| Oct 5 01:34:38 | Totally Normal Pong! | ♥ 1 | Neat game. I really enjoyed the experience of seeing my paddle turn into a sphere for the first time as it was quite unexpected. Also looks and feels nice. | |
| Oct 5 01:41:44 | 7m 06s | Grabanakki | ♥ 2 | Great game with a nice idea that fits the theme. Graphics, audio and feel were all good.Really well done. |
| Oct 5 02:06:00 | 24m 16s | Viole(n)t Cooking | ♥ 2 | The graphics are great! I'm not able to do anything once clicking the book (Sometimes it is blank, othertimes it fills out, bit in either case I can't click anything). Everything else in the room is greyed out and unclickable. Is this a known issue, or is there a way around this? Would love to try the game out if there is. |
| Oct 5 02:18:56 | 12m 56s | gunstable | ♥ 2 | Really cool concept and a lot of fun! The wind-up key on the back of your player is such a nice touch. Looks great. |
| Oct 5 02:29:11 | 10m 15s | A Hard Pill to Swallow | ♥ 4 | Fun and funny game. I liked all the unexpected moments like the voiced intro and shooting yourself through organs. I loved the really long "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" you got when you were airborn for a long duration without hitting anything. Sometimes the wait for your charater to come to a a complete stop before your next shot felt a bit long. But that's a minor gripe. Overall awesome job. |
| Oct 5 03:12:31 | 43m 20s | Paper Route | ♥ 1 | Great game, so much fun riding through the construction site! |
| Oct 5 04:50:52 | 1h 38m | A Crowded Place | ♥ 1 | A very unsettling game that matches the theme, with the music choice really adding to the experience. The multiple endings was a suprising layer of complexity, nice work there. The lack of a user interface was kind of confusing. |
| Oct 5 06:16:28 | 1h 25m | Heavy Duty | ♥ 0 | Art looks great! Love all the little touches like the dust clouds, and the platforms shattering apart. It feels great to throw the blocks around, but also a little strange that you can't turn around once you've picked up a box. Otherwise, great entry. |
| Oct 5 06:25:41 | 9m 13s | Unstable Environment | ♥ 1 | I liked the idea. Really solid use of the theme. I enjoyed the simluation aspect and how it obviously relates back to an issue in the real world. After a couple of failed attempts, I managed to bring the climate back under control, despite reaching 0% satisfaction for both Industry and Energy sectors. So a minor bug there, but overall very nice implementation. Also the intro was a surprising addition that I enjoyed. |
| Oct 5 06:38:14 | 12m 33s | Crumbling Down | ♥ 1 | Oh man, what a ride. It felt good to get stuck on some of the puzzles for as long as I did. Really solid level design, and the application of the theme is obvious. The mouse control for the glue felt a bit off, but besides that minor comment I really enjoyed it. |
| Oct 5 06:55:23 | 17m 09s | Elemental Storm | ♥ 1 | Really cool idea. 3D elements of the game look really slick. The shifting elements of the game field showing the game-state was a good idea to keep let the player keep track of the balance in their periphery while focusing on chasing the little elemental guys. The 2D drawings for the element-conversion looked out of place by comparison. Also, it was fun to throw the guys in elemental jail. |
| Oct 5 07:02:19 | 6m 56s | The Game: Unstable Version | ♥ 2 | Really interesting concept. Graphics and audio are good. I honestly found it a little jarring at first to be pulled out of the game and thrown back to the beginning with no warning. But once you found the bugs, it was easy enough to avoid them. |
| Oct 5 07:12:05 | 9m 46s | The Conflicted Merchant | ♥ 1 | I really liked the idea. And the introductory tutorial/voiceover was really good (Although there was some display issues with the text). Very frantic, I personally found it difficult to keep the balance. Which really drove home the theme of the jam. Really nice job. |
| Oct 5 07:26:51 | 14m 46s | Pendulum Postman | ♥ 1 | Nice little game. The explosion effect when you fell off the stage was a nice addition. The balance display on the left was kind of confusing, it would have been really nice to have some music along with it. |
| Oct 5 07:36:05 | 9m 14s | Disruption | ♥ 1 | Really liked the mental-health angle of the theme. The graphics were good and the grainy-filter really added to the atmosphere. A few times I tried to fire with the mouse-button and the bullet just dissapeared. But otherwise it was a solid experience. |
