Felt very difficult to shoot the enemies without getting shot yourself. I did like the music though!

Really cool, especially with the level generation. That being said, some of the levels seemed to be wayyyy to hard , with nearly instant death. Still, any level generation in 48 hours is impressive. Besides that, I'd just recommend making it so you're just facing where you move instead of it taking one move to turn and another to move. Overall though, great!

I love it! 😃 I'm impressed that you managed to fit a multiplayer mode in, along with the regular mode. While I don't find the idea where movement *feels* like it's turn-based (but it's not) very interesting, the execution was done very well! I also spent quite a long time trying to beat the "impossible" level... the name certainly doesn't lie.

This game is tough as heck! Couldn't really get past level 2, my high score was 72, and you're not kidding when you said the impossible level was impossible. Congrats on your ludum dare entry, though I wish I was good enough at the game for the "running out of space" element to become more of a concern! The graphics and audio were 'minimalist' but that works well for a ludum dare entry and they suited one another nicely! Good job.

I am impressed that you had time to implement multiplayer. I like the music a lot even if its such repetitive :p

Wow, really hard game! I think it would have been better if you didn't have to spam the buttons to move, but you just had to hold it down :)

I personally would also have made the bullet speed slightly slower, just to give the player a bit more of a chance to move away.

Overall, pretty decent job!!

Not Bad! It would be nice if you could hold down the buttons to move, and if the enemies couldn't instant kill you right when you start but otherwise it was pretty good

Wow. This is a hard game. I couldn't get past level 3.

I honestly think that the "you have to turn before you can move" aspect is more frustrating than anything else. It is especially a problem because moving away from one enemy in one direction means that another enemy can simply shoot you along the other axis, which is usually how I died.

I never really got the chance to use some of the special kinds of tiles that were placed on screen (i.e. the bombs and the mirrors) simply because I died too quickly.

All that considered, this is a solidly built game -- just not one that I can really play.

Tried 1P mode and find it hard for me. I hope I can keep moving while holding arrow keys.

But overall this game is great and extremely challenging (I retried again and again).

Man this game is difficult lol, only issue is I spawned in to a level to die. The music is a bit repetitive after a while as well, cool concept though.

kappa-b 2018-08-14 03:42

I love the color choice! overall well done. It would be nice if the enemies would spawn a few tiles away tho. giving the player a safe zone, enough time to react to a enemies. sometimes when I start a new level the enemy would spawn right next to me. no time to react instant death. great work overall tho!

Just two little suggestions. First, let the bullet flies slower. Now there is no way to escape from that. All you could do is to shot as quick as possible. The second thing is to separate the rotation input and the movement input, making the experience more smooth. Generally speaking, a good arcade style game!

I found this tough due to the bullet speed, but I enjoyed the concept. Reminded me of this arcade tank game I can't remember the name of, back on the Amiga. I liked the impossible level, I think I would be liked to have seen hand created general levels in arcade mode instead of random generated ones.

Fun and challenging.

I think you have the basis for a good game here, but the between the absolutely brutal difficulty and how frequently I spawned only to immediately die, I had a hard time finding it to be a fun experience. It's absolutely an impressive entry: the graphics are simple but cohesive, the music is nice, and jamming that many modes(and multiplayer) into such a short timeframe is really quite an achievement. I feel though that if you had instead spent that time on making the core game experience feel more fair, and given the player more time to react plus any sort of non-visual feedback about what was occurring, this could have been fun to play. Really though, nicely done on executing on so many things in the time you did!
