Broken in Firefox! Works fine in Chrome though!
Cool art
@j3m Is it broken even in the Itch.io page? I tested on two machines and it worked fine in both. Can you please confirm your Firefox version? Thanks! :)
Great entry! the controls felt a bit sluggish, maybe that's on purpose because I am a fish ? Love the music, the sfx were a bit loud compare to it.
@dhim thanks for the review! There's a performance problem in my game that makes it a bit sluggish on slower machines, so it may be that? Turns out drawing every little thing on every frame in the HTML Canvas is not a good idea, especially those semi-complex fish. :)
The aesthetic is amazing. To me the gameplay seems a bit basic but the pretty graphics and the audio make up for it.
Good to know, have you adjusted your physics to the framerate ? I have got a macbook m1, it should be fine but maybe it's because I have too many tabs in Chrome!
Those are some amazing effects you got here. Love the physics and movement; everything feels so "punchy" and with some great weight into it. Didn't run into any bugs, and gameplay is extremely solid. Well done!
This was a super creative idea and I really liked the music and the art style. The levels were fun, but I found it a bit frustrating how slowly the fish moved. I'm really impressed with the level of polish reached in the compo window! Great job!
@crocidb technically I am using Waterfox, so maybe it's only broken there. But yes, on Itch too
Finally a calm and relaxing game! I want to note the visual style and pleasant music. The sound effects add atmosphere, although sometimes they are loud compared to the music. Great job Compo! 👏✨
Great job! Really loved the game, super polished and well made. :)
The game looks really really good! The animation and camera movement when you complete a level is also awesome. Nice job!
the idea is cool with a lot of effect and feedback, the game is simple but well made
This is objectively a very well made game! Visuals are great, feedback is juicy, gameplay is solid. But the last lavel was so infuiating for me peronaly 😭
I love this! The gameplay hits that sweet spot of being simple yet fun and addictive, and the retro CRT-style graphics are amazing. I got to Level 4 and then the gravitator started pulling fish towards it without me being anywhere near them, and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to prevent that. Still, though, very enjoyable, and very well done for a Compo entry. Good job!
I liked the fish animation, but the followers were a bit slow, making it feel like an npc escort quest. Also the round map on the emulated round screen felt very weird.
Hi @ellaris, thanks for the review! Well, the game _is pretty much_ an NPC escort quest. ;) I'd love to hear more about how exactly it felt weird. =D
@crocidb Well the round effect made it feel like the sides are round because of the screen being rounded, but the map was round itself. So on the left and right edge of the map I had a weird feeling, almost like slight dizziness, like I didn't understand what was happening visually, maybe it's just me.
Thanks for the feedback, @ellaris! I think I can see what you mean. Now that I didn't play the game for over a week, and I saw the video in different dimensions on my screen, I did feel it a bit weird on the borders haha
Really well polished entry! I like the attention to detail, like the radar to help you find your fishes which is a really nice addition and very helpful. The gameplay is interesting but a bit slow maybe? Like it took me a really long time finishing the tutorial itself (I'll give you that I'm not the best but still.. haha). In any case, really nice game. Good job :)
What an adorable game with dolphins! It's truly filled with details, like the fact that you're playing inside a radar, and it even has all the shaders for it. The music is relaxing, and both the gameplay and graphics complement each other, making for a very well-rounded game. One thing I don't understand, though, and I'm not sure if it's just me, is that when I play using the arrow keys and press up and down, the browser scrolls the webpage. This happens even though I click on the game area to focus. I'm using Chromium, the open-source version of Chrome, on Debian GNU/Linux. But aside from this minor issue, which I assume is related to my browser or operating system, I have to say that this is a solid entry, and to top it off, it's for the Compo, meaning it was made in under 48 hours, spectacular. Great game!
Lotta good 'juice' here - love the sound and visual design, screen shakes, lil sparkles, you guys really got it all in there. Crazy levels of polish for a game jam entry, congrats!
I like this one a lot! Nice graphics, polish and I think best part is the music. Reminded me of old games :100: A classic puzzle game, reminded me of Chip's challenge with the pacing of the puzzle difficulty (and introduction of new elements/new mechanics with existing elements) Very well done!
Tank control & relaxing can't go together at all for me, but loved everything else.
