May 1 21:48:03 Star Traveller ♥ 5 Absolutely adorable. Loved the art style, and the little details were really thoughtful. The star traveller looked like a little axolotl! 👍
May 1 22:11:34 23m 31s Hibernaculum ♥ 1 Really lovely atmosphere and graphics. Very creative for "A small world" theme! I do wish the audio had looped, and some of the rotations were difficult to control. Really well done! :)
May 1 22:24:39 13m 05s Little Sprout Garden ♥ 0 Really relaxing and pretty - like a real garden! Sometimes spawning seemed to get "stuck" in the browser version, and I wasn't able to spawn any more characters or objects. Well done game! :)
May 1 22:40:27 15m 48s Mediator ♥ 1 Fantastic graphics and art style. It's a little thing, but I really loved that you used dark purple instead of black for the background of space. I know it's weird, but I love just that little difference from all the other space games! Two things I noticed - in the browser version, I wasn't able to scroll down to see the whole screen, and the "options" option of the main menu in the Windows download didn't link to anything. Don't know if that's helpful at all, but there you go! I would be so interested in playing again if you decided to finish up the story somehow. I think it has a ton of potential, and even just in one scene, you sucked me in! I must know more about the Io incident!
May 1 23:47:00 1h 06m SUPER METROARIO ♥ 1 Wow, I can tell a lot of effort went into designing this! Loved the music changes and graphics, and the puzzle kept me hooked. Great idea and well done! If you're interested in checking out our entry: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/rovr
May 1 23:54:47 7m 47s Small World ♥ 0 Just a heads up, after opening I get this error and can't play the game: ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation ShaderName: shdr_depth D3DXCompile failed - result at gml_Script_xl_depth ############################################################################################ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- stack frame is gml_Script_xl_depth (line 0) gml_Object_obj_camera_Draw_0 Not sure if anyone else has had this happen, but I thought I'd leave you a comment and let you know!
May 2 00:05:16 10m 29s Pale Blue Dot ♥ 1 Hearing Carl Sagan talk is always a pleasure, great idea :)
May 2 00:11:06 5m 50s The World is Large ♥ 0 Cute idea and very poetic.
May 2 00:18:20 7m 14s Cosmos Minimus ♥ 0 I dig the graphics and atmosphere, but the controls got a bit buggy when inside the planets. Overall, well done :) If you're interested, our entry can be found here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/rovr
May 3 18:06:31 41h 48m It's a Small World ♥ 1 Really great idea for the theme, and I think you actually made it pretty eerie and creepy! I dig the pixellated art style, and the audio added to the frantic-ness of playing more than 1 character at once. Well done!
May 3 18:14:35 8m 04s Ceo - A bunny in the pocket omniverse ♥ 2 Very cute game, and I really enjoyed the graphics. I think it's a great first foray into Unity, well done :) Hope you continue with Ceo so they can keep exploring the universe!
May 3 18:23:54 9m 19s Slice of Life ♥ 4 Really loved the art style and graphics. I also really dig that it started off so frantic while the player is figuring everything out. Great job! I wish I had more constructive feedback for you haha.
May 3 18:40:51 16m 57s Bubblenaut ♥ 1 Absolutely stunning art and graphics. Seriously beautiful game. I really like the relaxed atmosphere and gameplay so I could enjoy how lovely everything looks. Great job! :)
May 3 18:49:04 8m 13s Chip's Planet Defense ♥ 0 Hi @john-holden, just a heads up that the game keeps crashing when I try to open it. Wahh! :(
May 3 19:05:57 16m 53s One Push Man ♥ 1 Really cute game. Loved the graphics and art style. Most of my deaths were because I was too excited to push the slimes off the cliff haha. Well done!
May 3 19:16:34 10m 37s Down the Rabbit Hole ♥ 4 This was a really clever idea for the theme. Great execution and super enjoyable. Just overall a great entry! :)
May 3 19:39:55 23m 21s (Web) The Small Worlds ♥ 1 Good entry. It took me a couple tries to figure out the controls (I kept re-clicking on planets to move them again, which created another planet on top of the first). I do wish the levels had differed a bit more from each other in terms of strategy. Overall, well done!
