| Oct 5 17:59:02 | LifeLoop | ♥ 3 | WHAT THE HELL Ok so the mood category is definitely yours. Very chilling game, the art style and music fit, it's more of an interactive storytelling experience instead of a game, so there's not a lot of gameplay but thankfully the twist comes in very quickly. I just think the theme interpretation was kind of obvious, this was also the first idea I had when I saw the theme. | |
| Oct 5 18:28:40 | 29m 38s | office-hours | ♥ 1 | It was a pretty fun sandbox game. I feel really stupid though because these comments imply I'm missing some major plot, but I literally don't know what else to try. I've played this game for half an hour and still don't know how to get any endings other than the one where you go outside and the neutral ending. If anyone can help me, I'd love to know what else this game has. |
| Oct 5 19:17:52 | 49m 12s | Between Times | ♥ 1 | This was probably too ambitious of an idea for your first jam, I found tons of bugs and weird behavior... When the character collides with stuff he twitches a lot, if you press E fast enough on the cutscenes some text boxes will be skipped, after you go back to the menu your mouse is locked in the center, and for some reason my second time playing I got a good end before the buyer appeared in the house. It was a cool idea, I'd just recommend dialing down the ambition next time. |
| Oct 5 20:57:34 | 1h 39m | Koinax Loop | ♥ 1 | Interesting game. What needs more work in my opinion are the sound design, because the ship sounds too light when you hit a wall and the acceleration doesn't have enough power, and the collisions. The collisions seem to be all made of 90 degree turns, so I think that's what is making the ship turn sideways when you hit a wall, which is kind of annoying. Overall this is not my type of game but you did a good job! |
| Oct 5 21:17:48 | 20m 14s | Loop Industries | ♥ 1 | That was a cute little game, extremely easy and short though, the signs were pretty funny. Reminds me of a classic FPS game though I can't remember which one, I guess it's a mystery. |
| Oct 5 21:29:00 | 11m 12s | POKKO | ♥ 4 | Cute game! The cutscene at the end was a nice touch, graphics are incredible. There are quite a few games in this jam with a similar idea to yours, but even then I think you did a good job. |
| Oct 5 21:36:47 | 7m 47s | Dopamine Drip | ♥ 0 | That was an unexpected entry. You're definitely stretching the definition of the theme a bit but I'm down for that. Playing around was really fun, I love how confused the red team gets when you pick the blue flag back up. |
| Oct 5 22:08:45 | 31m 58s | Fruits of Insight | ♥ 1 | Cool! Nice graphics, the sounds are hilarious, it's not too long while also challenging, good game. @jakobthequizguy Alright I will go in more detail: - The start of the game really helps in building up the suspense, the story is simple and totally unnecessary, but I'm happy it was there, it adds just enough more depth to the game. - The character's movement is very fluid and the Hungry Conviction is fun to use, the level design takes advantage of that pretty well. The jump is a bit floaty but I like that, and I love how the jump height depends on how long you press the key for. - The graphics and sounds are grotesque and full of personality, there is a lot of character to this game's design. - Starting over when you get pushed to the left sucks a lot, I wouldn't have that much of a problem with that if starting back up wasn't so slow, sometimes going between sections is weird because there is so much ground between each one. - Although progression may be slow, the game ends fairly quickly. The ending is kind of disappointing because I thought the story set up in the beginning would be continued or given conclusion, even if it was just text, but the character ends pretty much in the same place as they started. I don't blame you for having a lackluster ending though, considering how my game ends. xd That's it, your game is really simple, that's why I didn't have a lot to talk about at first. |
| Oct 5 22:25:59 | 17m 14s | An Exercise for the Reader | ♥ 6 | Well at least you made something, surely shattered all my expectations. This has been one weird jam. Anyways, you made a fully functional drawing app! I'm impressed! ggfd.png |
| Oct 5 23:03:17 | 37m 18s | BUSHIDŌ | ♥ 4 | This is great! The sounds are hilarious, there is storytelling, the game itself is really simple but I like how you interpreted the theme. |
