Wow this looks really nice. The haze makes the whole thing seem like cells in a body. Hard to critique as I didn't run into anything that felt terribly wrong.

Graphic are really cool, i love this glow effect
Not a long experience (unless you're better than I am ) but definitely an effective one. Simple mechanics, careful aesthetic, adept usage of the theme, all working together to make an effective experience. Well done.
The balance seems definitely in favor of the growth, so the game seems to be intentionally short, and that seems effective for the type of game that it is. I think I would have liked more weapons in my arsenal (maybe I just feel so helpless with the default peashooter), but that would have required more coding time, so I understand why you didn't add more.
As previous commenters mentioned, nothing seems terribly wrong with this game - so good job.
Graphics are indeed rad, the sound design was minimal but satisfactory. It's tough as hell, but in a good way that makes you want to try again and do better! Wish it was slightly more apparent that you could sweep the laser, figuring that out (thanks for the tip btw) made it much easier to get farther along (but not much farther). Well done!
I enjoyed this entry. I think the take on the theme was quite clever. I like it how you can manage blob growth by shooting it. There is a small and weird bug when you stop shooting that makes several bullets fire out in excessively rapid succession. It's like you forgot to turn off a bool when not shooting, or something. Also, taking a page from the Vlambeer book, have you considered doing something when the player is not shooting? Say something like charging the laser more quickly? Just a thought.
@mike-inprinciple Thank you for your feedback, I can't reproduce the bug you described on my laptop though. And yeah your suggestion makes sense.
Really nice. The rapid growth was nasty! Probably needs a bit of balancing, but I guess as most games this time, the point is to lose. :) I liked that the shots bounced off like pool balls. Would be nice if you could kind of trick shot and hurt all tentacles. All in all, very nice submission!
A bit hard to control, but looks and feel nice, I kinda wish it had some very spacey audio to go with it too!
It was pretty difficult to contain the growth, as you could keep shooting on the same spot and it still got bigger. I think there is some balancing missing. Still nice job :)
a fun shooter. I liked the graphics styling. I think the laser charge takes a little too long to charge. I liked the responsive movement. Found it quite difficult to be honest but that's more down to my skill!

My best time was 1:21. I liked the graphics and if there had been some background music to go along with it, I think this game could actually have been pretty moody!
2 things: - I wish there was a way for the lazer charge to charge faster (or maybe I missed something). Right now, I can really only fire off one lazer and then the side I didn't fire the lazer at grows out of control. - Shooting the big enemies causes little enemies to spawn out of it in all directions. Sometimes they will shoot out at full speed towards my core, which can feel cheap
Overall it was a competent little shooter!
I love those visuals <3 And then I noticed chain reactions and was overly satisfied. Really good job.
Nice concept! I like how there is an impending sense of doom, but you're never left without doing anything, and there's always a slimmer of hope that you'll get the next laser in time; You balance fairly nicely the hope/despair of players with your design.
Really great mood and graphics, fun game play. I wonder if there are good sound and music, it will help a lot to make this atmosphere more attractive. Overall, it was great!
This game is pretty tough with a touch pad, and I'm not very good at this kind of game anyway, but it's a solid entry! It does look really good. The softness really adds to the game, and makes the enemies stand out. Though it was hard to tell where you were. I tried using the laser and it didn't seem to do much, but I might have just used it wrong. I was sweeping like you mentioned!
I really like this microscopic world. And the the growing world fits the theme perfect. :D And at firt I thought the particles are exists too long in the world because they only lay arround after you have shoot them BUT then I has constantly shoot against the core while I was circling around him and that was a way more effective because your bullets scattered in all directions and hit all the enemies.
A background sound would be also great. Sound make games more enjoyable especially those shooters. And it's sometime a bit difficult to see where you are after you got hit and spawn again(I guess) because the color of you and the enemies is the same. The player should always can distinguish who is he and what is the enemy. :)
Neat game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/tG45WDfIQds
