-screen or something. I see things in the screenshots I did not find yet |
| Oct 11 19:27:29 | 17m 53s | Coin Collector | ♥ 1 | oh wow my potato-pc did not like this one haha, but I did! I had to put my screen on 800x600 and then I got 20FPS or so π This was surprisingly fun! The music was catchy |
| Oct 11 19:32:56 | 5m 27s | 30 Seconds Till Winter | ♥ 1 | Hi! Congratz on your first LudumDare entry! It's awesome that you submitted your game. How was the weekend for you? Did you have fun? And what lessons did you learn? If I may give some advise: 1. Upload some screenshots and give a short description of your game. People want to know what they're about to play 2. for the first couple of gamejams, please do a webbuild/webgame. As you're new here, less people are comfortable with downloading and executing programs on their systems. After a while you can do Windows executables I guess, by then you should have a trusted track record |
| Oct 12 11:07:10 | 15h 34m | The Mycologistβs Journal | ♥ 1 | Dum dum duuummmm haha ok I love the end π I think everyting that could be said, has been said already. The dripping shroom was not accepted in the player house. First I thought I had the wrong one, as the ones I collected were not dripping at all. About the inventory.. Euhm.. It was not good, sorry. 3 spots and/or stackable items would give this game much more fun-appeal in my opintion. The posters were funny, especially with the end in mind Three questions though: - Was I supposed to find two keys in the town al the way at the beginning? - What is the lore behind the shop keeper only accepting shrooms when they were on display at the player house? - Are the shrooms spawned at random locations? Edit: "datadelft"? Zijn jullie Nederlands? π |
| Oct 12 12:15:24 | 1h 08m | Super Sucker | ♥ 2 | Fun game! The map is acctually pretty big for a gamejam game. I suck at these games however, so some things I did not understand. For instance: why does it look like I can suck up the rocks just before the sucker gives up? Do I need an upgrade for that? And do the symbols on the rocks mean anything? Looked to me that the symbols indicate direction? I didn't complete it sadly, but I had fun! The graphics are very bright, it gives the game an identity I think. The background music and sounds are top notch ππ» |
| Oct 12 12:27:16 | 11m 52s | Collector | ♥ 0 | What a fun game! I just adore the graphics. First I thought the "hard" setting would mean ridiculous speeds, but you made the track go all windy instead. Which is ok, but it did feel a bit slow to me. As you're developing a post-jam version, maybe these suggestions will help: - add some epic music. The right music will create a feeling of urgency - maybe a bit faster? The speed was too slow for me I feel - as tomssuli said: being shot by an (still) invisible enemy is no fun, maybe make the bullets reach less far? That way you can hear them because the're shooting, but the bullets will only hit when you're near enough I think it's impressive that you did this in Java. Is it all custom code? |
| Oct 12 13:08:53 | 41m 37s | Pumpkin Jam | ♥ 1 | Oohh I really need my pumkinspice latte while playing this game! β My potato-pc did not like the 3D aspect, but it was fun for me to play nevertheless. You had enough different kind of areas to not make it boring, which can happen really fast in a game where the core component is collection. This is really impressive for a compo btw! You know how to 3D model **Fast**! Even with the busted thumb (is it healing ok??) I love the little details, like the players punkin-face reflecting on the walls, the doors that dance in the night and the soloadventurer-watermark-thing in the skybox. I could not find it.. but didn't you do something similar in another of your entries? It looked familiar And then we have to talk about the gravestones.. First I was like "I don't remember typing in my alias" and then it hit me: am I in the credits? ππ₯Ή To what do I owe that pleasure? That is so awesome! Thank you! |
| Oct 12 13:32:38 | 23m 45s | Rastic Rush | ♥ 1 | The terminal is funny indeed, just a fun way to debug also I think? This game was less chaos than I'm used to from a commanderstitch game, I liked it. Just saw the speedlapse, you even created your own font? That's so cool! |
| Oct 12 13:39:47 | 7m 09s | Fish Feud 2 | ♥ 1 | Whoahw this is a hard game! Pretty in-deph lore at the start! I'm terrible at this game, so I could not clear the level. But is sure is exciting to play! |
