Aug 12 23:15:02 Character Assassin ♥ 0 I really like the idea and i'd love to see a fuller version, I really think you could do a lot with this concept!
Aug 13 09:50:51 10h 35m Space for garbage ♥ 1 Well done on your first entry. I think with some polish and further development, different trash types, powerups, GUI etc, you could have something really fun. I can especially see it as a mobile game.
Aug 14 12:24:11 26h 33m Meager ♥ 1 I found this tough due to the bullet speed, but I enjoyed the concept. Reminded me of this arcade tank game I can't remember the name of, back on the Amiga. I liked the impossible level, I think I would be liked to have seen hand created general levels in arcade mode instead of random generated ones. Stream: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095## Game at 1:50ish
Aug 14 12:25:55 1m 44s Geometry Merge ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this one! I ended up playing for quite some time. I found a good-ish strategy was to mash space at the start and then work with what you've been given. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095## game at 5:00
Aug 14 12:27:02 1m 07s Brick by Brick ♥ 0 Reminded me of ZX Spectrum graphics which was very nice. I enjoyed the gameplay, I'm a bit of a sucker for this kind of shooter. Did manage to find a few bugs, but an enjoyable game anyway. Game at 9:52 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095##
Aug 14 12:30:15 3m 13s Computer Funfare. ♥ 1 I liked it, it really reminded me of some net-yaroze tier indie game. I had a lot of 'wat' moments but it had a unique style. I can see this game existing with lots of these minigames tied together in a fast paced style. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095## game at: 17:15
Aug 14 12:33:35 3m 20s 42 Pillars of Stone ♥ 1 Really reminded me of gauntlet. There was a big bug when you can't replay after clicking restart. I think I would have enjoyed the game much more if there were a level system, or somethign to doother than run backwards and shoot enemies. Saying that I did enjoy playing it, and with some workj you could have something really cool. Art is good but I had trouble understanding when I was getting hit. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095## : game at 22:17
Aug 14 12:35:59 2m 24s 42_GetOut ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this and played it to completion. The game shares mechanics with my entry. There were some physics bugs but I think they only added to the mood. I would love to see this as a full game, and I think the enemies were a nice touch. Sound also exceptional. I would play a full version of this. Game at 26:35 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095##
Aug 14 12:37:43 1m 44s Faceguy ♥ 1 It looks like a minigame, but I was getting engrossed in it. Some mechanics aren't explained, like the shrapnel and the scoring, but it is quite intuitive in terms of controls nad you pick up what to do soon enough. gameplay at 28:49 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095##
Aug 14 12:39:33 1m 50s Evolucity - Build as high as you can! ♥ 1 This was a unique take on the theme I think. The graphics were very nice, it was only later I saw I could rotate the camera. I would have liked to have seen a pre-placement highlight or similar, as well as a 'next building' preview but the theme as a whole holds up and it's satisfying to grow your jenga city. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095## gameplay at 24:50 (sorry, forgot to resize the screen for this!)
Aug 14 12:41:50 2m 17s Aeromancer ♥ 1 This was such a polished entry and I really enjoyed playing it. My only gripe was that it required a lot of quick timing, like jumping and then using a parachute, or stunning and attacking an enemy. Other than that, it's just proper lush. The particles really add to it, and while I was terrible first time, I went on to play it a lot after the stream. Really cool, hope you take it further. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/296991095## gameplay at : 40:00
Aug 14 12:43:09 1m 19s Space Compact ♥ 0 I liked this. It reminded me a lot of a game I used to love, Subspace : Continuum. Really simple idea, you're a space trader, but there are enemies and asteroids. I think this has a lot of scope for future growth. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/space-compact gameplay at 46:31
Aug 14 12:45:49 2m 40s MondrianCraft ♥ 1 I did enjoy it, and completed it. It was tough knowing which blocks mixed with others, which led to trial and error without any sort of pattern. I can see this being a lot of fun with some relaxing background music, and maybe some sort of hint as to which blocks can be joined. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/mondriancraft gameplay at 50:00
Aug 14 22:33:52 9h 48m Quatris - LD42 - Running out of Space ♥ 1 I liked the room rotating, I've not seen it in a tetris clone before. My gripes were that I found it quite easy, the pieces didn't seem to speed up. Controls were solid, not at all frustrating which can happen a lot in these games. gameplay at 12:00: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297325479