| Oct 5 23:12:11 | 8m 54s | Mel's Bells | ♥ 1 | God I love this idea so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Seriously I was surprised how actually fun it was. Having to invert AND reverse the notes in your head and actually doing it right feels amazing. I actually beat the boss in my second attempt through the loop. |
| Oct 5 23:21:29 | 9m 18s | Escape from House | ♥ 1 | Spooky, though pretty easy as well, the mother is not a threat most of the time. The idea is cool. |
| Oct 5 23:35:36 | 14m 07s | while(sushi); | ♥ 3 | Cute, relaxing, I don't think I really get how to play though, the tutorial made me expect catstumers to come to the chef and specifically ask for ingredients, but even after I figured out those speech bubbles had ingredients on them, I started making the sushi with the ingredients they wanted but the money never stopped going down. I don't know what I'm doing wrong! |
| Oct 6 12:50:17 | 13h 14m | Millenniloop | ♥ 1 | Congrats on finishing your first game! There's not much of a point to it since there's no way to win or lose, but it's a nicely made top-down shooter. The theme doesn't show itself in gameplay but rather the story. |
| Oct 6 12:56:45 | 6m 28s | Loop Invader | ♥ 1 | Pretty fun high-score game. I absolutely love how you handled the controls for spinning around, the WASD controls feel very natural, and being stuck to the loop does change the way you escape from bullets. The sound effects are punchy and the addition of hell mode is nice and really shows off how the enemies can also benefit from being in a loop. |
| Oct 6 13:13:12 | 16m 27s | Stuck in a portal | ♥ 2 | I love Portal, I love the aesthetic, the puzzles are really fun, it's just insanely hard! Not a bad thing at all imo. Only thing I wish was that you didn't need to click exactly on the floor tile to spawn a portal, sometimes I would click just a pixel above the tile and the portal wouldn't spawn. Maybe you could have a ray casting from the player until it finds a floor tile and then place a portal on it, like the original Portal. |
| Oct 6 13:46:36 | 33m 24s | Lupi | ♥ 1 | It's not a bad idea. You said it yourself that the game isn't finished but the bugs really do interfere with gameplay. The physics are very inconsistent and jumping on top of your clone is oddly difficult. Also if you mess something up you're screwed because there is no restart and you have to close the game... |
| Oct 6 16:19:03 | 2h 32m | Battle of Neptune | ♥ 2 | What an incredibly polished game! I love the different kinds of weapons, enemies, the destructible environment, beautiful graphics, not sure where the theme of "stuck in a loop" fits, but then again I only got as far as the second floor. |
| Oct 6 21:53:14 | 5h 34m | One Day at Work | ♥ 1 | That was honestly so cool. The way these people use their business emails is insane! All this game is lacking is polish, and reworking the balance minigame. |
| Oct 6 22:06:05 | 12m 51s | Falling Forever | ♥ 1 | Welp, that sure was a game, with an aesthetic. Can't even honestly say I didn't like it, if there's anything this game has, it's a personality. But if I really wanted to critique this, I'd say: The place you have to click to place blocks is weirdly specific, the characters you meet along the way don't really contribute anything, and sometimes when you start the slow mo when talking to someone, the character gets stuck in blocks or falls without you being able to control it. I've become weirdly attached to this though, so maybe the best idea would be not to change anything. |
| Oct 6 22:16:27 | 10m 22s | Beware, space! | ♥ 0 | Ok so the first thing I did when I clicked play was just actually marvel at how disoriented I was, the 360 first person view is actually mesmerizing and full of potential. Unfortunately that's as far as I got, I have no idea what to do. I get random papers from earth with jokes on them while my ship is exploding and I'm helpless about that. I try turning the valves but that doesn't work, and nothing else does anything so I just die. |
| Oct 6 22:56:34 | 40m 07s | Purgatory Hospital | ♥ 3 | First few deaths? Hilarious. Later deaths felt more and more cheap, and you have to start all over. Thankfully you can get to the exit quickly. I passed the cars for some miracle and then death hit me, super pissed, it was hilarious. Then I realized I spawned back at the start and honestly just rage quit after that. Dx |
