| Oct 2 23:24:28 | Renew my Subscription | ♥ 2 | @lancival - try a different browser / CTRL + 0 to reset zoom? @cassowary - astounding work as always! An excellent all rounder again, both gfx / music and a deceptively simple premise that had my coffee addled brain stumped by the third round. Bonus points for actually programming a game ð âïļ Very cool! I look forward to people posting their speed-runs ð | |
| Oct 2 23:47:19 | 22m 51s | Cobor goes farming | ♥ 2 | I feel like a caveman trying to figure this out haha, love the concept and the graphics. Wish I were smarter to give you some feedback on the gameplay, but I'll just marvel at the coolness of creating a program within a program |
| Oct 2 23:54:41 | 7m 22s | Impending Doom of a Thousand Kitties | ♥ 4 | Pretty cool, the digital miaows were impressive. The UI tool shelf vs left/right click was a bit cumbersome, although maybe was that deliberate to add challenge ð ? 0001.jpg |
| Oct 3 00:01:06 | 6m 25s | SPACEMAN | ♥ 1 | This was challenging! ð I like the old school aesthetic. I couldn't get further than 60 002.jpg |
| Oct 3 00:12:48 | 11m 42s | Snowy Snatch | ♥ 1 | I don't seem to be able to rate anything yet. ðĒ I did really enjoy playing this - does the 'track' loop? That's a lot of level building if not, very cool. Really liked the characters and the different obstacles. 003.jpg |
| Oct 3 00:46:24 | 33m 36s | Space 10 | ♥ 1 | Very cool , I was struggling to control initially as I was fighting the recoil. Really like the graphical style, and the warning of incoming asteroids etc. Really liked the vector style. Since you've committed to the post-dare version, don't forget that high score! 004.jpg |
| Oct 3 10:54:27 | 10h 08m | Reaper | ♥ 1 | Pretty cool, really liked the system of upgrading weapons at the cost of also upgrading enemies. If you continue to develop - it'd be cool for the character to do some different moves with the scythe. Just to keep it fresh, and maybe some kickback/shake for those critical hits. 005.jpg |
| Oct 3 11:00:38 | 6m 11s | Collapse | ♥ 1 | I'd mention to non-AZERTY users that cursor keys work too on Web version. I only played 'cos I wanted the challenge. ð Cool concept, if you continue after the compo, maybe adding some pathfinding or something to end the level early, when a valid path to the gate/key is no longer possible. Oh and jumping maybe, so you can jump gaps :D |
| Oct 3 20:40:47 | 9h 40m | RandoBots | ♥ 4 | Wow nice! The 'car' robot was a little challenging to steer, but great stuff, really cool concept, shifting between types, and trying to get that one last shot in before you morph away from the tower shape keeps you on the edge of your seat! |
| Oct 3 20:50:23 | 9m 36s | Discomobulate (āļ'Ė-'Ė)āļ | ♥ 3 | This was hilarious! ð Love the moves , the punches and blocks feel like they connect. ð Maybe alternative button options would be cool, like numpad or something, the challenging part was trying to quickly flip between shift / space / w / s etc. |
| Oct 4 20:50:53 | 24h 00m | Insecticide | ♥ 1 | Pretty cool - I had to restart the game to do a second round , but the concept is cool. Some kickback or other weap on to scatter the wasps would be cool - once they start bunching up you can easily get insta-death ð |
| Oct 4 21:07:31 | 16m 38s | Moo Moo Care | ♥ 1 | Reminded me of tamagotchi , but in colour, and with cows. |
| Oct 4 21:43:26 | 35m 55s | Elos | ♥ 1 | Man that was challenging. The one thing that'd make it a bit more satisfying is for the wall jumps to reflect the angle like a pool ball or something, as it felt really hard climbing inside a vertical tunnels. Something where if you time it right, you bounce off alternate walls? |
| Oct 4 21:48:38 | 5m 12s | The King Slayer | ♥ 1 | Very cool , nice to see another Construct user in the mix! âïļ One minor thing, if you're doing pixelly stuff -would be to use the 'retro' template as a basis, I.E. Point Sampling + small resolution, so all the pixels are the same size for that authentic retro feel. |
