| Oct 4 13:58:57 | Larry the Vengeful Balloon | ♥ 1 | This is beautiful! I love the absolutely chaotic energy of everything, from the mechanics to the aesthetics, which fits the theme perfectly. Nice touch having a bonus round with tons of balloons every once in a while. Ran well on my phone too. The graphics aren't super pretty, but really there is nothing to criticize here, nice job! | |
| Oct 4 18:13:57 | 4h 15m | Beep Boop Boba | ♥ 2 | Fun lil game! Balancing all the ingredients is difficult, but luckily you can put them in any order, so it's up to the player to create a strategy for juggling the cups around. Love that! The music is simple but fun, and the graphics are cute, though I can't figure out what the costumers are supposed to be.. giant hamburger people? Anyway great job! |
| Oct 4 18:42:07 | 28m 10s | Unhitched Isles | ♥ 1 | Such a creative interpretation of the theme! There's tons to think about where to place your next thing, and each subsequent task is a real challenge. The graphics are pretty ugly, but that's excusable. Good sound too! I got to 13 tasks in the Unhitched Isles level. |
| Oct 4 19:02:23 | 20m 16s | Ziggy Bungus: Pizza Delivery Simulator | ♥ 1 | Bruh those sound effects 💀 This game isn't just a meme though, the controls and gameplay are brilliant. As soon as the delivery guy came barging in I felt as if him and I were one, on a mission. I'm impressed at how many levels there are too, and including the time it takes to collect all the pizza, you can easily spend hours on this without getting bored. This is a winner! |
| Oct 4 19:13:20 | 10m 57s | Leave Me Alone | ♥ 1 | Fun gameplay! Cute frog! Good graphics! Nice sound design! Leaderboard is a great touch! Maybe too easy? I managed to get very far without even seeing the black hole and only died when I got bored. Idk maybe I'm just that good at vidya games B) |
| Oct 4 19:39:30 | 26m 10s | Breakoban | ♥ 1 | That was super satisfying! I usually suck at sokoban puzzles but this time I finished all levels! They're all really well designed and the last one made me feel like a genius when I figured it out! The graphics are super cute, controls are snappy and sounds are all very fitting. Congrats! |
| Oct 4 20:01:18 | 21m 48s | Instability | ♥ 5 | Very pretty aesthetic and satisfying movement! There's just a few small details that bother me: - I entered the anomaly in the tutorial and got soft locked :d - Wish I could use the arrow keys cuz it's more comfortable. - Restarting is slow cuz you have to wait for the button, ideally, in my opinion, you'd just restart immediately and your score would be shown in the HUD. I got 40.68 after many attempts. The physics are super fun, and the rope mechanics, while finicky, feel very nice when you get it right! |
| Oct 4 20:14:37 | 13m 19s | This platform is UNSTABLE | ♥ 1 | Nice, a 1st person platformer! Those are weirdly rare. Real fun! I like how unbalancing the platforms makes it easier to reach certain spots but also harder to stay on it. I found the music a bit irritating since it was a very short loop and didn't really seem to fit the game, but it's a fun bassline. One thing that I thought was weird is that you can stick to walls if you walk towards them while falling, even though it helped me in the last level I don't know if it was intentional. :d |
| Oct 4 20:48:47 | 34m 10s | RotaCore | ♥ 1 | Damn this is a big brain concept! Really hard too, I only got to 10 before it all fell. I really like the variety of threats, the graphics and sound are all super nice too and complement each other perfectly. The only thing I can kinda complain about is that knowing where to place stuff and whether you have enough money isn't super obvious, the sprite gets just a little more opaque. Really good job though, this could be a whole game! |
| Oct 4 20:58:03 | 9m 16s | Into the Cone Zone | ♥ 1 | Bruh I was laughing just looking at the screenshots I love this dsdsjdjs. Unfortunately it runs like ass on my potato pc, but I just appreciate the fact that this exists. Also it looks like there's no more progression so I didn't miss anything when I played. |
| Oct 4 21:21:22 | 23m 19s | .Script | ♥ 2 | Real nice! I like the mechanic, the graphics and VFX, the music and sounds, everything around the game is beautiful.. I really wish there was more to play though! Since I thought the idea was fun. |
| Oct 4 21:41:16 | 19m 54s | MANIC MELTDOWN! | ♥ 6 | This is a charming game, once you get the hang of how to fix each section, it's not hard. There's just two things that bothered me: The physics felt too slippery, which sometimes makes you slide off stairs, and also the smoke room is pretty annoying. Moving platforms mean you'll spend a lot of time there while everything else in the facility breaks. Nevermind that, the graphics and music, sfx, and ending screens make this game. |