| Oct 6 23:11:25 | 14m 51s | Stuckgrade | ♥ 1 | Yesssss an upgrade game!! I love these! And I love this one too! Very cute, cool, relaxed atmosphere and music, nice simple graphics, cool post-processing that's not too exaggerated, I could see this becoming very popular at school if this was released in the Flash days. All I have is a few suggestions: The player shouldn't be so close to the edge of the screen all the time, it slides a little too much off of slopes which makes you lose control easily, and you should design the level around the other stats too, because right now the only one you need to max out before completing is the jump. |
| Oct 7 00:50:52 | 1h 39m | LittleIC | ♥ 1 | I think this is a pretty creative game but also very flawed. The graphics are beautiful, and I love the idea of being a robot inside a keyboard, it's very quirky and cute. The gameplay loop though is very repetitive, I think it would be cool if there was some more danger to make it more hectic, like a timer to get the signal in, and if you miss the timer you lose because you caused input lag to the keyboard. I also don't like the music... It feels wonky and repetitive. Last thing: The controls were weird. T is way too far from WASD for comfort. Instead you could use a left click for both picking up and throwing (pick up if you aren't holding anything, throw if you are, since you can't do both at the same time). |
| Oct 7 00:55:21 | 4m 29s | Olivia | ♥ 1 | Fun!! I loved this idea. The second level is surprisingly puzzly and clever! |
| Oct 7 01:21:09 | 25m 48s | Loopy Loco | ♥ 1 | Fun game! I loved making looping tracks to change into another track, feel like this could have been more utilized! The level count is perfect. |
| Oct 7 17:38:45 | 16h 17m | Backpack Hero | ♥ 1 | It's an ok game. The graphics are really not that good but they serve its purpose, nothing was hard to identify. Also I was hoping there would be an ending, but instead when you beat the final boss you just get reset. I get that's the point, but it's kind of disappointing. The mechanics are cool but very unbalanced, for all bosses you can just hold C and mash X while shooting up and not moving, and you'll win. I think enemies could do some different things to the player instead of just subtracting from HP, for example knocking you back, or making you slower. That would make it harder to cheese the boss by standing still. |
| Oct 7 18:30:36 | 51m 51s | Press The Button | ♥ 1 | Very fun game! I really really like idle games, I played this one until the end and also got the ending where you exit. I tried doing the opposite of what I was told and got some new dialogue but nothing else so I assume that's it. The graphics were nice, the audio was adequate... When I first went into the office I was confused about what to do, I didn't notice the TV, so I just pressed a button, but after seeing the TV change and how the icon on the TV was color coded with the buttons, I immediately got it. One thing I didn't get was why the camera moves with your mouse. I think it's to add a little polish, but it moves so lightly that it's almost like the screen is shaking so it feels weird. The map is also weirdly empty, I thought I was gonna unlock something with the Game Packages upgrade but that didn't look like it did anything at all. In general it was really fun, I just love idle games a lot! |
| Oct 7 18:40:27 | 9m 51s | Crypt Loop | ♥ 1 | Very classy! Feels like a mobile game, but one of the good ones. The puzzles themselves are difficult and feel really good to complete. It's a very simple game so that's all I can say. One thing though, I don't know if it was just me but I couldn't scroll the page, and the bottom part of the circle was cut off by the browser, and zooming out kind of cut the circle into a square and obstructed it even more, so it was difficult to solve a puzzle in which the outermost loop had a slot in the bottom part. My monitor is 1366x768. |
| Oct 7 19:00:55 | 20m 28s | Save The Prince | ♥ 1 | I feel kind of bad rating this because this is really not my type of game. The battle system itself is not complicated, you just sit back and watch, but the amount of planning and going around the board that the game expects me to do makes my head spin. The first day took very long and I ended up losing at the second day. I'll say the graphics are incredible and the game is very polished. |
