Apr 26 02:18:47 Into the Abyss ♥ 1 Very sleek art style. I found myself stuck inside a wall (one of the switch activated ones) after my ancor passed over a switch turning it off then back on while pulling me along. Outside of that glitch it was fun. Your audio was really good as well.
Apr 26 02:24:45 5m 58s Lost ♥ 1 Very interesting experience. I'm kinda a smooth brain so I'm not exactly the crowd for this type of game however this was enjoyable (I got the happy ending maybe its less enjoyable with the sad one) if thats the right word. The one major criticism I have is that on the darkest parts I found it a little difficult to actually see the area I was walking in (this is also possibly my monitors fault). You dynamic music was also very nice.
Apr 26 02:26:36 1m 51s Depths of the Deep ♥ 1 I had a little difficult with the latters until I realized how they worked. Other than that this was pretty good.
Apr 26 02:33:10 6m 34s For Whom The Diving Bell Tolls ♥ 2 Very very cool. The physics was pretty tricky to handle when on the ground but I found that the answer to most of my movement based questions was "Shoot a harpoon". Very cleaver system with the pressure and being able to use the harpoon to slow your decent.
Apr 26 02:51:11 18m 01s Lord Of The Flies ♥ 1 Certainty an original take on the them. Had to restart once because I lost all of my flies but after that I quickly found myself enjoying the game.
Apr 26 02:53:30 2m 19s Mr Games Fall ♥ 1 Nice work looping that falling scream. This is a pretty simple game idea and you managed to do it well. Keep up the good work.
Apr 26 02:59:02 5m 32s I'm So Deep ♥ 2 Very interesting. I'm not a very good poet so I have no idea why I was so deep on some poems and trash on others but if nothing else this game gets high ranks for giving me the mental image of somebody rolling up into a ball and shouting poetry at royalty.
Apr 26 03:07:30 8m 28s TESTS ♥ 1 Who doesn't love a good warioware-like minigame collection. I had a hard time getting past the first game for a little bit but then I figured it out and got a couple of more games deep before my rapid clicking on the hot air balloon made me miss click a file and get put back to layer one. Very fun.
Apr 26 03:20:16 12m 46s Beautiful blob ♥ 0 I love this idea. I was just listening to a podcast where the talked about the blob fish like yesterday so maybe that makes me a little more favorable to this game but I really liked it. Your music slowly dropping in pitch was a good touch and the transformations as you got lower looked good. I wish there was a little more room between mirrors on the second layer but its really not the big a deal. Also props to you for using a nonstandard aspect ratio even for the browser version. To many developers make games that have vertical to them and then put them in 16:9. So I appreciate the novelty of the 9:16 aspect ratio
Apr 26 03:25:49 5m 33s Find The Page! ♥ 1 Pretty fun. I know the idea of 6 degrees of separation has been played as a game before but its far more satisfying to actually have a system there telling you that while you took four clicks to get from Rivers to the Pacific Ocean there is actually a path that only takes two.
Apr 26 03:31:21 5m 32s Outvoyage ♥ 1 Highly hypnotic watching the rocks fly by once you reach a certain speed. Also I don't know if its just its intentional or just a quirk of the engine but the sort of slow fluid popping that the rocks have where they seem to oh most appear from the black like its ink is really awesome.
Apr 26 03:40:50 9m 29s Vibin' Secrets ♥ 1 Pretty enjoyable. I got a little confused on where the rods where really working but they where turns out sometimes I am a little distracted and don't actually look at the diving bar to see if its telling me "This is the tile idiot".
Apr 26 03:48:39 7m 49s Deep into the vibe ♥ 1 Very much the type of game you can reach a zen state while playing. I really liked the sweet guitar rift. There was a bit of time where I was wondering if there was some way to tell where next platform was gonna stop spinning and I was very happy to realize you actually can figure out where each platform will stop spinning at which takes this game from good to great as you can really enter a sort of zen/flow while playing.
Apr 26 03:54:57 6m 18s Sleep Walls ♥ 1 I really like the sleepy(hypnogogic if you like big word) feel of you musical riff. I found the gameplay to be pretty simple but this game is kinda sleepy so I don't think it would really work with the feel for it to be a knife edge death match of trying to sleep.