| Oct 4 21:57:38 | 16m 22s | Gunsundheit! | ♥ 2 | Bruh what was going through your head when you thought of this kdjksd I love it!!!!! I mean, I love the bonkers concept, and the graphics, and the cute squeakies, and the music, as a game though I thought it was just too easy. Felt more like a "hold right simulator" than a game most of the time. :d |
| Oct 5 18:14:03 | 20h 16m | Genomancer | ♥ 2 | Super laggy on the Web, made the game pretty much impossible. It'd be good to have a Windows build. Thank god for the immortal player option tho, I actually had a lot of fun there! This is the most creative interpretation of the theme I played so far, discovering different attacks is very gratifying! |
| Oct 5 18:25:19 | 11m 16s | UNSTAYABLE | ♥ 2 | Nice graphics and mood! Felt uneasy the entire time, even though I beat it first try. :p Movement feels faster if walking diagonally, I don't know if it actually is though, but I kept moving diagonally the entire time. :p Would have preferred if you would walk with WASD since you need to use the mouse, but this is really good either way! |
| Oct 6 18:30:48 | 24h 05m | Mad Zomber | ♥ 0 | Fun game! Mowing down hordes of enemies is always fun. There's just a few things that bother me, like the mouse sensitivity that felt too quick, and that you don't get any feedback that you're getting hit apart from the health bar going down. Also I got out of bounds on the second level and went around the level like twice looking for the way back in. xd The idea for the ending is really neat, like a slow zoom out to reveal how the protagonist is screwed, but I think the impact got a bit lost on me since I saw all those zombies and thought "oh cool I can totally survive this" :p What I liked the most was definitely the music and the sound of hitting the zombies. The graphics were simplistic but quirky, and I like that! |
| Oct 6 18:41:52 | 11m 04s | Unstables | ♥ 3 | I think we've peaked. Like, as a species? Fr now: simple controls, easy to grasp, hard to master, great cute graphics, hilarious music, sounds, every single word of praise you can think of apply here. I'm forever grateful that this exists. Haven't given up on getting on the leaderboard yet. |
| Oct 6 19:05:48 | 23m 56s | Radioactive Guns 'n' Stuff | ♥ 2 | The music is... really bad. It actually made me unable to pay attention to the tutorial, and during the game. Really sorry to whoever made it. :( The game itself is fun, I like the different weapons and the controls are all adequate, though, once you get the mechanic, you pretty much can't lose. Just press F when the bar is high enough. One thing I would have liked is for the gun to get redder, or start pulsing when it gets close to overheating. That would give more feedback to the player that they need to switch. |
| Oct 6 19:35:25 | 29m 37s | Unstable Memories | ♥ 1 | Uh.. I have no idea what I'm doing. :L You said I'm supposed to match the energies and move the ball, but nothing I do seems to do anything. The gauges stay the same and the ball keeps spinning. I played with all the bugfixes so I think this is a matter of me not getting it.. I like the art and sounds though. |
| Oct 6 20:08:50 | 33m 25s | Civil Unrest! | ♥ 1 | Nice! I don't think I understand *exactly* what I'm doing, but it seemed to work. I just placed police on the tiles around the protesters, and, if I had any left, on the same tile. Not sure what government buildings the instructions were talking about, since I didn't see any that were different. Even though I didn't fully grasp the mechanics, I have to say the aesthetic of this is gorgeous - sound design, camera angle and all, it does a great job of feeling like a board game! |
| Oct 6 22:01:15 | 1h 52m | Bitkgrieg | ♥ 0 | Hey, this is really good for your first "game" ever. Even though it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of a AAA, there is a clear goal, simple controls, and the graph is readable and nicely styled. I didn't have any trouble figuring out when I was buying/selling, the line it draws when you buy is a pretty good guide, you just have to sell when the curve goes higher than the line. It's the only thing I know about trading. :d |
