LD30 — Connected Worlds

A Temple Of Two Worlds by Volute 2014-08-28T16:16:00

We have been playing a bunch of games and this the first one we have come across that has a gripping story line along with a nice Pokemon like pixel art style and fitting music as well.

Death Connected by 01rafael 2014-08-27T13:04:00

The game is a solid entry for the short amount of time, but the lack of innovation is what let the game down for me and also the fact that there was no sound or music which I know you have stated it will be added later but I have to judge the game on how it is now.

ENTANGLEMENT by mtrc 2014-08-28T13:29:00

Awesome game! Great mechanic, cool art style and fun level design.

A Tale of Two Megacities by GAFBlizzard 2014-08-28T15:04:00

This is a solid entry for the short amount of development time. The objectives of the game were a bit unclear, the graphics and audio were ok additions to the game but the voice over was a nice touch.

ConnectTheWorlds by mrexcessive 2014-08-29T06:31:00

The sound effects were a bit annoying in the game but the game was fun and it had a hook to it even though it was so simple it kept me coming back for more. The graphics need some more work as does the sound but overall it's a good game.

Terminal by Menesetsu 2014-08-30T15:30:00

Quite an intriguing and addictive game. I could imagine Terminal being even more immersive once there is audio added. This a great entry to a modernised version of a text based adventure.

Die in another world by Posva 2014-08-25T11:57:00

Game looks really cool. Interesting mechanic and varied block types.

Incantation by Danman9914 2014-08-29T06:45:00

Incantation definitely shows off the fact that a fairly large team has worked on it as the visuals, sound, music and mechanics are top notch here.

Eye scape Escape the Eye by danidre14 2014-08-28T15:17:00

Hey man! This game has a really sweet beat, but we all know that music isn't the only element that makes a game. This is a solid entry though, the idea could be fleshed out and the art could use more polish, but at the end of the day it is still a decent game.

Glue The World by shimage 2014-08-29T06:08:00

Cool game and unique idea, the aesthetics could use some polishing but in the short amount of development time this is a great concept.

Worlds Collide by Rage Paint 2014-08-29T06:17:00

This game reminds me of the first phase that you had to go through in Spore. The idea itself isn't the most unique but I do quite like the colourful aesthetics of the game. This is a great first entry to Ludum dare, there is something weirdly satisfying about fusing with other objects and growing in order to be able to fuse with larger objects that you couldn't fuse with before.

Jet Runner by Pavel 2014-08-27T14:14:00

I feel like the theme of connected worlds could have been used better it just seems like more about the level progression than actually being built into the design of the game itself. Nevertheless it was a fun game to play.

Space Trade Inc. by Maxxim 2014-08-30T15:05:00

Space Trade Inc. is a nice little passive game. There is not a whole lot of content and it's not the most innovative idea out there. But, the game has a really nice soothing soundtrack which complements the passive game play and the 3D voxel art graphics are a nice touch.

Astral Experience by Beard 2014-08-28T14:35:00

This is definitely an early prototype build, but a lot of cool design elements can be put into the game and a nice visual art with some atmospheric sound and music could take this idea a long way.

Kid Got Lost by PaperboxStudios 2014-08-27T13:28:00

Thanks for all the great comments guys! We understand that some people have commented on the fact that transitioning back from the other dimension takes a while but this was an intentional design decision which we had made as we did want our game to pose a challenge to our players.

Kid Got Lost by PaperboxStudios 2014-08-28T13:04:00

@jackyjjc
Thanks for the feedback! If you have your sound on, you will notice that you can hear the ghosts when they are right above you ;)

Kid Got Lost by PaperboxStudios 2014-08-30T04:25:00

Thanks to everyone who played and left feedback!

@mrexcessive
You will not be able to escape the ghosts unless you stop using the second sight to run past, unless you can outrun them of course :)

@Rage Paint
The teleport "traps" were intentionally designed to have a risk with use. They can potentially save you when you are cornered, but are not a guarantee.

Get it out of here! by concalf 2014-08-27T13:16:00

When I first began playing the game it was actually quite fun, but it eventually wore off, the idea and the concept behind the game is interesting though.

Parallel Worlds by Cliff Lee CL 2014-08-28T13:55:00

Would have loved to have seen some more levels, it was a short yet enjoyable game. Nice colourful art style and a unique concept.

cross World by gnuwind 2014-08-27T14:22:00

It is definitely a fun little game to play, although it's a generic endless runner game at its core I do like how you implemented the connected world theme within the game. I have found a bug where if you hold both Z and X down you can pass through both pink and blue at the same time. But for a 48 hour submission this is a good game.

Let's be friends! (But some will die) by RFMTeam 2014-08-27T14:01:00

This game is nice a little play with cute visuals and sound effects, like the way you guys integrated the theme of connected worlds while still managing to keep the game fun and humorous.

DrOpLeTs by nicso 2014-08-25T13:08:00

Water looks cool!

LD33 — You are the Monster

Panda Monium by AlexFili 2015-09-05T12:22:00

Great Music! Overall the game wasn't anything spectacular though.

