I absolutely loved this! Everything from the intro, the font, ease of seeing what was going on based on the color stations matching the meters...had a blast. Especially got a kick out of a certain jump that added more pieces to the map. Very very well done, and the music fit the hectic nature. Would love to see this expanded and fleshed out more to a full release!

2022-10-03 16:28

Fun music!

enad96 2022-10-03 17:28

Great fit to the theme, was not expecting that music but it was great! Controlling multiple characters was executed very well.

hotaloca 2022-10-03 17:30

I liked the music a lot, matched well the game. I also liked the way to control the multiple characters and how the short term/strategic needs would need to be managed with a bar. I did not fully understand though what do I need to do to avoid the damage every 10 seconds? Like stand in the middle?

grandblood 2022-10-03 17:32

Funny game. Like the paper planets lol.

eerongal 2022-10-03 17:33

@hotaloca The text and color of the indicators on the bottom right tell you which color of "workstation" you should stand at to fix the damage.

kevin-du 2022-10-03 17:35

Good game! just one point I didn't figure out, what's the meaning of ship shake and based on what, some players died?

minipeps 2022-10-03 17:35

Awesome game! Loved the art style, sound design and overall mood. The gameplay idea to swap between crew members is brillant, very well done

eerongal 2022-10-03 17:39

@kevin-du Ship shake is when you hyper jump. And the events in the text box explain why you gain/lose people (and what is being damaged)

w4yn3r 2022-10-03 17:40

Loved the artstyle and music! Unfornatly for me the top was a little cropped out and hard to see. Great ambience/feeling overall!

eerongal 2022-10-03 17:47

@w4yn3r yeah, unfortunately unity UI has a few scaling issues at times. It looks much better on itch than on the LD embed. Thanks for playing, though!

kevin-du 2022-10-03 17:49

@eerongal Nice, nice! Thanks for the reply. I'm about to play it again. Didn't pay attention to the text last time. :spy:

queenofsquiggles 2022-10-03 21:04

This was super fun! I loved how fast paced it was. The game was a bit easy to complete, but possibly it was just good RNG? I'm not sure how much of it is scripted or not.

ccollider 2022-10-03 22:26

Man, they're real serious about the polka part. A lot of fun even if you can't hold down a player two for more than one spin of the popsicle stick!

gangrue 2022-10-03 22:47

Fun! A lot of hyper light drifter inspiration. Love that game

mavvy 2022-10-03 23:34

This is a really enjoyable entry. The music *perfectly* compliments the frantic running around as various things go to hell, especially when my crew was taken out.

defilerzero 2022-10-04 00:00

Oh geez, this is a fun game. Cycling with crew members was simple, and an addictive gameplay to top it off. Plus, the polka is a perfect touch to the chaos.

kepsert 2022-10-04 00:10

That polka really got to me haha. Started playing and suddenly we were 50 minutes in the future, addicting gameplay, cute graphics, simple, everything I love in a chill post-LD play and rate session <3

olivieryc 2022-10-04 02:55

The music and look was great. I liked the premise of fixing everything on the ship and how every ten seconds, something would break. I didn't really understand why sometimes I'd get a clone, but they were sure handy. Because I didn't get the reason, it kinda seemed like it was to help me succeed.

birdy-games 2022-10-04 03:02

Cool idea and a funny setting. Congrats!

fattori 2022-10-04 05:45

love the take on the theme, I was a bit lost at first but when things clicked oh boy they clicked indeed, pretty fun!

matt-ravenhall 2022-10-04 07:18

Brilliant idea this, and great use of the theme. The polka was also a nice touch. Having the number of engineers change over time was perfect.

thegamearchitect 2022-10-04 11:31

cool little game you got here. nice use of theme. well done for getting this into LD51!

joedev 2022-10-04 12:58

Very cool, lovely overcooked style game with a good use of the theme! Gets pretty tense :D Good job

holy-doggo01 2022-10-04 16:39

Quite an unusual interpretation of the theme, beautiful art style.