| Oct 6 22:22:54 | 21m 39s | AstroJump | ♥ 2 | So fun! Very very polished, especially for a jam game, very good graphics, sounds and animations. For how long the game expects you to play to win it though, it would be better to have more variety instead of just having to do the same thing over and over. I think I got pretty far, tried lots of times, it was addictive! |
| Oct 6 22:35:31 | 12m 37s | The Dress Rehearsal | ♥ 1 | Welp, that was a thing. :v It definitely didn't go the way I expected. The mask is a fun character and the things that happen are weirdly eerie even though this isn't a scary game. This is a game that really has no mechanics, it looked like it was establishing a mechanic via the set building scene, but then the hand mechanic never shows up again, you just have to go around a few times and then it's the end. :p That was definitely a bit confusing but your focus must have been on the game's story and stylistic appeal and aesthetic, which I really like. |
| Oct 6 23:14:41 | 39m 10s | Space Station 8 | ♥ 5 | Heyyy that's so cool! I made a level here! You play as a lil duck. It's surprisingly hard. map3.spacestation8.png I like this game! Other people have to post their own levels for it to actually be playable though. :d As a level editing tool it's simple but powerful. I love how the levels are saved as images, and that you can change the graphics! The only kinda annoying thing about this game is that you have to wait around to play the level, restart, and even game over. What's the reason for that? Anyway real fun! |
| Oct 7 11:04:40 | 11h 49m | Neon Tower | ♥ 2 | So fun! Played it on my phone and it worked great. Could only get to 250 on normal mode. :p I only wish there was a way to make the shape rotate faster, or just drop it immediately without rotating at all. Nevermind that, it's still super fun to build a tower like that! Tight physics. Good aesthetic too! |
| Oct 7 11:17:41 | 13m 01s | Å®NSTÃ…BLÄ’ | ♥ 4 | So fun! Great graphics and full of character. I love how everything has a Swedish name, and the gas canisters are iconic! At first I didn't get that you were supposed to drag the items off the menu so I screwed my first run right off the bat. xd Pretty much a perfect entry! |
| Oct 7 13:17:23 | 1h 59m | The Un's Stable | ♥ 2 | Nice! I usually haaaate turn based strategy, but this is such a fun twist that I got very much into it! I had a few problems: sometimes I would click a card, like the stop card, and it would disappear without letting me use it. Also the down arrow always appears instead of the up, so I never know when an animal is moving up. These problems aside, this was very worth playing. Got to 12 days and accidentally hexed my cows into extinction. :p |
| Oct 7 17:53:52 | 4h 36m | I. Want. Cheese. | ♥ 1 | This made me so happy!!! :ddddddddd I love it so much! The characters, their personalities, the NPCs reactions when they get screamed at, the cute graphics, the music! The game itself is simple, but everything around it increases its appeal 10000x! Of course having good levels helped too. Perfect entry all around! |
| Oct 7 18:07:43 | 13m 51s | Gummi Bridges | ♥ 0 | Doesn't seem to work on my computer.. WASD and dragging the anchor points do nothing. |
| Oct 7 18:16:51 | 9m 08s | A Hard Pill to Swallow | ♥ 1 | Lesgo!!!!!!!!!!! God so many levels!!! Great job! Very charming and funny game! I love how you even took the time to add a cutscene for getting out the guy's mouth. The physics were a bit weird at first, since it looks like you gradually lose speed while in the air and then fall really slowly, but I got used to it. |
| Oct 7 18:21:55 | 5m 04s | Cave In | ♥ 0 | Wut. :v I'm not sure what I did but I got 10. I just clicked the medium rocks and they broke, but nothing else did anything so I think 10 is the max? I'm confused |
| Oct 9 17:11:41 | 46h 49m | ....To the Ends of the World and Back | ♥ 1 | Cute lil story! The game itself makes you wait a lot, and fixing the stuff is super easy, but I get that wasn't your priority. The mood is excellent, that fan is really well utilized. xd And I'm glad there was a happy ending! I was afraid something horrible was coming when it started to fade to white. My only problem with the game is that the mouse sensitivity felt too low: I have to drag my mouse over twice just to reach the other side of the ship. |
| Oct 9 17:47:14 | 35m 33s | Buggy Bot | ♥ 2 | So cute! Impressive how much juice, graphics, and levels you managed to cram into 72 hours! I really liked the levels gimmicks and had no trouble finishing all levels, even though there were tons of them. Thank goodness for checkpoints! The music is absolutely perfect for the game, it's so chill and chirpy! The only thing I didn't like is that I felt the camera was too close, but my zoom out wasn't saved after I died, so I had to either zoom out every time or just accept it. Nevertheless, this has been one of my favorites! |
