| Apr 29 03:24:00 | raveGRID | Can you make a Linux binary? There is no unity web player for Linux. | |
| Apr 29 03:31:00 | 7m 00s | Centroid | Original idea and fun for a while, but I don’t feel compeled to restart after losing at level 22! The first screen is confusing, clicking anywhere should just bring the next level IMHO. |
| Apr 29 03:34:00 | 3m 00s | Minimal Theory | If there is voice acting not done by you then it belongs in the jam I think. |
| Apr 29 03:42:00 | 8m 00s | Flowf Against the Potatoes | Funny intro! |
| Apr 29 04:03:00 | 21m 00s | Linewalker | Nice! I got lost though, started to think there was no ending, but still got back randomly and found it. |
| Apr 29 04:14:00 | 11m 00s | Shoot Guys | I couldn’t find the key to move right (d) so I just stayed there and pressed right and robots appeared and they died and I won. |
| Apr 29 04:32:00 | 18m 00s | Skeletal: A Barebones RPG | The ingame text is blinking weirdly and hard to read. Also without any instruction it’s hard to know what to do. |
| Apr 29 04:42:00 | 10m 00s | This is not a minimalist game | The beginning was nice and funny; not sure about the white part… Can it be done? |
| Apr 29 13:22:00 | 8h 40m | Rokhopr | Good idea and kinda fun but I find it impossible to go farther than a few jumps… |
| Apr 29 13:34:00 | 12m 00s | GridANT | Works in Linux just by typing “love GridAnt.love”. Interesting idea but a bit tedious and pointless since there is no goal! |
| Apr 29 13:38:00 | 4m 00s | Pix | Works with “java -jar Pix_Linux.jar”, but why use wasd and not the arrow keys? I have to change keymaps to play the game… |
| Apr 29 14:33:00 | 55m 00s | Iceberg Explorer | Does not run/build on Arch Linux 64 bit: <br/>$ ./Iceberg_Explorer_Linux.sh <br/>/tmp/iceberg/bin_unix/lamiae64.bin does not exist <br/>Lamiae will attempt to compile one by executing the following command. <br/> make -C src -f Makefile install <br/> <br/>Please make sure the SDL, SDL_image, and SDL_mixer, and zlib *Development* libraries are installed. <br/>Press Enter to proceed or Ctrl-C to abort. <br/> <br/>make: *** src: No such file or directory. Stop. <br/>compilation failed |
| Apr 29 15:17:00 | 44m 00s | Citsilaminim | Nice, original pushing blocks and "swimming" mecanism. Getting glued to the walls is a bit annoying. |
| Apr 29 15:42:00 | 25m 00s | Zmore | Nice though a bit too easy I guess (and white). The white walls looked like a bug but I see it’s the same in your screenshot :). |
| Apr 29 15:51:00 | 9m 00s | Reversnake | Nice idea. I think the 45° turns detract from the game, but maybe it’s just because I’ve only ever played 90° snake games. Also using the arrow keys instead of a and d would have been nice. |
| Apr 29 15:59:00 | 8m 00s | Pleistocene | Crashes when I die: <br/>Enemy wins by -79.29 <br/>False <br/>0 <br/>Dead <br/>Traceback (most recent call last): <br/> File "main.py", line 15, in <module> <br/> game.update() <br/> File "/tmp/tomassino_ld48/gameObj.py", line 249, in update <br/> self.updateHUD() <br/> File "/tmp/tomassino_ld48/gameObj.py", line 193, in updateHUD <br/> self.hudName = self.fontObj.render(str(self.player.name),True,glbs.colBlack) <br/>pygame.error: Text has zero width <br/> <br/>Also please let players use the arrow keys next time! Not everyone is using qwerty and having to change keymaps to try each game kinda sucks. |
| Apr 29 17:00:00 | 1h 01m | Nerdogochi | Funny. Yes it does work with openjdk7 under Linux (though I got a crash at the end.) |
| Apr 29 17:15:00 | 15m 00s | Minimalize | Works fine on Linux if you get the source, unpack it in a new directory (for example "minimalize") and run "love minimalize". (Please put all the files in a directory next time!) <br/> <br/>It’s a great idea and the animation of disappearing squares looks good! However I found the control a bit stressful, especially since once space has been pressed there is no way to rest until the end of the level (and the music is unbearable after a while.) <br/> <br/>Please allow the players to use arrow keys next time in addition to wasd (I don’t have a qwerty keyboard.) |
| Apr 29 17:51:00 | 36m 00s | BEAPE | I tried it with Wine (Linux) but there is no sound, unfortunately. |
| Apr 29 18:11:00 | 20m 00s | Chao Ab Ordo | Not bad for a 48h game. A score would help make it more interesting! |
| Apr 29 18:24:00 | 13m 00s | 5 Days On 2 Days Off | Nice even though it’s not really a game. <br/>I notice someone else did the audio, then it should be in the jam. |
