| Apr 20 23:53:21 | The Lighthouse | ♥ 1 | Point and Click is fun. "Unfortunately," I didn't get a game over on my first try and had to play again to achieve it! :D I really liked your color palette. Congratulations! | |
| Apr 20 23:56:28 | 3m 07s | Mayday - Keep the signal alive | ♥ 1 | A very simple game. I liked the idea of mini-games in the middle of the search and the pixel art sea animation. I thought it was bad that you didn't put the controls on the page, but seeing them appear in the middle of the game made me realize it was a much better choice. Congratulations! |
| Apr 20 23:59:27 | 2m 59s | Winter Resort | ♥ 3 | Beautiful and delicate art. I like the idea of mixing 2D and 3D. I found it funny to find a priest at the top of the mountain. I wanted to see him come down in his skis and cassock! :D I missed the music... Congratulations! |
| Apr 21 00:43:19 | 43m 52s | SIFT.exe | ♥ 2 | What beautiful artwork! Very faithful to the Game Boy Color. I thought it was really cool that you made the various signal types available. Some I didn't know. Thank you very much! "What's important is to have without being possessed by what you have." robo.png Congratulations! |
| Apr 21 01:42:50 | 59m 31s | Danseleken | ♥ 0 | I loved the pen art. So delicate and meticulous in its simplicity. Dancing and jumping through the forest! Should I have shown up at the party? Because I did, and I rocked it!!! :D Congratulations! |
| Apr 21 02:02:13 | 19m 23s | Pulse-8 | ♥ 1 | Thank you for the experience. I'm passionate about Pico8 games. The game is very beautiful and polished. I had a lot of fun! Congratulations! robo.png |
| Apr 21 02:24:22 | 22m 09s | Meerkat Maniac | ♥ 1 | Congratulations on the game! The strong points, for me, are the audio (I loved the soundtrack) and the art. I really like pixel art and it's truly well done! I'm not very good at this type of game, but I managed to let only one fox get past me once. :) |
| Apr 21 02:34:14 | 9m 52s | Blipp | ♥ 1 | I loved it! The art caught my attention from the very beginning of its development. The music is also very good to listen to. You can close your eyes and just feel the vibe. The game is very good! Congratulations! |
| Apr 21 02:43:17 | 9m 03s | PING | ♥ 1 | What a cool game! Great work done in such a short time! Your art already enchants me, and now I see you're also amazing at audio! Congratulations! |
| Apr 22 02:16:48 | 23h 33m | Signimal | ♥ 1 | Sem título.png Simple, creative, beautiful and polished. A short game, but very well-made for a game jam. It deserves more stages. I'm eagerly awaiting them. Congratulations! |
| Apr 22 02:33:41 | 16m 53s | Beam of the Fallen | ♥ 2 | At first I didn't understand what I was supposed to do, but I persisted. It was worth it because the game became quite interesting. I'm not very good, but I confess I liked it more than I thought I would. Congratulations on the very original idea. |
| Apr 22 03:15:00 | 41m 19s | While You Were Here | ♥ 1 | I thought the game was very beautiful! Is it easy? Yes. Is it short? Yes. Would I like more stages? Yes. But I agree with whoever said it's very cool and a great entry point for a game jam. Congratulations! |
| Apr 23 00:04:10 | 20h 49m | Effigy of the Sky Lords | ♥ 2 | It really has the same vibe as my game: talking to a bunch of NPCs and discovering little secrets. I really like this idea of mixing 2D with 3D. And it was well executed. The story is quite funny. I confess I found it funny that a fish fell into a hole in the sea and died. :) Congratulations! fimbom.png |
| Apr 23 00:26:43 | 22m 33s | dearest friend | ♥ 1 | I thought the art was beautiful! And the voice actress deserves praise! Beautiful voice. The last puzzle was difficult, but I managed to finish it. What does "Star" 26 mean? (my ending) Congratulations! |
| Apr 23 10:56:52 | 10h 30m | Signal's Shift | ♥ 2 | That's really cool! At first I was like a mule trying to adjust the waves just by looking at the result. I hadn't realized that you only had to adjust the two at the bottom separately. :) The art is beautiful and the gameplay is good. NOTE: Notice that the character still moves when standing still on the platforms. Maybe that shouldn't happen? To make it even better, the music loop could be a little longer. ;) Congratulations! |
| Apr 23 11:21:13 | 24m 21s | Tiny Signal Lost | ♥ 2 | I LOVE IT!!! So far, one of my favorite games on this LD. It mixes platforming with puzzles, beautiful art, cool music, and a touch of rage! I just didn't like the controls. Even though they work, I think putting the jump on W and the spacebar symbol is very counterintuitive. I died many times "jumping" with the spacebar. Maybe it's just in my head? Yes... probably. But I would change it. Congratulations team. Sem título.png |
