LD44 — Your life is currency

Inflate Me to the Moon by DDRKirbyISQ 2019-04-30T02:42:51Z

Haven't smiled at much in a long time, really great ideas put into one game. My only problem is lack of challenge and intro seemed too long and mundane but the mood, artstyle and music are worth it.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Uballto by Omiya Games 2019-10-13T09:25:30Z

Super fun game to play. I loved especially the music, it was really fitting.

A_semblance by D1gital Cuts 2019-10-08T21:56:23Z

I've waited to play this game ever since I saw first gameplay previews! Love how fluid all the animations are, and the mood of the game is fantastic. I have to try using Godot for myself.

Absorb by dimlight 2019-10-13T10:43:05Z

Mechanics are really fine, I loved especially the first level where I had to figure out myself on the map. Boss fights were also good.

Wobbly Scraps by Caberu 2019-10-13T09:58:01Z

Really fun game, with cool graphics and music. Theme were implemented really well

Return The Stars by BanJaxe 2019-10-09T18:13:53Z

The visuals and sounds were amazing, it's a shame that getting start won't give you additionals mechanics other that arrows which shows you directions for last missing ones (althought I was really happy with them). The gameplay becomes a little boring at the end.

You Broke the Game by OlegKlishin 2019-10-14T19:27:09Z

It's hard to find as polished game as this one. Graphics and physics in this platformer were both amazing. Kudos!

Zero by omercanbalandi 2020-04-24T18:44:18Z

short and fun. I have special place in my heart for pico8 games. The only thing that I would add to the game is music

Seven Nights by bigwhiteshogun 2020-04-25T10:48:37Z

@boyturnedrobot @nurk there was no time for tutorial, but it's certainly a thing we will add in post-jam expanded version of the game

@welliton thanks for the exhausting feedback. There's no upgrade for boots. Battle system is not the main point of the game, that's why it may seem clunky. Red totem was cut-off in the end, but we forgot to update the item description. It brings a big smile to my face to hear questions like these about the game. It means our entry was enjoyable enough to pay attention to details

@g-a-gamestudio I can understand frustration from trying to figure out recipes yourself. I was hesitant about this part of the game as well. We didn't have enough time to think about smart way to give player recipes, or guide him about potential ingredients combinations. We were afraid that giving too guidance would kill fun from playing and figuring out stuff yourself.

All Systems Grow [LD46: KEEP IT ALIVE] by itsandyjones 2020-04-21T21:54:58Z

Had a real fun playing this one. I really like laser mechanics. Solid entry :ok_hand:

The only thing I can complain is that it's not really fitting the theme.

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-04-27T17:13:21Z

wow what a ride! Awesome game built on top of really fun mechanic, thanks for the game. As usual great artstyle

Rodolf by Nurk 2020-04-25T11:29:17Z

I enjoyed a specific cartoony style that your graphic has. I'm curious to see how the player sprite could've looked in isometric view (bird view makes it makes it hard to create a interesting sprite). For a first jam entry it's really solid, next time I would work towards introducing new elments on next days/nights, as I kept hiding in a garden each night which made me safe but made gameplay a little boring.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Unscripted by Iluvatar 2020-10-08T10:06:25Z

Haven't played any click&play game in ages! It took me time to remember that in that type of game you can combine items in your inventory. That was my only moment when I was stuck, after that it went smoothly. I really dig atmosphere and visuals in your game.

Creed by dimlight 2020-10-11T16:11:51Z

First levels are quite easy and straightforward and becuase of that I missed the message about restarting the level with `r` key. Becuase of that in 4th and 5th levels I needed to restart the whole game. Only after few tried I listened to all message and discovered such option. I would appreciate if the controls would be explained in the ld page. But other than this small detiail it's a really solid entry. Time reverse mechanic works briliantly!

Time Wizards by Sininenblue 2020-10-07T19:47:11Z

Not sure if that was intended but the whole game can be completed by wall jumping through the pit, avoiding most archers. Other than that, it's a solid entry. Simple and fun. I really enjoyed the effect of time reverse when a character dies.

Deep Winter by Copito 2020-10-07T20:03:58Z

The monsters and main character sprite are top-notch! Some ambient music and a few sound effects would surely improve the experience, but even without them I had fun play.

Clone Arena by GrizzliusMaximus 2020-10-07T20:14:13Z

I love how you managed to fit the theme in the game. The only thing that it lackes is some kind of the endgoal, but it's still super fun to play and shoot eveything that spawns.

This Will Be My Cycle by don-tnowe 2020-10-07T18:59:02Z

Cool idea, I really enjoyed building my own level, and playing to beat my own record. Wish that the main character would be more responsive, as some jumps were realy hard. He is really "floaty" which isn't necessary a bad thing, but it makes certain moves really challenging.