| Oct 12 13:58:09 | 18m 22s | Tiny Expeditions | ♥ 1 | What a lovely game this is~! The vibe, the sounds, the calm graphics. Its downright therapeutic I had fun playing it. I think it's wise to have a timer per day and that you can play as many days as you want. Also, it's nice to see that progress is saved between runs, making this game re-playable If I may give some suggestions: - as it is 'day driven' how hard would it be to make it such that there is a day-night cycle thingy? - a crosshair or maybe a glow indication on the insects gives the player feedback that they can swoop the insect. Now it was a bit hit and miss |
| Oct 12 18:17:16 | 4h 19m | Stamp Divers | ♥ 1 | What a fun game! It's a perfect bit-size game for a gamejam like this. The graphics, music and soundeffects fit together very well and the gameplay is simple but effective |
| Oct 12 18:33:13 | 15m 57s | Lunar Burden | ♥ 1 | What a fun little game this is! I saw part of your lifestream when coding myself. It looked very beautiful to me. I must be honest, I was wondering if the game would be fun to play as so much time was spent on graphics. But my gosh did you deliver. A nice point & click detective style game with gorgeous graphics and fitting music / soundeffects. I had fun playing this one :-) |
| Oct 12 18:46:17 | 13m 04s | Collecting the One Pistachio | ♥ 1 | Oh that third level is brutal haha! Love the game, its very polished. Even options for a second language?! How did you find the time π That must be a first in LD history Graphics are gorgeous and the music / sound effects fit really well. At first I did not know who the enemies were, which was a bit confusing. Maybe because I normally don't really play RPG-turnbased fighting games. Maybe the enemies could have had a little red dot above them? Or something else that indicaties "these guys are trouble" Also, make sure to upload a cover image, it will give people an idea what the game is about. And make sure to rate + feedback other people's games, so yours will bubble towards the top. You'll get your minimum of 20 ratings much quicker Edit: congratz on your first LD-entry!! |
| Oct 12 19:00:39 | 14m 22s | Chaotic Containers | ♥ 2 | Fun game, the truck could not contain all the fruit, but I think that is part of the game π I love that background music and how it is directional. I remember the music being part of the game itself in other game(s) of yours. Its sorta a trademark by now I guess |
| Oct 13 17:05:46 | 22h 05m | Friendly | ♥ 1 | Fun little game ^^ Love that you had two languages! I had two outcomes: either everyone loves you, or all of them are disgusted. Is there randomness in there? Or did I miss something? |
| Oct 13 17:24:14 | 18m 28s | Stealth Hobo | ♥ 0 | What a fun take on the theme! Love the idea to steathfully collect items to get through the day First I was a bit confused why I could not open the bins anymore. I did not recognize the gray/red inventory spots Graphics somehow made me think of GTA1 I had fun playing this one. It was challenging, but not too challenging |
| Oct 13 17:40:13 | 15m 59s | Invasive Spectral Projectiles | ♥ 1 | This art is gorgeous! Somehow I love the death animation, which is a good thing because I suck at these kinds of games. I had a lot of fun though. Nothing beats a good bullethell type of game. I think it's smart how you make the player shoot the ok button to check if they understand the controls Somehow sometimes it did not shoot, and I could not a corresponding ammo-counter on screen. Is that on purpose? The music is fenominal, what software did you use? Nig props to 100th-coin and Mathstr0fficial for the video's! As I'm not that proficient with fast moving games like these, I could enjoy their walkthoughs |
| Oct 13 17:52:54 | 12m 41s | Catlosia | ♥ 1 | hi! I like the little game. Just played it 'till the end. Here's some thoughts: Talking to the master cat felt a bit off. I think I looked at the top right corner too much, which spoiled the assignment before the master cat could even talk. When I fulfilled the assignment, I hit space and the cat would talk about the previous assignment, etc. Making the kitty puke would reset all items again, was that on purpose? It could be used to cheat I figured (did not do that, so maybe I'm wrong about that) I think the puking is very accurate. My gosh if we don't feed our cat in stages, it will puke too π It would have been funny if the puke would leave a brown stain on the carpet π |
