This is some really impressive work for a jam. Didn't get to try it pre-patch, but the mechanics and numbers feel solid, the art is pleasing and the music and sound effects are great.

Such a good game! Everything is good, but the game design is just incredible.
It felt quite enjoyable to play, especially as someone who does love some inventory tetris. A couple things though: I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do on the second mission, so I just tried to get a 100% full inventory while staying under 15kg. Nothing happened, but it was fun to figure out. Finally, even just a few sound effects would a long way here, especially for the inventory. Good work!
Wasn't familiar with the previous games, but this one was a lot of fun! Everything works well together and it's a nice, really fun game to play through. Only downside is I may now have tendonitis in my index finger after beating it, don't regret it though lol
Loved the idea for this game! The art and sound design are great, and I liked how much the boxes piled up as the game went on, it really sold the idea of being rushed (or maybe I'm just bad). I also liked the skill ceiling of the game, using momentum to carefully aim the boxes vs just walking with them.
So satisfying to play! Maybe some numbers could be tweaked in order to make it more interesting (it's very hard to spend more stone than you produce), but that's nitpicking, as it does a great job at being a comfy colony simulator. Also, faster access to the building buttons could be nice, or at least being able to place multiple of the same building without having to select it again (again though, that's kinda nitpicking caused by the endgame I went for). I thought of going for aesthetics, but ended up with the goal of reaching the highest sustainable population that I could. Fantastic job! Captura de Tela (28).png
This game might be a little addictive. Had to stop myself cause I know I could have easily spent another hour or so looking for stronger loot. Pretty happy with the runic blade and mythral helmet, and also happy that there was still an enemmy that could be dangerous at that point. Awesome game!
Loved the game! I've only tried the single player mode so far, but I'll see if I can get some friends to try out coop. Good job!
@brandann @spike-studio We are working on a few balance changes and we'll also be adding a tutorial either in-game or here/itch soon as well. We understand it's been the greatest issue with the game so far, and we appreciate the encouraging words!
This was really fun! Difficulty felt spot on for me (think I shot myself on the foot by skipping some fights, as I just saw they boost your stats? My best ended up being level 20). The visuals and sounds are spot on and it just feels very well polished.
This is a brilliant idea! As some people pointed out, touching the walls to rotate objects does feel awkward to use. Personally, I'd say tying it to a button press would work really well. Other than that, the game is great and really fun to play.
Loved this entry so much! The gameplay is quite easy, but I don't think that really detracts from the experience (might even be for the better). The dialogue is funny, the art is beautiful and adorable and the characters are great. Great work!
This was so fun! The art, music, quests and dialogue all make for a really cohesive experience, and the puzzles were also well thought out and required a fair amount of thinking to solve. Sometimes I felt a little unsure about the instructions given on the first quest attempt (like "would this item count for that?"), but I don't think that's really an issue (especially since you get more hints after failing. Loved the game!
Nice idea and I love the art so much. However, I think it could really use some more feedback for the player and general game juiciness (especially in terms of sound effects for firing, hitting and getting hit). I also didn't see any indication of how low my health was, despite the hearts up top. It was also a bit hard to tell what the door was on the mushroom room.
The art and the soundtrack work really, really well. Unfortunately, I didn't make it very far into the game at all because of quite a few bugs (mostly getting stuck either from falling or from moving objects in one way or another).
This game is really well polished and fun! The art is adorable, the audio is great and everything just feels satisfying to interact with. My only problem was when I accidentaly mixed the ingredients for two different juices. I couldn't throw it out, so I just served it anyway. It didn't cause any major issues, but it was the only weird moment for me. Loved the game!
Great take on a classic! Plays very smoothly and it's quite fun (especially seeing yours and other's highscores).
Incredibly impressive game, especially for a compo entry. There's really not much else to be said, the game is super fun and super replayable!
I like the idea, but it feels a little rough still. Toggle incantation and Toggle movement made the experience a lot better. I was (and still kinda am) confused about some of the elements, like the two colors of the circle inside the shapes. It also took me some time to understand that it was less about getting lines that cleanly formed the shape than it is about covering the lines completely. I played it a bit and it was interesting, but it crashed after finishing level 1.
@lcstark Yeah, it was the HTML version, and it did just freeze.
Very fun and very addictive. Especially impressed with the balance, the numbers feel really good (except for the Troll, which always felt like it would be terrible cost-wise). The art and sounds/music are also on point!
It took me a little bit of time to understand what I was supposed to do, but it went quite smoothly after that. The game is really fun and I would love to play more of it if you ever expand on it, both in terms of mechanics and balancing. Specifically, I think the game is way too easy right now. Once you estabilish an earth toad, you're basically invincible, just get a water toad or two and spam fire toads while moving forward and setting more earth toads as you go. Still, it's a great entry!
@loki-drams Thank you for the thorough feedback! We're aware of most of the bugs you mentioned and we're looking into them. As for the potion variety, you're right. We had the idea for a system of demand for potions that would have the prices and selling rates of each type of potion vary, unfortunately we weren't able to implement it in time.
Very, very fun and polished game; the fact it allows for 2 players is fantastic. My only complaint is the lack of a way to end a match early other than closing the game, but that's very minimal.
Incredibly polished game all-around with an interesting twist for an old mechanic. Really impressive entry!
Really cool use of the theme. Some more feedback with visual/sound effects would have been nice, as well as some form of texture (even if really simple) on the floor, so we could understand the movement better.
Simple, but fun. Got to wave 15 before I decided to move on. Sound design and difficulty were both very good, and the casting is quite smooth. The art, specifically the ground, could have been better though.
Saw the post about playing with a drawing tablet and knew I had to try it. Definitely one of the most fun games I've played this jam. It's simple enough and has a good learning curve, and everything (at least in the post-jam version which is what I played) was so nice and smooth, it felt really good to play.
@markais drawing tablet! It worked really well.
Well polished and fun to play, the art, animations and sound effects all make the game really juicy. I do agree with the others that the timing might be a bit punishing (especially the first beat felt difficult, the others were usually fine), maybe it's something with the transition between the "observe" and "go" stages, or maybe I just suck at rhythm games. I do think some more visual feedback (on the hand maybe?) to indicate it's going to raise the finger would be nice (gives it more anticipation, like how you can see the notes moving toward you in many rhythm games). Other than that, I think the sound effect from the arrows lighting up could use some fade-out, it feels like it ends quite suddenly, even if it's short. Still, great entry!
Simple, very fun, very polished and the art is gorgeous and so charming. At first I thought this was a regular full release on itch (I found it through recommended games there, and not through the ludum dare page). My only complaint was that I couldn't pay as much attention to the animations and chat because I had to look at the game. Would love to see this expanded upon, with perhaps a leaderboard and other mechanics.