Aug 14 22:36:09 2m 17s Protect the Core ♥ 1 a fun shooter. I liked the graphics styling. I think the laser charge takes a little too long to charge. I liked the responsive movement. Found it quite difficult to be honest but that's more down to my skill! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297325479 - gameplay at 17:00
Aug 14 22:38:33 2m 24s Space Defender ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this, and I've played it a few times now. My only gripe is with the controls and knowing which ship you have selected. Other than that I really enjoyed it, I think there is a lot of potential for growth with different block types, powerups etc. Did manage to be overpowered a few times but it was fun to play for sure. gameplay at 22:00ish - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297325479
Aug 14 22:41:46 3m 13s The City Of Forgotten Toys ♥ 1 A unique experience. While I had no idea what to do, the game is definitely memorable, especially the sound design. Some bugs, but maybe a tutorial would be a good idea for this one! gameplay at 1:40 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297336881
Aug 14 22:45:09 3m 23s MoodFood ♥ 3 It was fun. I loved the style. I only disliked the player gun, I felt it wasn't impactful enough. Also, sometimes I didn't know when I was being hit or what was going on in terms of screen glitchy effect. It looks lovely, however, and the mechanics work well. Highly rated and recommended in any case. gameplay at about 1 minute in: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297339046
Aug 14 22:47:12 2m 03s PIM : Product Input Management ♥ 1 This was a fun and tidy little game. At first I had no idea what to do; I didn't like that some blocks shared the same colour but were different types. Other than that, I liked it, and I think it works really well. gameplay at 6 minutes : https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297339046
Aug 14 22:50:24 3m 12s Night Shift ♥ 0 This was fun. I have seen the mechanic before in an older FPS game and it works well here. I am a terrible driver, but the logic of the way the puzzles works is good. Good style in terms of graphics, and the ragdoll effects on the drivers is funny. I think I would like to see a mode where you can sort of scrub through time and erase your mistakes, but that's probably because I wasn't very good at it! gameplay at around 13 minutes: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297339046
Aug 14 22:55:54 5m 30s Bombing Run ♥ 2 Jeez, where to begin. The level is massive! I actually felt tense towards the end when I was down to the last few seconds after having gotten lost. I like how the bomb defusal mechanic is intuitive. There is just so much stuff everywhere, I like the clutter placed in the levels and the general level of detail in both amount of stuff and defusal gameplay/walking simulator is great for having been made in three days. Well done guys gameplay at 18:30: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297339046
Aug 15 18:23:00 19h 27m wat do? ♥ 0 I found it tough! The sound effects were nice. I had trouble with the controls, I think it'd work well on a controller instead of a keyboard.I was bad at it, but I can see the levels were well designed and I like that it isn't explained in terms of tutorial, but through gameplay. I'd like to see a further fleshed out version too. gameplay at 10:50 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571
Aug 15 18:24:47 1m 47s Dear Leader's Diet Plan ♥ 1 This was a unique game in terms of style and mechanics. I liked how polished it looks from the get go. I wasn't entirely sure what to do, or how think I had to get Kim for the level to be passed. Well done on graphics, and the controls were responsive too. gameplay at around 15:00 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571
Aug 15 18:26:33 1m 46s Pig Pile ♥ 0 Nice audio and I liked the graphical style; its very chunky. Good controls, I think the collisions were well done. I would like it if the melee attack was faster. Design of the sprites was really good too, and the animations. gameplay at around 19:00 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571
Aug 15 18:29:55 3m 22s worm.exe ♥ 1 I liked the idea, but I wasn't clear on what to do at first. I thik it could work well with some variation, powerup types files or similar. Saying that, what was presented was well made, there wasn't a frustrating moment in terms of controls. I found it quite easy once I got to a certain point. Maybe the virus could have moved the sorting folders to add difficulty. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571 gameplay at 23:00ish
Aug 15 18:32:01 2m 06s Abalite Crystal Defender ♥ 0 Loved the FPS/Tower defense hybrid style. I didn't play for long but i think there is potential. There were some bugs with collision and for the player, and it was a shame there was no sound. For a LD game though? Really impressive graphics and solid gameplay for only 2-3 days creation. gameplay at 25:00ish - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571
Aug 15 18:34:17 2m 16s SpaceRunner ♥ 1 Lovely style graphically, and well made audio. My one gripe was that you can't seem to finish the first level unless you retain a jump. I think you should be able to, but maybe having a jump left will give you a bonus. The collision boxes also seemed a bit too large, especially when dealing with spikes. Other than that, fun to play, and I'll be replaying it.I'd like to see a fleshed out version. gameplay at 30:00 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571