| Oct 13 18:06:34 | 13m 40s | This Rocks! | ♥ 3 | What a fun and cozy game. Love the characters and how they crouch when looking for stones. It's cute! No highscores, no timers, just collecting π₯° The graphics are gorgeous and the soundeffects are very well done. Especially the water sounds |
| Oct 13 18:49:40 | 43m 06s | Happy Cleaning Co. | ♥ 3 | Everyone: we found the winner of LD58! It's right here! My gosh did I have a good time playing this gem! The graphics are great, the controls and mechanics were satisfying, the characters were hilarious. This entry is made to perfection. I love it and it is for me #1 (and this is the 55th game I played) I cant give any constructive feedback to be honest. Normally I would have one or two points to "complain" about, but for this one I just flatout do not have any Thanks for bringing a smile to my face |
| Oct 13 19:25:05 | 35m 25s | Guard the Forest | ♥ 1 | Oh this was great! Just enough horror to leave me engaged. Just subtile enough to not let me close the game because I'm a wuss haha Love the graphics, I'm a sucker for these kind of visuals! |
| Oct 14 18:39:37 | 23h 14m | Bail-out | ♥ 3 | Fun game! First I was a bit confused why I could not pick anything up, but after a while I figured out that I needed to **hold** the mouseclick. Somehow I'm trained to just click to pickup. I think you way is much more fun, as you have the feeling of carrying something. The music is very well done, it felt a bit "pink panther" to me. Really sets up the vibe of the game |
| Oct 14 18:47:56 | 8m 19s | Predincament | ♥ 1 | This is a breath of fresh air after playing countless games with timers, lifes and other 'stressful' things. Just wander around and talk to npc's. Some have pretty funny text. I like it, but to be honest, after a while it gets a bit stale to me. For a gamejam this game has a perfect length luckily. Was the dialog a lot of work to create? Edit: The parallaxing reacts to the player walking up and down the train carts, that is a neat detail! |
| Oct 17 18:32:02 | 71h 44m | Skillector | ♥ 0 | oh my did I have a fun time! GF literally yelled across the room "don't forget to breathe!" π I was emerged, the game was easy to get sucked in to :-) |
| Oct 17 18:43:15 | 11m 13s | The Garbage-Man Of New Trash City | ♥ 5 | The music slaps! I like this game, but I also was terrible at it haha. Somehow the controls for the garbage truck felt off. I could not get the hang of it unfortunately. I played a few rounds, got the vacuum upgraded, got a city block unlocked an laughed throughout the process. I had fun The voice acting was very funny. "I didn't hire you to read, just step on the gaaaas" haha π |
| Oct 17 18:56:06 | 12m 51s | HUEVO | ♥ 1 | I like the calmness of the game, I played until I could buy the automatic feeder. Here's some feedback / questions π : - I found I bug I think: If I click the chicken-food (when it's full), my hard earned dollar disappears? - Did you record the chicken sounds yourself? Love the calm viby music - I bit too slow for me. Maybe a little faster would have been benefisial. But it is a breath of fresh air after playing a bullet-hell game ^^" The graphics were cute I see that this is your first LudumDare entry and that you already reached your 20 ratings, congratzz! |
| Oct 17 19:08:10 | 12m 04s | Shore Things | ♥ 4 | What a fun game! The music is very well done, I can't believe its all done in one weekend π The graphics are gorgeous too. And the gameplay is very well done. I went in blind, so when I read the instructions on the board, I felt happy as a kid running up the beach to dive right into metal-collecting! |
| Oct 17 19:16:14 | 8m 04s | Drone Collector | ♥ 1 | Fun to play! I had a good time with this one :) The buttons on the left-bottom corner did not really make sense to me, until I figured out it created little moons around the player. (i went in blind) The music is very well done Congratz on your first LudumDare entry! I see that you've got your minimal of 20 ratings already, that's awesome! |
| Oct 17 19:27:41 | 11m 27s | Colour thief | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I like the concept of stuff disappearing when the colors are collected! I thought to myself: "this can become a pretty fun puzzle". And then I saw that level 4 was called "the puzzle"! π I could not finish that one. I will come back later (if I remember) to tackle that one. I'm a bit tired after rating countless games tonight Great job on the game! The music made me think of the viby music from the Minecraft Alpha days π₯° Edit: just found out about the sprinting haha |