| Apr 23 23:07:45 | 11h 46m | Radio Galaxy | ♥ 1 | You know I love games that use audio as a mechanic, right? I had a little trouble figuring out whether I should follow the sounds of the planets or the signs. In the end, everything worked out! Congratulations, friend! |
| Apr 24 00:55:07 | 1h 47m | Almost Empty | ♥ 0 | The part I enjoyed most was exploring the little planets. I imagined a bunch of NPCs asking for things and various side quests. :) And let me tell you: I'm a terrible pilot... :( Very beautiful and comfortable game. Congratulations! |
| Apr 24 01:06:11 | 11m 04s | Tooth Fairy | ♥ 2 | It caught my attention until I got on the bus back home. After that, it got weird. But the original idea is really good and the game was well executed. The worst part was eating eggs for breakfast. I HATE EGGS! Congratulations! |
| Apr 24 01:25:33 | 19m 22s | Caws & Effect | ♥ 0 | I managed to finish all the levels but I couldn't find the code to put at the end. What did I do wrong? It took me a while to understand that the laser activates the fan that pushes the ball. After I figured it out, it was easy. Beautiful art. Congratulations!! Sem título.png |
| Apr 24 14:51:39 | 13h 26m | Extremely Loud Frog Toy | ♥ 1 | I loved the original idea. Good thing the frog is a toy! If I study a little, do you think I could write a piece of music for four voices? :D Congratulations! |
| Apr 25 15:06:53 | 24h 15m | Signal Keeper | ♥ 1 | Very nice. I really liked the setting (although I missed some music). I thought the tasks were fun, even though they were simple. For future projects, perhaps some activities while waiting for signals: sweeping, cleaning, fetching... That would be nice and would keep the player occupied. Congratulations! |
| Apr 25 15:46:07 | 39m 14s | Jim's Quest for Birthday present | ♥ 2 | Прекрасная игра! Sem título.png |
| Apr 26 04:38:35 | 12h 52m | TellyBuddy | ♥ 3 | Seeing Coleslawski as an actor was priceless! I'm still laughing! His imitation of Max Headroom deserves an Oscar! And I'd love to know how much it would cost for you to show up at my house dressed as a puppy! :D I wish I could be inside the head of whoever wrote the script for this game! Speaking of the game, well... no comment. One of the most original in this Game Jam... Keyboard Cowboys killing it! Hugs from John, from SkinWow! |
| Apr 26 15:31:53 | 10h 53m | Ziggy Zapper and the Robot Factory | ♥ 1 | It's definitely in my Top 3 LD59 (I don't know the exact position because I haven't finished playing my entire list yet) and I fell in love with it. Everything I love in one game: Top-down, puzzle, pixel art, chiptune.... (just look at my LD game) Totally in love. If you, the artist, followed the NES pixel art rules strictly, I would say it's an original game. I felt like a kid again. Thank you so much for giving me that feeling again. Congratulations! Excellent game! Sem título.png Note: I think I found a bug. I had 12 pieces and the door didn't open for me. Sem título 2.png |
| Apr 27 00:56:10 | 9h 24m | 灯台の見守り — Lighthouse's Vigil | ♥ 2 | Very cute. Quite similar to old Game Boy games. I didn't notice any apparent bugs. The music is calm and very suitable for the game's style, and the graphics are simple and clear. I just didn't think it was fair when the circles blocking the light appear in front of the lighthouse. There's nothing you can do because the light doesn't go anywhere. Does it appear in random places? Congratulations to the team. Sem título.png |
| Apr 27 02:28:08 | 1h 31m | Below the Light | ♥ 5 | I love escape/point-and-click games. Even though it's a short game, it gave me some trouble. I confess that after an hour trying to solve the whale puzzle (I knew there was something there) I had to look at the walkthrough. Should I feel ashamed? Congratulations on the game. The puzzles were very well thought out and the setting is very good. |
| Apr 27 02:53:59 | 25m 51s | Hive and Honey Horticulture | ♥ 2 | How cute! It really turned out to be a very well-made game. I can't even imagine the work that went into it. Unlike many games in this style, the rewards are generous, and we can level up and upgrade quickly. This helps with the feeling that we're doing well. And really, the art is improving a lot! Congratulations to the team! |
| Apr 27 03:26:34 | 32m 35s | CyberSignal | ♥ 1 | Opa!
