I really like the title screen, the camera movement, music, and the design and coloring of the scene. The animation of the flys is also nice. Creating your own web, watching bugs fly into it, and the occasional rock tear a whole into it is also satisfying and visually interesting. I feel like it is confusing that when silking up a captured bug you need to be next to it, but then you can move on and still eat it. I also feel like the a simple "bugs eaten" counter on the screen would have been a nice additional. I also wish the spider was animated. I understand that time is the great limiting factor for jams though. | |

I particularly like the halloween level. Game does feel like being in an aquarium. I also like how the other creatures do not damage the player, just jostle them around. Which makes the game nice and chill. I do wish there was a bit more complexity to the game than simply swimming around collecting algea. |

But yes, it isn't well balanced. I feel like the enemy is too weak, they dont upgrade fast enough. Also, the fact that I can just upgrade my cheaper ants gives me less incentive to buy the expensive ones? I'm not sure what the solution to this though as I do like that I can upgrade my units! |
