LD26 — Minimalism

Tower by DBRalir 2013-04-30T02:45:00

I didn't give a rating, but I'll just say - based on the graphics, this looks like something I'd really like to play. But, I'm on windows 7 so ah well. Good luck!

Buggers! by recursor 2013-04-30T01:01:00

A good game in general, but the audio was what I really liked here. It stood out in an amusing way.

Crystal Of Shadows by Serilyn 2013-04-30T01:48:00

A good game, but gott in himmel, the audio when they fire.

Chromatater by Jim Haslett 2013-04-30T00:54:00

Nice little platformer. The powerup abilities were well implemented in what I saw.

Ragdoll Fly by FaBrito 2013-04-30T00:15:00

An actual fun game. Trying to time the release just right to hit the platform was actually engaging. Well done.

Psycho German Shepherd by FlashRocks 2013-04-30T00:00:00

Interesting. I think this would have worked better if the scale was smaller - zoomed up the way it was in this game made the graphics suffer more than they needed to.

Escape by caasi 2013-04-30T02:44:00

Interesting game, though there's just one problem I have with it: I can't tell if the controls are for a top-down perspective, or 3D.

I think I understand what you're going for with the light and the lengths of time it gets 'darker'.

Golden Age by LandoSystems 2013-04-30T02:57:00

A straight up mix of 4s and 5s for you. This was an excellent game. Graphically smooth, conceptually neat, and actual solid gameplay. Well done on all counts!

The Epic Journey of the Narcoleptic Cyber Kitten: Floppy Disk Deluxe by theRestlessTaxidermists 2013-04-30T00:10:00

I couldn't get past level one. I liked the neon intro graphics. I get the impression level 1 was a matter of getting up on top of the slant and rolling down without using energy - but I could not pull it off.

SlapTheFish by hannesdelbeke 2013-04-30T00:23:00

Interesting. Mostly I notice that it was pretty hard to hit the fish even if I pressed A. Maybe that was the skill component?

3: Who needs 297 anyway? by 0beah 2013-04-30T01:36:00

I always like a game with a greco-roman theme. A little bit on the loose side with controls, but otherwise fun.

Captain Blowhole by EatYourBeef_Doug 2013-04-30T03:23:00

A great game for 48 hours. It immediately made me think of it as a game made by the Soviets, as if they still existed - a la the Archer universe.

Steve Can't Zen by DaanVanYperen 2013-04-30T01:22:00

Hahaha. Excellent. Loved the humor. Especially the deer. You had fun with this, clearly.

Grid Blaster by Alucard Jay 2013-04-30T00:34:00

Nice game. Actually felt rather fun to play. The sort of thing I'd like to see worked on with more time than LD allows - it may turn into something more broadly appealing. 1up potato is a nice touch. :)

QUEST SPACE by VictorGrunn 2013-04-30T02:22:00

Canyon,

I didn't even think that this wouldn't qualify as a game, actually! But to anyone who's thinking as much, let me say one word in my defense. Well, two words.

Slot machines.

They are games. Universally recognized as such, and for the vast majority of them (let's leave aside modern video slots) there is one aspect to them. You pull a lever, and you wait. That's that, you are done. There is literally nothing to these machines other than strict mechanical luck.

If slot machines are games - and unless wikipedia is lying to me (what are the odds?) they are - then so is Quest Space. Say it's too restricted, say it's too boring, say whatever, but at least grant me that.

Thanks, btw, to all of you who have played and left comments, positive or negative. This was a damn fun thing to make!

Line Quest by RandomSpark 2013-04-30T00:26:00

Excellent. Took me a moment to notice what you were actually doing here, but this was a brilliant idea. Loved the little opening animation. I love roguelikes in general, but I did not expect anything like this in this jam. Great job.

Moiety by aDFP 2013-04-29T23:57:00

Very excellent graphics. I admit, I didn't find the win condition - in fact I thought the goal was to collect those cloudy shadow-things at first. It has a nice mood to it, definitely one of those titles that gives you just enough 'game' to promote curiosity.

Controlled State by GameNacho 2013-04-30T00:58:00

I admit, the first thing that surprised me about the controlled state was having what looks like a nice LCD TV. Interesting little game.

Squares by KunoNoOni 2013-04-30T01:45:00

Fun game. One surprise - no squares from the bottom? Intentional?