| Apr 27 11:24:25 | 7m 04s | Legend Of The Wild West | ♥ 0 | Equipe brasileira?! Aí sim! Eu adoro ver brasileiros por aqui! Vou testar o seu jogo sim. Meus filhos adoram jogos de tabuleiro. Abraço. |
| Apr 27 11:34:15 | 9m 50s | Obey the Signal? | ♥ 0 | Hello! I'd like to congratulate you on the game. Even though it's simple, it has great potential. Just the courage to make a game on your own is something admirable. Even more so in such a short time. I clearly understand the type of game you envisioned and I can imagine something much bigger. You'll succeed! Keep going strong. Parabéns! (congratulations in brazilian-portuguese) Sem título.png |
| Apr 27 11:51:46 | 17m 31s | Detect Metal | ♥ 1 | I thought it was cool! At first, the Atari aesthetic caught my attention (a motionless character and a screen somewhat empty of elements). The "blessed" flies disturbed my peace. I was unsure if the spawns are finite or not, because sometimes they wouldn't appear anymore and I'd just be dodging the flies, and other times all the items would start spawning desperately all over the screen, turning me into "The Flash". Anyway, I tried my best. Sometimes items spawn inside the walls. I imagine that shouldn't happen. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| Apr 27 16:42:55 | 4h 51m | Horde dare you! | ♥ 0 | Wow! Even with its very simple mechanics (just clicking), it's a really difficult game (for those who, like me, try to save everyone). I confess I tried several times but couldn't get it perfect. What a shame... The level design is good and challenging. This idea has a lot of potential to be explored further. Congratulations!! Sem título.png |
| Apr 27 17:13:40 | 30m 45s | Sacred Bleorgan Artifacts | ♥ 1 | Damn humans!!! They're just a nuisance... I love Pico8 games. I really enjoyed this one. I loved the sound cues to identify where the artifacts were. Truly a masterstroke. The story is very funny and you used time (the teleportation circle) in a very creative way. You did a great job. And once again: Damn humans! Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| Apr 27 19:23:23 | 2h 09m | Marshaller of Inalpla | ♥ 1 | I found this game very interesting! But not easy at all. I can't say if the poses are complicated enough on their own or if the choice of buttons for the controls wasn't ideal (I found them too close together and I kept pressing the wrong buttons, pressing the one next to it). The art is very beautiful, with light strokes and watercolor. The aircraft are also very creative (I loved landing a flying teacup). Another question I kept having was whether the pose on the paper was the correct one to do or if it was mirrored, thinking of the character facing forward. I wasted a lot of time doing some poses and the correct one was the opposite. Do you know if these symbols have this meaning in real life? Congratulations on the excellent work. |
| Apr 27 23:03:03 | 3h 39m | Last Known Position | ♥ 1 | Sem título.png I thought the idea was really cool and I had a lot of fun in the short time I played. I was expecting a longer game, but I imagine the short time for its creation hampered your plans. Even though it's short, it's very polished. I didn't find any bugs. I loved the traffic light mechanic. How the light is blocked by obstacles. You did a great job. Congratulations! |
| Apr 27 23:37:14 | 34m 11s | Aurora 4: Prelude | ♥ 1 | A typical spaceship game from the early days of the internet. It was a trip down memory lane. One-hit kills are a common mechanic in this type of game (along with items that prevent it, such as shields, bodyguard ships, or any other item with that purpose), and that didn't bother me, but starting the game from the beginning is a real bummer. Over time, the desire to continue diminishes. I'm terrible at this type of game, so I couldn't get very far. The gameplay is smooth and very polished, and the graphics are very beautiful. The music kept me engaged the whole time; it's great music for this style of game. Congratulations! |
| Apr 28 11:01:25 | 11h 24m | Small Among Storms | ♥ 3 | These graphics are beautiful! You chose your color palette very well. They are strong and striking. And your design is also very beautiful. I love platform games, so I had a lot of fun with your game, even though it's short. I had some setbacks with the hitbox, just because I'm not used to it. I have nothing to complain about. In platform games, I always try to identify the type of jumping mechanic before playing: whether I jump first and then aim, or vice versa. Because if I start playing before figuring it out, I'll be in trouble. In a future game, try putting some obstacle right at the beginning of the game so that the player gets used to the fluidity of their character's jump. Congratulations, squirrel! |
| Apr 28 11:17:39 | 16m 14s | The Last Transmition | ♥ 1 | Cool idea. It's a little difficult to understand which wave comes first when there's more than one. I couldn't get past stage 8. Congratulations. |
