Apr 5 17:44:53 Granting Immortality ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for playtesting! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203256
Apr 5 17:45:35 42s My Story ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for playtesting! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203098
Apr 5 17:46:07 32s Nighty Night, Nosferatu ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for playtesting! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203097
Apr 6 13:56:13 20h 10m Un-Rooted ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for playtesting! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203075 Solid game, I particularly enjoyed that you got *an entire character creator in*. Not sure if the amusing "ragdoll bodies under floaty heads" movement was an intentional design aesthetic or a happy accident of jam timelines but it was entertaining.
Apr 6 14:00:02 3m 49s Frame Buster ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for playtesting! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203095 Pay2Win but also the act of streaming puts you at a disadvantage! Very interesting take on the theme, and super-innovative termination condition. This is exactly the kind of weird, innovative, experimental, unexpected thing that makes me love Ludum Dare.
Apr 6 14:04:50 4m 48s Cave companion ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203096 The atmosphere was lovely and I enjoyed the "work with your friend" approach. As we talked about, I loved the attempt at having the golem perform complex actions, I only wished they were better communicated to the player especially when happening off-screen. It occurs to me that a solution I've seen in other games (like Sims) is to have something like a thought-bubble with a symbol that would indicate what the golem is up to, and it might be ok to have something like that on screen-edge to imply that even when they're out of view you can tell what they're doing.
Apr 6 14:11:22 6m 32s Extremely Exteme Sports ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203094 Fantastic fun! Solid multiplayer SkiFree implementation, you got character customization in, it was clearly a lot of fun as a stream/play with chat game. It's got a nice tight loop so it's usually not too long a wait when you're out before the next round. Good implementation of skiing basics. Couple of hitboxes were maybe not quite forgiving enough but overall felt good. One player noted that ping time to the server caused an issue for them, so it would be good to look into that. I would love an option to swap left/right, as my brain really wanted the classic controls relative to the skier's facing rather than relative to the camera.
Apr 6 14:16:10 4m 48s Game About Trying to Gain More Time In A Time Cave ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203081 I enjoyed this take on a puzzle platformer. Interestingly slightly different movement, the hidden-but-obvious shinies were fun to hunt. Hunt-the-gems for warp was an interesting approach that is either brilliant or doesn't work out quite right and I'm not sure which. It might make it "the warps are harder to get to for exactly the people who need them most", or it might make it "decide if you want to focus on platforming or puzzling" and I'm still not sure which it is. I think you mixed puzzle gems and harder-platforming gems so the answer is unfortunately a bit of a muddle that pushes it more to the hard for the people who need it end. I definitely enjoyed playing (and hunting gems).
Apr 6 14:20:23 4m 13s Battery Low ♥ 5 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203084 Lovely lonely exploration/puzzle. I liked, but was occasionally frustrated by, the rover's varying choices of turn radius. It played well knowing I could retry until I solved the puzzle, but I actually feel like the game would lend itself really well to a procgen map, even if it's just look at the radar map and try to plan out a course and then see how well you do. Some really nice bits of subtle polish that really help sell the experience.
Apr 6 14:31:03 10m 40s Protect The Light ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203076 I enjoyed the concept quite a bit. The controls (particularly click to aim, never my favorite) were a little fiddly at times, especially when trying to position the light and fight in the other direction at the same time. Which is also interesting challenge, but also sometimes frustrating "hard to get the game to do what I think I'm going to tell it to do". My main suggestion for improvement would be better telegraphing of the "shoot through the light" power. Enemy health was also maybe a little high throughout, especially the boss. Overall an enjoyable experience.
Apr 6 14:34:42 3m 39s Hex'd ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203083 Nice take on a platformer. "slimes can't tell time" was an interesting mechanic, although I'm not sure I ultimately liked its effect on the game. I'd really have to try again without the timer bug to be sure, though, I suspect that dominated my reaction. As discussed, there was an issue where the timer didn't reset when you fell into a pit, which made those effectively cost you two hearts a lot of the time, in a frustrating way.