| Oct 5 08:34:02 | 57m 57s | Project S.L.I.M.E. | ♥ 1 | Interesting idea, but a little unintuitive to start with. My strategy was to spawn all the characters on top of each other so they would all get hit by the buffs. Then debuffing the enemies once they'd formed a tight circle around them. I enjoyed the set-up, followed by watching the characters fight. I'm a little uncertain about the application of the theme, but otherwise decent game. |
| Oct 5 08:45:24 | 11m 22s | Stable Table | ♥ 2 | I like the idea of the building with quick-time events required. Maybe it was a little easy, would have been nice to have additional levels with an increasing stack count or something? Also I couldn't get any sound when I played it. Otherwise, nice job. Really nailed the theme. |
| Oct 5 09:01:04 | 15m 40s | ARCHamster JoJonson's Bizzare Adventure: Unstable Crusade | ♥ 4 | Interesting concept. The movement of the character was really smooth. It fit the theme really well. I liked the idea of managing multiple tasks. I found all the different types out of alarms a bit annoying after a while. |
| Oct 5 09:09:55 | 8m 51s | Tables & Tremors | ♥ 1 | The first-person pixel perspective hands looked great! Game had a really cool feel that fit the theme. Nice work. |
| Oct 5 11:45:18 | 2h 35m | Critical Error | ♥ 2 | Congratulations on the first jam submission! Hopefully you pursue this post-jam and add all the features you talk about. I can see it being a really solid game once you expand on the foundations you have here, Nice work. |
| Oct 5 12:01:11 | 15m 53s | Unstable Machinery | ♥ 2 | Really cool concept! The graphics look great, the building functions are all interesting, and I really like that you used the CMY convention so the colour mixing is really easy and intuitive. Also, I like getting through the tutorial, and the game just opening up into a massive area. Had some minor issues getting stuck in pipes, and the controls took a little while to get a hang of. But overall really liked it. Nice work. |
| Oct 5 12:06:45 | 5m 34s | Rocky Eruption | ♥ 2 | Solid little game that fits the theme. It would be nice if you could restart in one-click after dying instead of having to go back to the main menu. The sprites look really good though, and giving the character a white border for high-contrast with the background was a good design choice. Nice work! |
| Oct 6 05:48:13 | 17h 41m | Tipsy | ♥ 0 | A really nifty game with a decent amount of challenge that hits the theme dead on. It felt a bit odd to me that the outcome seems to be the same whether you succeed or fail (You try again with more obejects). But overall a fun experience and a good idea. Nice work! |
| Oct 6 06:07:10 | 18m 57s | Life Gives You Lemons | ♥ 1 | Unique take on the theme, with the game locations changing across time. The graphics are really nice, the only thing missing would be some audio. Overall, nice work. Really enjoyed the twist ending! |
| Oct 6 06:24:50 | 17m 40s | Formula Dare | ♥ 3 | Really ambitious idea with a unique take on the theme. Echoing the feedback that it was a lot of information to give the player all at once. Took me a while to get the hang of it. Really cool concept though. Nice work. |
| Oct 6 06:34:40 | 9m 50s | I Want to Summon a Hot Demon but My Pwr Lvl is too Low so the Portal is Unstable | ♥ 1 | Really unique idea, I knew I had to play when I saw the name. Initially I thought I had to time the SPACE/ARROW Keys to coincide with set intervals, instead of doing them once every 5/10 seconds and was really struggling. Once I figured it out, it was a much better experience. Enjoyed the variety of questions, especially the ones that referenced previously provided information. Nice job, fit the theme really well. |
| Oct 6 06:44:19 | 9m 39s | Wobbly Penguins | ♥ 6 | I seriously appreciate any game that can pull of a genre/mood shift without completely breaking itself apart, and this is one of those games. Innovative idea and solid execution. Was NOT something I expected to find in this jam, awesome work! |
| Oct 6 07:02:26 | 18m 07s | Snowbody's Mountain | ♥ 3 | Audio and graphics look great! The stretch/squish of the snowman jumping once he gets his hat is a nice extra touch. Nails the theme, really nice work. |