| Oct 18 18:23:59 | 22h 56m | Don Trickle the Taxmaster | ♥ 2 | That was incredible fun! But I do have some questions / feedback π - The screen was twitching from left to right a lot for me, it felt glitchy. Nobody else is talking about it, so I don't really know what was happening. If you want I can make a little video / gif so you can maybe debug it better - I thought the sign here would accept actual mouse movements at first, so I was a bit confused at first. I like the idea of it, it fits really well with what you've made - I had a really good streak with hitting the damn ZuckerBesos and then the game was suddenly beaten. I was a bit confused as I did not think I would be so close to beating it. The power of "powers" I think π - Love the message of the game! |
| Oct 18 18:40:14 | 16m 15s | Octrobat | ♥ 1 | Ok this game wins it for me regarding the graphics. It not only looks like a CRT; it *feels* like one too. I don't know how you did that, but I praise you for that (as someone who's got a CRT as their daily driver). Really cool! How did you do that? Could you maybe make a community post teaching us? :-) Even the sound / music feels authentic to the game! The game is brutally hard though. Even with the GIFS you provided I cannot finish it sadly. Also, I'm sorry, I don't see the theme in this one really. Sure, I collect pearls in each level. But it does not feel like "collector" if you know what I mean. Maybe multiple pearls per level would have been better. As right now it's more a mechanic to end the level Don't get me wrong, I had lots of fun though! It brought a smile to my face and in my opinion that is the most important aspect! |
| Oct 19 18:42:30 | 24h 02m | How (not) to kill your cat | ♥ 2 | Supercute! Loved the game, its short and sweet. Congratz on winning the CStudio gamejam btw! Some feedback I have: - The rotating-the-clock-mechanic is a cool idea, but it was a bit hard to control for me - The last puzzle seemed to require **(spoiler everyone!! -->> )** to extinguish the fire during 'runtime', was that on purpose? - The music is really well done |
| Oct 19 18:54:21 | 11m 51s | Mailbox Mania | ♥ 2 | What a fun game to play! The controls were very hard for me, but I think that was done on purpose to make the game more chaotic and I loved that. (I read your reflections post where you mention that) The speed boost gave me a big smile The graphics are fun and the music is really energetic, bringing a chaotic fun vibe to your game This game is really well done, especially for a team consisting of a seasoned- and a firsttime LDer. @pastry-chef, congratz on your first entry! I hope you have fun over here |
| Oct 20 18:23:45 | 23h 29m | Station 9 | ♥ 0 | What a cool puzzle game! Here's some first impressions for me - It was not really clear how to open the cabinets at the beginning. Clicking them sometimes would make a sound but they did not open. After a while I found out you're supposed to hold-click and drag to open the doors - The controls to move the little cart were a bit awkward, as at first I did not understand what the buttons did. Until I went behind the buttons and had the buttons and cart both in sight. I had fun playing your game, I think it's clever to have an in-game display as a guide for the first part. It did not break the immersion |
| Oct 21 18:09:25 | 23h 45m | LudicrousOafishMagpie | ♥ 1 | had a cheat sheet on my second screen here, pretty cool concept! Got some feedback / questions though: - Why did I need to press the desired letter 5 times every time? Is that a telegraph thing I don't know about? - What is the purpose of the magenta blob? In the first round its in the center of the screen and then it moves down one spot and stays there for the rest of the game? - The desired letter appears after hitting the wrong one once. That takes away from the fun trying to interpret the code. Maybe that could have been saved for the final try :-) |
| Oct 21 18:26:34 | 17m 09s | Tamago Bill | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I have some feedback / questions :) - What is the OperaGX / show console stuff at the bottom of the gamewindow? - When shooting the last bullet, the game is immediately thrown into the exchange-mode screen. So the last egg can never be collected - I feel like the bandits that are shot way before they're at the horizon, should drop two eggs or maybe a special egg that is worth more. To reward skill :-) I love the music! |