Apr 6 14:37:21 2m 39s You Are A Bomb ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203079 Great little twist on classic arcade game style. I had a great time with this one. Interesting take on the theme. I liked the effect that as your platform shrank things in some ways became easier, but you did also approach your inevitable end.
Apr 6 14:40:21 3m 00s Taoreta Mura ♥ 0 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203077 You said your goal was to learn to make a good-looking game and boy did you nail that! It also plays solidly and sounds good, overall excellent work. I enjoyed the dancing in the intro as well. My big "I wish this had gotten in" is that archers currently spawn looking like swordsmen rather than archers, which is jarring and makes it harder to plan your moves. I'm a little surprised you've opted out of rating for graphics?
Apr 6 14:46:15 5m 54s Elephant In The Room ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203080 Super-innovative approach. It's probably unlosable if you don't get bored, but it's really fun to play around with for a little while and see what happens.
Apr 6 14:52:34 6m 19s Re: Placement ♥ 4 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1447203085 I enjoyed the concept. I found I struggled a lot to find the matching shapes between the bottoms of the parts and the circuit boards. Half the times when I thought I had the right part I didn't at all, and I ultimately found "I know which way is up, grab a random part and spin it through the upright orientations until I can mash something in like a dumb monkey" to be the most effective approach. It's not *bad*, it's just not obvious *enough*. Or at least for me the difficulty of shape-matching scaled way too quickly, getting to what I would want for an "I'm an expert give me everything" difficulty around Round 3. Next time I'll just put everything in the Square Hole.
Apr 7 15:10:57 24h 18m Farm Dog ♥ 5 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039297 Silly fun, and exactly what real chicken farming is like! Great voxel art, smooth gameplay. Game mechanics could have been a bit more transparent (helping weigh choices in the upgrade menu). While I liked both audio tracks, the more frenetic one was uncomfortably than the first one.
Apr 7 15:32:31 21m 34s Stallar ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039294 Nice work, was fun to play on emulator. Very classic NES audio.
Apr 7 15:38:42 6m 11s Too Close ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039295 Interesting take on a puzzle game. A lot to like about it. A couple of points for improvement: zap both making her immediately turn 180 *and* swap rotation direction was maybe a little too much to readily internalize what would happen under time pressure. Aiming zap was tricky (the stage kept advancing just as I was about to click) - maybe if it targeted a 3x3? Flood seemed unworth using as it costs energy *and* takes away energy income.
Apr 7 15:42:01 3m 19s The Hero (...Always Wins) ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039289 (WINE) and https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957641 (Linux native) I enjoyed the humor of the game quite a bit, and your models were lovely. I would have appreciated some more transparency of the game mechanics. An ability to read tower abilities while paused, right there in the UI, would really help the on-ramping, letting the player associate it with the UI slots.
Apr 7 15:47:17 5m 16s Les Aventures de De Lay L'Inévitable! ♥ 1 screenshot-2022-04-07T11:45:03.png Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039298 Entertaining silly little arcade game. *Excellent* sprite work. I recall making a comment suggesting that some sort of joystick-based control might be nice? It's been two days, I don't remember the details, and can't find it quickly, sorry.
Apr 7 15:49:37 2m 20s The Third Age ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039288 Interesting take on a management sim. I only wish I could click on furniture the same way I can click on residents to see what needs each bit of furniture will satisfy. A couple of them weren't very obvious, and you could just repeat the icon so I didn't have to guess.
Apr 7 15:54:43 5m 06s Populus Romanus ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039290 Love me a city builder. Took me a little while to internalize that buildings only trigger when they're built. It was kind of neat that different buildings had different shapes. I almost want an option in the menu that shows all the buildings that exist and the probability of each coming up if they're not equal, to think about planning. Unless there's a random element, it might be nice to just show a shadow on the power meters of "what will happen if I place this building here" to help expose the mechanics. I could see the shape of future development with the different terrains. Not sure you needed those special buildings, but it would be interesting to see what the game is like with more variety.