| Oct 6 07:09:07 | 6m 41s | Super Snow Ball | ♥ 1 | Really nifty idea, with a solid mechanic that nails the theme. The Start text was hard to see against the background of the start screen, it would have been nice to have more contrast. The snow particles coming off the ball and the cute little face on him were nice subtle touches that really added to the game experience. Overall, really good job! |
| Oct 6 09:43:42 | 2h 34m | Proximity War | ♥ 2 | Really interesting idea, solidly implmented. It was a little unintuitive, and the instructions took a while to digest. But it was a fun experience once I got the hang of it. Overall, really nice job. |
| Oct 6 09:58:45 | 15m 03s | Moneyboy Adventures | ♥ 1 | Really liked the idea. Super creative use of the theme. I think having no indication of what is going to suddenly send you back to the start of the game is a jarring user experience. Other than that, the art and music is in a cohesive style and I enjoyed this unique game. Nice work! |
| Oct 6 10:12:21 | 13m 36s | Slime Your Way Up | ♥ 1 | Nice little game that fits the theme well. Once I had played around enough to get a gauge on the jump mechanic, it was a fun experience. I kind of wish the timer went down to the millisecond level so I could use it to time how long I was holding my jumps for. Maybe that was a deliberate design choice on your end though? Overall, game was solid and the slime was cute. The inclusion of the red platforms with different properties is a nice touch. Really good work. |
| Oct 6 11:53:38 | 1h 41m | W.T.R. | ♥ 2 | Really clever implementation of the theme! I like the minamalist art style, and the particle effects while changing states was really satisfying. I would have liked to know when I had reached a checkpoint, but otherwise a really good experience. Nice work! (Finished in 3:27) |
| Oct 7 06:42:23 | 18h 48m | Drilbert II Diggeredoo | ♥ 1 | Really creative game mechanic, and solid implementation of the theme. The controls for going around corners felt a little clunky at times, but overall it was a good experience. The puzzles were challenging enough to be fun, and leveredged the mechanics well. Really nice job! |
| Oct 7 06:48:36 | 6m 13s | BLOOPS! | ♥ 2 | Really neat concept, solid application of the theme. It was a lot of fun, the controls/physics were very sensitive and made the game pretty difficult. The sound effects were a hilarious surprise, especially the game over one. Nice work! |
| Oct 7 06:54:24 | 5m 48s | Parcel Panic | ♥ 1 | Great feel! Loved the art style and audio, really made for a cohesive experience. Trying to find the buildings while tracking the parcels was a bit difficult. Maybe the text on the buildings could have been higher contrast so they took less time to spot? Otherwise a really solid game, and definitely fits the theme. Nice work! |
| Oct 7 06:59:54 | 5m 30s | Could You Sit Still For Five Seconds? | ♥ 1 | Really unique idea, and creative use of the theme! Would have been nice to have some kind of visual feedback when you were dragging a puppy. Otherwise, fun little game! Art style was great. Nice work. |
| Oct 7 07:05:13 | 5m 19s | Monocykl | ♥ 1 | Really nice game given the time-window! I enjoyed the challenge of having to balance the unicycle across multiple axis, made the game sufficiently difficult. It was a lot of fun once I got the hang of it, nice work! |
| Oct 7 07:26:28 | 21m 15s | Should I Buy It ? | ♥ 1 | Really unique to do an idle game for a gamjam, the price fluctuation mechanic was a creative application of the theme. Would have been nice to have a bulk-buy option for buildings, otherwise really nice experience. Nice work! |
| Oct 7 08:02:49 | 36m 21s | Spellblade Legacy - (2D deckbuilding-lite adventure RPG) | ♥ 1 | Really unique and ambitious idea. Maybe it would have been easier to digest if areas and UI elements were drip-fed to the player instead of everything being thrown at them at once? It was pretty overwhelming. I really appreciated the depth of character progression and had a lot of fun once i got a hang of the game though. You've definitely got something here, really nice work. |
| Oct 7 08:18:08 | 15m 19s | Citride | ♥ 4 | Really liked the idea of having a time based character-swap mechanic. And it was intuitive enough to figure out what they all did without any explanation. The controls feel a bit sticky in my opinion. Like the minimum time between moves is a little to long or something? Otherwise, the Sound and art design were great and the levels were interesting. Nice work! |
