| Aug 15 16:19:34 | XORN: The Fallen God | ♥ 3 | Well done. The graphics and animation looks really nice. The game is fun but as mentioned above, it need some feedback. It is hard to notice if I was hit of not and if I was able to buy something or not. Also a tutorial (even if in the LD page) would be helpful since It took me sometime to notice that the red dots represent health and that the ice crystals are the shops. Also some ambient music would improve the mood a lot. I played it 4 times but I was never able to get past wave 1. It was still really fun and I feel challenged to keep trying again. | |
| Aug 15 16:43:05 | 23m 31s | Gone Rouge | ♥ 1 | Once I got past my initial confusion, it became really fun. I have a bad habit of jumping right into games without reading the page and OMG, I couldn't even know how to shoot or exit through the door. I like the fact that it is procedurally generated but I panicked when I couldn't reach some tiles till I realized I can wall jump (I love wall jumps). The art looks nice but can be more polished. Overall, it is a really nice and fun game and I enjoyed it a lot. |
| Aug 15 17:00:47 | 17m 42s | The Subway: horror within | ♥ 0 | The art is awesome, I truly love it. As a person who mainly commutes by metros, I relate. I will try shouting on my next trip. It was hard to remember the effect of character types though. The gameplay is fun but gets a little repetitive after some time though. The sound effect and music is nice but I think it needs some metro ambience. Fun game overall and it has some nice potential. |
| Aug 15 17:25:21 | 24m 34s | Overflow | ♥ 1 | The game looks and sounds gorgeous and the levels are really well designed. This is most fun game I played in this event till now. The 4 levels were enough to make me understand the charm of the game and keep me craving for more. My only problem is that the boat was a bit hard to control (although I feel it was intentional to raise the challenge). Great job and Thanks for the fun game. |
| Aug 15 17:54:06 | 28m 45s | Disembodied | ♥ 1 | Nice game. I also thought that space can mean the space bar but I had no idea how to build a game around it so I am really impressed with your implementation. The sound and music are absolutely awesome (I love the voice acting a lot) and while the visual side can still be improved, the keyboard and console effects looks really good. The only problem I faced was the slight differences between my keyboard and on-screen keyboard but I don't think this problem can be fixed. Overall, the experience was really great. Well done. |
| Aug 15 18:23:42 | 29m 36s | Where Stars Belong | ♥ 2 | Art and mood are great. I spent some time just staring at the clouds wondering how you did it till I realized that they were particles. I understand the message but I still prefer to give my dark thoughts 100% of my capacity. I am not sure whether I finished the game or not; I quit after the white thoughts appeared and nothing else seemed to respond to my actions. Overall, it was nice experience. Well done. |
| Aug 15 21:25:56 | 3h 02m | TrackBlasters | ♥ 1 | This game is too hard for me. Actually, It seems that I can win any track by going slowly for the 1st and 2nd laps but it becomes frustrating and start to speed up again. Otherwise, the game looks fantastic (I love retro aesthetics), the audio is well done and the idea is really nice. My main problem is that the track gets eaten up quickly so every failure increases the probability of getting stuck. May be some mechanics to fix the road, fly, etc can be helpful. Fixing the aforementioned problem will also make it possible to extend the game to multiplayer (and another friendship-breaking game will be born). Overall, great game and I really enjoying it. |
| Aug 15 23:44:12 | 2h 18m | King of Bjorp | ♥ 2 | If only these little guys can stop for a bit, it would be great (also may be too easy). The game is fun but hard for me, however, I think it just takes some time to master it. What makes it hard for me is that controls aren't tight so it is hard to navigate narrow area. I only tried the single player mode but the AI is strong enough to defeat me every time anyway. The aesthetics and sound effects are really nice but the dying sound of the players is really funny. The game already has a nice variety of levels with diverse designs and would really make a fun party game. Well done. |
| Aug 16 00:45:49 | 1h 01m | Void Incoming | ♥ 1 | I love this kind of games; They are simple and puts a lot of focus on exploring a small set of mechanics. Although the mechanics are simple, you were able to make 13+ levels (I stopped at level 13 tbh) that were fun and never let me get bored. The art is simple but I like it. The implementation has one problem for me which is the collision. I think all the object collide as boxes with the size of a full tile so it can feel frustrating to move around them especially that the time is limited. May be making the player and cannon collide as circles will help. Overall, It was really fun and I will make sure to continue the remaining levels later. |