| Oct 8 12:35:32 | 17h 34m | Neverending Duck War | ♥ 1 | This is absolutely bonkers! I love every second of it. When I understood I could kill other birds and bring them to my mom I went crazy. I don't quite understand what X does, I think it calls my bros to me but I didn't notice it and didn't use it a lot. Still didn't manage to win but it's very addictive! The graphics are also beautiful. The only problem I have is with perspective, since it feels like you walk slower up and down because of it, so I end up walking diagonally all the time because it feels less sluggish. |
| Oct 8 13:03:18 | 27m 46s | SAW: 60 Second Loop | ♥ 0 | Really cool aesthetic and minigames. The voice in the beginning is really muffled, subtitles would be nice. I really could not figure out the 1 2 3 buttons one, I have no idea what more clues could be in the room, so I just beat all the others and randomly guessed the last number in the combination. The music is nice and intense, the ending is anti-climactic but in this case I think discovering the pin code is the real reward. |
| Oct 8 13:18:24 | 15m 06s | Stuck in a Soup Loop | ♥ 4 | Very cute quirky game! The cutscenes and tutorial are short and to the point, I love how blunt the characters' dialogue is. The hardest part of this game isn't even to remember the recipe, but to be precise with your mouse. I think this would work wonders as a mobile game! The music and graphics fit the game perfectly. |
| Oct 8 14:17:04 | 58m 40s | LÖÖPS | ♥ 1 | Cute? Funny? Idle game? Sign me up! I played this for a long time and unlocked all the stuff. Only didn't find the two secrets. I just love idle games in general so I didn't need a lot of motivation to keep on playing. Here are the only problems I have with the game: - Doesn't keep running when you switch tabs, and this being an idle game it probably should. I don't know how you would do that in your engine though. - The art is good but the cats don't look like they belong in the same art style as the other assets, even the cat receptionist is in a different style. - There could be more sound effects aside from the cats meowing. But this is just nitpicking at this point. |
| Oct 8 15:37:40 | 1h 20m | Suit Of Armor | ♥ 1 | I think the story behind the making of this game is really heartwarming and cool, I wish my parents could do cool stuff like this with me. That said though, as a game, it has a lot to improve... - The main mechanic of the game, being sent back to the beginning after time runs out, is more of an annoyance than a mechanic. The only thing that happens when you reset position is that you have to walk over to where you were all over again. - Not being able to walk diagonally plus the slow walking speed makes walking very awkward. - The locked rooms at the beginning hint at more things to come, but when you come back after collecting all the items they're just empty. - The music sounds like just random notes placed around. I feel bad criticizing this game like this but I think that's what's gotta be done so all of you can improve and make way better games in the future! |
| Oct 8 15:53:11 | 15m 31s | PRISON STATION O | ♥ 1 | Oh this is so cool! The 3D model is top notch! The idea of this is basically the Among Us crewmates building the most crap space station ever to get their payback, I love it. Moving around was efficient, there's a lot to keep track of but not everything is important all at once, so you have time to focus on what you're doing. The music choice is nice, the sound effects are impactful... what a great entry!! I was only disappointed that when I gave up and let communications kill me, I was expecting to see an over the top explosion. xp But only got a game over screen instead. Definitely understand though. One last thing: You should proofread your text because there's a bunch of spelling errors in the game. |
| Oct 8 16:23:04 | 29m 53s | Break the Loop | ♥ 1 | This!!! Is!!! So!!! Cool!!! Reminds me of Baba Is You, but only the puzzle part. It's actually kinda impressive that the code runs correctly for every wrong combination of code possible. Even if I never used Lua before, it was easy to understand what the code did and how to break the loop (having the programming language's name in the game itself was a great touch), the difficulty and fun was trying to fumble around with the pieces. This is really solid, I loved it a lot! |
| Oct 8 16:27:13 | 4m 09s | Lupotium | ♥ 0 | Same problem here, the buttons appear behind the character and I can't click them. this is what I see: Captura de Tela (2).png |