| Apr 28 11:26:48 | 9m 09s | PING! ATTACK! RUN! | ♥ 1 | I love Pico8 games and you did an excellent job. I'm a programming novice and I was wondering how you made the sonar code work. I liked the game but I found one thing unfair: sometimes the available aiming reticle doesn't allow us to hit the target (especially the boss) and he's stuck in a blind spot shooting. :( I don't know if Pico8's limitations allow this to be fixed. Otherwise, a good game. Congratulations! |
| Apr 28 20:32:25 | 9h 05m | Treasures Below | ♥ 0 | I really liked the scan design. I found it very interesting how, at first glance, the white dots seem to be on a flat wall, but when you walk around them, they are actually proportional in size to the distance you are from them. Brilliant. I have a problem with 3D games. It's called motion sickness. I get dizzy and nauseous, but I managed to play a bit of your game. Congratulations on the excellent work. |
| Apr 28 23:17:33 | 2h 45m | Badcaster Shneebly | ♥ 1 | The game's concept is great! It uses the theme in an original and fun way. The graphics are very well done and colorful. I imagine that if they had more time they would have balanced things a little better. Everything having the same saturation made it a little difficult to understand what was happening at times. The music and SFX are very good. You can even just stand still listening to the music. I couldn't get past the purple monster level. I tried everything: only red, only blue, only purple, and nothing. I even tried orange to see if I hadn't misunderstood, but nothing. The happiness meter didn't move. I tried for about 10 minutes and gave up. Anyway, congratulations to everyone on the team. |
| Apr 29 00:16:12 | 58m 39s | Sensible Mr. Snake Goes for a Stroll | ♥ 1 | I really enjoyed it! It gave the snake game a fresh look. I managed to solve almost all the puzzles, but I couldn't get past the beginning of the desert: I die in the desert, I die on the boxes, I die on the cacti... There's no sign of anything. I even thought the stones were telling me the shape, but no... So I gave up. I wanted to reach the end, but I've been trying for over 30 minutes now. The graphics are very beautiful and the music too! I really wanted to finish. Congratulations! |
| Apr 29 00:46:22 | 30m 10s | Zigna Down | ♥ 2 | I loved the graphics. Especially the color palette choice. Just like a Game Boy. Very good! Even though the sprites are very small, you can still find your way around. It requires a bit of eye strain, but it's okay. I found the map too big. I wandered around for a long time and couldn't find the third antenna. Also, the life respawn takes too long. The first time I played, I even reset because I thought there was a bug. In current games, especially in game jams, "coming back to life" needs to be quick. Save points would also be good. Coming back to life next to a robot that kills you is complicated. Overall, it's a good game. Congratulations! |
| Apr 29 15:05:07 | 14h 18m | D:Code | ♥ 2 | What a delightful game!!!! It's a lesson in simplicity, objectivity, fun, and originality. I don't understand why it was so poorly rated. Simple graphics, clean gameplay (even though I don't like not being able to move after jumping), clear objective, simple and totally functional music (and it fits perfectly with the simple art). One of the games I most enjoyed playing at LD59. My imagination ran wild imagining this game on a much larger scale with more difficult mazes. Congratulations to the whole team!!! Sem título.png |
| Apr 29 15:19:50 | 14m 43s | Pressing Signals | ♥ 1 | I found the idea very original. And it was very well implemented in Pico8 (I love Pico8 games). It's harder than it looks. At first it seems quite easy, but it gets complicated, even with only 2 buttons. Congratulations. It turned out great! Sem título.png |
| Apr 30 00:14:10 | 8h 54m | Dark Sigils | ♥ 1 | I liked your game. At first it was a little complicated and I had to take some notes, but after I understood "one thing" it became quite easy. The music is very good and creates a great atmosphere. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| Apr 30 00:30:27 | 16m 17s | SIGBLAST | ♥ 1 | I thought it was really cool. Your badge didn't catch my eye when I looked at the list, but something told me it was a cool game. And it was right! Your game is really cool. The 3D effects with pixel art images look great. The short music loop reminds me of old NES games. I loved the Easter Egg. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| Apr 30 01:40:56 | 1h 10m | Safe Haven | ♥ 0 | The art is very beautiful. I missed the music. That's something to think about in future games. Congratulations! |
| Apr 30 02:10:39 | 29m 43s | Turning Signal | ♥ 1 | The art is very beautiful. Even though it's simple pixel art. You chose the colors well. Your music is cheerful and has a cool timbre. What program did you use to make it? I found the gameplay very cool. The main mechanic is very interesting. The fact that the character takes a short break when you pick up an item disrupts the rhythm of the game a bit. Perhaps in a future version this will be a point to discuss. Another thing I would like to comment on is the difficulty curve. There are a lot of very easy stages and then a complicated stage appears, then 2 or 3 more easy stages and another complicated stage appears. Carefully thinking about learning curves allows players of any level to learn to face the challenge more naturally. If I were a more impatient player, I would give up on your game after the first 3 deaths (I've seen players give up after the first one due to sheer impatience). Luckily, I'm a stubborn old mule and I managed to overcome your challenge. Thank you very much and congratulations! Sem título.png |
