Nice idea. Never seen such version of snake b4
I like the concept, but it takes kinda long time before the first apple appears. :/
I like this take on classic snake games. Addicting!
I like the idea of adding more degrees of freedom. I can imagine trying to make different kinds of shapes with the snake.
The fun of playing the game suffers by having the apples spawn so infrequently as it doesn't really give me much to do except for waiting for another apple. If you could have the player do something more frequently then I think it will be more engaging.
Nice idea. I think the 45° turns detract from the game, but maybe it’s just because I’ve only ever played 90° snake games. Also using the arrow keys instead of a and d would have been nice.
I don't care what anyone says, your decisions with this game (reverse snake, 45 degrees, and head/tail flipping) are spot on. Great job!
Interesting take on snake :)
Thanks for the comments, everyone. The Android port is almost finished and I will hopefully be able to post it soon. I also agree that the apples have too long of a spawning time, that was actually a typo(5000ms vs 2500ms) so I am uploading a new version by 10 PM GMT April 30th.
Very new and innovative
That was cool, doing snake backwards. Nice spin on it. It's cool that you can turn it at smaller intervals or larger ones too.
First time I got really lucky and won in three apples :P .
Interesting and original idea, easy controls, I like this game. The only fault is the difficulty, you could add option to decrease the spawn rate of apples or something.
Interesting idea, the movement mechanics are a nice twist on snake, but the blocks are too small on screen. It was impossible to line up a hit ahead of time, mostly I felt like it was coming down to luck.
I won. Maybe a bit too easy, with a bit of challenge this could become really interesting!
Cool game. I haven't seen a snake game where you can turn 45º. It was simple too. I liked it. Good job :)
Great work on this! 6 hours? awesome
The 45° turn idea is nice.I had two bugs while playing : The first one was a freeze when I pick a bonus the second one was a total loose of control, no input even if I click in our out of the window ( the game was still running ). I also think that there always should be a target so the first 5 seconds without bonus are a bit weird, maybe setting your bonus timer to 0 when there's no more bonus to spawn a new one would correct it. Turning to 45° then using shift mode make a very fun and unusual snake play :)