Apr 26 04:04:39 9m 42s DrillDrill: The Quest for Diamonds ♥ 1 Really good game. The first time I played I ended up not buying enough bounce booster so I lost pretty quick but once I figured out that the bounce bar went down ever time I hit it I realized what I needed to do. I like the little design choices you made like having the rock layers get darker and dark so that at the black layer you could only make out the bombs by the little face on them. My one wish for this game is that when you have a bunch of bounce power ups it can actually take some time to land on the ground after bouncing which can throw off the flow. This is really good for being made in 48 hours
Apr 26 04:18:04 13m 25s Gravity Limbo ♥ 0 Very interesting game. I won my first play through (admittedly I did play on easy). Reminded me in some ways of FTL and the Oregon Trial.
Apr 26 04:21:59 3m 55s The Rabbit Hole ♥ 1 Not something I would have though of to make for the theme deeper and deeper but it certainly work for it. Overall pretty fun but then again I am the type of person who goes down wikipedia rabbit holes on purpose so maybe I'm biased.
Apr 26 04:24:44 2m 45s Depth of Memory ♥ 2 I rather enjoyed this. Your music was really good.
Apr 26 04:33:36 8m 52s Ancient Civilizations ♥ 1 I'm always a fan of voiced sound effects so that got me good right off the bat. I had some difficulty figuring out if I was really hitting the enemies or not but I got through it. All in all good game.
Apr 26 04:40:35 6m 59s Dig Deeper & Deeper: Go Deep (HTML5) ♥ 1 I'm far to tired to be playing this game. That being sad this game was so good that even though I am tired after jamming that I still tried to give it my best shot. I really like this graphical style of very chunky low resolution pixel art. You sound effects for digging and picking up bolders also worked very well. I am about as smooth brained as they come so I won't say much about your puzzles other than that I when I figured out the solution I felt satisfied.
Apr 26 04:56:57 16m 22s My Dentures! ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this. It took me a second to figure out how to move with the isometric grid (although this is more a me thing as I lack the IQ points to be able to understand isometric anything). I find the forced drop mechanic to be quite interesting as I found myself trying to move so that I landed on the next grid in a place closer to the item I wanted. You mention in the description that you had to cut back the scope of the game while developing it. I gotta say its impressive that while cutting ideas you managed to have such a cohesive game. Even your graphical style is really solid and doesn't have much of a "I ran out of time" look to it. My only complaint is that if you run out of moves on grid 15 you just have to press R and restart. I would have liked to have seen a "Out of Moves" prompt or something. Overall you did really good and I really enjoyed this.
Apr 26 05:04:49 7m 52s Deep Undercover ♥ 4 As a person who is 100% not an Eel in a human suit I found this game to be slanderous propaganda against Eels everywhere. Eels are wondrous creatures who are fully capable of operating a human without having to flip flop like wet spaghetti everywhere. I won't lie and say it wasn't humorous to watch a fellow Eel flail and fail at its attempts to act as a human however I would ask that the next time you decide to make something like this you take a moment and ask yourself if there where an Eel inside you how would he feel about this. TL;DR 10/10
Apr 26 05:15:22 10m 33s Haunted Pizza Delivery ♥ 1 I dig this. The music is good. The game itself while being a little slippery is actually pretty good although I will say as a general tip the platform effector you are using for your one way playforms blocks movement into a platform horizontally which makes it really had to jump in some areas. The quickest fix for this I've ever found is just to change the degrees of collision on the platform from 180 to something like 160 that way the player can still walk through the platform if you have it at head height. This is all assuming that was unintentional so feel free to disregard it. Also your sprite work has a certain charm to it. I think it comes from the fact that its so self consistent that it give it a sort of style rather than making it look ugly or disjointed.
Apr 26 05:22:10 6m 48s Knee deep in jelly ♥ 1 Always love a good Pico-8 game. Your art and sound are fantastic and I love how weighty the diver feels once he reaches the top of his jump. Really give the feeling that he is covered in heavy equipment. The amount of air (or in this case water) maneuverability is really good at making it so that I don't feel like it was the games fault for me slamming into a bunch of jellyfish. Also I gotta say intentional or not I love the Doom reference as a game name.