| Oct 9 13:20:57 | 20h 53m | Re:Live | ♥ 2 | I love the graphics, the sounds and music, but this game was insanely laggy on my machine, I was getting constant like 3 fps, and almost a second of input lag. I don't know what could be causing this but it was unplayable. I played a lot of more graphically intensive games this jam and had no problems... There were many games with the same idea of ghosts copying your character this jam, and the puzzles I could do were very simple "get to the next button and press space", but I didn't get very far because of the lag. Since I couldn't play this correctly I'm not going to rate, sorry... |
| Oct 9 13:35:20 | 14m 23s | Loop Guy | ♥ 2 | This has got to be the best thing I've played, probably in my life. Reminds me a lot of Octodad, and those "simulator" games that were popular a few years ago. I swear I would probably play hours of this if there were hours of this to play, people would pay for this, not even kidding. The gameplay is silly, but consistent. It makes you think! The music and sounds are phenomenal, the graphics are functional but charming, this game has it all. Edit: Ok actually there are some things that could be better: - The camera gets too close to you when it's close to a wall, it gets very twitchy inside the elevator. It's better suited for outdoor levels. - In the city level it's very easy to be launched inside a building by a car. |
| Oct 9 13:53:24 | 18m 04s | Last Lap | ♥ 0 | For some reason the web build doesn't work for me, the menu appears for 1 frame and then it's black. |
| Oct 9 14:01:47 | 8m 23s | Loop Stuck | ♥ 1 | I think this is a fine game, but the main mechanic of using your dead body as a platform was very underutilized. All levels, except for the first one, where it's required, are easily beatable without dying once. The music is great and the graphics are stylish. |
| Oct 9 14:49:32 | 47m 45s | Loop Frogs | ♥ 3 | Really good game! I love how you put a spin on the most overused mechanic in this jam by having the looping and not looping characters interact! The later levels started to be more about timing and reaction rather than puzzles. Only thing I didn't like was the final level. How was I supposed to guess you could double jump on fire? I thought the solution was going to be something clever that I had missed that could bring the brown frog to the green frog, but nope, just jump straight into the main hazard the game has been telling you to avoid. 😐 Gameplay aside, the game is also very polished. The graphics are superb, and the audio is so funny, I kept making the frogs die on purpose and it was hilarious! |
| Oct 9 15:05:06 | 15m 34s | Tower of Time | ♥ 1 | Very simple but very good! The theme of "stuck in a loop" is not really there, since there's a clear end to the tower, but aside from that I love the controls, they're floaty and slippy, but that makes it more challenging and fun to control! The game is short but it's also pretty hard. I love the ingame instructions, the sprite work is beautiful, the eyes in the background changing expression is so cool, and you even made music! Congrats! |
| Oct 9 15:20:11 | 15m 05s | Cycloop | ♥ 2 | This is an actually difficult and thinking puzzle game, especially for a jam! I'm straight up amazed at how you managed to come up with so many of these. Beautiful graphics (the shadow jumping is a bit weird though), the sounds are ok, the super clever puzzles and simple mechanics are what really make this game. I just love how looping around the level is a necessary mechanic to master to complete the puzzles, you just annihilated the theme! |
| Oct 9 19:14:41 | 3h 54m | Fault Outcome | ♥ 1 | Nice, fellow Brazilians! :D Alright so I think this is an interesting game, I like the VHS theme, and the puzzles made sense. I think the graphics are good, but the images look blurry. I like the atmosphere. I don't like having to rewatch the tape every time I rewind, I think coming back with the knowledge you had in your previous rewind would make the game less boring. It was also very short, but that's alright, especially for your first jam. I found a bug, when you put the VHS into the player while pressing D you keep walking, and when you hit the door you start rewinding while watching the tape. That had me confused a few times. |
