Cool looking game for 48 hours. It took me a couple of minutes to get the dynamic of the game. Was gooen I had a feel for it planning your way around the city, and trying to think of the best way to approach all the boxes and in what order.

I also loved that there's a speed difference when you go over the gravel and when you hit an obstacle the little spin animation :)

I didn't really get the link to the sound in the background, but it "felt" right for the setting being brightly coloured etc :)

Well done!

Love the mechanic and aesthetics of the game! Was a little confused about the people standing around though- are you supposed to interact with them?

gorr 2020-10-05 05:28

Nice graphics. I really enjoyed

sirred 2020-10-05 18:00

I really enjoyed it. Very calming to play as you go about delivering papers and making animals spin around. Was confused on how to start the delivering at first but then realized I had to go to the post office.

Very polish for a 48hr game

qui 2020-10-06 10:09

Simple yet elegant design and mechanics. It's incredibly well polished for a game made in such a short time. The little details like bumping the npcs and throwing the paper ad a lot to the overall mood.

bereg 2020-10-06 11:21

What a cute little game! I like the graphics and sound, it looks like very polished game. The idea of finding the shortest path is interesting, I think it could benefit if you let player to add new points to the curve. But overall it's fun to play. Great job!

nakami 2020-10-06 12:31

@bereg Thanks ! I have develop the feature to add and remove points but the problem was that once you had placed all points to get to every needed destination, the game become boring because you are just waiting. So I made some test and decide that 4 points is the right amount to have interaction for the whole day/level.

I like art and gameplay. And fun sound when you drive near the trees

froggimarc 2020-10-07 17:45

My brain likes this game and the problem solving. :) I think this would be perfect as a mobile game. Also, I really like the Voxel graphics! Good job!

pekuja 2020-10-07 17:56

The game looks great and I like your take on the theme! I initially thought I was supposed to design the perfect paper route, which was also confusing because when you're in the starting loop you don't even know where you need to go. That said, it was pretty fun once I figured out how I'm supposed to play, though I still spent too much effort trying to optimize the number of interactions, which meant I pretty much scored one star every time because I was taking too long and I was trying to just get my paper boy to ride through the necessary areas while not actually dropping the marker there. I also wish the pathfinding was visualized to help me with where to place my waypoints.

jin9310 2020-10-08 15:49

Really sweet idea. Would be great to have some background music and really nice take on the theme! Great job, really liked that experience!

gurpegui 2020-10-08 16:14

It took me a few minutes to get it but after that is a really nice game on point with the theme!

sirkovitch 2020-10-08 19:43

Really simple and fun to play, and quite relaxing ! The art works really well, well done.

mvasko2 2020-10-08 19:49

Really interesting idea and control style.

It was quite calming to play, and the graphics were a joy to look at. Great job, I can't believe only 28 hours went into making it.

ds-nahogara 2020-10-09 13:00

Very relaxing game! I like how you can literally go anywhere with the pointers, the mood of the game is totally fitting, and the theme does aswell, awesome game! :hearts:

shadowhaxz0r 2020-10-09 13:00

Nice game! Really liking the graphics and the interesing control scheme, was a bit confused about what hitting the people does, but well done overall!

fermingimpel 2020-10-09 13:10

Nice game, very good graphics, and the sound when you hit your neighbors is funny

ruling-spear 2020-10-09 13:45

Such a great looking game. Loved the art! The mechanic of the four pointers is quite interesting and can give some really cool gameplay. Would be cool to add some obstacles that can set you back a bit or something. For 48 hours, excellent job!

madbeagle 2020-10-09 14:15

Highest ratings I've given to an LD game, 5 across the board except sound as some music would have been nice. Superb. Would translate well to a mobile game.

hoolop 2020-10-09 14:23

Nice concept, I really liked the pointers loop to set a path for the postman ! Graphics and sounds are pretty cool but it's missing music to complete this game (and more levels but obviously it's a game jam so no time to create many levels I get it). Great job !

archimagus 2020-10-09 14:28

Super cute game, and a great use of the theme. I did run into a bug where sometimes the pointers would get stuck and I'd have to restart the game to fix it. On the first day I drug the pointer closest to the green square on top of the building there and then I couldn't move any other pointers. After a restart I made sure to not drag any outside of the streets and it seemed fine then.

I am not normally a fan of the "pixely" blocky graphics but these were really cute and worked well for the game. The audio was simple but fit the mood of the game just right. And the little interactions when the bike hit a character just made it all feel a little more finished than it otherwise would have.

Great job.

garys 2020-10-09 14:31

Lovely graphics and fun sound... it's a great idea, but I found it difficult to get the hang of. That's more my lack of ability than anything else though!

flazone 2020-10-09 14:38

Lovely game, really liked the audio!

tom-a 2020-10-09 15:56

Your character designs are brilliant and a great interpretation of the theme.

somogy 2020-10-09 16:13

Great game, very well done. Good job Dudes

basileios 2020-10-09 20:07

I quite liked this one! The idea is simple, but it is really stylistically pleasing and fun to play. I think there needs to be a bit more of an indicator of the loop, however.

icxon 2020-10-10 07:23

Love the game and little details. Fun and relaxing. Keep it up!

Cute game! I love the pathfinding on the player, it works very well and smoothly. Making a path around the city and collecting everything is very satisfying. It's a very simple game so that's all I can say. Maybe if you couldn't readjust the point you character is already moving to, it would make the player think a bit more about positioning.

alessia-ip 2020-10-11 14:28

Very lovely and calming game to play. It feels exceptionally polished, and it's a nice touch to get the option to repeat levels. I was still figuring out how to play the first time, and really liked being able to keep at the same level until I had a better score for it.

fmdkdd 2020-10-11 15:08

Playing the traveling salesman are we? I like the concept. Though the game in its current state is a bit too easy to cheese: you can just move the blue waypoint around to change the direction of the postman, which is equivalent to having unlimited waypoints. I would suggest that at least the waypoint the postman is driving towards to cannot be moved by the player. But maybe you could also 'freeze' all the waypoints until the postman has done a full lap, so that the player actually has to think ahead. A timer would also create tension: either a global one to finish the level, or one that refreshes at each delivery.

jvdwijk 2020-10-16 11:13

I loved the visual style and was very nice to find the best route to get the most points! It would have been cool to get like a set up stage where you can set up your first route before moving your character. that way you have a bit more control over your stats. Impressive work!

gaming-night 2020-10-16 11:30

Very nice chill game !

fluffygamedev 2020-10-16 12:06

Very nice game! The graphics are really cute. And though the gameplay is simple, the game itself can become challenging (especially if you try to avoid running over the pedestrians).

thesnide 2020-10-16 12:14

Nice game!

trexxak 2020-10-19 23:40

Yeah no, this is impressive work (especially on the aesthetic front) for only 28 hours!

The gameplay felt satisfying enough and frictionless! Great job!
