Great game but I do have to state something that was brought to my attention. You should have put this entry in unranked or at least opt out of several categories. You are being rated and received comments on the fact that the game looks polished (it completely does, I agree on that !), but that is not your achievement. Luckily you gave credit to the creator of the art (https://pixelfrog-store.itch.io/kings-and-pigs). But secondly, this is almost pro verbatim a copy of an existing entry in another recent jam, down to the UI and mechanics (https://vimlark.itch.io/make-the-way). Most of the level design is identical... I am very happy to see you made a tribute and a proper game, but people should be aware what they are voting for. Someone else made this game and realistically, coming up with a proper idea and mechanics is the hardest part of a jam. The game design has nothing to do with your entry, nor does the art. Sorry if it sounds harsh, I am usually of the principle that a game jam is about the journey of making a game, but this falls beyond that. By all means make games by copying, it's the exact best way to learn in fact... Just don't enter it in a ranking system where you're being put up against people who spent a full weekend and more doing all they can on the limit to finish a game. Now that that's out of the way... This game is beautiful and deserves praise. I see a lot of critisism above here and granted, the team is big in size, but nothing is stopping people from doing the exact same thing. Managing a team is a choice and definitely not as easy or as big of an advantage as you would think. I personally did compo and was alone, by choice. People have the right to form teams and that is what a game jam should all be about. That being said, I enjoyed this game ! The shooting is fun, it had a jumpscare or two and it kept me on edge traversing and finding the switches. Well done, I for one really enjoyed it :) |

To recap, you should disable the compression settings when building the web build in Unity, it might resolve issues with the web build. That being said, really quircky platformer ! Love the puzzles and the reset mechanic is implemented in a very elegant manner, reducing the feeling of "punishment" when you messed up a puzzle. The first couple of levels are quite easy to blaze through, but they also introduce the mechanics of the game in a very adequate fashion. Yet the difficulty ramps up to the point where you almost need to draw out on paper what you'll need to do to reach the target. Well executed, thumbs up ! |

The controls are very decent and feel fair at all points. Even when things got a bit repetitive, they kept me on edge ! The audio wasn't lacking, it popped at the right times to really bring that vibe of "stop nagging and let me finish the game !". Screenshake? 11/10. Well done ! Honestly loved this one :) |
