The platforming felt pretty jank, but man this game has a unique kind of charm. I like it! You fit quite a few mechanics in there.
I played all the way through. I don't know if it was intended to be but it felt very surreal (which is something I enjoy). I enjoyed the humor in the game as well and the different mechanics on each level. The sound loop was a bit annoying but the levels were short enough to where it wasn't a big deal. Maybe try adding on to the length of some of the songs and I think that would fix it up.
To be honest I didn't went very far cause my computer was unhappy. The music and the mood was really nice and enjoyable though :)
The characters are extremely cute! It feels a bit floaty for a platformer at first, but I got used to it. Bean guy plushie drop when?
Loved the characters and the game was pretty enjoyable!
The character design is pretty great. I love how goofy it looks on the title screen! The dialogue was pretty funny, and I love the bit about the skeleton key obviously not working on a car. Great job!
Love the character design, was super charming and pretty decently fun
Here's some notes I took while playing: - Music is cute - Graphics are all over the place in some areas - Fun walljumping - Jumping on enemies' heads is always fun - Ok weird how I discovered the wall jumping mechanic accidentally and it was never used :p
So, I don't know how true that is, but the feeling I got while playing is that you got some assets from the Unity Asset Store and decided to make a game with them, which is fine, I thought it was pretty fun, but it does make the game feel disjointed. Things like the unused wall jumping mechanic, an A button appearing in the dialogue boxes, which you had to explain corresponded to the Spacebar in the controls screen, and the different particle effects and art that every enemy/collectible has. To be clear, I don't think there is anything wrong with using pre-made assets in a jam, I just think you should work a little more on making them all fit together into a cohesive game.