| Aug 16 14:13:40 | 13h 27m | BlinkyWay | ♥ 1 | Other than dying a lot without knowing why, this is a fun experience. I think a message telling the player why they died would be nice. Otherwise the audio is really well done. Good job. |
| Aug 16 14:28:09 | 14m 29s | Inventorium | ♥ 0 | I enjoyed this a lot. The game idea is simple, easy to understand and challenging. I found bullet to be harmful early in gameplay but becomes useful when the area becomes small. My best score is 28 but I will try to get better. I really wish that I can fire with mouse clicks instead of space bar so that my hand can focus on dodging alone. I also like that the controls are tight which is great for dodging games. Great job. |
| Aug 16 14:57:38 | 29m 29s | Running Out Of Spice | ♥ 2 | I had to remind myself during the intro that this is not a "SPACESHIP", it's a "SPICESHIP". The game is really fun and energetic. My only complaint is that the light direction makes it hard to see the rock since the look nearly as dark as the sky. Other than that, the visual effects look awesome and the sound effects are great. Awesome job. |
| Aug 16 17:17:15 | 2h 19m | Mr. Flame Just Wants A Hug | ♥ 1 | It is a lot of fun but the controls and camera are a bit clunky. It is really hard to steer the fire and the jumps are too floaty. The camera can also be smoother since it move too suddenly. Other than that, the idea is really nice and cruel (both for the poor fire and people). Good job. |
| Aug 16 17:21:08 | 3m 53s | Mars Web | ♥ 0 | I couldn't go far into this game (sorry for being stupid) but I am still fascinated by the effort and visual design aspect of this game; The website looks gorgeous and the interface looks great. I will try it again with more patience since the game made me really curious. |
| Aug 16 17:34:09 | 13m 01s | A simple life | ♥ 1 | Indeed, it is a simple life. I like the idea and the music and it would be fun to see it extended further. Nice job. |
| Aug 16 20:07:17 | 2h 33m | Relocation | ♥ 0 | Cool idea. The low poly map looks nice but the travelling methods art looks a bit out of place. The nuking seems random or at least has no indicators to anticipate so it is hard to plan. The music choice is really nice and fitting. |
| Aug 16 21:21:58 | 1h 14m | Elevator Maximum | ♥ 1 | The art looks great. The game is nice but it was not as energetic as hoped or may be I was playing it in a wrong manner. I mainly fought by mashing J or pressing k sometimes and I go in one direction till the end then go in the other direction till the end. After there are no one remaining, I send all elevators down except one which I take up. It was fun but it felt repetitive after a while. Otherwise, I truly love the art, animation and your music taste. Great job. |
| Aug 17 11:51:52 | 14h 29m | First World Hoarder | ♥ 0 | I really wish I can buy more items simultaneously, currently the game feels a bit too slow. Otherwise, the scene design is really good and big for a jam game and the idea is very interesting and funny. I also think some music would make the game more funny imo. The mobile app design looks good and is nice to use too. Great job. |
| Aug 17 12:06:41 | 14m 49s | Running Out in Space! | ♥ 2 | Nice game. I like the idea and some levels were clever. A few levels were too straight forward though. The character looks so cute; it reminds me of Fez. I found it weird to move using q/d since I usually use a/d but it probably due to keyboard differences. The music is so nice, calming and fits the games a lot. Great job. |
| Aug 17 17:47:52 | 5h 41m | SpaceBreaker | ♥ 0 | RIP My finger and space bar. The graphics looks really good and the game is super energetic. Although the game mechanic are a bit too simple for my taste, I still found it engaging due to both the visual and sound effects and the upgrade mechanics. Nice job. |
| Aug 17 18:17:48 | 29m 56s | Cybatron | ♥ 2 | Wow, I love puzzle games but this one is hard for me (I will try it again later when I am less tired). The idea is really nice but the mechanics are still vague for me even after winning a couple of levels by trial and error. I think a more detailed tutorial will be very helpful. For the other aspects, the art is great and the futuristic vibes is what attracted me to play this game. The interface is also very intuitive and easy to understand. Great game. |
| Aug 17 18:23:57 | 6m 09s | memBrain | ♥ 1 | Nice game with a very interesting idea. My only complaint is that the "R" button is very near the "E" button so I mistakenly reset the level multiple times. I didn't try to remap the controls though so may be that would fix my problem. The 3D pixel art looks so nice and the retro menu style feels so nostalgic. I also would prefer to have a visual indicator for which room each data piece refers to. Overall, great job. |
| Aug 17 20:42:28 | 2h 18m | Zero Star | ♥ 2 | "You Rock" Thank you. Actually the dodging mechanics was fun. I lost 2 times: the 1st because I didn't know how to shoot, the 2nd because I had a hard time shooting while dodgin. In the 3rd time, I did it \(^.^)/ For the visual side, I am not a big fan of the art style since the background is too saturated but it didn't hinder the gameplay. I think some polish and additional mechanics would be great. Overall, Nice job. |
