Loved it. You're hired!
I liked the graphics and you did an amazing job of introducing each concept with an easy level. The music was a bit loud and repetitive, so having a music on/off button would be nice for such a long game.
@deathray Yeah, we didn't properly manage our time and ended up having to implement audio, art, and the such at the very last minute. The audio balance and certain assets suffered as a result. Our options menu currently isn't working either, but it's in the works! We plan to make the game a fun experience all the way through (and at least fix the bugs in the Compo version).
Cool Graphics, Good Level Design and good way to show each mechanic, I think that the music don't work so well with the this game type but in general a really cool puzzle game :D
interesting puzzle twist with the falling blocks!
Nice, simple and relaxing game that works and is fun. Great that you could fit a lot of levels into the time limit. I'd prefer these types of interviews rathar than actual interviews :D
Game is simplr and fun - cant say much. Is there any particular feedback that you want?
@mza Thanks for playing! We have a number of planned improvements and additional features lined up already, so there is no particular area that we are looking for feedback in, but any and all suggestions are welcome!
I appreciated how you eased into each mechanic, really well done!! =)
Very entertaining and well balanced game with really nice graphics.
Well done on your first LD entry. Nice puzzle game with fun mechanics.
Love puzzles like this. The mechanics are simple enough and the complexity ramps up quite nicely great job!
Great first jam entry! You've managed to make a decent number of levels and the difficulty curve is great. You do a good job at introducing mechanics before using them in a more complex puzzle.
Really well done!
Fun little game with a really unique and interesting idea. I thought the pacing was a bit too slow. The first few puzzles after the obvious tutorial levels I found to be too self-explanatory and could be solved with trial and error, everything after though was great! Some of the ideas you had with the chairs and the file cuboards was great. The music and art were well done as well. Good job!
Wow ! I was amazed by the amount of (interesting) levels and game mechanics in this game ! Well you are a big team so yes, this can help ^^ but anyway the game still is amazing ! With very nice pixel art too
I would say that the music is a bit repetitive after a long time (or maybe I'm just to slow to finish levels )
@xyph The team appreciates it! It was definitely helpful having a 5-man core team (plus a bit of additional help). I appreciate the feedback on the music! I didn't really take into account how long the game would take, so I only created one track per section (this is especially obvious on the music that spans both Lobby and Lounge, especially because it's not the strongest of the tracks 😅).
While I did consider the fact that the tracks might loop, I looked more at the soundtrack as a whole than the track to track experience, not considering those who might stop playing before reaching those later sections or who just take a while finishing a level especially since it *is* a puzzle game :stuck_out_tongue:. Thanks for the feedback, and we hope you stick around for the post-jam version if you're interested!
Art style is great, the music is very pleasant (though there are no sound effects, I thought it went with the game vibe). I appreciate the level design in your game, I think you have elaborated the mechanic much better than other games going in the same direction. Great job, a very promising entry. Good luck post-jam!
Brilliant level design!!!
Nice puzzle game.
Nice game
Really cool game. The graphics are cool and for some reason I really liked the music. Levels were a bit repetitive and the really slow movement in the game doesn't help with that. Still, great job!
oh wow nice entry! the level design is awesome!! just enough to start some thinking process but not too hard. great music and gameplay overall. Would be great if the inputs stack, like if you quickly press forward three times it'll go forward three times itself. pretty nice game tho :), good job!
Great game. Loved the music and the gameplay. You could've done a better job explaining the coffee powerup, took me a while to fully understand it. Other than that I really enjoyed the game, great work.
Fun little game, I really enjoyed it, well done!
The core gameplay is simple and enjoyable. The puzzles are just the right difficulty - not as easy to become boring, not as hard to become frustrating. The art style is consistent and creates a nice feel. Overall, good job!
