I couldn't play because the game ends up very tiny in the top left of the screen :(

I liked the randomised powerups (keep pulling the skinner box!!) You should add a border so the player can't just kite all the enemies along in one direction indefinitely.

Fun survivor game! I love the power ups coming in clutch, that health restore really saved me a bunch of times!

Bonus question: how do you go about embedding the Godot HTML5 export into the Ludum Dare page? I tried for a while, but it just placed a blank link

@zwartraider Thanks! The powerup-system was created an hour before the end so it is pretty buggy though :)

I was using godot 4.3 and simply zipped my exported web-files and it just worked, was pretty amazed myself

Great job!

Definitely scratches that Vampire Survivors itch! High score: 176.5

Nice extermination game, enjoyed running around, then scared when found out swarm that left behind! Not sure if full health heals immediate or delayed

Hmm... me kill hampter. But, wow me like kill bug too.

This game is awesome man! Incredible job. The power ups and intro are something I wish we had time to add to our game!

Good little game, would be great to see where you take this if you continued development.

It was fun killing all the little creatures and hearing their tiny screams!

But there are some noticeable bugs apart from the ones running at you. For example the health bar seems to display as full even when you've taken a bit of damage if you have a few max health upgrades (and it doesn't immediately update when you grab a full health upgrade). Speaking of max health upgrades I got somewhat annoyed at being offered the "choice" between max health and max health seven times, I think ensuring that there are two different choices for upgrades would feel more interesting to the player.

I got a real high score of around 200 seconds (and a fake one of 260 seconds as I was writing this review, because the timer kept ticking even while the game wasn't on screen, haha).

For the time spent, very well done!

The coolest part is to collect a lot of bugs trailing you and just burn them all at once

sdcorpse 2024-10-12 01:20

325 seconds. i tryed to see the map's end. im not sure but lookes like i died while i was trying to ran away from bugs)

adrien-tremblay 2024-10-13 19:11

Nice and simple game! Beginning is hard af, but it's fun once you get more upgrades and you can do some real damage

nrankin13 2024-10-15 20:40

The hardest part is the first 10 seconds, after which it gets more fun. The randomized power-ups were a fun inclusion, but how they're rolled can make or break the game. Overall, a fun take on the theme; good job!

what @tetrergeru said, pretty much!

fun minigame!

At times it hangs on browser (Firefox) but it was fun to play. Congrats!