FLIP by howieV (binarygirl) 2013-04-30T00:43:00

Excellent game. Fits the theme of the compo perfectly in my opinion. Actually challenging, the difficulty ramped up nicely, easy to learn without instruction. Good job!

Everyone Together by aeveis 2013-04-30T01:28:00

Extremely well done game. The concept not only fits the theme, but it actually seems like a very original and fun puzzle idea in its own right. Congrats!

D.RE.U by Pitʶik4 2013-04-30T00:17:00

Excellent. This was a brilliant way to deal with the minimalist concept. One level that shifts whenever you go through the 'portals' was just a superb idea - was a pleasure to see this one.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Weapon Cooldown by Oana 2013-08-26T02:31:00

Those normal enemies really remind me of the Scarlet Witch's headgear. And hey, you made an actual game and that's better than I did. Good work.

Universe Decade Tycoon by Evilion 2013-08-26T02:37:00

Goddamn, dude. This is a creative game. And it fits the theme at the same time. I'm actually jealous! Great work.

Ochre by ben 2013-08-26T02:55:00

An unusual game. Strangely pretty. I couldn't get into it so much - the moving around aspect felt awkward. But I liked the animation and what I think the concept was moving towards.

Gas and Air! by tripleVisionGames 2013-08-26T01:46:00

Great music, gorgeous graphics. Really nice style to it, and it's fun too.

Detective Awesomepants by xel 2013-08-26T02:42:00

Excellent job, one of the most creative and theme-focused I've seen so far.

Graveyard Shift by Kortuga 2013-08-26T03:24:00

Really impressed with the graphics on this one. I really like the style, like Minecraft Plus.

1010 Runner by Obscuremoon 2013-08-26T02:33:00

Giving me a kind of Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job vibe with this one.

Leveling on borrowed time by Xatulu 2013-08-26T02:25:00

Interesting game! WASD and space is a little bit awkward feeling, but otherwise nice attempt.

10 Seconds to Save the Kingdom by VictorGrunn 2013-08-26T02:49:00

Yeah, the 10 seconds - I had planned the game around the theme, but didn't get to implement it. Thanks for the feedback all, I'll check out the bugs.

10 Seconds to Save the Kingdom by VictorGrunn 2013-08-26T04:28:00

Hey, thanks. And here I was wondering if that was too small for anyone to notice. :)

I plan on working on this one post-LD. I like the idea, I just spent so much time fretting over art and experimenting with programming that the actual 'game' got maybe 4 hours of focus. Oops. Well, LD is great for educating people where they need to focus.

10 Seconds to Save the Kingdom by VictorGrunn 2013-08-26T18:31:00

Falcon - on the bright side, the actual game has little to it! But the web link works fine for me and others. Not sure what's up there. :(

I'm still trying to figure out this 'hang' and lag talk. It seems to be working fine on my end, but I'll check it out.

10 Seconds to Save the Kingdom by VictorGrunn 2013-08-26T18:44:00

Alright, it looks like the 'lag' thing was possibly a hosting artifact. It's up on Newgrounds now. Hopefully this solves that problem.

Rebound Recon by TheHermit 2013-08-26T03:14:00

Strange game. I actually had trouble understanding what to do even with looking at the instructions. Nice music in the back, and nice interface overall.

Space-Time Adventure by OldPeculier 2013-08-26T03:06:00

Interesting concept. Took me a moment to figure out just how to play it - a bit awkward in the interface, but still a solid game for LD.

YorkTime by Steve | tacospice 2013-08-26T03:21:00

Strange game, but I liked the graphics. Definitely had a nice mood to it.

Ten Second Takeoff by Taylor 2013-08-26T03:12:00

Nice game, and in particularly nice puzzles that are reasonable but still challenging to do within the 10 second limit.

The Lonely Sentry by namrog84 2013-08-26T03:26:00

Nice game. Good, responsive controls, well laid out levels.

LABYRINTH10 by Nizan 2013-08-26T03:09:00

I remember there's a name for this kind of game, but I can't recall it offhand. Sort of like operation? Either way, nice and slickly executed - well done.

Provider by Canyon 2013-08-26T02:28:00

A little abstract, but still good. I like the pixel art on this one and the general concept.

Space Demolition by Suese by Suese 2013-08-26T03:28:00

Really slickly done. Great graphics, fun gameplay. Great job.