Apr 26 05:36:11 14m 01s Tiptap the Tadpole vs. the Menacing Cthonic Horde ♥ 1 I don't have friends so I played this game as one person playing both halves and let me tell you it is very hard but also kinda enjoyable. I found the controls of Tiptap to be simple enough that I could kind of segment my brain into just my left had controlling Tiptap while my right hand tried its best to make a enemy that didn't look like after it was going to crawl up to me asking me to kill it after it hatched. I wasn't very successful at that but I did have a lot of fun trying.
Apr 26 05:48:19 12m 08s What's Under Base 69? ♥ 2 Lol I had a good time with this. At first I was wondering if it was gonna be fish all the way down then I got to the Cthulhu spawn and I had a good laugh. I can only imagine what the full experience of this would have been like. Also I absolutely love hearing the handmade sound effects like the helicopter blades spinning being what sounded to my ears like a trilled B sound (trills in this case not referring to music but to the phonetic definition like rolling R's). Also love your floating islands leaflet.
Apr 26 05:57:46 9m 27s 10,001 - A space exploration game ♥ 1 Very cool game. I enjoyed wandering around blasting aliens and finding landmarks. I did have a bit of bad luck at the beginning where the first direction I picked seem to have nothing in it for a good minute or two. Eventually I changed direction and found swarms of enemies and started to have more fun. I really liked how the stars you have as a background seem to have some level of parallax to them with some wizing by and some sitting seemingly static. Also you get points for your space ship looking like Spikes from Cowboy Bebop.
Apr 26 06:07:06 9m 20s Dukes of Debt ♥ 1 Really fun. Reminded me a bit of Pikmin but with more crippling debt. I had some difficulty beating on the guys but I went back and tried again and figured him out. You have a nice little audio loop as well as solid gameplay.
Apr 26 06:11:22 4m 16s Eel With A Gun! ♥ 2 You know this is the second Eel based game I have played this jam. There must be some sort of conspiracy going on or something. Anyways I enjoyed this. The web version was kinda borked for me (only showed part of the gameplay) but I clicked the fullscreen button and that solved it. I found the tilted controls to be a little hard to get a grasp of but eventually I wrapped my head around it. I love the art style of giant sprites so high marks there. Overall this was enjoyable to play.
Apr 26 06:20:05 8m 43s Mine Cards ♥ 1 Always nice to play a little idle game after a long hard day of jamming. The lack of music on the one hand is a bit of a downer because who doesn't love some good idle Muzak to relax to. On the other hand it does mean I get to play whatever I want instead so that's nice. All in all this games a nice little idle game.
Apr 26 06:24:49 4m 44s Dig Deeper ♥ 1 This game controls a pretty slipper but its not to hard to get the hang of after a minute or two. I wish there was some sound effect for things. The way the blocks dissapear reminds me of some Roblox mining games circa 2008 which is a good thing in my opinion.
Apr 26 06:40:22 15m 33s Bat and Spider Cavern ♥ 2 Nice art, sound, and gameplay. I like the added challenge of the tunnel slowly getting dark and darker. I also like that I could both fall faster or slower. I found after a while that I could fire in a certain pattern and hit the spiders and bats that spawn without really having to guess to much. I don't really know what the solution to this would be but it did make for some good high score hunting.
Apr 26 06:49:17 8m 55s Love Under the Robot Junkyard ♥ 2 I like this game. At first I died a couple of times and didn't really understand why then I stopped at took it a little slower and as I did it started to grow on me. I really enjoyed the mood you created with this. I am a big lover of Ascii roguelikes so the graphical styling of this game also really made me want to try it even more. So yea I really like what you made and found it kinda beautiful in a weird sort of way.
Apr 26 06:58:45 9m 28s Miner Creeper ♥ 1 This game is kinda interesting. It took some experimenting but I eventually figured out how to get the extra picks from the boxes. Your short music loop was fitting for the setting. Your opening text box is cover over by the UI but once I put it in full screen I was able to move the UI out of the way without much difficulty so no real complaint there.
