Nice entry. The visuals and music were great. I loved the setup to have the player "discover" the main mechanic. Would love to see more levels and what kind of mechanic evolution you could come up with.

Really cool game !

I really liked it, the graphics are really awesome, I like the animation of the character that is really fun. Puzzles are quite easy but well thought. You definitely are in my top games. Sound design is really good too.

A cool, relaxing game.

The only thing is maybe it lack some mechanics, I would love to see something more, like I don't know specific teleporters of something like that.

Really good work guys ! Loved it !

neat!

the sound design was top notch on this one, and it is quite nice graphically too.

the gameplay was simple but fun, and you did a great job letting the player figure things out on their own.

my only complaint with this one was that I had no wasd controls. telling the astronaut where to go was a little awkward at times, and wasd movement would have simplified things somewhat. his speed is a little slow, but the animation makes it feel normal.

great job, I haven't seen many compo entries this polished.

Great atmosphere. The graphics and music work perfectly with the puzzley gameplay. It just feels good. Solid Work!

poller 2017-05-01 04:58

you clearly worked as a team. how can this be a compo submit?

kevin-barrios 2017-05-01 16:53

Wow @poller, thanks for pointing that out, total mistake. ~~Trying to see how I can get it changed.~~ *fixed now*

Great atmosphere. Graphics and audio were also superb. I really liked the feedback for every action - pretty much a great game.

One downside though, you milked the main mechanic to the extreme. I felt the main mechanic on it's own got old pretty quick and it lacked a supporting cast of supplementing mechanics. Once I got the hang of it I just repeated what I already learned and it quickly felt like a grind because it wasn't that much of puzzle anymore. You probably ran out of time to implement more mechanics (in that case, welcome to the club).

All in all, a great game though and something you could build on if you choose to do so.

This was an overall lovely experience. The puzzle mechanic was both intuitive and fun and I quite liked the sound design as well! This idea could and should definitely be expanded on.. Great job, guys! :ok_hand: :sparkles:

Lovely looking game and great mechanic, but as Denny mentioned, it would have been great to play with more elements to keep an interest from level to level. I really enjoyed the moment the character went from one side to the other and I would definitely want more of those aha moments.

I really enjoyed this game. The graphics and art are gorgeous - I love the way the player walks! He's so sassy haha. Really well done :)

Very nice visuals. I like that style :) It was very enjoyable playing your game and if you consider adding more levels than I will definitely play them!

I really like the mechanic. Nice ambient music and I love the sound the portal makes. The art all looks great too. My only complaint is in the mouse controls. I would have preferred WASD or maybe click and the character moves to where you click like diablo. I just found myself re-centering my mouse a lot and it felt a bit awkward. Very cool game though. The audio work on this was outstanding. The sound effects were fantastic, and the music was catchy and conveyed the mood. Same thing with the visuals. Everything about the core game absolutely exudes polish.

Except for the movement.

The speed of it is fine, and the animation is cute, but I often found that my astronaut wouldn't move in the direction I was pointing. Sometimes it would work flawlessly, other times I found myself needing to offset my mouse from where I actually wanted it to go. It wasn't by a super extreme amount, but it was just enough to make it distracting. That being said, I didn't play the post jam version. It's totally possible that you've fixed this already.

Fantastic work on this. It was short but sweet as soon as I realized the game mechanic :D

This game looks very lovely. I like the puzzle mechanic. Very neat idea. Awesome art style

I love the aesthetic! I think this is the prettiest game I have seen so far. The puzzle mechanic is solid and a nice take on the theme. Not much else to say really. Awesome work!

davidthelazar 2017-05-04 00:42

This was a pretty neat mechanic, though it never really gets challenging. I think if you continued making more levels that started adding additional mechanics, this could be really cool.

flukeshot 2017-05-04 01:29

Good puzzles. Good mechanics in general actually. The walking sound effect did annoy me a little.

kaisean-games 2017-05-09 19:50

Very nice entry.

I would rather walk with keys than with mouse, because with keys, movement direction is absolute. With mouse, when I wrap around the room, I appear at a point where the angle to the mouse is now different so it changes the movement direction.

Other than that, levels progress nicely, graphics and music are great. Really well done!

awesomealliterationalliance 2017-05-12 19:09

Great Leveldesign. You're introducing the mechanics very smoothly. The audio was also very nice and atmospheric. The only thing that could be better in my opinion are the walking controls. It feels like the direction is not updated very often when you hold the mouse button, but you can still work around that. I was a little bit surprised when i suddenly stood in the starting room again, but i didn't mind. :) Really enjoyed this entry, good work!

That was actually interesting game. Very visually appealing, sounds are awesome. Gameplay is very interesting and simple to understand at the same time, love it! I honestly have no negative things to say about this game. Grat job, guys!