| Oct 21 18:34:38 | 8m 04s | Apple Basket | ♥ 0 | Fun lil' game! Normally I would have lots of feedback, but this one was just a breath of fresh air after doing some bullet-hell kinda games. It was relaxing to do π Maybe the apples could have had some variety to add some visual appeal? Different forms, sizes, colors etc. Maybe even bad apples that subtract from the score or something. I had fun, and that's most important |
| Oct 22 18:09:42 | 23h 35m | ShipShape | ♥ 1 | I like the concept of the game, its promising. I have some feedback and questions though: - At first I was not aware that pieces left in the hub would get destroyed after leaving, despite the text spelling it out very clearly. What happened? I collected primarily red pieces, and in the hub I went to the red chamber. However, I only saw the text talking about the key. When I went back to the green part, the text would disappear. Thus I saw the other text after 3 rounds of collecting asteroid ^^" - I looove the music! I wear headphones and the stereo is mesmerizing to me - The white astroids are very heavy to haul around, somehow I thought I could collect those too π - I like the puzzle element of it, collecting pieces and putting them like tetroids in the ship felt nice. I did find a piece that was too big for the front door, but I could just leave it stuck and it would count as being in the green part π I did not finish the game though, I went too far in the randomly generated level and could not go back in time. After that I did not feel the urge to restart. I think the game felt a liiiitle bit too tedious to do it all over again. I have no idea how to fix that. Maybe some extra 'juice' would help to let the player feel excited. Like particle effects and a special sound when the pieces are brought back or something |
| Oct 22 18:31:02 | 21m 20s | Blood and Bounty | ♥ 1 | oh that was cool! I put on my headphones and put them on high volume, that music is very good! As in: I would play this in the car levels of good! The gameplay was pleasant too. It was very intuitive and there was lots of polishing. I found one little bug: sometimes the screen was too small for the level. I could not click the "move" icon, because it was out of bounds when I spawned in level 4. Luckaly there was a guy right next to me, so I could stabbystab him, thus moving one ~~square~~ bestagon and then I could reach the moveicon. I had lots of fun playing your game! The enemies sometimes would shuffle around a bit, they did not feel dangerous. That could have been a bit better I think :-) Is that random? Or do they use some algorithm? Also, I did not really 'feel' the theme in this one. Sure: I collect bounty. But it was also used for upgrades. It felt like a normal game mechanic dressed up as collecting. Maybe each enemy could drop somekind of precious item. Like a golden tooth or a ring; thus collecting loot? P.s. it took me a while until I found out about the skilltree π Maybe the button could light up when a new skill is available? Sorry, normally I have bullet points for my feedback. I like your game very much and I had fun playing it. These are some random thoughts that popped into my head. |
| Oct 22 18:57:26 | 26m 24s | Last Minute Shopping | ♥ 1 | Oooh the levels are randomized! That was a lot of fun! I had to try 4 times in easy mode, because I kept ending in the situation of walking around looking for the last item and finally finding it as the timer runs out π The music was a bit too basey for me, I had to turn down the volume on my headphones to make it less intense for my ears/ |
| Oct 22 19:21:58 | 24m 32s | Creepy Collector | ♥ 1 | Really well done! I played way too long π I love how the correct combinations will deal massive damage. The graphics and music really fit together and the gameplay itself is just delightful. I like how there is even a character selector, like in old arcade-style games. You have a huge variety of different items with some awesome descriptions also. I think that is impressive for and LD gamejam game. |
| Oct 22 19:31:29 | 9m 31s | Stamp Collector | ♥ 3 | Oh what a delightful game! I was actually a bit sad that it was already over. I could have played at least twice as long without getting bored. The last few assignments where brainteasers. Maybe a time-trial mode would have been cool, having all kinds of brain-twisty assignments with the danger of actually having to hurry before the cat comes π However, I would make that a secondary option after finishing the game as the vibe of the main game is very well done and should not be disturbed I think. The music was really well done btw! I have headphones on tonight and it compliments the music very well. I like the stereo effect |