| Apr 30 02:58:54 | 48m 15s | Long Distance | ♥ 0 | It was truly a great journey. :) Interesting idea. I confess I got angry many times, either because I scrolled in the wrong place or because the click didn't work (I don't know if it was a bug or if I was really clicking in the wrong place). But in the end, everything worked out. There's nothing like a game to train your reflexes. Great execution. Even with good sound effects, I missed music. Even if it was something silly, slow, and looping to keep my head focused. Is there a way to make it fullscreen? I couldn't find where. I even imagined this game in 3D. What despair! Congratulations! |
| Apr 30 19:29:19 | 16h 30m | Invisible | ♥ 0 | I loved your game! I don't understand why it's so poorly rated. One of the coolest games I played at LD59. The premise is great! Paying attention to the signs and learning from mistakes (and between us, the world needs that these days: learning from its own mistakes). The pixel art is very well done and your character is very likeable. The puzzles are simple and quite intuitive. Even the most difficult ones are quick to solve, which encourages you to keep going. I still don't quite understand how the candles work, but the important thing is that I reached the end... ...and accepted my fate. :) Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| Apr 30 19:56:03 | 26m 44s | SpaceBound | ♥ 1 | What an interesting idea: a spaceship JRPG. I'm not a big fan of spaceship games, but I am a fan of a good JRPG. I enjoyed your game. I was a bit cowardly avoiding the battles with pirates and robots in ties, but the important thing is that I managed to complete the mission. Simple graphics and easy gameplay. I was enjoying the "overworld" music (bass and drums), but then suddenly it disappeared. I was left hanging (pun intended!). I liked the battles even though I didn't use most of the items I got. A habit of old-timers playing JRPGs, saving items for the final stages and never using them. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| May 1 04:24:48 | 8h 28m | Milk&Blood | ♥ 2 | I dragged myself around, grabbed the key, went back downstairs, and the game froze. Three times. I still don't understand the game. |
| May 1 04:38:47 | 13m 59s | You Are His Spellbook | ♥ 0 | I loved your idea. Your game has a very original and fun premise. The art is gorgeous and the music is very well done and fits the magical atmosphere perfectly (And Cheat). The little witch giving signs looks beautiful! It's a shame I couldn't get very far. The game glitched 3 times for me. But it's a great game. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| May 1 16:17:24 | 11h 38m | Foto | ♥ 0 | I really wanted to play, but the game won't accept any photos. I tried them all. Sem título.png |
| May 1 16:29:02 | 11m 38s | Nelepallo & the treasure bell | ♥ 1 | I found your game very cool. Its fun lies in its simplicity and objectivity: No need for a bunch of commands and rules. Just listen, observe, and dig! Your art style is very beautiful. That comical air created a very fun and relaxed atmosphere. Your color palette is calm. I could spend a lot of time here hunting for treasures. The music is a spectacle in itself. It's excellent! Of the games I played at LD59, it has one of the coolest soundtracks. Congratulations! Great game. Note: Did I see something hidden?!? Sem título.png |
| May 2 15:32:08 | 23h 03m | RESCUE | ♥ 1 | I loved your game. I had seen it somewhere (maybe on my feed), but I never found it again. I'm so glad you posted it again. I was enchanted by the graphics of your game and really wanted to play it. It's so cute. I think the intention was to make something horror-themed. But it just sounded like a cute dark game. I thought the mechanic of looking at the "little lights" to know if you could pass or not was really cool. Sometimes there was nothing you could do, so, goodbye life. :) Your pixel art graphics are beautiful and polished. I don't really like animations that distort pixel art. I prefer the sprite switching, like in old video games, but that doesn't reflect in your animations. It's just a matter of taste. The music tries to create a horror atmosphere and it's well done, but as I said, your game is cute. Maybe the music broke the cuteness a bit. I also liked how the map appears. The animations of the darkness fading away look very beautiful and fluid. At first I found the way the character walks a little strange, but as soon as I encountered the first enemy I understood why. A great game that, honestly, I don't understand why it has so few reviews. Have you tried posting it for streamers to play? I'm sure you would increase your ratings considerably. It's a very good game. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| May 2 16:00:35 | 28m 27s | Sigul Signal | ♥ 0 | The first thing that caught my attention in your game was the colors. Vibrant colors! The graphics are beautiful, even though they're simple. They're meticulously crafted. The music creates an atmosphere that makes you want to keep playing and always keep going. If I had to criticize something, I'd say that not being able to change direction after jumping is a drawback. If you want to jump over an enemy, that's bad. You just jump upwards and the enemy hits you. If this feature was implemented, I couldn't activate it. I lost several times because of that. If it wasn't implemented, it's something to consider. For this type of game, escaping quickly is vital. Congratulations! |