| Oct 4 22:05:26 | 16m 48s | DingDongDie | ♥ 4 | This was really cool - I couldn't get past wave 2 . Really loved the art style! ð 007.jpg |
| Oct 4 22:18:45 | 13m 19s | Glitch Quest | ♥ 1 | The music is epic. Loved the minigame too! Are the high-scores persistant ð |
| Oct 4 23:16:19 | 57m 34s | Release The Bus | ♥ 1 | This was fun ! It'd be cool to see a different view of the bus when you fail, like you have in the beauty render, to really showcase the explosions! Great particle fx there! |
| Oct 6 23:12:58 | 47h 56m | Asteroid Extractor | ♥ 1 | Pretty cool, I really wanted to tractor beam the asteroids towards me / pull rather than shoot / push, but great stuff, the sound effects and simple music were cool ð 0010.jpg |
| Oct 6 23:55:32 | 42m 34s | Impact-Effect | ♥ 1 | Wow, this was very slick! A simple concept but executed flawlessly! The only thing I'd add is sometimes when the pause happens , you'll get a missile sat on the edge of the screen and you'll miss the 'full wipe' bonus. Not sure how to solve that other than having the missiles start converging into the screen before the timer runs down, but that might get too predictable? |
| Oct 7 00:08:23 | 12m 51s | Pet the Damn Cat! | ♥ 1 | One of the most realistic WFH sims to date! Trying to nod and pet the cat was a challenge ð― Love the art, great job with the user controlled animations and all the 'work' minigames. |
| Oct 7 22:58:14 | 22h 49m | Every 10 seconds we flip | ♥ 0 | @kuviman - nice! Fun game, the concept was cool - the gaps left when you had L or T shapes set off my OCD somewhat, not being able to rotate haha. 013.jpg |
| Oct 8 00:09:52 | 1h 11m | The Forgotten Crawler | ♥ 1 | Amazing effort dude! I played until I no-clipped into oblivion in the same zone as @austin-sierra - just as I came close to the blue thing too! ð Like everyone else has said, amazing progress with the quality of your games, keep at it! âïļ |
| Oct 8 12:55:33 | 12h 45m | Returnal | ♥ 0 | This was a nice challenge - like others have said, using the reset mechanic more could be cool, a bit like Braid or other time travel style games, so some button / switch states stay , while others don't etc. Also, I struggled at first as I didn't go full-screen, and I didn't see the little blue button to maximise, so I played the first few levels with scrollbars haha |
| Oct 8 13:50:15 | 54m 42s | Line Momentum | ♥ 1 | Really cool concept, and the post about the tech was really inspirational. I struggled a bit with the game, and it might have been my hardware having a sync issue between sound / visuals . I was sure I was hitting on the correct part of song, but I lagged as pictured ð Could just be my lack of practice. fail.gif |
| Oct 8 14:53:44 | 1h 03m | Carton Carrier | ♥ 1 | The builds reminded me a little of bad piggies ( the angry birds spin off game ) , but with a mad max vibe. Really liked the character design, if you did a post-jam version with extra build time, it'd be amazing ! I may have got it wrong, but if there's a time limit AND you get random order of parts, it becomes a bit too frantic ( at least for us old people ) , maybe since we're using mouse / touch , let the player pick parts from tray ? |
| Oct 8 21:47:52 | 6h 54m | Ten Sec Dread | ♥ 1 | Very cool , really loved the sculpted art style and the music - a super polished game! I struggled a bit with spatial reasoning, trying to get the pumpkins to orbit the meat clock and blow up the others. It was also hilarious when the skeleton got blown into the void ð 14.jpg |
| Oct 9 00:17:34 | 2h 29m | Jump in the line | ♥ 1 | I liked the cube effects, I like the minimalism too. Maybe some sort of score up front though, to know if you're supposed to be hitting / disappearing cubes would be good. ð 15.jpg |
| Oct 9 00:21:23 | 3m 49s | $EasyMoney | ♥ 0 | Oh man that got tough quickly with the gravity flipping. I'd make a minor suggestion to make his jumps bigger so as to make progress easier, it meant waiting on platforms for the flip to happen to make it across the gap. |
