Very deep and challenging game. The story is quite interesting, but I think like it needed a bit more polishing. I liked it though, but nothing fancy. The gameplay is repetetive, which is probably a biggest flaw. Had fun playing it though, so I'm fine with that.

Really nice art, all creatures were very charming. The penguin animation is simple but effective.
The music was distracting to me, I would suggest adding ambient sounds. I think it would fit the mood better.
Great game! The story is very innovative, although I do wish the game was a bit more fast paced and the music was different. Otherwise, Awesome game! :)

Fun little game. The beginning was really slow but after that it was frenetic! Kept me on my toes. The graphics are programmer art, which I understand cus of the time. The music though was... bad. I don't want to be mean but random notes on a piano don't serve to set any kind of mood, I'd prefer just ambient noise. Overall it was fun and challenging.

I loved the music! Fun little abstract piece. Tutorial part was well made; info came with right speed and there was this sort of rhythm where the text told me what to do at the right pace. I feel like the game had this weird balance between serious and humor. The story was quite dark but the actual game felt more lighthearted. Nice simple game and it made me smile :)

Graphics are basic but effective and humorous :laughing: I would add some sound effects as other people have suggested.
Nice game! I'd say I'm not a huge fan of the music and some of the graphics, though. I think adding some effects like bubbles would help a lot to get the feeling of actually going deeper. But for compo it's already pretty cool! :D

Hey matey, thanks for submitting your game to the stream, I had a lot of fun playing it! I hope the feedback was helpful. Here's the vod if ya wanna rewatch;

The colours on the menu/win screen are too saturated. The penguin animation is nice, the deepening darkness is good. A little more variety in ocean life would be good. There's a lot of scary stuff down there.

Cool little game, i could see something like this on the phone, the only issue i have with it is that the camera is a bit too rigid and the player is kinda hard to manouver other than that it was a nice game.
i see this is a good game maybe better graphics would have made it better
Cool game. It was really frustrating when I died and had to swim all the way back down. It took a lot of time because the camera moves very slowly at the beginning. Checkpoints could have fixed this. Other than that, the game was pretty fun.

Nice game. Life points or levels would be great so that one does not need to start at the beginning each time.
Cute game! Checkpoints would be nice. Great work!

what a truly moving story. brought a tear to my eye :cry:
But really, not too bad! I really liked how you introduced mechanics: even if the tutorials themselves were just textboxes, having a reason to use the said mechanic (like swiming faster when you're almost off the screen) makes it stick a bit better. I liked that.
One of my only gripes was the music. It got.. kinda annoying. The fading in and out piano kind of killed the mood. Something to consider is to maybe either go with something silly (fitting the mood of your truly heartwrenching story there) or something just ambient (like underwatery/swimming sounds).