| Aug 17 21:45:51 | 1h 03m | The Alphanumorph | ♥ 1 | The art looks gorgeous and music is really nice. To be honest, I gave up; I retried the 1st level more than 10 times but I failed miserably at the spikes. I know that I need training but I couldn't do it after trying so many times. My only suggestion is make the player switch automatically to hovering after he reaches a location instead of having to press again so that flying over spikes would be easier. Overall, it is a creative idea and a nice game and I enjoyed trying out such a unique control method. |
| Aug 17 22:12:56 | 27m 05s | Made With Meat | ♥ 0 | Nice idea but seriously needs an in-game tutorial (I read the LD page but I couldn't remember most of it during playing). The visuals are OK; they do not hinder the gameplay but can use some polishing. Also, it was initially hard to discern what each number above did (which is the required material, which is the current amount I have, etc.) Still, It is a good game and I enjoyed it after some of my confusion has cleared up. |
| Aug 18 08:23:35 | 10h 10m | Demotrash | ♥ 1 | I was going to complain about the slow ammo regeneration but it turned out to be more fun that way since I have to plan chain reactions. The game is amazingly fun as it currently is but the art and sound can use some polishing. Greatly done. |
| Aug 18 23:05:15 | 14h 41m | Ping | ♥ 1 | Nice game but as the comments above mentioned, please add the cursor again since it is really useful to see where I am aiming. The art and effects feels relaxing for a shooter game but I really like it. |
| Aug 19 12:00:19 | 12h 55m | Park & Match | ♥ 1 | And here comes another game to remind me how bad I am at parking. I like the idea and how it interprets the theme. The art is simple and looks really nice. I fail miserably at this game but I can't complain since I am bad at parking both in games and in real life. |
| Aug 19 22:19:38 | 10h 19m | Keyboard warrior | ♥ 2 | This is like playing twister on a keyboard. It starts easy but it becomes crazy after a while. I really like the sketch aesthetic and the sound effects. Good job. |
| Aug 19 22:30:49 | 11m 11s | King Midas | ♥ 0 | I have never hated dropped items this much before. It is a nice game but a tutorial would be appreciated since I got stuck multiple times without understanding why till I finally got it. The art is nice but I didn't realize who I was till I moved multiple times and noticed that there was a golden character moving as I wanted. Beyond the initial confusion, it is fun. Good job. |
| Aug 21 13:51:03 | 39h 20m | Don't Let 'em Fall! | ♥ 1 | That feeling when you know that everybody is gonna die eventually. After I lost my largest group, I stopped trying to save anyone and embraced the despair. The idea is fun but it becomes too hard near the end. My main complaint is that it is hard to see which units are selected (the marker under them is too small). Maybe the selected units can have a different color. Otherwise, the game is nicely done. Good job. |
| Aug 23 15:07:47 | 49h 16m | Bug Squasher | ♥ 1 | Nice game. I was planning to spam my keyboard but you already took care of this possibility 😄 I like the idea and I truly love the funny voice acting. Good job. |
| Aug 23 15:19:01 | 11m 14s | Penguin Odyssey | ♥ 1 | That music is epic and the game is fun and exciting. The visual side is good too but can use some more polish. Good job. |
| Aug 24 20:40:43 | 29h 21m | Pocketverse Protector | ♥ 0 | The idea of unbounded world getting narrower is great. This game reminds me of Manifold Garden. I also like the foggy aesthetic since it boosts the mood a lot. However, I still don't know if there is a goal to seek in the game but I still had a lot of fun falling around and shooting enemies randomly. Some visual and audio polish plus some goals (if it doesn't have one) will make it perfect. Great job. |
| Aug 25 16:30:34 | 19h 49m | Beater | ♥ 1 | I like it; it is simple but fun to tinker with. Although it is not a game, the little interaction you added made me engaged for a while longer than I initially expected. I was wondering what the clicks did till I realized the affect the speed but I think it is better to mention it in the game or on the LD page. I think more methods of interaction can make the users more engaged (may be give the user some drum and snares or some sound filters to control). However, If you plan to keep it as a visualizer only then it is good as it is. |
| Aug 26 11:17:01 | 18h 46m | Block Jumper | ♥ 1 | I really love the game idea. My only problem is that the game can be impossible in some cases and I get stuck (huge blocks on one column stacked too high and kept going while I was stuck in my starting position). Otherwise, the visuals are really great and the idea is simple and really fun. Great job. |