P.S.: Music hits hard tho

krakadushka 2022-10-04 16:40

Wow it is really fun! It is really convinient to manage with parameters, cool mechanics with multiple players. But graphics quite diverse, but still good. Intro is very cool! Unfortunatelly, I don't understand, there is end or not... You can fix it, for example, with timer with your surviving time or you can show remaining time. Good luck!)

eerongal 2022-10-04 17:13

@krakadushka actually, the way to win is to get your hyper drive (the purple) to 100%, as alluded to by the intro. So it's not a time thing, per se, just how much time you can actually get around to fixing it before others reach 0%

roroto-sic 2022-10-04 18:15

Love the vibe of this game ! very fun to play ! just one thing: i didnt know if there is an ending or if i missed to do something because i had everything à 100 % nothing happened Capture d’écran 2022-10-04 201449.png

eerongal 2022-10-04 19:00

@roroto-sic huh, that's interesting. The game is supposed to win if you get the hyper drive (purple bar) to 100%. Not sure why it wouldn't appropriately, but I haven't seen that yet. I don't suppose you have any console logs left from your play? i doubt it but doesnt hurt to ask :)

You aren't missing much, just a screen that says "you win", basically.

tatawanda 2022-10-04 19:56

Ok, that was actually fun, this catchy tune help a lot!

relord 2022-10-04 20:06

This was a fun one, love the chaos when i started losing people.

krakadushka 2022-10-04 20:53

@eerongal oh, understand! well, I'll try :v:

falk-hoeppner 2022-10-05 00:02

Loved the intro and the overall vibe of the game. The random events every ten seconds were good to shake things up. I got really unlucky my first run and lost my second guy almost immediately. It took me a second to catch on to what I was supposed to be doing, but I figured it out after my first run. A background change with the "warp" every 10 seconds might make it easier to catch on to the shifts. Overall, good fun, nice bit of chaos.

ditam 2022-10-05 00:03

I've had it with these pesky cloning time vortices on this Monday-to-Friday plane! A very fun game, I almost wish it was more chaotic or challenging. I feel like I won before I fully understood what's happening.

I loved the low-res art with the dithered backgrounds, very stylish!

defrag 2022-10-05 00:17

Game jam music often makes me want to mute the game, but not here. I'm still humming the tune. Gameplay was simple, and you did a good job using colors in multiple places to reinforce things. I didn't ever figure out which bar was the important one, although I saw later in the comments that it was the purple one. It looks like you stayed with default Unity sliders due to time constraints (I'm assuming) - that might have been something to prioritize a bit higher to complete the overall polished look you have here. Great entry!

glacian 2022-10-05 01:41

Great job, I especially enjoyed when you had a ton of characters to try control - or when you lost an important one! It didn't take long to get very easy though, so more content would be awesome.

chybby 2022-10-05 11:42

Fun quirky game!

I know you didn't make the music but it fit the mood very well. I liked that it was affected by how much the radio was broken.

Took me a little while to notice that the pink station was the main goal.

shrillwhip 2022-10-05 17:25

Very nice. This was actually quite fun, and well made overall. The gameplay loop is engaging, and the music is well composed and fun (it reminds me of the soundtrack to The Neverhood), although I'm not quite sure if it fits the game.

Anyway, good job!

mbrezu 2022-10-05 18:54

I didn't know what I was doing (except matching the colors and trying to push all the percentages up), but had fun even when losing. The polka is awesome. Well done!

EDIT: The FTL vibes were very enjoyable :-)

EDIT2: I won, but couldn't figure out why :-)

weefairyfabi 2022-10-05 21:36

Really nice interpretation of the theme, I was mildly hooked haha. I likes the art and the FTL vibes were strong in a good way

whalejam 2022-10-06 17:09

I like the music, the gameplay is fun and a little intense, although one of my guys did die at one point and I wasnt really sure why. Overall I had a good time playing though :)

hare-software 2022-10-07 14:23

Did not take me long at all to understand what I had to do. Interesting short game that implements the theme quite well. Good entry!

arnochux 2022-10-07 16:46

Great entry! I liked the space polka-opera theme!

alexyam 2022-10-08 09:02

How do I kill a crew?

adriangray 2022-10-08 17:01

Great, fun game! Polka works very well in stressful situations like these lol. I really enjoy the mechanics, would be maybe nice in the future to tie the colors with some ship mechanics.

hekateras 2022-10-20 17:27

Fun little game! Surprisingly deep design
