LD17 — Islands (18)

Ganjisland by havchr

Quite a good tower defence, that you get the money from transporting the drugs, only thing was the police didn't really care about the boats that were being transported, and there was no failure state, so it was basically endless

Island Skate Delivery Boy by mklee

Some of the islands seemed impossible to make, but the graphics are really cute, and I'd of loved it if it were a little easier!!

Paradise Fort by Hempuli

loved how the generation of the island was like worms! The game is real fun, and the multiple mechanics work really well, damn those seagulls!

NoNameIsland by Sébastien Bernery

link doesn't work sorry, I'd of given it a go otherwise

DumDumIsland by eva_jolli

Reminded me somewhat of the epic Crime Fighters, a real fun game, and the combat works well, awesome sound effects and nice to have some music too.

Eden Island by brandoncash

I really loved this game, its cute graphics and novel idea was awesome, would of been nicer if the sand could of been placed in larger chunks, but its real cool for a 48 hour game, very unique

Island Guns by pubby8

Great tower defence, the power mechanic made it very tricky and you had to be very strategic, great game and concept, a real amazing turn out from LD

Islands Survival by MrLL

The little robots are cute, the game does seem to be quite small though.

Pleochorism by smn

Great little puzzle game, and really cool concept, gets so difficult it makes me scream! Love the passwords for levels, a really solid game, gratz!

Hungry for Island by the31

A really quirky concept I love it! The game seems to run a little slow on my computer, but the rotating screen was really nice and you were almost pulled into the game, funniest game I've seen so far, absolutely inspired!

Horrible LD17 Game by demize

I actually found this really fun, ashame you could disappear off the edge of the screen though, the game itself was simple and really enjoyable!

Dnalsi by bildramer

Sorry I really did not understand what I was doing in this game, it was really tiny so I couldn't see anything, and the readme didnt really explain what was going on, or what was units

Island Hopping by Riley Adams

Great game, really addictive and great concept, music is awesome, and suits the gameplay really well, is a little difficult at time, but the updated version is a lot easier to get into! Great game nuff said, congratulations

Awesome LifeBoat Game by IK1985

Awesome sound effects, I love the little chuggy noise of the ship, and the very gravel-voiced people in the water, perhaps the use of the down arrow was not needed and the collision needed to be checked a bit more, but the game is pretty cool otherwise.

Jump Pirate by snowyowl

Warning: Flesh-eating bushes, awesome game, real cute, very tricky, nicely done!

Attack of the Canvey Island Monster by Catmoo

Shame you couldnt put everything in it that you wanted, the graphics are real neat, and make up for the lack of gameplay, perhaps if you had the monster's health depleting over time there would have been more of a sense of danger. Very interesting use of the theme, the audio is awesome, love that scream on the main menu.

Dare Islands by XMunkki

A great idea, proved a little difficult, but wow, such an amazing idea and gameplay mechanic, very innovative!

On an Iron Isle by L

for an semi-abandoned game I've got to so congratulations, you've made a really smooth fluid platformer, the motion and animation is great for falling from great heights, the only thing I would say is the enemies take a lot of hits, but the game itself, superb! Really was like megaman, so very difficult :P

LD16 — Exploration (26)

The First Frontier by Redbone

fun little game, didnt realise there was a boss, so I didn't see much of a means to an end for the game, i felt the mapping of the controls was a little odd, it made it impossible for me to move out of the way of enemy fire while firing at the same time, very good effort for gm though

Echolon by mklee

Nice fun shooter, simple idea, and I managed to finish it which makes it a complete game so very good, nice simple effective graphics too!

Road by sf17k

I didnt realise I was a dot as another comment has said, I can't see this dot at all, not sure if I am just blind, interesting concept, and mix of music

S.A.R.T.S. by Cosine

Sorry but I found it too hard to play, it was far too tricky to manage to jump with the jump pads, the skill needed was too high, especially when trying to jump off the screen onto another when plummeting to the bottom was very easy to do, could of had halfway screen rests like some old platformers used to have so that the player wouldn't get too frustrated with losing all of the progress they've made in a level, loved the little dude though, very cute

Hunters of The Northwest Passage by PsySal

An amazing achievement for the competition, a few bugs here and there but a great use of the theme, even if all my crew ended up killing themselves!