| Aug 27 00:41:03 | 13h 24m | Chambers | ♥ 1 | I downloaded and played this at 2:30 AM without knowing what it was about.... then I realized that maybe I should have waited till the morning 😅 Well actually, the game is creepy but the monster is not scary. I played and died multiple times without being able to see the monster so I decided to not play and just look around for the monster and he didn't look scary tbh (good for me). The music is nice and has a eerie feeling and the footsteps made me feel stressed (I felt as if the monster will hear me). I think adding some sound to the monster will make the game scarier and will help the player know that the monster is near. Overall, it is a nice entry and the idea is a great base for a horror game. Good job. |
| Aug 27 19:48:06 | 19h 07m | You May Live (YML) | ♥ 1 | Great and extremely sad game. I mainly played it more as a moral dilemma test and less as a resource management game. Since the bed seems to be enough though most my play, I focused mainly on deciding who I believe to deserve a bed and who don't. The music and art were totally fitting the mood of the game. I think an introductory job tutorial would be helpful since it took me a few days to discover how to see beds and I was confused on the first time the calendar appeared. I am still curious about who killed the patients so I will probably play again. Overall, great job. |
| Aug 28 11:44:43 | 15h 56m | Shrinking Universe | ♥ 2 | This game is really fun to play after you get used to the controls. My main complaint, which is already mentioned in other comments, is the controls. While I got used to the controls after playing multiple time, it is still annoying to have many steps just to launch a simple attack. I think "Mouse Btn Down -> Drag -> Mouse Btn Release" would be faster and feel more natural. I also feel that the game gets hard quickly (or I am just bad at it). Otherwise, I had a lot of fun playing it. Great Job. PS: My current best time is 1:01. |
| Aug 28 16:58:41 | 5h 13m | The Hero's incredible Chronicles | ♥ 1 | I spent 2-3 minutes in denial till I accepted the truth. Well, I was expecting a twist but.... Anyway the art and humor were great... \*sigh\* and the ending feels totally relatable. |
| Aug 28 21:31:58 | 4h 33m | ARSONIST | ♥ 1 | This is amazing. I lost multiple rounds because I was just staring at the burning paper effect and wondering how you did it. The visuals really are amazing both artistically and technically. The game mechanics is fun too but there are some cases where the game enters a locked state till an item fall near one of the remaining players. This mainly happens when a large part has been burnt and most of the items fall in this part beyond the reach of anyone. Also, I feel that the game ends quickly because the first fire heavily determines the outcome. Overall, it was really pleasant to play this game and I hope you extend it with more stuff (maybe larger areas, fire extinguishers, etc). Excellent Job. |
| Aug 28 23:56:21 | 2h 24m | DETRITUS | ♥ 2 | I had no idea what was going on but I am sure that I was having fun. To be honest, the number of navigation controls had me overwhelmed so I only used W/S + Mouse and rarely A/D. Although the LD page contains instructions, I feel that an in-game tutorial would be nice since trying out and getting used to the controls was my main problem. Beyond that, flying and shooting was really fun and I spent most of my time shooting everything I see to examine if they will explode (or at least get damaged). The game looks so good too. I especially like the sphere that surrounds the zone. The sound effects and music were my favorite part of the game. The menu also looks good but after losing the mouse stayed locked and I couldn't click anything so I used Alt-F4 to exit the game. Overall, besides the few points that need some polishing, it was really great. |
| Aug 30 16:52:31 | 40h 56m | Space Cadet | ♥ 1 | That was interesting. The game is sooo meta and as a person who hates idle clicker but still find them addictive, I totally relate to this game (I also fear that I will break my keyboard). The main problem I have with the game is the motion blur; While it gives the game a dreamy feeling, it makes it feel to laggy and picking the space bars was a nightmare. I see in your comment above that it made the ending feel better so I suggest that you either decrease the strength of the blur and dial it up again near the end of the game. To be honest, I was not sure what I was doing and game became weirder as I progress but it was a really nice experience overall. |
| Aug 31 16:06:31 | 23h 14m | Froggily | ♥ 0 | Nice game. The music is nice and give the game a nice mood. However, the game itself had some problems for me. I don't know it is intended that I stand on the water or not because it seems that I can. And if it is intended to stand on water, why is there lily pads? is it so that bugs can eat it? Also, Pressing on the full stomach doesn't seem to do any effect (or I didn't notice any effect to say the least) except remove the bugs in it. The lily pads and the bugs keeps getting stuck on the left side then burst out after they have accumulated. The problem is that I don't know how much of what I mentioned is intentional or not and I also don't know if there is a winning or losing state. However, the game is still fun as it currently is and it made me feel relaxed. Good job. |