| Apr 29 18:38:00 | 14m 00s | llab | Nice but having to restart from the beginning is a bit annoying! |
| Apr 29 19:05:00 | 27m 00s | Onion Harvester | Nice! The character control feels a bit sluggish and the huge white background hurts my eyes, but it’s a good game otherwise. I liked the moving platforms passage and the hard to reach onions in the first level. |
| Apr 29 19:45:00 | 40m 00s | Only a Keyboard | Unfortunately I can't play this because qwerty (I guess) is hardcoded and this is not my keymap. |
| Apr 29 19:58:00 | 13m 00s | Floating Point | I’m only getting black windows even after allowing local storage (firefox 20, linux). |
| Apr 29 20:41:00 | 43m 00s | Freedom | Very nice :). I just wish the background wasn’t white. |
| Apr 29 21:02:00 | 21m 00s | Mini danmaku | Nice, though not really my type of game. Based on the video it seems to me that the collision shape is not centered exactly on the ship. |
| Apr 29 22:42:00 | 1h 40m | BLoK | Nice music. The key repeat is not adequate for the game; the player should move faster. It’s not obvious what the bomb does (I guess it's a "smart bomb" that kills all enemies on screen). I would have prefered the arrow keys to this strange choice of keys. |
| Apr 29 23:19:00 | 37m 00s | One Chance | Nice music! The game is confusing, I didn't know what to do. Only after reading the comments did I try again and find the key and knife. But then I killed a few monsters, found another key and that's it... No idea where I should be going or what the things in the scenery are. <br/>(I played with Wine under Linux.) |
| Apr 29 23:35:00 | 16m 00s | Minimally Run n Gun | Interesting idea but the controls are annoying (can’t go in diagonal; being blocked by the red squares; shooting on them seems to have no effect) and being alone against four enemies seems unfair. And the constant firing noise... Maybe I'm just tired... Also the game was wider than my firefox window, I don't see the point since it'll all hugely pixellated anyway. The game is smooth though. |
| Apr 29 23:46:00 | 11m 00s | You are the Minimalist | Interesting but I have no idea what should be done on level 2. |
| Apr 29 23:54:00 | 8m 00s | m i n i m a l i s m | The web link points to a google login page, not a download. |
| Apr 30 00:10:00 | 16m 00s | Subtract | I don't understand this game. Why would anyone not select the entire screen to show the shape? Pressing space does nothing. There are two negative numbers in the top-left hand corner; what are they? On my second try I lost on the first level for no reason that I could see. <br/>Nice sounds though. |
| Apr 30 00:14:00 | 4m 00s | Entity | I like the minimalism of it :) It made me laugh. <br/>Perfectly smooth and playable too, apart from the unusual non-sliding on walls while jumping. |
| Apr 30 01:38:00 | 1h 24m | Game of Rows | Well done! Good graphics, fun and smart gameplay, works perfectly. Why does this game have so few ratings? <br/> <br/>I ran the "source" under Linux with python 3. |
| Apr 30 01:56:00 | 18m 00s | Raining Shards | There's a problem with the game (under Linux with openjdk7), when I start the game the cannon shoots a couple bullets but then nothing happens, clicking doesn’t shoot anything, there is nothing to do. Nice music. |
| Apr 30 02:15:00 | 19m 00s | Hyportee | Very nice, good music, but pushing the things can get a bit tedious as the movement is a bit slow. Also I got stuck inside a blob and there was no way to free myself from it. <br/>There's a problem with the mouse wheel (under Linux), rolling it makes the level *very* small really quick and there's no way to get it back. |
| Apr 30 02:41:00 | 26m 00s | People | Nice! I don't understand why people are following the player or fleeing, though. I also wished I could press shift to run by the end :). And white hurts. |
| Apr 30 04:42:00 | 2h 01m | Hiddensquares | I don't understand the game, and can't beat level 3. Otherwise nice music, and the circles effect looks cool! |
| Apr 30 05:16:00 | 34m 00s | Planets | In its current state the game is too easy / static / silent to be much fun, but at least it's working and it's rather minimal ;). <br/>It can happen that the player is smaller than all the other bodies, too. |