| Oct 7 09:19:08 | 1h 01m | Unbalanced Brawl | ♥ 2 | Really cool game! I loved the art-style and audio. It was a little unintuitive to me on my first attempt and I lost hard. But had a lot of fun once I figured it out and managed to win. It would be nice to have a mouse-over tooltip for the shop that tells you what it is and how to sell cards. (I know it's mentioned on this page, but I don't think it is in game). Otherwise great game, really nice work. |
| Oct 7 10:06:51 | 47m 43s | TumbleArchery | ♥ 1 | The customization of the game was a really nice touch, allowing the player to set the game to the difficulty that suits them is a good idea. The jumping felt a bit stiff, and it would have been nice to see the player arrows. But the art and concept were good so it was fun overall and obviously fits the theme. Awesome work. |
| Oct 7 12:31:10 | 2h 24m | Shaky hex stax | ♥ 2 | Solid little game that fits the theme. The music, art style and premise really build a cohesive atmosphere. Real spooky, I love it. Overall, really nice experience. Good work! |
| Oct 8 12:49:43 | 24h 18m | The Troubled Train | ♥ 2 | I think this is one of the more fun multi-tasking games I've played. It was really clever to deactivate a module once you fail it, to give the player some breathing room and stop them snowballing through all five of their lives at once. All of the modules were simple and intuitive as well, except the unicorn. And while it IS explained in the instructions, some players will likely skip the text and go straight to the game. As an alternative, maybe the modules could have been explained the first time you encountered them in game? Otherwise, really good job. Good pacing on the difficulty ramp and that completely nailed the theme. |
| Oct 8 13:05:08 | 15m 25s | -Connection Interrupted- | ♥ 1 | You did a got job of introducing the player to mechanics in isolation before putting them together into puzzles. And the different types of nodes were all intuitive to use with no instruction. For the first few levels, I wasn't sure where the challenge element came from, but once the time-sensitive elements were introduced it all really came together. Really good job, creative take on the theme and the audio really fits the game's style. |
| Oct 9 01:42:10 | 12h 37m | Cryptomancer | ♥ 1 | Really creative idea, and the application of the theme is well done. I get that splitting the focus of the user was a deliberate design choice, but because the number's don't really stand out, it did feel like a challenge to get the information needed to make an informed decision on a trade. Otherwise, I was able to develop a strategy I liked and had a fun experience. So well done with the game! |
| Oct 9 11:53:56 | 10h 11m | Cosmic Time-Out | ♥ 1 | The mechanics were interesting, and the premise for the game was cute and unique. It felt like the physics got a bit strange when you were trying to move multiple blocks stuck together and I couldn't quite get them to go where I wanted them to (Mostly the curved and cylindrical blocks). Otherwise, music and graphics were great. The faces on the blocks were super cute, especially the face they make when you click them, which was a nice touch that made moving the pieces really satisfying. Overall, really fun game. Nice work! |
| Oct 9 12:08:40 | 14m 44s | Rolling Home | ♥ 2 | The textures and particle effects looked great. Giving the players control over tilting the world was an interesting way to let them move mutiple characters around at once using only a keyboard, and the fact that the tilt also determined the flow of the lava made moving your characters a double-edged sword, making for some interesting gameplay. Really fun little game, nice work! |
| Oct 9 12:24:04 | 15m 24s | RIFT | ♥ 1 | Really nice little platformer. I enjoyed the puzzles, and the devices were intuitive and interesting so it was a fun experience. At one point I got above the map, and was convinced there would be an easter egg because it felt like that kind of game. Like one where there's something hidden away somewhere for the astute player. I think to create that kind of atmosphere, even without the help of audio is an impressive feat. I saw in a previous comment you said you initially planned to add secrets back at the start of the game, so it sounds like that's exactly the vibe you were going for. Awesome job. |