| May 3 00:54:18 | 8h 53m | GHOST CHANNEL | ♥ 2 | I simply loved your game!!!! It's on my "Best LD59 Games" list. What a wonderful idea! The art is beautiful, the gameplay is fluid (it's a little confusing at first, but you get used to it), the story is good, the music is excellent. It's a game ready for publication on some platform. I found the mechanic of changing the music's percussion according to the color wonderful. I have to say that all the percussions are out of sync with the music (out of time), but it's just a silly adjustment. Something that can be fixed in minutes. I saved the game here because I want to finish it. I reached the final challenge twice and lost. I'll definitely go back to it! Congratulations to this team and this wonderful work! |
| May 3 01:03:50 | 9m 32s | Earworm | ♥ 2 | It was a little difficult to understand at first how to get into the games. After I figured it out, it was easy. Congratulations!Sem título.png |
| May 3 02:29:53 | 1h 26m | Wavelatro | ♥ 2 | A very simple and straight to the point game. Fun to play and addictive. It is a fun way of applying math to games, and the visuals have that nice retro-futuristic all bright neon colors. The music could have some improvements though, and it confused me that instead of getting harder, each level was easier than the last. |
| May 3 03:16:45 | 46m 52s | Oops! Too Many Signals! | ♥ 0 | I really enjoyed the game. A true exercise for memory, attention, coordination and patience. I got lost several times along the way, especially when the trains passed through the same location, but the forks were different. I dismantled paths that were already ready several times due to sheer inattention. Even though it's not a very easy game to manage, the gameplay is quite easy. There are no complicated controls, and this allows the player to focus on what's most important: building the path. The art is simple and objective, and it matches the spirit of the game well (simplicity). One thing I missed was the sound. Even simple effects (like train noise or feedback from actions) would make the experience much more vivid. Another thing that could be greatly improved would be the presence of levels, starting with one train and gradually increasing. This would help the player learn gradually and increase engagement. How did you think about balancing the game? I'll leave this game saved here on my computer to practice more later. I refuse to believe I only managed to get 3 trains to the right place. Congratulations on making a game all by yourself. That's admirable. |
| May 3 03:40:14 | 23m 29s | BHCS Broken Head Catches Signals | ♥ 1 | I liked your game. It's a simple game and it's very polished. Some mechanics weren't clear in their usefulness, such as the radio mechanic (I switched from the shield to the sword and then to the glasses and didn't notice any change), the blue circle (which appeared at a certain point and nothing happens) and the TV (which I don't know what it's for). I got to room 17. Did I go far? The gameplay is quite easy (jumps and shots) but the choice to use K, Q and E (which are so far away) is not the best option. It hindered me quite a bit at times. The K is in the middle of the keyboard and I missed it several times. Your art style is fluid and the character animation is great (it's the highlight of the game in my opinion). Him throwing himself on the ground is hilarious! The music is good, but from what it seems, it's from a free library. Something created by you (or a partner) for the game makes it more personalized. Is the endless game a design decision or was it due to lack of time? Congratulations on making a game all by yourself. That's admirable. |
| May 3 15:04:16 | 11h 24m | The Archives of Trevosa | ♥ 2 | I really enjoyed the game. It captivated me in a way I didn't expect. The story of Trevosa is very well written, and the family relationships are dramatic in a way that feels like real stories. Honestly, I'm not even halfway through yet, but I've already found some important "Olaith." I'm already a "talo" and I need to take care of my 3 "oloth," so I play in my free time. I saved the game because I definitely want to finish it. At various points I felt almost like a "historian," trying to understand each word and expression like "Toloi," "Cyno," or "Tamoth." Each discovery gives a very good feeling. :) The soundtrack also helps a lot with immersion. It gets into your head and makes you travel through the story and the relationships between the characters. I was wondering if it was made by you or if it came from a library. I think some small sound effects (like paper sounds or small voices for the characters) could further enhance the immersion. Which game inspired you to create "The Archives of Trevosa"? Thank you so much for this experience. Even though it's a more "static" game, it makes the imagination soar. Congratulations! |