| Apr 30 05:38:00 | 22m 00s | stairs | Ahah, this game is funny, very original! <br/>It was a bit annoying not being able to lift one foot as long as the other was in the air, even if it makes sense. Maybe an audible signal (footstep) when it's ok to do so would help. |
| Apr 30 05:53:00 | 15m 00s | MiniMaul | Nice game! But losing on the first hit and having to restart a completely different level from the start is "a bit" harsh. I would have liked to explore the randomly generated levels a bit further... |
| Apr 30 06:21:00 | 28m 00s | Perfection Achieved | Fun and well made game, but I don't think using paintings as graphics follows the compo rules. |
| Apr 30 23:10:00 | 16h 49m | Triquacir | Good music and nice presentation/graphics, but it kinda froze my system by level 3. Apparently there’s a huge memory leak. |
| Apr 30 23:23:00 | 13m 00s | Untitled Part IIIa | Nice idea, the music is a bit repetitive and the game crashed rather quickly: <br/>Traceback (most recent call last): <br/> File "main.py", line 382, in <module> <br/> main() <br/> File "main.py", line 335, in main <br/> baddie.tick(paths, grid) <br/> File "main.py", line 165, in tick <br/> self.choose_next_grid(paths, grid) <br/> File "main.py", line 148, in choose_next_grid <br/> options = [ option for option in options if option in paths ] <br/>TypeError: argument of type 'bool' is not iterable <br/> <br/>Under Arch Linux you have to use python2. |
| Apr 30 23:25:00 | 2m 00s | Too Minimal? | Maybe it’s just a temporary thing but the download fails. "Bad gateway". |
| Apr 30 23:41:00 | 16m 00s | Simplyfy | I downloaded the Linux version but it says: <br/>$ ./Simplify <br/>Set current directory to /tmp <br/>Found path: /tmp/Simplify <br/>There is no data folder |
| May 1 00:08:00 | 27m 00s | Aduno | Very nice, good graphics and music and interesting gameplay! The game didn’t explain that I could modify the machines the first time, so I got stuck a bit on the third level or so. It would be nice to know the current level number and to be able to skip through the tutorial, and also if the levels were ordered by difficulty :). <br/>When it started to be a bit complex (4 machines) it didn't feel that fun anymore (too many possibilities). |
| May 1 00:17:00 | 9m 00s | Church of Minimalism | Linux version does not run: <br/>$ ./launch.sh <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: transientlibs/preui/objects/states/TransientGame <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:791) <br/> at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:142) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(URLClassLoader.java:449) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.access$100(URLClassLoader.java:71) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:361) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:355) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:354) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:423) <br/> at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:308) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:356) <br/> at sun.launcher.LauncherHelper.checkAndLoadMain(LauncherHelper.java:482) <br/>Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: transientlibs.preui.objects.states.TransientGame <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:366) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:355) <br/> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) <br/> at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:354) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:423) <br/> at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:308) <br/> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:356) <br/> ... 13 more |
| May 1 00:27:00 | 10m 00s | Contact: Lost | The very short sound loop combined with the low fps (maybe 10 fps) and the eye-hurting grid on the ground made this very hard to bear for me. Also the text at the beginning contains more information than I can assimilate at a time. <br/>Love2D games are usually very smooth, I don't know what went wrong here. |
| May 1 02:08:00 | 1h 41m | Hexzilla | Great presentation, good audio, very smooth (played the Linux version). Well done! The game itself lacked some goal to keep me playing, although I played much longer the second time I tried and then eventually lost/abandonned after 200 ~ (whatever this number means :) ). |