May 3 19:57:24 17m 29s Place Them All ♥ 2 I really enjoyed this game. Very simple but super fun. It's taking me a while to get a good balance with all the tribes, I'm a terrible peacekeeper! Very well done :)
May 3 20:22:09 24m 45s Planet Domination ♥ 1 Really like the gameplay and art style. I agree with the comment that some re-spawning cover would be great, but overall, I think you made a great game. Well done :)
May 3 20:32:09 10m 00s Little Infinity ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this game. The graphics and art are gorgeous - I love the way the player walks! He's so sassy haha. Really well done :)
May 3 20:43:03 10m 54s Spermicorn ♥ 2 Absolutely hilarious and charming game. Loved it. I like to think this is how your (the developers') lives began, as determined little spermicorn. Can't wait for the pig sequel! :)
May 3 20:51:20 8m 17s Unnatural Resources ♥ 1 Good entry. I do wish there had been some more level-type elements to it, or an increase in difficulty along the way. Overall, well done :)
May 3 20:59:24 8m 04s Orbitunes ♥ 2 This was such a clever idea, and really lovely. The gameplay was almost therapeutic. Fantastic work, I love it :)
May 3 21:39:54 40m 30s Tiny Venture ♥ 3 Nice game. I really appreciate that you put in a god-mode - the scenery was really lovely and I enjoyed just exploring. Great job!
May 3 21:45:30 5m 36s Bill's Micro Adventure ♥ 1 Good entry. I wish there had been some audio, and maybe a bit more variation during the gameplay. Overall, great concept and well done :)
May 3 22:49:50 1h 04m Destructo Island ♥ 2 Really fun game with fantastic graphics. I do wish that the crosshairs had blended less with the background, but overall, great submission :)
May 3 23:05:31 15m 41s A World In Her Eye ♥ 0 Really lovely graphics, music, and atmosphere. As other commenters have mentioned, I do wish the story was a bit slower so I could enjoy the game environment. Overall, great work :)
May 3 23:35:54 30m 23s D.A.D.S. (Destitute Agoraphobic Dad Simulator) ♥ 1 Really clever idea! Kudos on your creativity. I do wish there had been a bit more to do during the 3 days, but maybe the point was that with nothing going on, it's easier for depression to set in? Either way, great game, I very much enjoyed it :)
May 3 23:53:37 17m 43s Murder Mitosis ♥ 1 Overall a great game. I love the party feel and that you can play with multiple people. Well done! :)
May 4 00:10:10 16m 33s The Spoiled Prince ♥ 1 Really creative idea and gorgeous art! Great job :)
May 4 00:31:30 21m 20s Asteroid Hopper ♥ 1 You made a really nifty puzzler with some great graphics and sound. Well done :)
May 4 01:22:10 50m 40s Skylands ♥ 3 Great art and gameplay. Would for sure enjoy being able to zoom out, but overall, really well done! :)
May 6 18:27:22 65h 05m Plutiny ♥ 2 Really adorable idea and great execution. I also appreciate that you added an upgrade system! I do think the game could benefit from more of a progression between levels, since each wave was essentially the same strategy with the same enemies and positions. Overall though, really well done! :)
May 6 18:44:43 17m 21s LD38 - Big Dreams ♥ 1 I know other commenters have mentioned this, but I really enjoyed the Toy Story-vibe here. It's like a spinoff of what might've happened if Buzz never accepted that he's a toy! So kudos on a great idea. I also really appreciated the scattering of powerups and enemy spawns to keep things interesting. Maybe considering adding some kind of objective as the difficulty progresses, like riding the nerf bullets to another location, if you decide to expand on this game in the future. Unrelated, but @iron-leonem reviewed my game rovR a few days ago on twitch. I just wanted to say thank you - I really enjoyed watching, and you gave fantastic constructive criticism. Thanks for taking the time to do that :)
May 6 18:51:27 6m 44s ANTIVIRUS ♥ 1 Great idea for the theme. You also have gorgeous graphics! As other commenters have mentioned, I would've enjoyed being able to hold the mouse button down to fire, and just a heads up, the main menu in the game instructs the player to press right click to fire, not left click. Overall, really well done :)
May 6 19:01:27 10m 00s Yours ♥ 2 Really cute game with bomb music. I love atmospheric games like this, and getting to build the land the tribe lives on added to that in a great way. I did notice sometimes my tribesmen would just starting running into the oceans, which I know you mentioned in the description was to keep them from floating into space, so maybe consider adding little boats with them if you decide to expand on this game in the future. Well done!
