Pretty cool game. I like the art and the music

It lagged a lot in some places though, and the jump was always at a 1 second delay which was hard to work with.

Sounds and looks really good. In my opinion the UI could do some work, but other then that really cool game.

I had no lag issues

Great game! I like the art and the idea that you cant defend yourself. I think the game is a bit too hard because of the small input delay and the fact that you cant change direction when jumping. Also the RNG with the fuel and enemy placement has a large impact on the difficulty, I feel like I was only able to beat the game because I got lucky :P

The art is nice, particularly the 'splash' screens when you win or lose, which look very cute. The gameplay is pretty good, but I think the collision detection between the player and the enemies is pretty harsh at the moment, they are very hard to jump over successfully. My recommendations:

* Tweak the hit detection (and maybe enemy behavior) to make enemies a *lot* easier to avoid * Having done that, tweak the fuel drop algorithm to make it so you have to get past more enemies for each fuel; don't allow the first fuel to spawn with a bunch of enemies, or the last fuel to spawn in a big empty area.

If you do the first without the second, the game will be too easy, and if you do the second without the first, it'll be _way_ too hard, but I think if you did both, you could make this something really fun. You could expand it to include more planets, different enemy types, power ups, etc, if you wanted.

Also, it'd be cool to have some safe areas to stand, so you could catch your breath and admire the art. I found not even the capsule was completely safe.

Many thanks for your nice comments!

@philomory I'm pretty sure your ideas will be helpful. We are planning to expand the game, this will help

Hey, why the enemies hurt me and then on the game over screen seem to love me, hmm? :) They're deliberately sabotaging my escape, those right bastards!

Nice job overall. Could use some breather from time to time (some grace period after taking damage!) - it would be grand if you could work out difficulty curve further, e.g. spawn first barrel somewhere safe, and introduce enemies more gradually. Now, fully random spawn makes some playthroughs very easy, while other are straight from hell :)

Consistent overall, fun art and sound, I had no technical issues. Solid entry. Cheers!

@takusan :grinning: true... I don't know why @inigo always draws enemys loving you in the end screen... looks like an artist mark :grinning:

Hats off on the art style and graphics. Like another commenter mentioned, the win/lose screens are especially cute. The delay between hitting jump and actually jumping was a bit awkward, and I noticed that I wasn't able to move left/right while jumping either. Maybe consider making that an option in a future release? Overall, well done!

mikel 2017-05-09 21:06

@caterein sure, the jump delay will be reduced. Not having control while jumping was intentional (at least at the begging) I wanted to play a bit with giving the fell of low gravity jumps large but with no control... but it is true that at the end it doesn't feel so fun

inigo 2017-05-09 21:30

@takusan @mikel hahahaha that's true. I'm a romantic!

@caterein thank you so much for your nice comments!

OMG! This a very cute and funny game. I absolute like the art and the intro. The music and soundeffects fits. The jump start is to slow for me. I sometimes got hurt from that. Great little game, keep up the great work!

codechomper 2017-05-12 13:47

I loved the art and the ducking mechanic was great, could have used a bit more polish on control feel but I get it 48 hours is not long! Good work, I enjoyed it.

inigo 2017-05-12 18:03

@codechomper @puppetmaster thank you so much for your nice comments!

doc-ill 2017-05-12 19:20

Good job! The art, while simple, was very cohesive and cute. I was barely able to escape on my 3rd try xD

devpaul 2017-05-15 16:56

Nice game! I really liked the art style, but the jumping mechanics felt sluggish, and the lack of control in the air did not help. I think it would be better if the "alien fountain traps" would be out of sync. Also thanks to the random placement of the enemies and the fuel cans, the difficulty became random, sometimes its too hard other times its to easy.

rother-games 2017-05-15 21:28

Good and simple concept, but I was not able to escape. Every time I failed with the 5th or 6th bucket

mar3k 2017-05-15 21:59

Love the graphics and the idea. But the game seems to be bit hard for me

fueelin 2017-05-16 04:46

Nice graphics and mood! I agree with others that the jump felt a bit slow/delayed, though. Cool game!

ccglp 2017-05-16 11:28

Little good idea. The game itself is very simple, but works very well and it can be played out of the box without reading. Something most games can't say, so good work!

wolfyllow 2017-05-17 01:35

I enjoyed the game! For me it seems well balanced game. Since it is a short game, it sounds very reasonable to be a bit more difficult and let the player train his skills over all the tries :)

(I laughed with the 'arrous' instructions! )

Pretty fun and simple game! I liked the graphics and gameplay. As the sound designer of my team I liked the sfx, but they were a bit too loud. Aside of that, cool game!

cydouzo 2017-05-20 11:22

Very good game. Amazing graphics!!! It would deserve a more "funky" music to match with the atmosphere.
