I absolutely loved the comic book style opening and the art/animation once in game. Very pretty. The base idea is good, but I think the player needs a bit more feedback when damage is being dealt or taken. It's not always immediately clear. Also, requiring you to be moving in the direction you want to attack is rather difficult since the attack button is next to the WASD keys. My suggestion would be to move the key elsewhere or to not make you hold the direction when attacking.
Overall a fun and pretty game. Good job!
Fun little game, the comic book intro is a nice touch.
Like @jzucc12 said the controls need a bit of work, having WASD for movement and E for attack (things you want to be doing at the same time) is awkward, I found myself playing with one hand on WASD and the other on E. Moving attacks to the mouse would probably be better. Also felt I needed to push into enemies with the movement keys for my attacks to register?
Would also be nice to see an end screen showing how many waves you survived rather than dumping you back to the main menu.
Regardless, good job!
Very enjoyable game. Some more punch to the attacks would go a long way. The secondary attack was cool, holding it down to spin, I wish there was more reason to set up multiple kills like that. Having the portrait animation overlay was an interesting touch, though the sprite animations could have a bit more weight. Awesome narrative with the comic book intro, great entry.

Nice comic-style intro but there should be a way to skip it after the first playthrough. Sometimes it feels like I'm swinging and they're hitting me, but I'm not hitting them. I think it could use a little more feedback for when the hits are connecting or not, especially with the boss fight at the end of level 5. But great job creating a distinctive, atmospheric experience!
A very interesting experience with some really cool-looking artwork. The 2nd attack's animation looks very cool and for some reason reminds me of Homestuck.
The Attacks really could use some more feedback and on my first attempt the controls didnt work for some reason. reloading the page fixed it.

Intro was cool, but I don't want to see it before every single game. The new enemy on wave 5 was pretty cool, it could maybe be introduced earlier to hook the player.

Very beautiful intro and animation. There is a little graphic dissonance with the pixel art characters (which are also very well done, especially the boss) while the background is not.
I think some feedbacks (screen shake and 2D FX) would be welcome to polish it up !
Otherwise well done nice entry !

I liked the healing mechanic, slowly regaining health as you killed enemies. I would like to see the difficulty build up a little quicker or introduction of other enemies faster as repeating the same effectively level over-and-over again was a little tiresome. There was on occasion where the enemies spawned right next to me, a little exclusion zone around the player would help prevent that. Nice little entry though!

Wow, awesome intro! I love the art style and the special attack effect. I also love the surprise with big dude. Nice music too. I think basic opponents are too easy, maybe if there was a version with bows mixed in. And basic attack does not feel too satisfying to use, especially in comparison to special attack. Anyway, great job with the game!