May 6 19:09:16 7m 49s Ragdoll Wars ♥ 1 Cute game and really original idea for the theme. I also appreciate the addition of a resize button since the download is windowed. As someone else mentioned, this could be a great party game! Well done.
May 6 19:18:53 9m 37s Glass Houses ♥ 1 Wow. Very, very eerie - and that's a compliment! You've gone in a really interesting direction with the theme here, so great job. Side note - the characters kind of look like Slenderman to me, which probably contributed to the eeriness haha.
May 6 19:28:46 9m 53s Glade in the Sky ♥ 0 Good job! I think some fine tuning the positioning of the player on the platforms would be beneficial, since sometimes it looked like I was floating in space. I also think not adding music was the right idea, too - it contributed to the empty atmosphere very nicely. Well done!
May 8 00:32:04 29h 03m Strangeness ♥ 2 Well done! I had a lot of fun playing but unfortunately got stuck in level 5 haha. Great graphics too :)
May 8 00:44:56 12m 52s Recursive nightmare ♥ 1 Really cool concept for the theme. Wish I could've figured out how to get to the end (is there an end?). Well done!
May 8 01:08:41 23m 45s Murder 38 - Episode One: A Small World ♥ 1 Fantastic entry. I don't know what else to say. Great job :)
May 9 20:13:13 43h 04m Calor ♥ 0 Very ambitious and many kudos to you for pulling it off! I really appreciate the extra effort you took in adding a tutorial. Well done :)
May 9 20:20:09 6m 56s Legends Of Block ♥ 1 Simple and a lot of fun. Good job!
May 9 20:58:06 37m 57s A world too small and no jetpack ♥ 3 Hats off on the art style and graphics. Like another commenter mentioned, the win/lose screens are especially cute. The delay between hitting jump and actually jumping was a bit awkward, and I noticed that I wasn't able to move left/right while jumping either. Maybe consider making that an option in a future release? Overall, well done!
May 9 21:12:09 14m 03s RoboLand ♥ 1 Great little puzzler. I loved the graphics and sound, and the player is just too cute! As other commenters have mentioned, the LD version is pretty buggy, and I had trouble getting the game to keep working past level 3 (I would get zoomed in on the blue background, and then the window would turn black). I'll be interested to check out your post-LD updates, since I think you've got something solid here. Well done! :)
May 9 21:26:05 13m 56s A Relatively Small World ♥ 1 This was a really clever and unique idea for the theme. The art style and audio were fantastic. As other commenters have mentioned, I think fine-tuning the z/x controls so it's not quite so picky and maybe speeding up Dr. Blackcraft's actions would help keep the player integrated into the gameplay. The havoc level creeps up pretty quickly sometimes, so having to wait while the doctor picks up the wrong thing, sets it down, and picks up the right thing can become a bit frustrating. I also agree with @somnium that a portable zip version would be a good idea, so as not to discourage anti-installers haha. Overall, well done!
May 10 00:30:57 3h 04m My Very Own World ♥ 1 Very sweet little game. That really cheered me up :) So thank you!
May 10 01:28:34 57m 37s StopWatch ♥ 2 Cute game! You had a great idea and the art style and mechanics are really well done. I may just be a dummy, but I had to sift through the comments before I figured out that I had to run into the enemies to kill them, so maybe consider putting that more clearly in the description (I kept hitting space, thinking it would do another 'thing'.) Overall, well done!