Apr 27 00:55:42 17h 56m Surface Level ♥ 3 Nice music and who doesn't love that pico-8 graphical style. I had some difficulty with the controls but nothing I couldn't figure out within a minute or two of playing
Apr 27 01:02:24 6m 42s Ninja Descension ♥ 2 This is a pretty enjoyable game. I managed to make it to the bottom without much challenge which is good for a jam but made the game feel kinda easy. The actual controls felt pretty slippery when on the ground however action movies has trained my brain to just except the fact that ninjas don't follow the rules of physics like you or me so I didn't have any real problem with it.
Apr 27 01:16:39 14m 15s Sleep Deprived ♥ 1 I really like your art style for this. The blending of 2D sprites with the 3D world reminds me very much of final fantasy tactics. I'm terrible at tactics games like this so I don't have anything to really say about the gameplay. Also good take on the theme.
Apr 27 01:26:16 9m 37s The Frozen Deep ♥ 2 Super cool idea and implementation. At a certain point I did have some framerate issues but they cleared up really quick so I don't know what caused them (it was pretty soon after getting the rocket boots I believe). Good humor with the notes. I found your music to have an appropriate level of drone to it (it worked well with the ice caves and such).
Apr 27 01:31:42 5m 26s Deeper and Deepar (Now on Itch.io !) ♥ 3 Gotta love those sound effects. As a fellow member of the "my game needs sound to now I'm gonna make noises into the microphone" gang I would like to congratulate you on how good your sounds were.
Apr 27 01:44:59 13m 17s Dragon Space ♥ 1 This is a pretty decent clicker game. I liked that as I went I could see how far I had gotten compaired to real stars and planets (and other such astronomical bodies). I do wish the the actual text for light years per second was in a better place (somewhere closer to the button) and was a little bit larger so that it was easier to see as one of my favorite things about clickers is watching the numbers go up.
Apr 27 01:57:29 12m 30s Close your eyes ♥ 1 I liked this. While playing this I found myself having similar trains of though as to what I had when I first played "The Beginners Guide". I'm not really sure what to say about this game. Your audio assets where good. I enjoyed it. I don't feel like it was time wasted. Its very arty. I am to much of a smooth brain to really give deep thoughtful opinions on games like this. I will admit playing through this that I did laugh at the end when the person on the phone said "Ciao" as an American I don't think I have heard anyone outside of teenage girls say "Ciao" maybe ever. So hearing it at the end of a very angry phone call got a real chuckle out of me. [BREATHING INTENSIFIES]
Apr 27 02:02:52 5m 23s The Depths ♥ 2 Pico-8 games always look good. I personally found the music to be a little bit loud but it wasn't that hard for me to turn it down on my end. I found the gameplay to be a little easy once I realized that I could mostly hang out on the left half of the screen but it wasn't game breaking or anything. Controls where a little slippery but then again I was underwater so I don't expect them to be perfect.
Apr 27 02:10:23 7m 31s Psycho Dive ♥ 1 @artemistake I also had the problem of not being able to get past the intro but viewing in full screen did in fact let me see the next button and progress. As for my experience past the intro I will say I liked what I played. I found your art to be pretty charming (especially the brain as ground. I liked that you worked the theme and gameplay into both going deeper into you mind and literally having the level transfers be going down a hole. All in all a good showing.
Apr 27 02:14:43 4m 20s Run, Glim, Run! ♥ 4 This is a very nice little infinite runner. I found the art very pleasing and your music was good as well. I will say I did find at one point I died rather unexpectedly I assume from running into stalagmites. I wish there was some indication that this was happening (assuming that it was happening and I didn't miss something else.)
Apr 27 02:24:35 9m 52s Deep Sea Phishing ♥ 3 I loved this. I am a real sucker for minigames and this worked in a pretty funny story over the top of its minigames so thats extra cool. Your background music was really quite enjoyable to listen to (especially when the robotic GOOD JOB came in over the top of it). I will say I wish the use of the mouse to advance the text wasn't necessary as I always felt a little worried that I was going to suddenly need to use my right hand for the arrow keys rather than the mouse. Other than that this game was really good.