| May 3 20:15:10 | 5h 10m | The Last Signal | ♥ 1 | I liked the idea. It could become something bigger. It reminded me a lot of Nintendo 64 games. How did you make these graphics? In Unity itself? The game looks easier than it is. The competitors are brutal. I couldn't get very far because the competitors arrive very quickly one after the other and the 3 life points run out fast. I get confused about the sides (since hitting to the left is the right button and vice versa). Was this button choice intentional? The 3D visuals are very well done and the visual sense of depth is admirable. A soundtrack was sorely missed. The game itself is full of action and this extra touch would make it more engaging and immersive. Congratulations on the well-done work. |
| May 3 22:34:37 | 2h 19m | Journal of Poisonous Experiment | ♥ 0 | I enjoyed the game. The concept is very original and interesting. During gameplay, I was confused by some of the plants' characteristics, as some that I know aren't dangerous in real plants were in the game, and vice versa. Initially, many things didn't make sense to me, so I had to play by trial and error (and note-taking). The art is very beautiful, and that psychedelic feel is a very emblematic feature. Its saturated colors also make the atmosphere strong and striking. The music and sound effects go very well with the game and allow for concentration on choosing the characteristics. I managed to reach the end (theoretically), but I didn't get any other plants in my survival notes. Is there any way to get the other 5? Congratulations to everyone! Sem título.png |
| May 3 23:58:57 | 1h 24m | Smoke Signals | ♥ 1 | I enjoyed the game. It was very fun in its simplicity. The mechanics of controlling the cigarette are simple and very clear. No complicated commands. Just the addiction to smoking. The Gameboy color palette was very well chosen. Sometimes the controls get stuck. There were times when I pressed RMB or LMB and nothing happened. I had to press them several times. I laughed a lot when the "boss" stopped at the door and just stared with one eye. Did you imagine any more levels for the game? Different people? Different cigarettes? Different speeds? That would be funny. I managed to finish both levels. The only difference was the colors? Congratulations! |
| May 4 04:05:01 | 4h 06m | G-VAUDAN | ♥ 1 | A really simple and clever game. I enjoyed it. It reminded me of a game I had on Atari called "Missile Command". Different spaceships and the current mechanics of getting different power-ups make this a much more mature and interesting version than that one. During my playthrough, I didn't find descriptions for each power-up. I had to figure out what happened when I equipped them. Was that intentional? Its minimalist art and flat colors don't show a lack of experience with visuals, but rather a very well-made aesthetic choice. I say the same about the music. They combine very well with each other. Its dog mascot, even grumpy, is a captivating character that we always eagerly await to appear. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| May 4 18:36:12 | 14h 31m | signOS | ♥ 1 | Que delícia comentar em português!! Realmente a música faz muita falta! Principalemte do meio pra frente. É uma pena que não conseguiu terminar a tempo. Sabe se os extras também entram no ranking? Eu espero que sim, porque o seu, com certeza, terá ótimas avaliações. Parabéns meu amigo! Sem título.png |
| May 4 23:30:42 | 4h 54m | RESPECT | ♥ 1 | Just making a game on your own already deserves my admiration. Congratulations on your work. |
| May 6 01:47:36 | 26h 16m | SPACE ROAMANCING | ♥ 1 | I liked your game. Simple and straightforward: I picked up the items and found the right place. I found it quite curious that the boxes don't fall when you remove the one underneath. Was that a deliberate decision? Another thing: Why is there such a cool song on the title screen and none in the levels? Your art is simple and very beautiful. Everything is intelligible and very easy to understand what is what. The only thing I think should change is the movement on top of the rockets. Having to walk around to follow their movement is bad. It would be more intuitive if you just had to stand still and it would take you. Overall it's a great game. Easy, fast and fun. Just like a game jam should be. Thank you very much. Congratulations. | May 6 20:18:59 | 18h 31m | GAME OVER: Earth | ♥ 1 | I discovered that I'm bad at this type of game. :D hahaha! I couldn't get past day 8. I didn't know how to manage the missiles. I really liked the game. I thought it was uniquely simple. With few elements you managed to create something very polished and interesting. Even the little music for passing a level was well placed. My main goal is to create a very simple and fun game at the same time. Like yours. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| May 7 01:00:35 | 4h 41m | Lost Crab in the Great Sand Labyrinth | ♥ 1 | I loved your game. Even in its simplicity, it proved to be very challenging and fun. This aspect of building the path isn't an original idea, but I'd never seen one where the enemies walk while you're building it. I think it would be more eye-catching if it were colorful. What was the reason for choosing this color scheme? I made sure to finish it. It's on my "Coolest LD59 Games" list. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