| Oct 10 14:53:17 | 19h 38m | A Night Around the Fire | ♥ 1 | This is a really really nice looking game, and the control scheme is incredible in how simple it is. Deciding when to run and when to hide seems like it should require some strategy, but from what I played it felt like RNG was the deciding factor most of the time, since the enemies surround you and can find you quite easily. Or maybe I'm just bad at the game. The theme was also underutilized. The level repeats, but nothing in the game changes from that, it could as well have been procedural. |
| Oct 10 15:00:49 | 7m 32s | Looped Chaos | ♥ 1 | Nice, really similar to Super Hexagon. I like the simple graphics, the tense but upbeat music, the difficulty went up quite nicely, it's a very simple game so that's pretty much all I have to say. That death sound though, I get jump scared every time, maybe turn it down. xd |
| Oct 10 15:35:20 | 34m 31s | Beyond Death | ♥ 4 | Graphics and sound-wise you've got a winner on your hands. Gameplay wise I really like how you handled the isometric camera with top-down movement and the level design is to the point, but there are just some clunky moments to address: - The camera is low to the ground, and sometimes obscures obstacles you could have never seen coming. - The part where you enter the cave and change scenes felt out of place... couldn't that have been fit into the main island scene? I didn't notice that was supposed to be a cave entrance the first time and got confused when I had one totem left but nowhere else to go. - The area after you drown yourself on the river is too vast and empty. Looks like there was supposed to be something else there but you didn't have time, in that case I understand. - The game repeating itself in the end was pretty infuriating... I get it's made like that to fit the theme of "stuck in a loop", but doesn't make it any less anti-climactic. Anyways, that was all. All-in-all amazing game with some clunk but nothing that detracts from the fun! |
| Oct 10 16:31:11 | 55m 51s | Paper Loop | ♥ 0 | Cute game! I love the pathfinding on the player, it works very well and smoothly. Making a path around the city and collecting everything is very satisfying. It's a very simple game so that's all I can say. Maybe if you couldn't readjust the point you character is already moving to, it would make the player think a bit more about positioning. |
| Oct 10 17:12:48 | 41m 37s | Skicret Agent | ♥ 3 | GOD WHAT A GAME!!!!! Dude this is just OOZING charm and style! This is not only a perfect and innovative fit for the theme, but also one of the most stylishly consistent and creative games I played this jam. The music is varied and on point with the electronic feel and it ends right as you finish the track, the post-processing is cool and striking, the UI is minimal and makes sense in the world, the challenge is finely tuned, the mechanics are easily understood with basically no tutorial at all, it runs great... You guys deserve every little drop of praise you can get. |
| Oct 10 17:21:05 | 8m 17s | Whorl | ♥ 1 | Doesn't open for me, it says OpenAL32.dll could not be found. |
| Oct 10 17:54:43 | 33m 38s | SentIO | ♥ 2 | Man, what a cool meta game. Fumbling around in the files and seeing the character's development was mind blowing, the pixel animation was actually really fluid, the story I'll admit didn't really touch me that much but seeing how it continued made me want to keep going, and then of course the web page at the end just made it all seem very silly again. xp I think this idea of messing with the game files can still be explored further, DDLC did it already but there's a lot more stories and ideas that can be touched on with this weird mechanic. |
| Oct 10 18:36:12 | 41m 29s | Get Over Yourself | ♥ 4 | Alright, I finished the tutorial but I don't think I want to keep going... It's not even that these puzzles are hard, they just take too long. You could have really gone with an easier tutorial to let you adjust yourself to the controls before making you do a jump at the very end of the puzzle, where any small mistake will send you back to the start to slowly do all your movement over again. I must have redone the tutorial level like 15 times, and the farther I got in the level, the more I got punished for small mistakes, by having to do everything again. Finishing it just felt like a relief rather than an accomplishment... With that said, here's what I think could be done to make this game less irritating in my very unprofessional opinion: - Take away the time limit. The fact that your