Point'n'click adventure... now I haven't seen one of these in a long time.
Although I'm not sure how it fits the monster theme, this game is FREAKING AMAZING. I wish there was a full version of it. Got all 3 endings and want more!
Quick guide for people who are struggling with this.
How to repair the hoverbike. Listen to the radio a few times until you hear DIY instructions on repairing a hoverbike. After that you'll get a new dialog option with Irma, which will make her repair the hoverbike.
How to get ending #1. Get the VR headset. Try to leave on hoverbike.
How to get ending #2. Get the VR headset. Take the red data jar from Irma, plug it into the machine and use the console.
How to get ending #3. DO NOT get the VR headset, ignore the door in the beginning completely. Leave on hoverbike.
The camera bugs are insane, but the game itself is very fun. The graphics are basic, but cute, and the music is catchy. The game isn't really innovative, but definitely fun to play.
I didn't really like the controls and the way all characters move like they're on ice, I found it frustrating, but overall I don't think it was a bad decision.
The graphics and music are very nice, but I found the gameplay to be way too hard and unengaging. The only way I found to predict the soldiers coming is by sound, and avoiding them requires near-perfect reaction.
Good graphics, fun to play. I found the multi-stage gameplay structure pretty interesting. Wish there were more features!
An interesting strategy game, although I wish there were more gameplay features to it, like more than 1 enemy or multiple zombie types. Graphics could use some work, but overall I thought it was pretty fun.
Music is great, but I can't see how the game fits the theme. Nonetheless, it's an interesting concept, although there isn't much interactivity. Graphics could definitely use more work.
P.S. Why's dubstep labeled as "Noise"?
Great atmosphere and graphics, although the gameplay could use more polish.
Although the game is really easy, it's very fun to play. Graphics, sound and music are superb and overall this is a great fun game. Would love to play it on my phone.
I wish there was some sort of upgrades and/or rewards system to give the player more reasons to continue playing.
Good graphics, but the music doesn't really fit the game in my opinion. Also it would be great if there was some sort of map or other tool to ease navigation around the dungeon.
"Goat Simulator 2D", where you crash yourself into everything to gain score. The graphics are very well done, but the game lacks any purpose, the controls feel clunky and it's just not really fun to cause mayhem. Lack of music during the gameplay hurts the mood, and the game could use a few more sound effects to make the destruction feel good. Lack of real danger other than falling through the floor if you go back a few inches makes the gameplay less engaging than it could be.
Overall I think this is a good template for a great game, but it still needs lots and lots of work.
Creepy atmosphere, but not very fun to play. I wish more things happened in the game. The graphics are basic, but get the job done.
Overall I think it's an interesting idea that needs more work.
The idea is, while not being really innovative, is fun. What hurts the gameplay is a poor implementation of collisions, where player gets stuck in the walls all the time. For an action game like this, it really hurts the fun factor.
The graphics are nice, although the rooms could use a little bit of color. The lack of sound makes the game feel really unfinished, you should use some sort of sound generator like Bfxr next time to add at least some placeholder sounds.
Overall, keep working the game and someday it might become a very fun Zelda clone!
A pretty fun idea for a 1-button game, that would work great on mobile devices. The problem is, there is hardly any gameplay in it and it gets old pretty quickly. I wish there were more ways to interact with game or at least something different actually happened from time to time during the gameplay.
What I really liked about this game is the theme. The graphics and music add to it, making me feel like I'm playing a game on something like Atari 2600, but with music, which is actually not bad, but a little repetitive.
Fun little RPG / Strategy game. Combat isn't very deep and there's barely any story, but the game is done pretty well.
Now this is a strange one. It made me laugh and feel creepy at the same time.
The graphics are superb, the theme is amazing, the gameplay is basic, but fun. I really liked how everything you touch with fire instantly explodes. Sound effects are nice, and the lack of music actually adds to the mood of the game.
I kinda wish there was more gameplay to it, like a scoring system or something, but it's still a good 2-minute experience.
This is a pretty fun game. I liked how trees catch fire and sound effects sound almost musical. A bit repetitive, but with a bit of polish could be a very good game.
This game plays like a not so great copy of Hotline Miami. Aiming controls are extremely clunky, but the gameplay overall is very easy. The text was presented in an interesting and unique way. I found the lighting to be a little crazy, but in the end the graphics were decent.