May 10 01:38:22 9m 48s My Other World ♥ 2 I loved this game. You have a really interesting and unique interpretation of the theme, not to mention the game itself is visually gorgeous (and freaking adorable). The levels are relatively simple but very different from each other, so kudos on that, as well. I enjoyed reading all of the messages/poems, but do wish the text had scrolled through a bit slower, so I could take my time reading them. Overall, fantastic job :)
May 10 01:56:43 18m 21s Escape The World ♥ 1 This is a clever little puzzler! I agree with other commenters that it'd make a great mobile game, as well. I do think implementing something to indicate which colour blocks are active would be a good idea for future releases, but overall, you did a great job here :)
May 10 20:08:42 18h 11m Three of you. ♥ 1 Really cute game with some gorgeous graphics. I do wish the characters had been able to move a bit faster, and I think you should consider adding a way to either cycle through the different animals in the gang or have the non-playable ones have some kind of role, like one finds crystals, one finds food, etc. Overall though, very well done!
May 10 20:18:16 9m 34s Paper Jam! ♥ 1 I really enjoyed this game. The audio tied in perfectly with the art style and graphics, and major kudos to you for hand drawing everything. I did wish I had been able to crouch and look down beneath the platforms, since there were a few times I plowed right into a gear without seeing it. Overall, really well done! :)
May 10 20:26:57 8m 41s Limited Space ♥ 1 This is a really solid game! You did a really great job and managed to get in a lot of different elements. I wish there had been a more over-arching objective other than just the time running out. But overall, very well done! :)
May 10 20:46:25 19m 28s Planet or Die! ♥ 0 This is such a unique and clever game. Great job!
May 13 23:11:35 74h 25m Electric Space Jelly ♥ 1 Loved it. Adorable art and graphics, and you incorporated a nice little story, too. I also appreciate that I can shoot through my planet and not hurt it. Very well done!
May 13 23:41:19 29m 44s A Perfectly Lovely Expedition ♥ 2 Lovely art style, graphics, and audio. Even the monsters were just adorable! I loved having to play around and explore to figure out the gameplay. Really well done! :)
May 13 23:51:53 10m 34s A Giant Hitch ♥ 1 This was a very cute, funny game. I cracked up at "Food for Giants." I did notice that I was able to cheese the work segment by positioning myself in between the two buttons and jumping, but I thought both tasks were overall really fun. Well done! :)
May 13 23:58:48 6m 55s It's A Small World And It's Gonna Get Smaller ♥ 1 Really fun, and very unique idea! Your art style is lovely, too. It was difficult to resist just rampaging the little world haha. Well done!
May 14 00:06:25 7m 37s War of Quiz! ♥ 2 Nice entry! Like other commenters have mentioned, I think this game could benefit from having non-reproducible questions in a round and less obviously wrong answers in the medium and hard modes. Overall though, I enjoyed this, and I'm looking forward to seeing the PvP version! :)
May 14 00:22:38 16m 13s ATLANTIS ♥ 2 Really well done. This game was stunning to look at, and the music was perfect! I do think it could benefit from either a small tutorial, or more explanation in-game about characters, turns, and mana use. It took me a few rounds to get the hang of everything, and I also experienced some bugginess with the Ability button. Overall though, you guys made a fantastic game.
May 14 00:53:18 30m 40s Small World Transport ♥ 1 Very cute game, and clever idea! I enjoyed all the little touches, like Pepperidge Farm haha. I'll look forward to seeing the post-Jam version, since not being able to see the packages made things pretty difficult. Well done!
May 17 00:15:54 71h 22m Wake Up ! ♥ 4 Really lovely game. I know the physics are a bit clunky, but I think it adds to the dream-like state of the world, and so do the little girl's floaty jumps. If you decide to expand and make this the tutorial of several more levels, I'll look forward to playing again :)
May 20 16:20:25 88h 04m Hopeless Void ♥ 1 Very clever game, and I agree that it would make a great board game, as well! I think it could benefit from a bit more explanation into the mechanics, either as a small tutorial or in the introduction, because it took me a few tries to get the hang of everything. Overall, well done!