| Oct 9 00:28:19 | 6m 56s | Compulsive Jousting | ♥ 1 | Great job, really slick work for a compo game, especially down to a nicely featured menu and some banging music! I found the jousting a little slow on the acceleration, with the later levels too, it'd be awesome if he could ricochet off things, or you get a combo bonus for doing a bunch in a row without bouncing off the walls or something? |
| Oct 9 00:36:07 | 7m 48s | Game 0 | ♥ 1 | Wow that was a journey - I liked the elements of the point and click / interaction , and the transformation of the game visually - very cool. I completed it wanting to know more. ðļ |
| Oct 10 20:31:52 | 43h 55m | My Robo Nanny | ♥ 2 | I couldn't get the interactions to work, but the graphics are great, really love the mixture of pixel art and the crayon/pastel style for the rest of the menus etc. ++Edit, I got the interaction working very cool , the windows and the mini-game thing . I think maybe 10 seconds to deal with the problem, rather than 10 second charge would be cool -as its' REALLY hard to get back to base. ðŽ |
| Oct 10 20:46:30 | 14m 38s | Tecton Inc. | ♥ 0 | Really loved the constantly shifting landscape and the jet pack - really cool. I couldn't survive past 200 points, when more than 2 of the orange lava monsters started coming to get me ðŽ |
| Oct 10 21:55:22 | 1h 08m | HURTEC | ♥ 2 | It took me back to the days of the old action rpg where you're randomly mashing every key frantically to fire off attacks. It'd be cool if the vehicle moved more like an 8 direction, and a little faster, just to have some change of dodging . |
| Oct 11 22:20:21 | 24h 24m | WindBots | ♥ 2 | This was epic, loved the puzzles, definitely think you guys should explore this beyond ludum dare, especially with more bots and puzzles ð I made it to the end - something that'd be cool is a timer or style points haha ð 16.jpg |
| Oct 13 20:47:05 | 46h 26m | Speedrun for light | ♥ 1 | Very cool, liked the old CGA colour palette, and great music! ð I couldn't make it to the end, my reflexes aren't what they once were. ðŽ |
| Oct 13 22:18:02 | 1h 30m | autoball | ♥ 2 | Damn, I thought I was doing well with going 30 rounds then holy ðŽ then I see @amarokczukay with 187 million ahhaha ð 17.jpg Nothing more to add other than keep working on this and publish as a mobile game, this super polished and a refreshing mechanic to casual game with. |
| Oct 14 22:09:12 | 23h 51m | Escape the Breach | ♥ 1 | I don't want to give the game away for anyone , so no spoilers. ð Really loved the level art, the old-school music, and the variety of hazards. The procedural generation keeps you guessing too. One small improvement would be to make up arrow a jump too, and make space restart , instead of x , as when you're dying a lot like me, it interrupts the flow having to hit x and not just mash keys frantically to restart. |
| Oct 16 19:25:50 | 45h 16m | Sleepcheckers | ♥ 1 | The concept is cool, and really love the music and art , but the bed timer became too frustrating to see through to the end , as too many time clicking by accident or too early and getting caught . Really love the art, reminds me of the old 90's point and click games like Sam & Max / Leisure Suit Larry etc on the PC . |
| Oct 17 21:05:19 | 25h 39m | Long Shot | ♥ 0 | Once I figured out the hitbox it got a lot easier, I'd suggest if you add for your other game, to maybe scale down the player and swarm sprites so you can fit more on screen, and with the 10 second charge, it'd be cool to have a super-weapon that destroys the entire screen, so it feels like a decent pay off for surviving the bullet hell while charging the weapon. ( Multiple explosions, chain lightning, force-fields, you name it. ð ) aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.png |
| Oct 17 21:23:05 | 17m 46s | You Fix Spaceships! | ♥ 1 | I did well until I got the truck full of neon-pink intestines. Loved the ship designs and general weirdness! ðŽ |