Apr 7 15:56:15 1m 32s Blockage ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039278 Very effective use of A/V elements to set mood.
Apr 7 15:58:19 2m 04s Gladiator Graveyard ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039283 Nice intense gameplay. I like the music slowdown effect on death but I wish it would stop after a few seconds. If you sit on the menu it's really painful.
Apr 7 16:00:42 2m 23s Captain Starforce ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039277 Fun game. As discussed, shield regen is maybe a little too fast, but better too easy than too hard, and it would be great if there were a direction to space station indicator. Visuals read very cleanly; I could immediately tell what the direction to crew indicator meant.
Apr 7 16:15:18 14m 36s Secret Mission: Datastorm ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039292 I found simultaneously having free 2D movement and steering/accelerate/brake disorienting - I was able to eventually internalize how to control it but I still don't have a mental model for what it represents. Fantastic graphics and smooth gameplay, was interesting to play around with.
Apr 7 16:19:38 4m 20s The Assessment ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039280 Silly fun, excellent polish. I particularly love the intersection of the musical sting and TV popup animation with really excellent timing introducing each minigame. Just exactly right. "That's not how safes work" - a couple of the minigames I had a little trouble figuring out what I was being asked to do. "Put it in the square hole" - everything should go in the square hole as an easter egg I enjoyed the nod to Scrambl'd.
Apr 7 16:21:58 2m 20s Balloon Rush 2 ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039299 Lovely calm little game with an interesting base mechanic. Beautiful art and music. I did find lots of tiny puffs gave me better control than bigger puffs, so I ended up not really using the interesting part of the mechanic in the end, though, though that might be my poor play.
Apr 7 16:25:29 3m 31s Carpe Diem ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039293 Good stuff once I realized my controller was out of deadzone and switched to using it. Fun challenge, interesting perspective, floaty felt good but hard. Found it a bit challenging to judge where I would be landing, and sometimes I felt like my double-jump vanished. I'm sure that's all user error.
Apr 7 16:28:45 3m 16s Feast or Famine ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039279 For some reason the audio didn't work when running the game through the itch launcher, but works fine when run directly. I wish the bodies didn't have collision, or faded after being drained. It was frustrating to be in a situation where you knew you'd have to spend dash energy twice: once to drain and then again to get back out of the corner you'd dashed into. Enemies camping the doorways was really frustrating. The use blood to power everything mechanic worked out interestingly, fun overall.
Apr 7 16:30:55 2m 10s Immortal Snail ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039281 Fun stuff. The (mostly) useless pop gun was in many ways the highlight of the game for me. Reminded me (in a good way) of Untitled Goose Game and Yoku's Island Express. Great use of light to guide the player and also misdirect.
Apr 7 16:33:16 2m 21s Eleventh Hour ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039287 Beautiful game, nice smooth gameplay. Some neat stuff with the kunai being active even when falling after a miss or exploding off enemies.
Apr 7 16:34:44 1m 28s Death's Gambit ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039296 Interesting take on a puzzle game. Some good choices. Only major request is for a pointer to the Reaper when offscreen, especially right at the beginning of the game it feels bad to take a turn only to realize you've gone unknowingly closer to death.
Apr 7 16:36:12 1m 28s Recycle This! ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448039335 Good frenetic fun. A little rough on my RSI but so it goes. The guitar was absolutely worth the cost.
Apr 7 16:39:07 2m 55s Will There Bee Another? ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957644 Lovely little story. I was less engaged by trying to find the "correct" set of options for the best ending (which, maybe there should be more than one path there?), but just casually playing through a lovely conversation between two people who like each other but are having a little trouble communicating it was pleasant. I like that, because they clearly do both like each other, there aren't *bad* endings so much as just less good ones.