| May 1 02:35:00 | 27m 00s | Project Status: Abandoned | Just opens a black window with openjdk7 on linux. I like the screenshot though. <br/> <br/>Exception in thread "main" java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException <br/> at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) <br/> at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:57) <br/> at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) <br/> at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:601) <br/> at org.eclipse.jdt.internal.jarinjarloader.JarRsrcLoader.main(JarRsrcLoader.java:58) <br/>Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: input == null! <br/> at javax.imageio.ImageIO.read(ImageIO.java:1388) <br/> at com.crazynatestudios.project.AbandonedGame.<init>(AbandonedGame.java:45) <br/> at com.crazynatestudios.project.AbandonedApp.main(AbandonedApp.java:61) <br/> ... 5 more |

| May 1 04:54:00 | 23m 00s | Minimum Friction | Great simple idea, well executed and perfectly in line with the theme! I like the music and the paralax squares in the background :). However it is annoying to restart from the beginning every time. The sound when an obstacle is passed is annoying too. (And why do so many people make games with totally white backgrounds? Arrgh... Painful.) |
| May 1 05:31:00 | 37m 00s | hru | Very nice but difficult controls. Not relaxing at all. |
| May 1 05:50:00 | 19m 00s | You Must Escape | Excellent sound and visual effects! Well done. |
| May 1 09:52:00 | 4h 02m | LD26 Crimson Tide | It was hard to grasp the concept at first for many reasons: I thought I was controlling the blue ball and that the controls were reversed, I had no idea what all those stats were, nor what this red color was about. I didn't notice that I was losing hitpoints when moving in the red zone and the game ended for no apparent reason. <br/>After restarting twice and reading carefully the instructions I almost understand everything :). I like the way the red attacks and takes over the green slowly like a wave that can't be stopped, but can in fact be... But I found I had to repeat the same actions again and again: build walls, build tower, return to planar gate, sleep, go back to new camp, build camp, add archers and infantry, return to planar gate, sleep... I finally stopped way before making the map completely green :p. |
| May 1 10:15:00 | 23m 00s | LOOP | Pretty cool. Worked fine under Wine (apart from the blatant absence of vsync). Couldn't find the hidden ending... |
| May 1 21:05:00 | 10h 50m | Flipcrusher | Having to quit the game and restart from the beginning and watch the intro after each failure is really annoying. Great music though. |
| May 1 21:58:00 | 53m 00s | Prototype | I liked the idea of a world full of lonely squares, and the cooperation. The player movement is perfect with its smoothness and subtle inertia. The abrupt ending gives a bonus point for the theme ;). Unfortunately I played it under Wine/Linux and there was no sound. |
| May 2 01:18:00 | 3h 20m | The Game Without Controls | Funny idea but controlling the game seems rather difficult and prone to break my other software, so I couldn’t go past the first screen. Nice graphics. (Tried under Wine/Linux.) |
| May 2 01:20:00 | 2m 00s | BasedBall | Need Linux or Windows build to be able to play this... |
| May 2 01:49:00 | 29m 00s | We Dreamers | Original. The scrolling was really slow in Firefox 20 (Linux / Intel hd graphics). |
| May 2 02:06:00 | 17m 00s | Staring Contest | For me it's stuck on the loading sound screen even if I click on start anyway. Maybe my firefox extensions, but I enabled everything I could... |
| May 2 02:21:00 | 15m 00s | mesh | Pretty good and fun. Only the last level was annoying, it took ages to climb that ramp! And I'm glad I didn't fall in the wrong one afterwards! The music loop is cool but too short, it got annoying after a while too. And of course I would have loved a non-white background. |
| May 2 03:35:00 | 1h 14m | Justice | Original idea, but I don't understand that game. The legal jargon makes no sense to me. I have no idea what the goal is. Does asking questions change anything in the outcome or is the only real game-changing choice at the very end? The ending I saw felt strange and unpleasant. |
| May 2 04:20:00 | 45m 00s | The epicly short adventure | Being able to end the game almost immediately was pretty funny, as where the character's messages. But having to constantly press return and hear this horrible sound after each death, and the huge inertia / small platforms, and the low framerate/response time and crackling sound of the web version made this game less pleasant to play than it should have been. Nice graphics though. |
