LD15 — Caverns (19)

Caverns of Light by NiallM

Looking forward to that jumping fix, I think it'll make a big difference. I really like this entry but the collision problem makes it hard to enjoy.

Into the Pit: The Endless Caverns by mklee

Juggling is fun. Whoah, I can go way off the top of the screen!

Collapse by gimblll

oh man the walls are escaping it's RotT all over again

F = ma by Draknek

I enjoyed the challenge of the controls, too bad there wasn't more level to navigate.

Rock Warrior by tonic

Interesting gameplay, and I really love the overall style.

below the house by dessgeega

I jumped.

Excavatorrr by Hempuli

Man, you did two games? You should've bundled them together as ESCAVATORRR VS CAVEFROG! SUPER BUDGET PACK.

The Killbots of Cavern Station by Gilvado

Man, this is great.

DiggR by drZool

That was a lot of fun. Makes me think you could do a whole game around Dwarf Fortress flood farming.

Cevern0048 by Sophie Houlden

The best thing about this was how your updates gave me an excuse to take mini-breaks all through the compo.

Cave Dangerous by fydo

Aw, what a cocktease. Starts out brilliant, I wish you'd had more time to add some length.

Akin Revenge by Ariel Yust

Looks really neat, I tried to play but couldn't get very far due to the wacky controls.
If you'd upload a version for people like me who can't get used to using ZXC and space at the same time it might be a lot more accessible.

Fake Gold by BlademasterBobo

oh man this is more intense than Turtle Paint

Sally Spelunker in CAVE EXPLORER by Christine Love

Ohhh, it's a metaphor for washing your hair. I get metaphors. AND allegories.

Kavern Keeper by jarnik

Difficulty is a bit variable (first time I played my dudes won without any interaction from me), but when it gets going it's great. One of my favourites so far.

Lazor Dentist by io42

Eep! I'd like to play, but Mediafire is blocked in my country and doesn't like the proxies I use. Could we please get a mirror?

Shafted! by recursor

That was fun once I got the hang of it. It might've been improved with slightly simplified controls.
(Also, having to switch from keyboard to mouse to restart after dying in a game where you die a lot gets kind of old.)

Heart of Gold by L

Fucking cool concept.

mine by zacaj

Great music--but you didn't make it inside the timeframe, huh? Anyway, good fun for a while.

LD14 — Advancing Wall of Doom (16)

Wally the Wall by zaratustra

I quite like this. I wish the little bastards would stop hugging the walls and jumping in front of my face.
I found it's possible to kill yourself by tapping a direction then tapping back towards your body in the same tick.

Harbinger by FourbitFriday

The idea is good, and the puzzles look fun at first, but the tether thing makes it quite tedious. Since the player can drop the rope when they don't want the wall to move it's not really necessary to have it so tough to pull.

By Touching It With Your Spikes by Super-Dot

I like the control method, surprisingly I don't think I've seen that one before (there was a Donkey Kong thing along the same lines, but this is simpler).

sekhar by sinoth

Because any spheres inside the ring become trapped you can fail quickly and know that you're boned, which wastes the element of time pressure.

Great use of theme, I liked the claustrophobia at the end even though I was just sitting there waiting for the time to run out.

Peak by shaktool

No! Stop eating! I said wander. WANDER!

Sir Henry Placeholder and the Badly Timed Parade by rogual

Beating the third guy was a nice feeling. I can't seem to kill this fourth guy though, he just sits there smugly and pretends to be a cake.

Hackworth’s Last Kick by Noyb

I wanted to have a proper go at this but the movement speed is too slow to intercept the ball, and too fast to try to fine-tune the angle, but that's fine because the angle is pretty random anyway.
Then at the end my score disappeared so I have no idea how well I did.

The Triumph of Time by muku

This is pretty great.
I wish I'd looked at the readme and known that I could zoom.

Wallcraft by lokijki

Some detailed instructions could've been useful for a stats-based game like this. I have no idea what a soldier does or why I would buy one, for example. It kind of seems like the best strategy is just to walk and kill things with the sword and never upgrade, but I'm probably wrong.

A thing! by Lerc

Very cool. An expanded game with more firepower and less inertia is something I'd look forward to.

Mood Fo Llaw by laremere

Fun! But it would feel more purposeful with some indication of remaining HP.

Drag the Wall by jeb

I couldn't get a single box.
So far a lot of games where you control the walls seem to have control issues. Is it an attempt to make things feel heavy or something?

The Wall of (mildly irritating) Sunburn by hroon

I was excited after reading the instructions on the title screen, but yeah, getting the peasants to do what you want is a bit too fiddly.

The Final Solution by fidaner

Seeing the evolution of this entry is almost as interesting as people's reactions to it.

The Haunting by Covenant

I enjoyed this. Letting the blocks shove the player over spikes is a fun mechanic. But I felt like the whole thing could've played twice as fast, adding a skill element to otherwise slow timing puzzles.

Heart by agj

Super-themey. I think the only issue with the text boxes is that they stay up twice as long as they need to. One-sentence cards can be read at a glance--and if they go too fast for some, well, that just leaves you with a semi-subliminal effect which people would think is arty and special.
