I liked the idea of the controls but found using them to be weird. I had some problems with getting stuck right on the border of two lines. Most of the issues I ran into were to do with trying to maintain enough height to get over the spikes. Having to release and press the button when I moved into a square to continue hovering and pressing an against square stopping hovering got me far more than going too slow. It might have worked better if hovering was just tied to having the button down instead of when it is pressed. That way you have more control over when to stop hovering.
Siding along a large flat plane was fun. Being able to build up a lot of speed when timing key presses correctly worked well.
Fun with control scheme experiments. But was waay to wierd for me to even clear the first level. Really really nice graphics! Good job!

I absolutely loved the art for the game! Unfortunately, the control scheme was really too experimental for me. I just couldn't force myself to bear through more than two levels. :( Still, congratulations on finishing the game! I feel like the controls could be better if the keypresses between tiles were recognized a bit different way. It can be rather frustrating to be stuck between say 8 and 9 tile.

Couldnt even jump over the first spikes :/ But the art is extremly impressive, looking forward to your next game... with better controls. Maybe you should consider that space for the jetpack would be way easier to use. ;)
Cool game, a very different experience! The art is really good and it has nice music also. I couldn't get past the third stage though, the flying + moving forward thing felt a little off to me. Congratulation on your entry :)
I like the art and music. But I have to agree with others, the controls seemed too weird. using a single key to hover would've been much better.

Thank you all for your comments! I agree it's hard to control. I really liked @keyurrana 's way of fixing it. We will implement a post-jam version soon

The art looks gorgeous and music is really nice. To be honest, I gave up; I retried the 1st level more than 10 times but I failed miserably at the spikes. I know that I need training but I couldn't do it after trying so many times. My only suggestion is make the player switch automatically to hovering after he reaches a location instead of having to press again so that flying over spikes would be easier. Overall, it is a creative idea and a nice game and I enjoyed trying out such a unique control method.
Reminded me of QWOP a bit! Refreshing controls! I sucked hard though!

Thanks for having played my game. :v: Refreshing controls, however it took me 10min to understand how to combine motion and jetpack to cross the spike. After that another 5-10min to success the second level with the pressure of the monster  Nevertheless, same as some others here, the third level was too much! The idea was really good!

Interesting game. I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/pT1wbP1q_Ao

Pretty cool game! I liked how you experimented with a different control scheme. It made the game a bit frustrating but in a good way :)
I managed to beat the game, but was super close to dying at the spikes just before the door at the end of the 3rd level.

I think the idea is really great to use only the numbers to go further. Has a touch of a couch party game where everyone has one try and than has to give the keyboard to the next. And the art is also really well done. I like espiacally the design of the the alien. :D But I could't beat the second level. These spikes are not good for my mental health. xD That's because I said it could be a good party game. Anyway, I like it. Well done. :)
The way movement was designed is very interesting and makes this a challenging experience. The graphics are nice too.

Would be nice if you also inform the player of the character's current number instead of the numbers that are being pressed.