| May 2 05:16:00 | 56m 00s | Dragon Drop | Every mouse action blocks for a couple seconds which makes this game painful to use. (Tried on Firefox 20 and Midori, same result.) |
| May 2 17:31:00 | 12h 15m | Down The Line | Pretty cool! |
| May 2 17:43:00 | 12m 00s | Seed | Nice presentation! It seemed that the game would go on forever no matter what I did though. |
| May 2 17:53:00 | 10m 00s | REVOLVENGARDE | Nice idea, but it should start a little slower, especially the second level which is way too hard for me (and shouldn't be the default!). I had fun with the first level though! <br/>(Audio didn't work under Wine.) |
| May 2 18:06:00 | 13m 00s | Squeeps | Cool; it was a little hard to know if I needed to eat / how was my health, but that's part of the fun. It was nice discovering I could drown the baddies. |
| May 2 18:37:00 | 31m 00s | i need to lie down | Cool. A bit sluggish though, but that adds to the feeling of helplessness I suppose :). Are the red hearts/notes of any use? |
| May 2 19:10:00 | 33m 00s | O.R.M. Ontological Ressource Management | Interesting, but I think the gauges fill slower on my computer than on yours (the big gauge at the start definitely fills faster after buying more space and it is smaller.) You should take the elapsed time into account instead of just adding 2. <br/>Then high scores would be great, since this game is all about the score :). |
| May 2 20:14:00 | 1h 04m | Shp Shft Mz | Interesting. Strange physics starting from level 3. You forgot the Linux build. |
| May 2 21:21:00 | 1h 07m | Funky Lincoln Saves the Day | Pretty fun, but I stopped at level 6 which was a bit hard. I might come back to this one later ;). Too bad the scrolling is so jerky. |
| May 2 22:13:00 | 52m 00s | MiniHarvest | How are we supposed to start the game? |
| May 2 22:27:00 | 14m 00s | Conundrum | Very good! (Assuming you made the music yourself during the week-end.) |
| May 2 22:36:00 | 9m 00s | Baron von Tater: Attack of the Taters! | Pressing x or ctrl does not attack (linux version) so it's impossible to play. The web version is actually a download...? Audio and gfx seem nice though. |
| May 2 22:41:00 | 5m 00s | FLIP | Is this java? Can you make a .jar? |
| May 2 22:50:00 | 9m 00s | Patty's Perilous Plunder | Nicely made and minimal, but the music loop, while good, is way too short, and restarting from the beginning after each death is a pain. |
| May 2 22:57:00 | 7m 00s | A-Void | Another download hoster would be great. I had to enable a bunch of javascript things, then cookies, to be told I had to wait 20 seconds... |
| May 2 23:12:00 | 15m 00s | Min's Journey | Nice. I didn't have time to read all the text between the levels. Are the musics made with autotracker? |
| May 2 23:24:00 | 12m 00s | DE-REZZED: Survival | Unplayable, runs at 6 fps in Firefox 20 on a Core i3 @3.2 GHz. |
| May 2 23:37:00 | 13m 00s | Bear Necessities | I tried the windows version under linux, but it failed with "no lwjgl in java.library.path". I don't understand why java games often have separate downloads for windows, osx and linux; isn't it supposed to be cross-platform? |
| May 2 23:56:00 | 19m 00s | Kriok | Seemed very good at first, but I can't find the solution to level 3. |
| May 3 00:43:00 | 47m 00s | Tana | I really don't get what the game is. Move to the X and press space? It apparently crashed in an infinite loop at the end (neither ESC nor CTRL-C did work.) The control scheme was confusing, better use the arrow keys for compatibility. |
| May 3 02:56:00 | 2h 13m | ASCII 219 | Fun and smooth, but it would be nice to know where we've already been and/or where the end is! I stopped before the end, not knowing if I was progressing or just running in circles. |
| May 3 04:00:00 | 1h 04m | [[[[ | Way too slow, but this idea has some potential. <br/>Since the second level was (almost) the same as the first, and the instructions say "that's all you'll get", I thought there was no game at all... Then I read the first comments that seemed to imply there was actually something and I tried again. |
| May 3 04:03:00 | 3m 00s | Complete Revenge: A Hero s Journey | The web version doesn't work for me, all I get is a black rectangle (firefox 20 with a bunch of extensions, but I enabled javascript and cookies to no effect.) |