| Oct 18 19:20:14 | 21h 57m | Curse of the Wereburger | ♥ 1 | Amazing job with the character design and animations, very well executed, especially the big character portrait that transforms along with the in-game character as you metamorphose. I wasn't smart enough to get through all the puzzles haha , maybe some hints for us smooth brains would be good. The voices / noises were cool, some extra meaty slapping noises or something for when you become the giant burger would be cool too. ð |
| Oct 18 19:27:49 | 7m 35s | Polyhedron | ♥ 1 | Damn my fingers couldn't keep up haha. Great concept, like DDR for typists. Really loved the pixelly vector style of the hyper dimensional polyhedra. âïļ 18.jpg |
| Oct 18 21:42:22 | 2h 14m | Milkman | ♥ 1 | I loved running with milk. It'd be cool to get upgrades , to carry more milk, or lob the milk further. There was a sound about 2 minutes in like a biplane crash-landing and getting stuck in a sink full of wet liver - I couldn't find the source, and then it stopped. 19.jpg |
| Oct 19 20:32:44 | 22h 50m | Auto Parker | ♥ 1 | What a charming game, and an original concept, I do hope you continue to produce this past the compo/jam, as it's such a refreshing gameplay style. The sliders are super intuitive, and the puzzle element is excellent. If you're going on to model realistic akerman steering physics, then you could maybe train a whole new generation of parallel / reverse parking experts ahaha. ð For the messages, I don't know if they changed based on how accurate I was, but definitely would love , ( 1 ) more stats , and ( 2 ) a view from inside car / replay from different camera angles, since you have such cool models, the zoomed out mode feels like a waste. ð Also, again, if you continue to build, different vehicle length / steering models would be cool ( or vs mode haha ðŽ ) |
| Oct 19 20:37:32 | 4m 48s | WHERE IS THAT KITTY GOING??? | ♥ 1 | I liked the fact I could do some many costume changes without having to watch ads for loot crates, mobile gaming has ruined me. Love the art work. Some more animations for the cat doing some sweet skatboard tricks would be cool. I once made a game with a dog skatboarding in the desert but it didn't have as many fish. |
| Oct 19 20:56:20 | 18m 48s | [WebGL/HTML5] Music Demon | ♥ 2 | Great music, and a fun concept - for the conundrum how to animate eating and walking, since it's unity, I'd make the head a different object completely, and just parent to head bone, then he can do walk/run animation and eat at same time. The 'R' to reset made me quit after the 100th time of reseting instead of eating people. I'd be cooler if random people just re-appeared / fell in or something, rather than a hard reset. |
| Oct 19 21:02:10 | 5m 50s | Dreihander | ♥ 0 | That was intense haha .. Very unique style and gameplay , the buff /heal could do with more visual feedback, I wasn't sure if it was doing anything before it changed colour. Bonus points for music / sound! âïļ 22.jpg |
| Oct 19 21:13:57 | 11m 47s | 10 Seconds Ambush | ♥ 1 | Very cool, I struggled once the super-fast fruit started flying haha. Love the art style , the music and the sound fx. 21.jpg |
| Oct 21 12:36:48 | 39h 22m | The Many Short-Lived Adventures of a Box | ♥ 2 | Man that was tough, I got the first few keys then failed when it came to negotiating the alternating vertical blocks. One thing that'd make it a little easier - would be to trigger the spawn point ( you still respawn ever 10 seconds ) but have the anchor be movable, trying to traverse more than 3 screens was a challenge ð |
| Oct 21 21:13:11 | 8h 36m | Boar Breakout DX | ♥ 1 | Really loved the audio, very cool - took me back to the old 90's PC games. I couldn't get past the spikes , and I was expecting to roll back to the other pigs from the first screen instead of game over . So if you made it further the second time, you'd pass the corpses of the failed piggies. ðŽ |