...Deeper by Doches

Very addictive game, I did break it however by going too far to the right hand side of the screen, nice idea on the theme, music was smooth. I especially like how your torch light faded

Fuck Oregon let's go find El Dorado by crackerblocks

That was amazing! Best game I have played in ages, laugh out loud funny, but also very taxing and tricky to play, love it!

Deep Field by Gilvado

The idea of the game was great, I loved it, but I didn't really get what impact I was making on the game, would of been nice for something to show that I had run out of time, think you aimed a little too high with what you wanted to do, if you'd of started simple the game would have felt more complete, however it is still an admirable game for 48 hours

In The Field by Entar

Fits well to the theme, nicely designed levels, and an engaging play

Jail Escape by Rudy_Guillan

The graphics are nice, as is the system you have in place for the torchlight, I like how it doesn't penetrate through walls, the players view does make it a bit difficult on occasion though being seen by bad guys without realising they were there can suck a bit

Massacre at Misfit Toy Island by sfernald

I loved the graphics, unfortunately the game was so hard, which was a terrible shame, still loved it anyway, the game was a little jittery at times, would be lovely with some music

Where is the Cheese by KungPhoo

After seeing this on the community I know I had to play it, your score is amazing, as are you sound effects counting up the items that are near each other, I think I have more fun re-arranging the fridge than finding the cheese though, excellent game very humorous and entertaining!

Age of Exploration by wonderwhy-er

I really like the idea, didn't understand it at first, but loved it when I got the hang of it. Only gripe I had was once you've colonised about 8 planets I never had many more come into my view

Chameleon by Undead3

Took me a game to get used to it, but after that I loved it, best game I've played yet, some more sounds would have been nice, I like how the graphics are very simple but complement the game also.

Soundscape by Atomic

Amazing concept, far too difficult, but it should be, and you shouldnt make it easier, I found it difficult to determine what different pitches and frequency I was listening out for, perhaps a guide at the start to determine this may have helped, might just be me though

TextAge 2: The Rise of His Majesty by madk

Nothing beats a text adventure, had some problems getting through the door at the start it wouldn't recognise my commands. But what you've made considering its size is remarkable in 48 hours

CMYKave by QOGQOG

I didn't think I would but I actually loved this game, the humor of it was awesome, I loved all the different endings, great stuff!

Heli scout by Laksen

nice fun game, i'd of loved it if there were a bit more though!

Cubees: Age of Exploration by Tempest

This game is amazing, one of the best I've played because you don't want to quit, the graphics are nice, and the idea is simple but effective, you perhaps are given too many moves though as it is easy to keep playing without having to glance at your moves

I Never Missed Anyone Until They Were All Gone by Cosr

I liked the art style, should have gone with something a little simpler, then you might have managed to get something finished, however the artstyle alone as well as the path system you have going is very nice

This is Infinity by cactus

Seemed very demoscene to me, nice visual and audio elements all mixing very well together!

Rex's Junk Hunt by Catmoo

Woulda been nice if the items disappeared after you found them, but I love the graphics and the sound effects, nice use of the theme

5 Colors: Pandora by Jordan Magnuson

I did like the use of colour, and that the playable character was so much like a small jelly bean full of excitement, but I did not understand why you included the square as basically it removed almost any point as playing as the stick like character, you had an amazing idea here, and its innovation as a game was high compared to some of the other games, splash screen might of helped though, as I had no idea what to do at first. Always important to include because most players will not read an instruction manual before playing a game.

Drowning by ronsho

Black screen was a little irritating, but a great concept, audio and visuals make a great atmosphere

Chip 1234 by voltain

a very cute little platformer, nice idea, but I did get stuck down a pit. Also found it very difficult to start the game without knowing that select was z

Cat Planet by chuchino

The music is great, the cats are awesome and the flying system works nicely without making the game too easy, the game seems huge, tremendous effort and congratulations required!