| May 7 01:42:18 | 41m 43s | CRASHDAR | ♥ 1 | Congratulations on making a game all by yourself. That alone deserves my respect. I'm used to simple games like this since the NES. I liked yours. Especially because it has a complete story. I had some difficulty understanding the mines because they apparently changed places, but maybe that's a limitation of your engine? Retro rules! | May 7 01:58:32 | 16m 14s | lil lighthouse | ♥ 1 | I played thinking it was an endless game. Then I saw on the friend above that there is an end. I'll save the game here to try again later. A really cool idea to combine two types of gameplay: a collectible game and a survival game. It was a really great choice. I found the boat's movement strange. I know it has those skids that boats use, but it's difficult to control. Actually, it's hard to aim the boat to the place you want. In some directions, I had to keep pressing in alternating directions for it to go where I wanted. Overall, it's a really cool game. I reiterate that I saved it here to finish. Congratulations! |
| May 7 02:25:20 | 26m 48s | No Signal West | ♥ 1 | Your game kept me hooked for quite a while. The idea is cool, but those darn zombies won't let me find the signal. I'm there trying to assemble the message and a horde of undead comes at me. Do you have bigger plans for this game? It seems like a seed of something bigger. I liked how you programmed them to follow you. They really managed to be annoying. :) The music is really cool too! Congratulations to its composer. I just found the loading sound strange. It sounds like someone burping. Congratulations! |
| May 7 22:29:41 | 20h 04m | The Lighthouse | ♥ 0 | Your gameplay is simple and straightforward. The turbo boost is very helpful when the light shines directly on the ship. And the pirates' comments are hilarious. I liked it. Congratulations! |
| May 7 22:36:36 | 6m 55s | Points | ♥ 1 | I loved your game! I had a blast (even getting annoyed when the train leaving came from the station I needed to get on)! Even though it's something so simple, it captivated me a lot. I wish there were more levels. I don't really like endless challenges. The graphics are simple, which isn't a problem, but I had some difficulty understanding the paths when I glanced at them quickly. Something more visually appealing might be easier to understand. I apologize in advance for my honesty, but the music is awful. I had to mute it and open Spotify. It was good in a way because I discovered a wonderful album. Congratulations on the game. I saved it here for my children to play. It will be good for their brains. :) |
| May 7 22:53:33 | 16m 57s | Signal search | ♥ 1 | A very good idea and the implementation is excellent. A great mechanic to explore. I thought the radio upgrade was really cool. I thought I wouldn't be able to understand the pink characters. Luckily, I won't go to sleep with that question unanswered. The music is very chiptune. It reminds me of the first NES games. Congratulations! |
| May 8 00:08:37 | 1h 15m | Mining Deepa | ♥ 1 | What a cute little game. I was really unlucky because I only encountered robots. I didn't get much treasure. I loved the simplicity of the mechanics. Are the levels procedurally generated? Congratulations! |
| May 8 14:56:15 | 14h 47m | Search of the Signal | ♥ 0 | I found the art very beautiful. Even using the idea of repeating tiles to assemble the scenery, the art is so beautiful that it doesn't seem repetitive. Perhaps the game would be less tedious if there were other things to do: stay in the shade to cool off, take something somewhere, find something hidden, etc. Having music, even something simple, would help the experience. Just the sounds of footsteps in the sand make the game monotonous. Walking slowly in the sand, although it makes sense, makes the game very slow. And since the objective is far away, it takes even longer. Using the radar is very good! It was a well-developed mechanic. Did you think about using 8 directions in the search? Congratulations on the game. Sem título.png |
| May 8 15:22:03 | 25m 48s | Moumtain Pipin | ♥ 1 | I love platform games. From the easiest to the hardest. I had fun with your game. It has a few bugs: Your character doesn't jump when on a moving platform, sometimes it doesn't jump on platforms (I died a few times because I couldn't move and escape enemies), and your monster seems too polite to eat two fruits at once (see image). Keep studying. I'm sure we'll see many great games coming from you. Congratulations! Sem título.png |
