Flee Buster by ChevyRay 2011-08-28T23:43:00

Loved this a ton. Visual style was spot on in a VVVVVV stylee and the switching form game to game was lovely. I'd actually like the timer to have sped up as the game reaches a climax actually, increasing in pace, piling on the pressure.

Great game. I hope you continue developing this one.

Horseback Chase by pekuja 2011-08-29T00:02:00

That is the greenest... squarest horse... I think I've ever seen.

With some decent graphics swapped in and a little bit of sound, this could be killer. The mechanics are smooth enough, but those nice shiny bits being missing are letting it down quite badly.

Escape from Ludum Dare by AbelToy 2011-08-28T22:07:00

Yeah this is massive fun. I love the manic minigame style of game (Bishi Bashi is one of my favourite all time games). This showed off a lot of skills in a nice swift manner. Some great stuff in here which could easily be expanded out and polished.

Hotel Escape by pgil 2011-08-29T00:09:00

I liked this. I actually didn't have too much problems with the controls like others and I thought it was nicely polished. Great work!

Escape Cod by Tom 7 2011-08-28T17:23:00

I've expressed much MUCH love for your games. I think it's your intro screens... I fall in love with them. I actually want to commission you to write me a song - they're THAT awesome.

The game itself was fun as hell too. I liked the fish-eating-fish-increasing-levels thing, although I didn't QUITE get to grips with how I was exactly controlling what was going on... it was all a bit trial and error.

Fantastic stuff though. You certainly know how to pack your games full of charm.

Hello?? by Jhelle 2011-08-28T23:53:00

SCREWY HOOK! I loved the way this panned out and "appeared" before you. Nice take on the lucasarts style point and click. I'd have liked a bit more choice from stage to stage (not much point pressing a 1. if it's the only choice)

I'd love to see that "room developing as it's being described" thing being incorporated into something fuller - I can see much scope for it in this style of fiction.

And resistance was futile by nilstastic 2011-08-28T13:49:00

The movement and the mindless shooting was all good, but I really didn't know where I was going with this one... was there a point/endgame?

Worked fine on my system: NVidia GeForce GTX 460.

Escaparazzi by Felipe Budinich 2011-08-28T17:13:00

This was fun and I liked the idea behind it. That flight of the bumblebee mix worked really well with the fast pacedness of it all. Loving the ideas suggested here about the paps being run over... never even thought about that while playing. Great work.

Dark Acre Jack's "Escapology" by Dark Acre Jack 2011-08-28T15:17:00

I'm an amateur magician and I adored this. I'd atually love to see this develop into a fully fledged "magic act" game. Link those rings, pull that rabbit from the hat, saw that woman. This fits the theme of the competition though and was fun as heck.

I loved the reprise of the handcuffs after getting the jacket off... I was all "YAY! I'm DONE... oh shiiii..." and panic set in.

Fun game, and with a bit of love and polish could be a great game!

Escape Artist by johnfn 2011-08-28T17:20:00

Neat mechanic which I enjoyed. I got a glitch where some gold blocks would pass to the next screen and were unobtainable however. It did get quite tough and there seems to be a few "pointless" screens (the guard down the bottom... is there anything to do in there except avoid?) but that might just be me.

A fun playthrough though. Thanks!

Bunnies, Back Into Your Cage! by ratking 2011-08-28T14:26:00

Loved the stylings of this. Cute, blocky, fun. Would be a great kids puzzle game if not for the...

CONTROLS! I know everyone had raged about this. How about making it a block swap puzzle. You click a block and it swaps with the bunny, with some kind of logical animation. It'd be a bit less frustrating I think, and some logical puzzles could still be made.

Great work though. Loved the art so much. I want to buy a big fuzzy blocky carrot.

Black Hole by Bloodyaugust 2011-08-28T14:05:00

Tough old game. Could definitely do with some polish and work on ramping up the difficulty in stages. A greater variety of enemies, powerups and a nice "sucking" black hole effect and I could see this being rather popular. Nifty.

AWOL by quickfingers 2011-08-28T13:54:00

Great fun and excellent presentation. For some reason I really struggled with the fly mode though. Either my head is just not working, or it really wasn't taking off for me. It'd be nice if the craft lifted automatically from the ground a few CM to give the user the air-control... I was just dragging my sorry-ass along the ground.

Nice idea though. Reminded me a little of Spycatcher, with the vehicle changing... maybe add water/boats next? :D

Fireflies by Winterblood 2011-08-28T23:41:00

Love the graphical style you've used here - quite LIMBOesque. Allowed me to leap into places I shouldn't have been able to though, which was a shame. The lights were fantastic, lots of atmosphere.

/ ESCAPE \ by schonstal 2011-08-28T17:18:00

This is awesome. So polished and everything just WORKS.

I wish I could see a little farther ahead as I ended up with a few unfair deaths by jumping into the unknown. Reminds me of "ninjump" on iOS quite a bit, but thats not a bad thing.

If this ever ports to iOS... you have yourself at least one sale.

Cave Runner by DecsterB 2011-08-28T15:06:00

Yeah. Chalk another one up to "ohhhh loot is my energy" headslapping later in playing. I liked the idea though. The boomerang sword was a nice addition, but the speed issues could do with balancing.

At first I just wanted to kill the dragon... the right->left scrolling always throws me.

Alpha Centuri by Jasper Stocker 2011-08-28T13:47:00

Nice immersion, and I also expected aliens... but the ghosts was a welcome twist. A brighter flashlight would be a decent addition, but give it a burnout time or battery run-out perhaps?

Good job.