| May 3 04:09:00 | 6m 00s | RYB - RedYellowBlue | I got a bunch of "profiling:/home/me:Cannot create directory" messages which seem pretty wrong... |
| May 3 04:28:00 | 19m 00s | AlienHunt | Works well and is fun for a while (maybe I should keep this game to train my trackball pointing skills!) The starting sound and the flash when an enemy is killed are a bit violent though! And it *seemed* that I had to click slightly in front of the enemies. |
| May 3 04:33:00 | 5m 00s | 48 Hours? How about 48 seconds. | Not that it matters, but why label this "Windows"? Python is cross platform. Needs Python 2, btw. |
| May 3 04:39:00 | 6m 00s | North Korea World Savior | 8 people rated a game that cannot be downloaded, apparently. (Or they just didn't bother to leave a comment.) |
| May 3 05:07:00 | 28m 00s | Employment | That was pretty funny: the emptiness, raycasting 20 years later, the music, the broken keys. However not being able to slide against the walls was a bit annoying, especially in month 3... I stopped (lost) there after trying twice to reach the office and failing. <br/>(Ran with Wine under Linux.) |
| May 3 05:14:00 | 7m 00s | Minimal Shootage | Well, it's working and it's fun for as long as it lasts! A score counter would have been nice, though given the length of the game it doesn't really matter :). |
| May 5 07:02:00 | 49h 48m | .Dot | Nice graphics and music, but what "twist" are you talking about? I finished the game in like 30 seconds and there was nothing special in there, just jumping. |
| May 7 21:57:00 | 62h 55m | Y&P | Very easy to build for Linux (git clone https://github.com/tobbez/LD26.git && cd LD26/LD26 && make). Works fine but the game is a bit too easy. I got 31, then 44 on my second try. |
| May 7 22:02:00 | 5m 00s | The Simple Clicker Game | Worked under Linux with openjdk7. Minimal but not very challenging! :) |
| May 8 20:05:00 | 22h 03m | HUE | Painful due to small platforms and the way key presses / jumping is handled. |
| May 8 20:40:00 | 35m 00s | Hukaire | I played this under Linux with the help of Wine. It was kinda fun, but as others have said having to press return everytime was a bit tedious, and while I was scanning the map to look for Karatoises, killing weak ones and avoiding dangerous ones, I realized I'd have to do it again because I didn't note the coordinates of the ones I was avoiding on a piece of paper (or in a text editor). This is when I stopped playing because that didn't seem much fun :p. |
| May 8 23:28:00 | 2h 48m | Curiosity | Dying randomly is not fun. Also why ask the player to press enter when the game uses the mouse and not the keyboard? |
| May 8 23:39:00 | 11m 00s | Cleaner Bot | The controls felt good although the fps was really low on my setup (firefox 20 / Linux / Intel HD graphics). Also the camera changed at a strange moment and then the robot was hidden by a wall. I would have liked arrow control instead of wasd so that I don't have to change my keymap to play. |
| May 9 00:06:00 | 27m 00s | Potato Art | Great music! And fun game; I managed to find the painting ;). The jigsaw puzzle part was probably the most fun because the rest was rather straightforward. |
| May 9 00:11:00 | 5m 00s | Robbery | Can you make a .jar? |
| May 9 00:37:00 | 26m 00s | Be A Minimalist | Nicely made, although the game doesn't require much thinking or dexterity. It's kind of artistic though ;). |
| May 9 00:42:00 | 5m 00s | Minimal Conquest | Rules of the game would be nice. |
| May 9 01:02:00 | 20m 00s | Illumbox | Pretty colour effects, even if they don't make much sense to me. As you wrote, obstacles are impossible to avoid, and the player moves a bit slowly. Nice music. |
| May 9 01:04:00 | 2m 00s | Co-op | Can't download the game, I get a web page with an error. |
| May 9 01:27:00 | 23m 00s | Tri-Forever | Interesting but it takes too long before something happens, and when it does it seems pretty hard to both control the ball and avoid enemies. |
| May 9 01:35:00 | 8m 00s | ppet -- a random tamagotchi permadeath sim | Doesn't make any sense, it seems that I have absolutely no control on the "game". I like the graphics though. |
| May 9 01:47:00 | 12m 00s | LDRU | Pretty hard at first sight but I managed to finish the game somehow :). Interesting gravity idea. |
| May 9 01:53:00 | 6m 00s | MiniMemory | Can you make a Linux build? There is no Unity web player for Linux. |