Apr 7 17:34:16 55m 09s Ludare OS ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957663 Neat game, had a great time playing it on emulator. For some reason I thought I had to press START after stepping onto the pad to send data to the register (and previously missed that I had to press START to confirm a target). I really appreciated that I could put things into registered and get immediate feedback on how the number changed, so I could combine estimated mental arithmetic with a test-and-update loop to get to the result quickly rather than having to do it all in my head. Supports a variety of thinking styles.
Apr 8 15:13:28 21h 39m ShadowScape ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957664 Very atmospheric. I wished a couple of the mechanics were exposed better (more clarity that the red torches damage enemies, and maybe health bars for the torches would help, also maybe a more clear digging animation for crystals would make it more clear that rocks *don't* have resources by contrast).
Apr 8 15:23:48 10m 20s Lava is Deadly ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957645 Unique puzzle mechanic, leads to some interesting interactions. If you could find somewhere to display any currently delayed effects along with countdown timers for how many more turns of delay they have it would go a long way to improving transparency as to what's going on and let the player focus more on figuring out the puzzles.
Apr 8 15:27:05 3m 17s Sorting Algorithm ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957647 Very moody. Satisfying basic gameplay. I'm not clear how much failing tasks mattered (or if it matters if it didn't) -- I felt constant pressure as I was playing to play quick so the game worked anyway. The couple of special levels made me feel smart for paying attention.
Apr 8 15:32:14 5m 09s Nelson's Nightmare: Remastered ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957657 Love those weird zoomy coins. Didn't love shop not pausing the timer but that's a design choice. I did manage to make it so Nelson will never wake up.
Apr 8 15:35:30 3m 16s Hot point ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957665 An interesting mechanic. I liked the heat-map effect (even if I didn't notice I could change the settings on it, a nice feature though). I entirely missed that walls were portable, so that's something that could have more clarity: either through making the objects more obviously portable or a classic by starting the character trapped in a temperate room where they have to pick up a wall to start playing.
Apr 8 15:39:27 3m 57s The Ultimate Martian Roulette ♥ 4 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957643 Game might want a content note for imagery of self-harm. Fantastic graphics, very effective setting. You got a surprisingly deep gameplay into a small amount of mechanics, nice work. I particularly appreciated the summary odds at the end of the game, because people are *terrible* at mentally estimating cumulative odds like that. Some great details in the backgrounds.
Apr 8 15:42:04 2m 37s Time, Commander? ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957661 Really interesting mechanic. Mouse-command-based tank-style controls sure are different. Accurate controlling was very challenging.
Apr 8 15:46:07 4m 03s Kessler ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957655 We didn't need that sun anyway. Interesting and thematic gameplay. The way the click-hold-release control worked was an interesting challenge, although I felt like in the end it pushed me to a kind of degenerate "always detonate in quick low-altitude bursts" strategy which was less fun. I wonder if click to commit a target and your bomb flies to that spot and detonates when it gets there would work out better?
Apr 8 15:50:09 4m 02s The Fight Scene ♥ 0 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957646 The bursts of red particles are more gory than I remembered the source material being but sure lend impact. Not sure why my ability to move around sometimes glitched out.
Apr 8 15:53:09 3m 00s Erefos ♥ 4 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957642 Nice atmospheric platformer. Horizontal movement in the air felt like it was slightly less than my intuition which kept throwing off my jumps. Shrinking light as a timer was effective and fitting.
Apr 8 15:56:48 3m 39s Cat in the Bag ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957640 Super charming. I appreciated (per discussion) that there are multiple solutions to each moment, so the player is more likely to feel smart/rewarded and less likely to get into the "ok I'm just reloading until I figure out what the designers wanted" cycle. Also means you can still play after watching someone else play and have a satisfying experience if you know there's more than one solution.
Apr 8 16:24:27 27m 39s Project Memory: Delay Extinction ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957658 A lovely edu-game, and something I could see playing for hours in a similar fashion to the way I used to play Civilization before bed. As I mentioned on stream, I would have appreciated, especially for a turn-based game like this, if some of the mechanics were a bit more transparent. Especially the mechanics around elephant/poacher movement and poacher capture. An optional mode that separates the elephant, poacher, and ranger movement stages and pauses between each would probably help beginning players and then you could have a checkbox to go to "fast movement" which would be more like the current behavior. Animations seem to happen in a different order than the canonical order (I see elephants moving late?) which is also confusing.