| Oct 10 02:30:10 | 14h 06m | It's not a bug, it's a feature | ♥ 1 | Really creative idea. The visual effects were cool and fit the theme. The difficulty felt a little on the easy side (Played the whole game with Full hand of Dreed), but I understand there's only so much balancing you can do in the time provided. Overall really well done. The combat was fun and intuitive. Also, the house enemy was hilarious, really added to the vibe of the game. Nice work. |
| Oct 10 11:10:19 | 8h 40m | Moonpond | ♥ 1 | Nice idea and solid execution. The atmospheric audio was nice, and the sound effects from the mushrooms were funny and complimented the game's weird vibe. Overall, really good job. Fun game. |
| Oct 10 11:17:15 | 6m 56s | Wreckless Bar | ♥ 1 | Nice and simple game with a straightforward application of the theme. Taken out of context, the comfortable background art may have been relaxing, but it doesn't conflict with the fast-paced audio and mechanics, giving the game a very nice feel. You've done a nice job of balancing all the game elements to create a fun little experience. Nice work. |
| Oct 10 11:39:17 | 22m 02s | Emily vs the Unstable Creatures | ♥ 1 | Wow, the graphics and audio are great. The gameplay and upgrade system was super satisfying, and it's impressive you were able to pull this together in the time provided. I feel like the "unstable" elements (The glitch-laser and visuals on the enemy) weren't central components and didn't actually add that much to the game experience, so the connection to the theme could have been stronger in my opinion . Other than that, really fun game and amazing effort. Nice work! |
| Oct 12 07:26:48 | 43h 47m | DUNGEON ECONOMY | ♥ 1 | Really creative game, the balancing element through the inventory was well done. It was difficuly enough to be enjoyable, but not enough to be frustrating, overall a well balanced experience. It felt a little strange you were able to click the items regardless of distance but that's a minor comment. I completed the game and had fun doing it. Nice work. |
| Oct 12 10:15:11 | 2h 48m | Dimensional Degradation | ♥ 2 | The upgrades were fun and rewarding (Especially getting multiple movement based ones like the office chair and zooming around the levels), and the time limit for each level adds a risk/reward element in terms of how many upgrades you aim for. For me, the biggest problem was the lack of feedback to the player. The UI elements for health/stability were so small and out of the way I barely looked at them even though they contain necessary information. And there was no indication when I'd been hit, when I'd hit something or when my dash was ready to use again. Even something as small as my health flashing when I took damage, so I could see in my periphery that I'd been hit would have gone a long way in my opinion. Definitely more positives than negatives though and super impressive considering the time constraint. The movement was smooth, the gun looked great (With the player pumping after firing being a really nice touch) and the levels were bizarre and interesting. Really enjoyable experience and a creative take on the theme. With some post-jam polish, this would be a really cool game. Awesome job guys. |
| Oct 12 10:26:31 | 11m 20s | Rocket Goblin | ♥ 0 | Really simple idea, but great execution. The art and the audio are fantastic and cohesive which makes for a really nice experience. The controls are intuitive (Although I thought getting 100% speed was a good thing on my first run) and it was engaging having to manage risk/reward by going faster to score more points while risking not finding a barricade in time and self-destructing. It does get a bit repetitive after a while with so few mechanics, but overall really fun game. Nice work. |
| Oct 12 10:37:15 | 10m 44s | Outstanding Acaipowered Spaceship | ♥ 1 | Really fun game! Those sprites are amazing, and go with the music to create this cool aesthetic. The amount of content/polish on this is super impressive for a compo submission. The size of the enemy roster was impressive, and you had unique backgrounds for each level. Everything looked and felt great, from the health bars to the explosions. Unfortunately I don't have any constructive criticism for you, I feel like you nailed it. Nice job. |