Apr 27 02:42:41 18m 06s Post Ghost ♥ 4 I love this art style. Its got a very squishy/soft look to it. I did find the controls to be a little difficult to get the hang of but after a minute or two of playing I started to get used to it. Your music is great and very "Ghosty" if that is a thing music can be. I will say I found your UI to be both good and a little bad. Its good in the sense that it looks really good the bad part is that when I open both the instructions and the credits the button to close those menus is completely off screen until I put the game in full screen which is fairly easy to miss. TL;DR You made a fun game to play with good art, and good music give yourselves a pat on the pack from me to you.
Apr 27 02:48:40 5m 59s Dig Dog! ♥ 1 I had a fun time playing this. I've never played Boulder Dash or Supaplex before but I might have to give them a try if they are anything like this. My only complaint about this game is that the music was a little loud but that was easily solved by turning down my own volume. So when is this comming to arcades everywhere.
Apr 27 03:00:01 11m 21s Deepenguin McPool - Wants a deeper pool ♥ 3 The art. The music. The wonderful clicking. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this. Also very happy to see more 9:16 aspect ratio games really good decision to utilize the verticallity that aspect ratio gives rather than try to work more verticallity into 16:9
Apr 27 03:07:41 7m 40s Rainbow Fall ♥ 5 I can already see the hyper casual clones of this game filling up the app stores now. I mean this in a good way. You folks game is really enjoyable I found it really quick to understand what was going on and as I bumped into new blocks for the first time it only ever took one experience with a new block to figure out how it worked. This is really great design and game feel. The artwork also looks very good. The ball and its lighting effects where very consistent with the blocks so you could tell what blocks you should hit very easily. I also play have flux on my PC to reduce eye strain and found that I had no difficulty distinguishing your colors from one another so good on you folks.
Apr 27 03:24:38 16m 57s Neckdeep ♥ 1 I liked this. Big thanks to the help desk for the walkthrough because I am a first class smooth brain so I quickly found myself in high water and not sure what to do. I absolutely loved the portraits in this game and how they qucikly went from "Yeah that a person" to "Thats not a man thats a red rombus in a suit!". TL;DR Gib d0g plz.
Apr 27 03:53:01 28m 23s A Taste of the Past ♥ 9 First things first here are my general thoughts on this game. I find the art to be lovely but found the Title menu to be a little cluttered for my taste (I had to really stop and look to notice the menu options). I enjoyed the music and voice acting very much. The little mini\side games of washing hands and chopping and such where also very good. Now as you how this game effected me emotionally all I can say is. WTF DUDES. I JUST WENT FROM PLAYING A GAME ABOUT A DOG DIGGING HOLES TO CRYING ABOUT DEAD MOTHERS. I have a standing desk. Do you have any idea how it feels to cry at a standing desk. Its not like I have a chair I can sink back into I just have to stand here and weep like a crazy person. I mean don't get me wrong I loved playing this but I was not ready for the feelings that where gonna come at me. This game was the definition of "Try not to cry... Cry a lot". So 10/10 you made a grown man cry while standing at his desk. TL;DR Very good game. I'm not crying your crying.
Apr 27 04:12:37 19m 36s Y-Sokombanator ♥ 2 I've never been filtered by a game so quickly as this. I am already absolute trash at Sokoban games and this was no exception. Because I am so bad at these games I wont embarrise everybody by trying to talk about the puzzle design. I will say I enjoyed your short music loop and found it soothing to my soul as I sat pondering my life and how it was that in all those math classes I spent playing Sokoban clones on my TI-84 that I am still so bad at them.
Apr 27 04:17:51 5m 14s Where's grandpa? ♥ 2 This was an enjoyable little game. I like the way you choose to do the voice acting very much.
Apr 27 04:21:10 3m 19s Rock Bottom ♥ 2 I enjoyed playing this. I did feel like the scroll wheel toolbar was weird but I can't put my finger on why exactly (maybe I'm just tired). I liked the music.
Apr 27 04:24:51 3m 41s Jean GADIN on the Prairie ♥ 1 This got a good chuckle out of me. I appreciate the slowdown ability and the rainbow invincibility star. Good work.