previous path becomes solid is already enough motivation to be efficient with your movement. - Make your previous path become solid immediately after you activate a door. This will reduce the amount of waiting around you have to do and also prevent the player from getting stuck inside their path's collision. - Give the player the choice to redo any of their paths instead of starting over every time, this way they don't need to keep redoing the paths they already solved (since this is a puzzle game, there is no reason why the player should redo all this stuff, since the goal is to solve the puzzle, not become better with the controls) - Redoing paths could also be used as a mechanic for more puzzles, for example: Path 1, make a purple trail bridge for yourself, activate a door. Path 2, cross the bridge, activate a green door that creates a green slope. Redo path 1, path 1's door gets deactivated and the original path you did for path 1 disappears, you pass through the place where the bridge used to be and use the green slope. |
| Oct 10 20:46:39 | 2h 10m | Shunk Stark | ♥ 1 | Really simple platforming game, weirdly enough I didn't have as much difficulty on level 6 as other people. xp I guess I have played a lot of these hard precision platformers. I liked: - The tight and precise controls, I felt in total control of my character at all times. - The music choice is quirky. - The levels were well designed. - The time limits were precise but totally doable. I didn't like: - The graphics are way too simplistic and flat, I prefer when games have some more character. Just personal preference. - There was no feedback to the player that red platforms hurt you aside from your health decreasing. I only noticed it in the final level, in the others I just jumped on top of red platforms without worrying. - For some reason your input sometimes isn't recognized when the level reloads. Sometimes if you hold the key while dying you will restart the level already walking, sometimes you won't. - The theme is underutilized. I get that the loop is supposed to be the level restarting, but that's just how platformers usually work. Many games this jam have used the theme in the same way as yours, so your game could have done with some new spin. |
| Oct 11 15:18:54 | 18h 32m | The Vendor | ♥ 1 | Very pretty game, I like the trial and error of choosing the items you think are correct and then getting feedback that helps you figure out the correct ones. There are quite a few gameplay problems though... - The close button for drawers doesn't work. - The close button for the speech bubble is too small. - The fact you go back to the main menu after trying a solution that doesn't work is confusing, at first I thought I had lost. Though maybe that was intentional. - The feedback for the fire sword: "You would think fire works with anything, right?" was confusing. I just chose the wand randomly and it worked but I don't know why. - The Go button for level 2 doesn't work, I think I chose the correct items but it just doesn't do anything. I tried reloading the page too and the problem persisted. |

The idea of the robots looping over instructions fits the theme perfectly, and interfering with those instructions simply by moving around is genius. My only real complaints are that there is too few puzzles, and the graphics were a bit too much for my computer to handle. |

I actually liked this game a lot, gameplay, graphics and music. The only thing that felt off was the timing to hit the notes, but I got the hang of it and I think I know what the problem is. I assume the window for correct inputs start when the play head hits a note, and ends a few frames later, but you also have to give players the chance to hit the note a few frames before the note plays. Games like Rhythm Heaven have ~4 states of accuracy for hitting a beat: you can be on point, a little early, a little late, or miss completely. Your game has only three: Being on point, missing completely, or a little late. If you are just a little early you miss completely, which makes the input detection feel inconsistent. Later on in your game, when I got the hang of how the input detection works, I started hitting the notes something like a frame after I normally would, and that got me to hit notes more consistently pretty much every time. So yeah, my suggestion is that you make the window of opportunity to hit a note extend before and after the note actually plays. |