Aug 15 18:35:43 1m 26s Pastien Le Pingouin ♥ 2 I liked the audio, and it was a very happy, fun game to play. I think you could develop it further, animations for penguins getting hit. The music speeding up when the game gets faster is a nice touch. Some variation in level would be good, think ramps, holes to fall down, moving enemies etc. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297624571 gameplay at 32:00 ish
Aug 16 19:48:59 25h 13m SINGULARITY ♥ 1 I think the presentation is cool. I didn't really know what to do so I was chasing the warp points. Same with trading, resources etc, I wasn't sure where to get cargo at the start. I think it controls well, but I felt a bit directionless midgame. I think the background music is good. Most of all, I think the game would benefit from the plot being described, maybe some sort of mission to achieve on each level. gameplay here at about 2 mins in: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
Aug 16 19:52:37 3m 38s ReMind LD-42 ♥ 1 I really like the concept. As others have said I agree that the intro was way too long. Gameplay was simple but I think there is a lot of growth and the storytelling is a good aspect to explore too. I wasn't a fan of the sound effects, they were a bit too loud for me. I can see this working as an aspect of a larger game, or with further expanded mechanics; different thought sizes, speeds maybe. gameplay at around 8 mins: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
Aug 16 19:54:12 1m 35s What Is On The Walls Inside ♥ 1 Loved the art, the presentation and the storytelling, as well as the multiple storylines. An impressive amount of work done over the course of the weekend, well done. Have played some VN's but never seen the 'Like'/'dislike' mechanic, thought that was really cool. Gameplay at around 12 minutes: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
Aug 16 19:57:21 3m 09s Cosmic Escape 1999 ♥ 0 I liked the style and the retro graphics, especially the pixel camera, really cool. Really reminded me of Descent. It was tough. I think I'd like it a lot more if I could survive for longer! gameplay at around 17:30 - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021## (I was playing it without recording, derp!)
Aug 16 19:58:44 1m 23s Spaced Out ♥ 1 I liked this, thought it was a bit too slow for me. Can't fault the art at all, and with these sorts of games it can be frustrating if the controls are bad, luckily here I think they are solid. I think it'd be cool to see this at double speed, as I didn't really notice the ship increasing in size much. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021## gameplay at 19:00ish
Aug 16 20:00:59 2m 15s TeTrans ♥ 0 I really liked the mechanics of this. With some graphical polish I can see this really working. I think it is a logically sound game, but I'd like to be able to pick up fuel. maybe some paths could be 'fuel paths', where you regain fuel? Really liked the game in any case, I think it was cleverly done. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021## Gameplay at 22:00 which I messed up a bit, buh :C
Aug 16 20:04:09 3m 10s TrackBlasters ♥ 1 I am bad at this game! The graphics were very well made. I'd like to have been able to drive across diagonal gaps. Really fits the theme and this would be really cool multiplayer, a frustration showed when I would spawn right behind a gap I'd blown up. Still a well made game and really hammered the theme. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021## gameplay at 25:00
Aug 16 20:10:10 6m 01s Grid Battle ♥ 1 I'm afraid I had no idea what to do, I've never played Baiten Kaios and I'm unfamiliar with TCG's as a whole. I think starting off with a tutorial would have been a good shout here, because as an outsider I felt I could tell this game had some very complex logic behind it but I couldn't really grasp it without knowledge of the genre. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021## Gameplay at 29:00
Aug 16 20:12:42 2m 32s Out Of Space ♥ 1 It was a really funny game, probably the funniest I've played this jam. My only bit of constructive feedback would be that I felt the lanes were a bit too thin, and I would prefer hitting an object to slow you down rather than stop you completely. Really well done, both cool graphics, style and responsive gameplay. I really enjoyed playing Out of Space. gameplay at 33:00ish https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
Aug 16 20:15:02 2m 20s LectureRush ♥ 3 I didn't realise what I had to do at first, didn't even use the mouse until my third playthrough. Some instructions on what to do in the page bio at least would have been good. Cool graphics, i like the unique students and the general style is very nice. gameplay at 37:00ish: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
Aug 16 20:17:29 2m 27s Spaceness ♥ 1 As others said I found it a bit slow at the beginning, I could do nothing and just watch it. Did like the style chosen for the visuals. I think if you ramped the speed up by like 200% this would be wacky. Short bit of gameplayat 42:00ish - https://www.twitch.tv/videos/298139021##