Although the game doesn't really fit the theme, it's actually pretty fun to play. Hopping from planet to planet in search of your objective feels great. The tutorial could definitely be improved, but in the end I think it's a fun game.
x64 build didn't work for me, but I managed to run the x86 one.
I really liked watch-looking UI. The controls were a bit clunky, and pointing the gun to the left looked odd. The rocket jump thing wasn't communicated well in the game, making it a bit frustrating.
Overall I thought the graphics were nice, but the gameplay could use some work. And even after completing the game I still don't think the game fits the theme too well.
An interesting puzzle game, but the difficulty is tuned to be way too hard. You need to be absolutely perfect in order to just beat the level.
I'd recommened lowering the difficulty and creating a rating system for each level, rewarding for doing well, and not punishing for not doing absolutely perfect.
The graphics are decent, and the theme is pretty fun and innovative. I think that with some more work done it might be a fun game.
Very fun strategy game. Although the graphics could be improved, the gameplay is original and fun. Hope this will become a full-blown game!
Not much of a game, but a very emotional experience. The ending for interesting, [SPOILER ALERT] I liked how the screen stayed black for awhile and then the game just close itself. [SPOILER ENDS].
This is one of these game that really justifies calling video games an art form. Not fun, but moving.
The chat simulation was one of the best features I ever saw in a Ludum Dare game. 5/5, would blame my team again.
The game lacks proper tutorial, the only way I could find how to spawn a bomb is from reading the comments. It gets very laggy when there are multiple goons. There were multiple graphics bugs, where there appeared multiple bombs when I pressed "B", including some below the goons.
There's barely any gameplay in it, the graphics are very basic, and the whole "acid" trip is just a lazy pixel screen fixer, which you can easily watch on YouTube and save yourself some time playing this game.
An extremely original and innovative puzzle game! Very engaging and fun to play. Wish there were more levels.
You should really consider making this into a full-blown game.
P.S. By the way, don't forget to add link to the source! It's required by Compo's rules.
While the concept is very original and sounds fun on paper, in reality the lack of danger makes the process of collecting candies pretty boring.
Graphics are cute and add to the mood. Upgrades are pretty fun, but nothing crazy. I wish there was some value in eating candies instead of trading them (stats increase?). The candy stashing sound is weird, loud and scary. The game lacks any kind of music, which is a shame.
Overall, I think this idea has a LOT of potential and I would love to see it developed into a full-blown game someday.
The amount of blood in this game is absolutely insane. The gameplay is basic, but the graphics are really good. I really liked how blood covers your windshield and gets cleaned from time to time.
Doesn't really fit the theme (you're not really acting like a monster), but the gameplay is pretty fun. The graphics could have been better, especially for a Jam game. The sound effects were good, but the music felt like it was scratching my brain.
The flashlight thing is pretty neat though, improves the mood a lot.
Fun and original game, although it could use a better tutorial.
An extremely funny over-the-top game. The gameplay and graphics are pretty good as well.
Not much of a game, but an interesting and innovative concept. I really wish there was more gameplay in it, as I feel this could be a very fun game.
Bizarre game, but pretty fun to play. I wish there were more gameplay to it though.
The game is pretty complicated, but polished and well done. I liked the art and the pretty innovative gameplay.
Looks very pretty, but the gameplay is unfortunately rather basic. Wish there was more to it. The sound effects are great, and the music is well done.
Doesn't work even after restarts :(
Very funny game, the music and graphics are really nice. The gameplay is puzzle-ish and suprisingly fun.
The thing that needs more work the most is the UI. It's a bit clunky and some sort of map would be very useful, as it's exremely easy to get lost, especially in the later stages.
Not much of a game, seems more like a tech demo of some kind. Graphics look... interesting, but there's not much to play here.
A weird mix of date sim and RPG. Graphic style is unique, the story is kinda interesting, but the gameplay is average.
Shameless, but funny game.
The music is creepy, and I'm not sure why bunnies are running towards fire. Nonetheless, the game is pretty challenging and fun.
Superb game, everything is great about it.
Funny game, although the gameplay lacks any challenge or danger. The graphics are minimalistic, but decent. Overall a decent entry.
Interesting concept. Too bad it only gets fun towards the end, but I guess it's the nature of the idea. Lack of sound effects really breaks the mood.
The Hulk puzzle game I never knew I wanted. Great mechanic, fun gameplay.