Depth Delver by superpokeunicorn 2025-04-13T17:27:52Z

The game was so pleasant and fun that I wanted a second run, to get all the coins  all.png

Very cohesive experience, the graphics, music, player movement everything plays together in such a harmony. I really liked that coins/key was remembered when player respawned. The bat enemies were a fun challenge. Good job!

Dwarvenshaft by MateusBoga 2025-04-15T21:59:27Z

Reached layer 7 and then I couldn't find iron to progress further. After a while I figured out that it's best to place holes to the next layer next to each other and somewhere near the level bounds to make them easier to find, otherwise it's a bit frustrating for newly recruited dwarves to reach the current deepest layer. Music, art are perfectly in-sync with the game mood. The game started to get boring after some time, but still for a gamejam entry it's really remarkable what you've managed to build.

Gemsweeper by Defrag 2025-04-15T20:14:57Z

Ok, this one is really addicting game, I haven't expected one like that. I wish there was some music in the background, but at least the game has really fitting sound effects. Core game-loop is top, really nothing to complain about. I managed to reach 12th cave but got less score, and I prefer to share my score when it was the highest. Screenshot 2025-04-15 215846.png

The Scourge from the Deep by Wuppos 2025-04-13T22:04:25Z

Managed to beat the game on the first run in above 2 minutes, and during the second run under 2 minutes. Simple and quick game, the boss was challenging not too easy and not too difficult. I won't complain about the music, I always admire people who make music, art and code at the same time. I'm just a humble programmer and I owe a big one to my team mates during every game jam. Kudos for making this all on your own!

One more thing about the music - while it didn't fit the mood, it was still a nice thing to play in the background, it didn't get boring or anything during my playthrough. That's a good starting point

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-15T19:52:23Z

There's minor bug that when the player jumps sometimes for a split second a fall animation plays. Other than that I haven't encountered any issues. I wish the player controls were slightly more fluid, but for a first time action-platform game (If I understood the description correctly) it wasn't really bad.

The backgrounds and tileset could be more attractive but the main heroine and the little girl that you're rescuing sprites are really pretty. Given that you've made all the code, graphics and music it's an amazing job and you can be proud of Yourself!

Cave Escape by Flinge 2025-04-09T16:49:51Z

Reached -458280 I really like how many different platforms are there. The music doesn't get boring and both enemies and powerups are fun addition to the jumping expierience

Echo Depths by Slyz 2025-04-12T22:30:18Z

Got a weird issue on level 6-2, I saw a gun but without player and I couldn't progress (music was playing but the game didn't respond to any input). After I refreshed the page I got no high scores for the levels that I completed :(

Still, I manage to choose level 6 from the beginning and complete the whole game, so it's not a big deal. It would be nice if you save them between page loads. Music was lovely (the best part of the game for me) and the amount of levels are simply amazing for such a short period of time that LudumDare gives.

I think that I'm in a minority but I wasn't super happy with the character control, the gravity was too strong and movement too sensitive for a game with insta-dead mechanic like spikes. Many falls into the spikes seemed unfair because of that. Don't worry about it too much though, the game is still really well-made and you can be proud of yourselves.

Echo Depths by Slyz 2025-04-13T10:39:45Z

Just saving the highscore it in the browser would be enough, using Unity [PlayerPrefs](https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.0/Documentation/ScriptReference/PlayerPrefs.html) should do the trick. Don't be too harsh about the movement, I know that it's really hard to balance what to focus on during the gamejam. Luckily the levels are short so even with frequent deaths it's easy to just keep playing

Where it Ends by cherrybcake 2025-04-15T19:40:34Z

I have special place in my heart for pico-8 entries even though that's not my engine of choice. Your game is simple and fun. The text appearing on the screen was an interesting addition although I must confess I haven't reached the end of the Monologue. It took me time to figure out you can hold "up" to control the fall velocity, for couples of my initial runs I just fell without it  Screenshot 2025-04-15 213911.png

Where it Ends by cherrybcake 2025-04-15T20:16:38Z

@cherrybcake That's ok, no worries. Sometimes I like to start playing LudumDare entries without reading the manual and try to figure out controls on my own

Hooked by echerry 2026-04-28T20:31:27Z

I got really hooked up on your game ;) Jokes aside when I turned your game on I haven't even read the description but I immediately caught what the game is about. Really cool concept and well executed

System Invader by heat 2026-04-27T21:25:08Z

Got to 90%, I feel it's a bit too random for my taste (maybe that's the charm of that genre) but I still had a lot of fun and played couple times to try and figure out the gameplay loop. For a one-man job it's really impressive title!
