The real-life story of Laika is sad, because that brave dog, the first "cosmonaut," as you imply — and I agree, why can't a dog be a cosmonaut? — died in space. Poor Laika didn't have a chance.

Yet, it's fascinating how you mythologized her poo — a charming story. I also liked the romance of Ies and Sess. I chose to be hers, even though she was a bit bossy and cold at first. But deep down she loved me, and now we're in outer space together, and always will be. A happy ending, as all endings should be.

There wasn’t a feeling that the choices made much of a difference (I played just once), and there were too few of them.

I think I read all paths by now, that was a long read

I like the stories, its a (sometimes wild) fantasy story with little nuggets of real-life-lore sprinkled in between. Sometimes I was like "what kind of schrooms did kr4fter take before writing this up?" haha. The cow detail for instance, or the dogpoo 😅🙈 I like how the choises feel like the kids reacting to the things that are said.

I think @lizz would love this one!

Now I wonder, what was the original idea for your LD58 entry? Can you tell us more about that and the lessons learned?

Thanks for that superhuman effort @wouter52 , well, I guess what I failed to assert perfectly well, is that this is a post-apocalyptic future where the history as we know it is remembered only through myths and fables, with any physical evidence of the past being researched and often misinterpreted by these "collectors". Or, maybe they misinterpret them on purpose because no one would want to listen to the real history as it is too alien and complicated at this point, perhaps even offending. I can only wish it was the schrooms.

The actual LD58 entry I am still working on and will publish, the only lesson learned is that if I use my own JS framework I may randomly get overwhelmed by bugs. Thank you once again for your kind effort.

Twinery for it? Such familiar text-based interaction design, of course I'm willing to read them. It's a bit surprising to see a novel pop up among so many jams, haha.

You could create it in a style similar to a visual novel, with multiple localization translation options, that would definitely be great!
