A solid tower defense game, good job!
I enjoyed this, simple but very fun and lots of granularity in the different kinds of turrets and enemies
i have to admit i spent more time playing than i intended!
Simple and fun! Sometimes that's just what you need. I'll admit it took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize the "1x" in the corner was a button I could use to adjust speed. It felt dreadfully slow until I realized that, though in retrospect it seems obvious.
I managed to get to wave 47, and dang near beat it too.
Solid tower defence! Liked the simple graphics, with some sounds and more levels this would be epic! Could play it for hours. Great submission!
Nice, the graphics were great, I loved the Tron vibe.
* I didn't realise there 1X symbol was a button, I assumed it was some kind of combo meter and that I was missing something. it wasn't until I read the comments here that I realised my mistake.
* The money you gain for each kill seemed kinda low. it forced me to play on the high speeds to avoid sitting and waiting, but then the mobs flashed by very quickly. Even then I never got to afford the most expensive item.
* Audio would have been good.
This is just opinion; but I'd remove the time multiplier and balance money, cost and the rate at which waves spawn so that changing the speed isn't required.
All in all a solid entry.
Thanks for bringing your game by my stream for feedback! If you’d like to revisit the play and commentary you can view the highlight at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1448957660
I really dig the art style you went with for this. I'm not much of a tower defense player but this was approachable and I felt like I was able to get some mastery rapidly.
Biggest thing that stands out to me is that I've been noticing that there's a really big difference in engagement between total silence and even minimal sfx if they're not terrible. I think some little pew-pews would have enhanced the experience a lot.
Good tower defense game. Graphics are well done. Game play is solid. I appreciated the time multiplier... it allowed me to speed to the next threshold of money I needed for the next defense.
As @martink mentions the amount earned per mob kill seems low but I found this to be okay as I used the multiplier a lot.
Overall I quite enjoyed this game and will play it again. Congrats on the great entry.
Awesome TD game, I loved the style. Only thing I REALLY wanted was either some sound effects or music at the very least. I had a ton of fun trying different strategies but I think my record was Wave 48
Right now theres not so much to set it apart from other TD games, but there's a lot of potential in what you have so far and a lot of different directions you can take it. I think having multiple levels maybe for a story campaign mode would be cool, but having randomly generated levels would serve it really well for unlimited replayability, heck ya!
Really solid TD game. The only things I would have liked are tooltips inside the game (I forgot what some towers did so I had to read the start screen again) and some music/sfx. Otherwise, really balanced, and the speed control is much appreciated. Good job!
Liked the game
Playing at 8x was my preferred way because it is very slow paced at the normal speed.
Those damn spheres are really tough! When they come in big swarms I could not stop them.
Really cool tower defense game with a good aesthetic. I liked the time fast-forwarding a lot but wish there was a way to pick a specific setting rather than have to cycle through each one. I also think the better towers should have been a bit cheaper. Other than that, great job!
