| Apr 26 15:12:03 | Deep in the sea | ♥ 1 | Fun little game. The beginning was really slow but after that it was frenetic! Kept me on my toes. The graphics are programmer art, which I understand cus of the time. The music though was... bad. I don't want to be mean but random notes on a piano don't serve to set any kind of mood, I'd prefer just ambient noise. Overall it was fun and challenging. | |
| Apr 27 01:18:30 | 10h 06m | the truth in the darkness | ♥ 1 | This looks like it would be a pretty interesting lil experience, but unfortunately there are many flaws... The camera is so zoomed in that you can't see where you're going, so you die from stuff you couldn't even see. Also for some reason the power-ups didn't respawn when you died, so if you died once you had to re-launch the game and do all the walking again in one go. I did this multiple times until I got tired so I didn't finish the game, I'm sorry. :( Though if this is your first time doing a jam, don't let me discourage you. Surely come back for the next one, cus you'll have learned a lot and will do tons better! |
| Apr 27 01:35:53 | 17m 23s | Beepo's Shop | ♥ 1 | Flipping beautiful!! Calm and cheerful, and super satisfying! The graphics are that exact fine balance between simplicity and character, it's all jumpy and bright, but also relaxed. The instructions page got me worried thinking it was a complicated puzzle game but it's really self-explanatory once you start. :p Very difficult but I can see myself trying for hours, this is super fun! Can't see a single thing wrong with it. |
| Apr 27 11:22:16 | 9h 46m | Dig Game IDK | ♥ 2 | I'm not the biggest fan of highscore games but this is pretty fun! Even though it's really simple it doesn't feel unpolished. Going faster and faster with the camera zooming out is really satisfying. I do think some sound would have made this feel a lot better. |
| Apr 27 12:50:37 | 1h 28m | deepfeater | ♥ 1 | So a guy stops me and speaks circles to me, I press WASD but nothing happens. I think this was supposed to be a rhythm game? I don't understand how to play. |
| Apr 27 13:10:14 | 19m 37s | In Too Deep | ♥ 1 | This is so so fun!! Got 2449. The graphics are nice and stylish, going deeper in the map feels very satisfying, keeping the ants away is a great challenge. Don't see anything bad in it! |
| May 2 14:50:10 | 121h 39m | Deep Sea Phishing | ♥ 2 | Wow! Interesting how you managed to reuse the minigames while not making it feel repetitive. Here are the notes I took while playing: - Really nice graphics, 2000s CD-rom game vibes - Fun music - Accidentally skipped all the dialogue while changing the volume (pressing the volume up button counted as multiple key presses for some reason) - Scamming only bad people was really funny - Nice final boss although easy So yeah this is a straight up great entry! The volume thing I think was just my PC messing up, aside from that it was all good. |
| May 2 18:20:21 | 3h 30m | Explovation | ♥ 2 | This was pretty fun! Here's some notes I took while playing: - Fun bomb patterns and names - Satisfying explosions - Can't quit from fullscreen (or at least I don't know how) - Slimes are way too fast and seem to never die, I once died to a slime that was down off-screen and just came zooming by and hit me - Coins have gravity and sometimes get stuck inside blocks when they fall too fast - The visuals and lighting are freaking beautiful One suggestion I have is to maybe have the screen be vertical instead of horizontal, like a phone game. That way you could more easily see where you are going! Nevermind that, it's a really good game. |
| May 2 18:40:13 | 19m 52s | Depths of Slumber | ♥ 1 | Here's some notes I took while playing: - Cool freaky aesthetic - Not sure if it's infinite or not so I stopped after I got bored - Other ratings mention music but I didn't hear any, even though there were sound effects... This game felt pretty shallow... Not sure if I missed something, but there wasn't a lot to do. Most of the rooms were empty and not hitting yourself is pretty easy. Feels more like a game for you to vibe to/be hypnotized by than a game to actually play. :p |
| May 2 19:44:20 | 1h 04m | Downtown Payback | ♥ 2 | Here's some notes I took while playing: - Frenetic and fun - Weapon and item variety is insane!! - Good replayability - Really wished you didn't have to rewatch the cutscene when restarting I'm very impressed! Honestly the most fun game I've played this jam. It's super fun to mow down enemies and then have to run back to the store to get a new gun! |
| May 2 20:36:35 | 52m 15s | Power Station Beta | ♥ 0 | Beautiful, though confusing game. Here are some notes I took while playing: - Beautiful Portal graphics! - Wish I could change mouse sensitivity. - Footstep sound too loud. - Yellow ray coming from you covers half the screen. - I don't understand what the puzzle is. Sometimes I just enter a new room and all the orbs are already yellow so I don't need to do anything. - Don' understand the ending, don't know if it's possible to get up to the last elevator. So I'm super confused because I did not get how the orbs worked. Sometimes they seemed to turn yellow when hitting a wall, sometimes they just turned yellow by themselves, idk. |
| May 16 20:28:53 | 335h 52m | Back Down | ♥ 1 | This was pretty fun! Here are some notes I took while playing: - Cute graphics! - Weird how the object that changes gravity looks like a trampoline. - I really like metroidvanias! - Passed through the floor once and got stuck. 1.png - Really cool ending!! So aside from that problem this was really good! Short and sweet. |