| May 9 02:01:00 | 8m 00s | Cobalism | Levels are rather empty, with no apparent goal. |
| May 9 16:45:00 | 14h 44m | Flight Time | Great but level 3 (red circle in the corner) was a bit too hard and the level with the 8 green circles way too hard. Well, I tried like 20 times, that's enough... |
| May 9 16:59:00 | 14m 00s | I Dream In Color | Cool idea but I played in Firefox 20 and pressing the right mouse button showed a menu, which made playing this more difficult than necessary :). Also jerky animation (low fps) and poor reaction to mouse clicks. But I really like the idea of placing light to show/activate only the required elements in order to create a path. |
| May 9 18:40:00 | 1h 41m | Leaf Me Alone | Nice game, but jerky scrolling and I abandonned after trying like 10 times to reach the squirrel on his throne (?). Doesn't seem very theme-ish. |
| May 9 18:51:00 | 11m 00s | Perfect Crime | Linux version, all I get is a black screen. |
| May 9 20:30:00 | 1h 39m | MINIMALISM | Well, it's working very well :). |
| May 9 21:49:00 | 1h 19m | NightCap | Fun and interesting mecanic (having a limited time to do whatever needs to be done in the alternate reality). However it appears I went too far to the right and then the game restarted from the beginning, which was annoying. <br/>The behaviour of the moving platform was strange; I believe the first time the character followed it automatically, while the second time it didn't and I had to press left or right to stay on top of it. |
| May 11 22:06:00 | 48h 17m | Swimming Fool | Very nice, great graphics and music/sound. Unfortunately with firefox / intel hd graphics the game also has very low FPS and it was sometimes hard to choose the correct direction for a jump. <br/>I would have liked to restart from the latest asteroid after a death instead of restarting from some checkpoint far away. |
| May 15 13:15:00 | 87h 09m | Save the Potato, Save the world. | Linux version doesn't work on Arch Linux 64 bit: <br/>./robotater: error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory <br/>I played the web version. Great music and graphics! Even though the framerate was a bit low, the game reacted well to key presses. However I didn't understand what the "!" squares were for and abandonned after dying too many times on the spikes. Restarting from the last point were the character was touching the ground instead of restarting from the beginning would be nice! |
| May 15 14:26:00 | 1h 11m | Mini Malice | Nice! I like the graphics and colours. Too bad the game is so slow (played it with Firefox 20); controlling the character gets tedious quickly. But it was fun jumping on unstable platforms. Having to hit several times the soul’s shell was a bit tedious too; it would be nice to be able to break them with only one hit if the stomp is strong enough! I made it to the end and was disappointed :P. |
| May 16 00:38:00 | 10h 12m | I want to save the guy | Doesn't work with Wine under Linux. I tried to compile it but there were many errors. |
| May 17 01:52:00 | 25h 14m | I Dream Of Circles | The Linux link points to some photo web site... |
| May 17 02:49:00 | 57m 00s | TOOM | Great graphics and nice audio (although not looping), but I didn't understand what to do apart from cooking a couple things... Does clicking on inventory objects do something? Not really fun clicking on stuff everywhere and not seeing anything happen. Works very well in Firefox 21 though. |
| May 17 03:45:00 | 56m 00s | TNAFT | Cool idea! |
| May 18 20:02:00 | 40h 17m | Pixel Pusher | Works well, but not very fun (depressing music and the games requires neither skill nor thought.) Maybe with upbeat music and if the cubes were moving and you could push (throw) them several squares away...? |
| May 18 20:16:00 | 14m 00s | Flee: The Daily Adventures of a Springtail | Work well but it's impossible to avoid the creepers on level 2 due to the speed of the game and low visibility. |
| May 18 20:26:00 | 10m 00s | Minimalistic PotatoPeople | I like the idea of programming stuff, but this game really needs a tutorial. Also the in game introduction text is truncated almost everywhere. |
| May 18 20:52:00 | 26m 00s | Sleepwalker | Good idea, but having to restart from the beginning is tedious; it would be nice to be able to accelerate the night time. The game froze at the bath time. The instuctions said to use y but y does nothing. |