Captain Starfire's Great Escape! by jonnopon3000 2011-08-28T15:01:00

Great for a first entry, though I did find it quite frustrating due to the bugs and it's not being quite "interactive" enough for me. I'd either like to move around... or have a visual moving turret on the stationary character.

The theme was pretty shoehorned in here too. I hope to see more entries in future :D

Death Game by icrisanto 2011-08-28T17:04:00

I really struggled with the controls on this. I liked the idea of placing blocks to move around, but it was too fiddly for me to enjoy for too long. If the controls are ironed out, this could be great! Enjoyed the moody music.

Roundman: Escape from Squareworld by lectvs 2011-08-28T22:17:00

This is fun, but I also found the controls rather slippery... I wish there was a bit more feedback upon killing a monster/hitting a block that I was gaining more score. A more defining "ting" or a pointvalue floating out of them or something.

I kept stopping to hit things, but not knowing why... was it score or powerups. (it was when I watched my footage later I figured out it was score).

It's on it's way there, and could be something special :D

Bountyhunted! by Hempuli 2011-08-28T14:11:00

Reminded me of a lesser known indie game by dustingunn which I loved - Sombrero's. Utterly charming and would benefit hugely from some nice western tunes. Great work.

Cosmic Heist by Kevin Wells 2011-08-28T15:08:00

It'd be nice to have some indication of where the player is due to head towards. At the moment it just seems a bit aimless. I was scrambling for a shoot button at first too... it's almost MANDATORY to have a gun on a spaceship in a videogame.

Maybe an additional intro showing that the guns are damaged or somesuch?

Great fluid mechanics and movement though.

Ernest the Plump Adventurer (in trouble) by agersant 2011-08-28T17:10:00

Yeah nice and solid this game. Lots of work gone into your 48 hours here. I'd like to see this one developed - I especially liked the risk-reward of the hearts and collectables. Do I jump and get a life, for the risk of swimming back up here...

Great. Should definitely be developed further.

Damn My Stubby Little Legs by oatsbarley 2011-08-28T15:12:00

I've already spoken to you about this a little, but I ADORED this little gem. I'd LOVE to hear a sonic-esque countdown time in the last five panic inducing seconds to really give the player the sweats...

Gorgeous. Simple. Fun. I want to see more of this.

Demonout - the roguesque adventure by theosk 2011-08-28T17:06:00

My goodness you set yourself a mammoth challenge trying to do a complete dungeon crawler with so many elemtns within the 48 hours. You didn't quite succeed, but with a bit of polish this could be going somewhere.

Enjoyed it, because I'm a crawler-nerd... but definitely needs more work.

Esc. the Robot by dray 2011-08-28T22:22:00

Really struggled to gauge my landings due to the angle of perspective. A more defined landing shadow would have helped quite a bit here. Easy restart would have helped a lot to ease frustration too. Otherwise a strong entry into the compo - good luck!

Bubba's Escape by Puffi 2011-08-28T14:13:00

Cool style and a nice take on this type of sliding block puzzle. Took me a while to figure it out at first - and it'd be neat to see a "guideline" and walk-animation when you move the protagonist. Fun times.

Escape from Monster City by KevinWorkman 2011-08-28T22:10:00

I'd definitely like to see an end game for this and some bassy slow music would add about 10x more atmosphere... maybe with some horrific violins when the eyes go red (thinking witch from Left4Dead here)...

Fun game though and I had fun running through the streets with monsters tailing me.

Caramelo by fierysquirrel 2011-08-28T15:02:00

I really dig that handmade style. Thought not particularly original, it definitely fitted your game. Cut emusic and sound effects and everything was just nice. Movement felt a bit heavy and difficult at times and your walrus looks a lot like Slowpoke ;)

Fun!

EscApe by marudziik 2011-08-28T17:16:00

Neat first entry - some good work for 48 hours. I wasn't too keen on the fog effect at first, but it works in hindsight. More games should have monkeys in makeshift bamboo helicopters!

Escape the Fate by Jwatt 2011-08-28T22:20:00

This was fun. I liked the concept (though I got really stuck on level 3... curse my stupidity!) The art style is super-tight and sets it above some other games of this type. Nice music and sound too - it's not too overpowering and fits the world well. Very good.

Dungeon Exit by angrygeometry 2011-08-28T17:07:00

WHY DOES IT SAY PISS ON MY SCREEN?

Seriously though, I genuinely enjoyed being screwed over by this "game". Some of those "glitches" looked super real. If this did all of that a bit more subtly and made it more gamey... I'd really enjoy thinking my computer was slowly burning itself out :D

Action Time : Escape from the dangerous explosive complex by TurboDindon 2011-08-28T13:44:00

Great game. I echo the thoughts already mentioned. I'd like the rewind feature to feel a bit more "earthy". Sometimes the walljumping wasn't so clear (wall-to-wall or climbing up same wall?) especially with the snowdrift effect covering the view so much.

It's definitely on it's way to going somewhere though, so I'd keep up with development.

Evil Llama: Escape from the death festival. by Halfbus 2011-08-28T22:44:00

I am pretty llama... This was FAB! Great music, great art style, smooth gaming! A bit hard to see what was coming up a lot of the timee, but this just added to the mayhem of the game. Fantastic effort!

BATHOS by johanp 2011-08-28T13:57:00

I ADORED this. I'm a huge fan of the Lucasarts/SCUMM style games anyway, but this nailed it down to the tone of humour. I worked the solution out well before I completed the games, just because I wanted to see all of the dialogue cues.

Fantastic. Far too short. I'd have played this for days.