| May 16 20:38:36 | 9m 43s | Fetch Ball! | ♥ 1 | Congrats on your first jam!! Here are some notes I took while playing: - Graphics are.. not good xd but they are charming. - Gameplay feels really fluid and fun! - The camera is a little bit too zoomed in. - It's easy to cheat if you stay close to your owner and jump when they throw the ball. So, this is an ok entry, playing it is nice, it's really unpolished but that's to be expected if you're just starting, overall I did find it really fun! |
| May 16 20:54:43 | 16m 07s | Dungeon Blast | ♥ 1 | Superb! Here are some notes I took while playing: - Really like the art, visual effects and music! - Some typos. - Fast paced! - Challenging but fair! Talk about a perfect entry! You did an amazing job! |
| May 16 21:54:44 | 1h 00m | Surinapiri - Suruvuori | ♥ 1 | Here's some notes I took while playing: - Right-panned guitar in the menu made me think my headphones were broken. - Damn good music tho - Funny graphics - Turning with the arrow keys is really awkward. I know it's based on Doom but I'd have preferred the precision of using the mouse. - Having to hold down space for a bit before shooting got me confused for a bit. - Enemies take a second to despawn after their death animation plays, and they keep shooting. - Not sure if it's infinite or not, I just stopped after like 6 floors. So this is a pretty fun game, if a little janky. The music and graphics were definitely the best part! |
| May 16 22:14:11 | 19m 27s | Taupi Taupe | ♥ 0 | Here are some notes I took while playing: - Music was weirdly ominous. - Damn this is like impossible! Uh, that's it. :p Yeah what a difficult game! Maybe if I could see more of what's ahead it wouldn't be that hard, all I know is that I only got to 16. xd |
| May 16 22:44:00 | 29m 49s | Afterlife | ♥ 2 | Here are some notes I took while playing: - Damn good music! - Super fun and satisfying mechanic! - Fun little quotes in the portal rooms! - If you enter a portal through the left and exit the portal room, you will enter the portal again unless you stop. - Good variety of guns and upgrades! A little lacking on the variety of levels. - Wish I didn't lose horizontal momentum when stepping on the ground. Though basically this is the perfect entry! Complaints are minimal. |
| May 17 00:59:34 | 2h 15m | Debts and Pandamonium | ♥ 1 | Here are some notes I took while playing: - The menu music is kinda bad... and sounds are too loud. In-game music is pretty nice. - Voice acting! Cool! - E to interact would have felt better - Character portraits show all their heads instead of just one, and the in-fight gun sprites have black backgrounds - What is the bar below the life bar in the fights supposed to be? - I talked to everyone I found and still have zero clue what I'm supposed to do... So maybe I just didn't get how to play, but I had no idea what the mission was ever, what killing the dogs was for, what purpose talking to people serves, I feel totally lost playing. These other comments confuse me, is the downloadable version of the game up to date? It was the one I played. |
| May 17 19:57:41 | 18h 58m | Deep Cover | ♥ 3 | Here are the notes I took while playing: - Beautiful graphics, music, the whole mood is perfect! - Really quick tutorial! - Gathering evidence is pretty satisfying! And genius way of showing them! - Didn't expect there to be another level! Impressive! - The guy is still dressed like a waiter which is a bit silly :p - JDSAKJDASKJADSJ Just genius! Hilarious! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really liked this, best game so far. Congrats to all the team. You clearly had a defined vision from the start and executed it flawlessly, fricking, well done! |
| May 17 20:11:51 | 14m 10s | Refrigerator Rampage | ♥ 0 | Here are some notes I took while playing: - The menu is uh, creative but super ugly. xd The options menu doesn't have anything. - The music is kinda funny xd - Weird how you can win and die at the same time - Gameplay is pretty fun and simple. - It's pretty easy to get stuck on the ground or on the walls and I don't know why. So this is a pretty janky but funny game. I actually got myself laughing a few times just looking at the milk carton gliding around xdd I think the only thing that desperately needs work in this game is the UI, it scales up and down super weird so it's all conjoined in the middle of the screen. Also everything has transparency, so there's a lot of visual noise. |
| May 17 22:32:06 | 2h 20m | Bean Guy: Underground | ♥ 0 | Here's some notes I took while playing: - Music is cute - Graphics are all over the place in some areas - Fun walljumping - Jumping on enemies' heads is always fun - Ok weird how I discovered the wall jumping mechanic accidentally and it was never used :p So, I don't know how true that is, but the feeling I got while playing is that you got some assets from the Unity Asset Store and decided to make a game with them, which is fine, I thought it was pretty fun, but it does make the game feel disjointed. Things like the unused wall jumping mechanic, an A button appearing in the dialogue boxes, which you had to explain corresponded to the Spacebar in the controls screen, and the different particle effects and art that every enemy/collectible has. To be clear, I don't think there is anything wrong with using pre-made assets in a jam, I just think you should work a little more on making them all fit together into a cohesive game. |
| May 18 17:56:05 | 19h 23m | Aftermath | ♥ 1 | Here's some notes I took while playing: - Cool moody graphics - I'd prefer if I could skip the dialogue - Music kinda hurts my ears - I walked all the way to the left expecting an ending and fell through the floor :d - Text is really small and the font is hard to read - Can I not get the knife on the floor? - Oh I think I understand, you can only reach the end with one item at a time. - Wish there was something more to do than just walking right and choosing an ending.. Ok I got all the endings. I can't really say it was a very engaging game but I think it does a nice job of setting a mood. |