| May 18 21:01:00 | 9m 00s | Peter The Stranger | The broken physics were funny (walking on the ceiling...) ;) <br/>Not bad but I couldn't pass the underwater lava passage (too hard). The sounds are a bit painful. |
| May 18 21:09:00 | 8m 00s | Circle Barrage | Can't play your game because no Linux build. Also, please remember that not everyone has a qwerty keymap. |
| May 18 21:18:00 | 9m 00s | Dodge | Not bad, works well, it's decently minimalistic and having to catch a pan to win the level is unusual :). Complaints: once the game is lost I have to reload the page instead of simply pressing space, and the second level is very hard. I also didn't notice any shield after taking the mouth. |
| May 18 21:28:00 | 10m 00s | Exciting Game Experience Unit Shifter | Funny but not very fun I'm afraid :). |
| May 18 21:39:00 | 11m 00s | MinimizeArt | You should mention that there's a jar available! <br/>Funny introduction and "caught" sequence. <br/>Problem: I have to release the arrow key before pressing X to steal a painting. <br/>Bigger problem: I have to restart from the beginning when I'm caught. <br/>Otherwise seems like a decent simple game; not sure how it evolves after level 2 because I didn't pass it. |
| May 18 21:45:00 | 6m 00s | Taking Sides | I like the screenshots but can't play because the game "requires a plugin". Also wasd works only on qwerty keymaps. |
| May 18 21:49:00 | 4m 00s | Gasoline Quest | I'm glad to see Linux support, but an 11 MB .sh file? I never feel comfortable running something like that. Also wasd only works on qwerty. |
| May 18 21:56:00 | 7m 00s | Crescendo | Took a really long time to download. <br/>Aaand... <br/>./crescendo: error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory <br/>(Linux version) |
| May 18 22:19:00 | 23m 00s | Color Police | Can't download either. You should mention in the source link that it's in pygame, because when I saw "windows" I was ready to give up and go on with the next game; but PyGame I can run easily under Linux! |
| May 18 22:28:00 | 9m 00s | Pure Green | Minimal! Has some gameplay to it, but rather short lived (I lost once, then won). I guess it could be turned into an actual action platformer/jump and run game. |
| May 18 23:02:00 | 34m 00s | Ramspace | This could be interesting but based on the description it seems there is not much to do. The game starting fullsceen, using wasd (qwerty only) instead of the arrow keys, and grabing my mouse pointer thus preventing from doing anything else at the same time, was slightly annoying. Still, nice graphics and atmosphere and seems to suit the theme well. |
| May 19 16:49:00 | 17h 47m | BBB&B | Good game! It would be nice if it used all letters of the keyboard. I scored 145. |
| May 19 17:14:00 | 25m 00s | <Insert Title Here> | Great music! Too bad there aren't any sound effect. The game is good, but difficulty ramps up too slowly, and also some levels seem easier than the previous one. Sometimes the game stops listening to my keypresses, and/or the player square moves by itself towards the edge of the window. Also some enemies get stuck in the top-left corner. |
| May 19 17:17:00 | 3m 00s | Conveyor | Too bad there's no Linux build. I like the screenshots. |
| May 19 17:24:00 | 7m 00s | NoBility | Nice game but the text box prevented me from playing level 8 (it hides the top part of the level and was still slowly displaying the help for previous levels when I got there) and the audio loop is way too short, which becomes annoying quickly. Apart from that I have nothing to complain about, it's playable and with some more/bigger levels it could be pretty fun. |
| May 19 17:30:00 | 6m 00s | BloxMin - by Lody - Ludum Dare 26 | Tells me I need Flash 11.4.0. All other Flash games worked until now. I have Flash 11.2. |
| May 19 17:32:00 | 2m 00s | Bounce me | No Linux build :(. |
| May 19 17:38:00 | 6m 00s | A journey to Nightshade | Nice boat trail. But it's hard to know if the boat is moving, and there's nothing to do apparently. Also it's strange how the boat can only go up. |
| May 19 20:24:00 | 2h 46m | The Ethereal Stage | I don't get it, better instructions would be nice (I don't feel like working one hour to try to understand the game). Nice music (for the first 30 s) and gfx though. |
| May 19 20:25:00 | 1m 00s | How Long Can You Last | No Linux build, can't play. |