Apr 8 16:33:15 8m 48s STONEHOLD ♥ 2 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957648 Base combat mechanic feels pretty solid. I'm not sure how different you anticipated trips being without a lot more content, since it seems like a pretty linear scaling as-is, but I'd be intrigued to see it and love that you were attempting a procgen + ghosts thing.
Apr 8 16:36:20 3m 05s Devil's Revenge ♥ 0 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957666 I liked this take on splitting focus between delivering to a boss and keeping down the mooks. Too bad a couple of things didn't render properly in WINE. If you ever get a linux-native version out please tag me so I can play around with the game a bit more as-intended. Maybe it was just me, but maybe if there were a little more warning before terrain comes in to make it more available to try to take advantage of like the protective tower thing.
Apr 8 16:40:45 4m 25s Dungeon Dummies ♥ 3 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957668 Great puzzle game, this kind of thing is my jam!I had a really good time with this one. At least 95% of the interactions were either apparent or readily discoverable, and watching things unfold to misfortune was a joy. There were just a couple of places (I guess mostly around line-of-sight, which can always be tricky on a grid) where it was a bit opaque -- maybe if e.g. the thief's thought bubble were supplemented with a dashed-line to the thing he noticed it would call better attention to that interaction.
Apr 8 16:43:51 3m 06s I Wanted A new Tower Defense Game ♥ 0 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957660 I really dig the art style you went with for this. I'm not much of a tower defense player but this was approachable and I felt like I was able to get some mastery rapidly. Biggest thing that stands out to me is that I've been noticing that there's a really big difference in engagement between total silence and even minimal sfx if they're not terrible. I think some little pew-pews would have enhanced the experience a lot.
Apr 8 16:46:12 2m 21s plant. ♥ 1 Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957656 I was almost as bad at this game as I am at real-life gardening! Nice simple game, pleasant and soothing (until it dies at least). Less on-theme, but I wonder if people would appreciate an alternate mode that's a little bit slower and doesn't have the inevitable death aspect so you can just chill to trimming a plant for a while.

If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957659 Fun silly little game. The shape of the fish around the axis of rotation made for some interesting effects where which direction you were swinging actually mattered. Great clinky sfx. Fun to pull out and play around with for a few minutes.

In tweaks, maybe if the down-throw for combine had a slightly more forgiving target range, tweaking the difficulty down slightly without fundamentally changing it might be beneficial. There's already a lot of difficulty just in managing the slidy movement.

I love the use of 2-bit color graphics, and I'd be curious to see what it looks like on an LCD display/emulation of the LCD effects. Some very nice level design guiding you to learn and then work with the new powers. And Ledge Bite is just fantastic.

Nice work.

If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449912091 Fun stuff. The controls, particularly the need to pump with the keyboard, were fitting but a little rough for my already-RSI-having hands. I wonder if a controller-based control scheme would work while being more comfortable.

If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449912088 Beautiful and soothing while still being rather intense. It was interesting to explore the space of different elements. Nice touch requiring a dip into corruption to reach the most powerful shards. Would be a good before bed (and then end up staying up late with "one more time") kind of game.

If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449912093 I can't say that I've ever played an auto-digger before, and I dig it. Interesting idea, plays nicely. I'm not sure I loved competitive play being for speed, which ends up feeling kind of luck-based on early upgrades, vs. score-based, although score-based would have its own issues with incentives.

If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1449912084 I kind of feel like controller twin-stick or even just aim and aim dash in direction of movement controls to remove the mouse from the equation would result in a control scheme that feels more comfortable and natural for me. Game felt good but a little too hard, I wish I could have seen more of the upgrade content.
