LD60 — Old Tech (9)

Long Wave Home by Ganktronics 2026-10-23T12:50:48Z ♥ 0

Cute little platformer! Like others have said, the controls could be better. Half the time I was just guessing on what to press until the thing happened. Also, the bed save doesn't seem to be required after achieving an objective. I died after turning on a speaker and it remained on. Not a bad thing, it just surprised me.

Melody Machinations by Profugo Barbatus 2026-10-23T12:31:46Z ♥ 0

I feel like half the UI wasn't visible to me when I tried playing. I couldn't play because of that. Only saw letters to type once I was nearly already crashed. The UI didn't even show up until after my 3rd crash.

Ghost Train by Koolruz 2026-10-23T12:17:57Z ♥ 1

This game really hit the sweet spot for me on difficulty. So many jam games are either to easy or too difficult, but this was just right. The arcade graphics and sound effects were perfect for this type of game. I just wish it could have had some music as well to tie it all together.

For some reason the jumping felt incredibly satisfying. I enjoyed jumping over the ghosts whenever I was in a difficult situation.

I didn't know what to expect when I started this, but it had me laughing before I knew it! I loved the experience.

I could tell a lot of care was given to testing it, because you even added a little '!' symbol for the drunk guy when he had something new to say to avoid the player spinning their wheels. Also, poor truth speaking guard. I hope he feels better soon.

Hammer or Dice by NBumgardner 2026-10-23T11:38:16Z ♥ 1

I enjoyed listening to the many different win voice lines! Sounds like there were multiple lines for each different alien race, which was cool.

Like the others, I noticed that most rounds were won after the first roll. Also, after the number of dice goes beyond 10 or so, it feels like using the hammer won't really change the outcome enough to help unless you're over and you need to destroy some.

No Replacements by kiririn51 2026-10-23T11:27:49Z ♥ 1

I loved this! Great music and dialog along with the art made me really feel like I was in Tomoko's shoes.

I feel the repair portion could have had a little more complexity, since it really is just "replace broken component with what the documentation says."

I also got a little confused when the first Alice 68k finish dialog mentioned Reia when we hadn't even seen that character yet. I believe it should have been Marika?

Feed the Boiler by IndiePanda 2026-10-21T20:42:00Z ♥ 0

I like it! A solid incremental jam game. I quickly got to the Retro Mix farming phase, but then slowly realized that the next upgrades wouldn't let me make anything better until I was practically finished with the game, which meant too much grinding for my tastes. I'm unsure if that was intentional.

Black Box of Light by EmeraldRat 2026-10-21T20:15:49Z ♥ 1

It took me a second to figure out how to adjust the aperture, but once I got that it was smooth sailing. I had fun being a manual camera operator! Pretty sure that meteor hit me, though. And so ends my days as a photographer.

Lexi Chameleon by Jeremy Ryan 2026-10-21T02:30:50Z ♥ 2

Played this with a group of friends and had a blast! This is such a good idea for a jackbox type, friend game. We ended up playing for an hour and some change, which shows it's good!

Mom, I'm In Space - MIIS by Eden_Zorro 2026-05-08T23:26:19Z ♥ 0

I had fun shooting asteroids. I had less fun when the asteroids turned on their homing systems and got revenge. Jokes aside, the graphics in this game are great for a jam game! Playing with a controller was smooth and you can't go wrong by giving me a laser gun. 👍

GlorpCorp by JonasO 2026-05-08T23:07:24Z ♥ 1

Cute and fun game! I ended up steering my satellites with reckless abandon, ramming them into the planet to gobble up signals then moving the satellite across the planet to deliver the signal personally. Just like real life! I especially liked the UI, which had really cute art.

HORIZON'S CALL by deadjolly 2026-05-08T22:52:12Z ♥ 2

Great game! The visual effects on the handheld device were amazing. Especially the static effect when the enemies(whatever they were) were nearby. The little bit of cutscene at the end had me asking questions and since it leads directly to the beginning of the game again, I guess it's a loop? My only hangup would be that once an enemy is close enough to you, it seemed like running away did nothing but prolong the inevitable. Would jump into a portal again, BOING!

Samband by Ava Skoog 2026-05-08T22:31:13Z ♥ 1

Took me a while to actually figure out what my goal was, but now here I am jamming to the ending song 😂 Cute little puzzle game!

Heisty Heist by MashedPotato 2026-05-08T22:16:03Z ♥ 1

The idea is great, the path-finding of your NPC partner is not. I was unfortunately not able to usher John Roomba through the maze before the police nabbed him. May he rest in peace(in jail). I did have some fun watching him go in circles, though!

In a puff of smoke by Loki Drams 2026-05-08T21:01:49Z ♥ 1

Cool concept being a smoke signal operator(or whatever they're called)! I was just clicking around during the tutorial trying to get a hang of it and I think I messed up royally but the tutorial continued anyway 😂 I still don't quite understand how the game works, but I love these kinds of work-ish games. Would love to see a more fleshed out version at some point!

Please, Don't Hang Up (DEMO) by Alex O 2026-05-08T20:44:37Z ♥ 0

I really liked what I could play! For some reason, about 5 or 6 choices in it just smash-cuts to the title menu no matter what I pick. Hoping to come back and play a more complete version after the jam!

COPYTHAT by PPKO 2026-05-08T20:34:27Z ♥ 0

I totally wasn't expecting to be quizzed on previous rounds! That got me. Very cool game, awesome art, and the ambient music hit just right for line-waiting!

Module Overload by YurisCat 2026-05-08T20:25:13Z ♥ 0

I have concluded that I indeed cannot take over the world with my brain waves. Very fun game! I got wrecked!

Precious Spacimens by Prakkus 2026-05-08T19:48:13Z ♥ 2

I enjoyed the writing! A surprisingly calming and sweet experience, considering the game's premise. I ended up winning with a hold full of 4 space creatures, and I love those little guys. Honestly, if I was running away from a collapsing star, I'd put soothing piano music on full-blast too. Great jam game!

Signal Boost by WonkaBird 2026-05-08T19:30:54Z ♥ 1

I was surprised by how far away you could collect signals! Definitely an interesting challenge to regulate my attention between the foreground avoiding enemies and the background collecting signals. I kept finding myself running into the side walls accidentally and getting caught. I would have loved some visual indicator of the edge of the movement area. I like the neon visuals!

Lethal Signal by NullMoxy 2026-05-08T16:26:07Z ♥ 0

I do love my puzzle games. Cool idea! If the corruption was fixed on the screen retroactively, this would have been a smash hit with me! Unfortunately, as it is it's like a game of wack-a-mole trying to get a specific message while the signal is behaving. Such a good idea though!

Third Move by Rudenko 2026-05-08T16:07:04Z ♥ 1

Very good game! The gameplay pulled me in and kept me engaged. I may have missed something, but I still don't know what some colors and shapes(like square with empty center, or darker green square) mean. I would love it if there was a page somewhere that told me what all of the different indicators mean.

Operator by Atenebris 2026-05-08T15:49:54Z ♥ 0

The UI is very cool! I really felt like an air traffic controller, but with my finger on the launch missile button 😂 I may have missed something but I would have appreciated a manual. I was very confused about what I was doing.

LoneSignal by MEME4221 2026-05-08T15:36:22Z ♥ 0

I loved the cute graphics! I liked the frequency tuning since I'm a puzzle nerd.