| Oct 9 18:17:53 | 30m 39s | Shards of Me | ♥ 2 | Fricking sweet music! I love the story and mood of this, but unfortunately I had a couple issues that bothered me when playing: * The nice thoughts you can pick up and carry only worked for the blue slime, the other ones didn't get happy when I brought anything to them. The end screen made a mistake and inverted this, it showed me that I'd made all the slimes happy except for the blue: slimes.png * Camera could be a bit zoomed out, maybe the window could be made 16:9 as well. Since the player runs so fast, it'd be better to see more of what's ahead. * Physics felt too slippery. This is something people also reported in my game, it makes any mistake really punishing. * I don't like how you have to wait a little bit next to the spiky enemies for the attack to register, especially since they mostly appear in the middle of small platforms. Either you slip out of the platform and fall, or you get closer and get hit, which might make you have to restart. Ultimately I enjoyed playing, and, if these were fixed, it would be a straight 5 star all around! |
| Oct 10 18:50:27 | 24h 32m | House is not always a home | ♥ 1 | It's a nice idea, while very unpolished. I'm not the biggest fan of visual novels, especially if they go on for too long, but I kept going this time to see where the story would go. Got a bad end unfortunately and accidentally skipped over a different ending I was trying to go for so I couldn't see it. :( I think the presentation here could be loads better. I understand that writing all that dialogue takes a long time, and you did manage to make a complete and long story, but presentation is also very important in games like these. I felt like the graphics could have been better planned out: the character stills have cutout white outlines, really noticeable in dark backgrounds, some backgrounds don't cover the whole screen, and their art style could be better. The characters are well drawn, but the backgrounds are all scribbly. I get this was probably a stylistic choice, considering how the protagonist views the world, but that could also have been conveyed with a less messy style. The music is actually really good, I assume you made it yourself so props! Only, one of the songs is really loud and clipped. It was probably a stylistic choice but, again, there's more ways to convey a feeling of dread than just making it messy, especially if it involves making a perfectly good song unpleasant to listen too. Finally, I felt like the dialogue was a bit hastily written. It makes sense to do that, since there's not much time and a lot to write, but I think even running the script through a spellcheck would make a big difference. If you're not a native English speaker (I'm just assuming here, sorry if I'm wrong), writing a story is definitely a good way to practice. The story itself is interesting and made me want to keep going, although some scenes felt too long. Ultimately I think these stylistic problems could have been solved by better planning. You don't need to be amazing at everything to make a game that feels good, you just need to play to your strengths. And doing more game jams is how you learn to do all that! So yeah, I hope to see you next jam! Sorry for writing so much. :I |
| Oct 10 19:04:56 | 14m 29s | The Emotionally Unstable God | ♥ 1 | Super fun grappling hook mechanic!! I liked the idea for the god character but they didn't talk much. Pretty challenging, graphics were ok, not much to say. xd I liked it. |
| Oct 10 19:38:38 | 33m 42s | LCD DREAM ESCALATOR | ♥ 2 | I'm here because of the post about the soundtrack. I listened to the ending song on Bandcamp and was like DAMMMMMNNNN I GOTTA PLAY THIS. So hi! This was creative and bizarre, I really like that! There were some quirks that kinda bothered me though: * Mouse sensitivity is too low, I have to do 4 full swipes with my elbow to do a full turn. The maze room is a nightmare because of that. * I accidentally pressed Ctrl-W twice while playing and lost all my progress, so a desktop build would be nice. * That manual scan is cute but no help honestly lol. If I wanted to spend hours on this I could probably find where every single hidden room is, but repeating the same stuff over and over got tiring, especially with that mouse sensitivity thing. xd Never got to hear my jam in the game unfortunately. :( I got a few paths then gave up. Visuals, mood and music are the best part definitely. |