Beautiful Winter by ManuSaiz 2015-09-05T12:44:00

Movement is quite slow, but great mood and creepy setting. Not sure entirely what was going on though, the game wasn't quite clear on that.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Agent Hooker by Phoenix849 2015-12-15T12:01:00

Nice! looks amazing and has a great mechanic

What they think by Cachito 2015-12-15T12:24:00

Interesting, nice use of the growing theme.

Mutant Veggie Arena by Levi D. Smith 2015-12-22T01:54:00

OOH! Hands down one of the most entertaining entries I've played this Jam. I just wish you could've held down the button to shoot. Better than The Witcher 3.

Exponential Cris(m)is by hitchh1k3r 2015-12-20T08:36:00

Interesting, I like that it has player driven content. A lot of features have been included in a short time period, very impressive!

Plants Attack by Luxorix 2015-12-22T01:38:00

Nice game. Love the art & animations. The difficulty progression is well done. Cool sound effects.

Forest growth by chabuduo 2015-12-15T12:29:00

Fun! Played it to the end

Track Jumper by BobmooJ 2015-12-20T07:35:00

Challenging! I like the camera rotation. More variety in the music would have been nice.

The King is Dead by Capitals 2015-12-20T07:41:00

I won in 115 turns. One of my favourite games so far, very unique idea, with a nice level of complexity.

Legend of Heurgh by Nichii 2015-12-22T02:06:00

This game probably has one of the best soundtracks I've heard this Ludum Dare. Love the pixel art sprites and animations. Can't wait for GOTY edition.

Flow by thristhart 2015-12-15T12:33:00

I really like the music, makes the mood of the game very relaxing. Nice to just sit and watch it go. Changing to night time is another great mood setter.

Galbanic Murdered by Sokar92 2015-12-20T09:39:00

Animation was good, but the controls were a bit tricky, especially the jump delay. The combos add variety, but they are hard to remember.

Office Fireman by chrissou 2015-12-20T08:41:00

I think the theme was a little weak, and being able to only turn in one direction was quite frustrating. Apart from that, the game has cool mechanics such as being able to put out fires and various pickups. Having a supply level keeps you on your toes, making sure you complete the level in time.

Grow Stuff by kitcar2000 2015-12-20T07:52:00

Was confused a bit by having to water the top of the plant, but apart from that I enjoyed the game. The "weight" mechanic is well done, makes you need to balance out your water need and jump height

The Rap Game by Rocketship 2015-12-20T08:01:00

Tight graphics and music, really contributed to the quality of the game. Cards were initially a bit confusing, but you get the hang of it as you play.

Inner Circle by ruscoe 2015-12-20T07:56:00

I really like this, building up your combo is awesome once you hit the peak. It seems a bit harsh when the next colour is on the bottom, as you lose a lot of momentum. I understand that this is more due to the theme though. Hopefully if you decide to extend this, you address it.

Panball by gillenew 2015-12-20T09:35:00

Awesome use of the theme! I like how you snuck the growing in there as well. Music was nice and smooth, I especially like the menu music. Game mechanics are tight and offer a great gameplay experience. Well done!

Bitrun by Devark 2015-12-19T07:25:00

Really polished game. Has nice sound effects. Cute little sprites. Addictive gameplay.

Battle Rose by goodbadokay 2015-12-16T06:20:00

Great overall game. Visuals look nice, plays well, and sounds great.

What the PUCK? by sbot1101 2015-12-20T08:32:00

Very fun, I like the pickups mechanic, they improve the game pacing.

Upright by BoltKey 2015-12-15T12:21:00

I love it. The little messages give so much character to the game. Levels are nice and tricky.

Ninja Run by DarthThomas 2015-12-22T01:16:00

Quite an average game. Very basic concept & unoriginal idea.

Survive the Moco by Geck0 2015-12-22T01:26:00

This was an extremely difficult game. The idea was interesting, but lacked the execution. Don't think this is the kind of game that would work with 2 button controls.

Aloft by synthsmitty 2015-12-16T05:47:00

Game looks good and plays well. Nothing is unique in terms of mechanics.

Seven Weeks of Cat Monarchy by Fathom 2015-12-20T08:27:00

Excellent art and writing. Hilarious jokes with a lot of depth provided by the advisors.

DeepHunt:Procedural gen. survival by Saivan 2015-12-20T09:31:00

Nice music and artstyle. The sonar takes this away from a more generic growing game, as you do not always know what is coming up ahead. It was a little hard to tell the collectibles apart from the normal obstacles, but otherwise a really nice entry!

Junior Executive Assistant by AdWARDS 2015-12-16T04:47:00

Game looks great, sounds great, and love the setting.

American Excess by lectric.monk 2015-12-16T05:14:00

Hilarious game. Great music. Art work is nice and vibrant.

Organ-izer by The Merge Conflicts 2015-12-19T07:36:00

Great entry. Nice track. Love the sound effects. Cool visuals. Fun little game overall :)

Chompatron Saves The World by Tim Ruswick 2015-12-16T05:57:00

Fun little beat em up. Love the humor. It eventually got a bit grindy. Good jam game overall.

Growing Beat by David Cookie 2015-12-20T07:46:00

Music was nice, but didn't really fit the gameplay style. Awesome entry for 5 hours though!

GURU by TomenLuca 2015-12-16T06:25:00

Better than Hearthstone.