Wow I wasn't ready for this submission! I though it was a cute little pixel-art style game but it turned out to be a fully fletched, well thought out puzzler! The puzzles felt satisfying and fair. The graphics and audio are amazing. Everything works really well, I'm also really surprised at the amount of puzzles you guys managed to make in the little time you had! Overall, really solid experience, keep it up guys! The only feedback I could give has to do with player-feedback (ironically): the teleporting when drinking coffee seems a bit out of place with the style of the rest of the game, which is smooth and calm. Maybe give this 'teleport' a new animation: like a *long* jump animation, so you can skip a hole and also make it seem believable. Other than that, the flickering door puzzles seemed a bit abstract to me: I knew how they worked, but at first it didn't immediately make sense to me that I could only walk on gray, stay on white and couldn't pass black: maybe make this 'block' kind of a door that opens and closes or something? Maybe just something that's a bit more intuitive for players.
Anyway, very good job on making this guys, I enjoyed it a lot :D
I love puzzle games. Very nice art. It feels a little weird when floor falls and you look like floating for a second.
I love puzzle game and your is great, witch various game play! Really a nice game! Congrats
What a great puzzler. I must admit, unlike many above me, I eventually got frustrated and had to abandon. And I even made a puzzle game myself this jam too. There were a lot of think-ahead moments that got a little too much for me.
That said, you got a ton of good mechanics, atmospheric tunes (though after a couple of repetitions as I stumbled around the song got a little stale), and graphics with tons of character. My only real gripes with the graphics is the amount of grey overall and some things seemed like they should've been animated. The jump, blocks falling, etc. Some *game juice* I suppose. The jump sound, or landing right after I suppose, was a pretty harsh and painful frequency to my ears.
Excellent work!
@flaterectomy Thanks for the feedback! What you said is basically what we're looking at right now for the post-jam version - currently, we like our puzzle design but are working on the difficulty in order to hit a good middle ground. I'm also working on more songs in order to lower the amount of repetition, since I didn't take into account how long people might take playing each world (especially since the first two worlds share a track). We were also going to add animations and even had some of the assets but ran out of time to implement them! The jump landing sound is a web-only bug, the initial sound is supposed to be the only one. Glad you enjoyed!
@aug It's hard to gauge how much time people spend on a puzzle game you've made yourself, right? I'm was used to the mechanics of our own game and had no more learning curve, so when we were done we were surprised to see people spending 30+ minutes on our entry. :grinning:
I loved it, nice idea!
I'm amazed about the game content created on 72 hours, specially the different mechanics! I completed all levels.
I suggest you to change the "mutable tile" from black/gray/yellow into red/yellow/green or even black/gray/white, because your colors confused me a bit.
Totally unexpected interview. Great job!
Really fun puzzle game with interesting mechanics! The level designs were pretty well balanced, too.
Thoroughly impressed! I LOVE the level design and also the soundtrack was so catchy!
Thank you for sharing your game with me. I played it on my stream tonight at https://www.twitch.tv/saoigames
I have rated your game, but all of my feedback was captured in the stream. It was in the middle.

Great job designing the puzzles, not too difficult but they did make you think. The music fit well for a puzzle game and the graphics did give me a retro-vibe. Great job overall!
Crazy amount of content in this, spent way too long playing it, and it just kept introducing new mechanics. I don't know what to say to be fair I quite enjoyed the game and the puzzles where staggered real well to teach each mechanic before using it for real in a more complex puzzle. I did not complete it however got stomped by this puzzle Screencap.png and eventually gave up. One of the best games I've played so far and I applaud you guys for the amount of polish and content you where able to put into this. Amazing job!
Good game - I enjoyed it. I liked the blocky graphics and the puzzles!
So far it's my favorite falling blocks implementation in the jam
I especially appreciate the interaction between the various extra mechanics you put in the game, so all of them feel like a complete package, not just a collection of mini games.
However, I was rather annoyed by the delay between each move. I did note that sometimes it kinda matched with the beat of the music, was that intentional? If so, then I guess it's a cool idea, just not implemented as well.
The difficulty also had some minor issues. I mean, some puzzles could be solved just by "following the flow" without any thinking, yet some were really difficult. Or is it just me who spent like half an hour on that last level?
Amazing job on the game and working with such a large team, the level design must've been pretty nasty, especially the later levels. I do wish the earlier levels stepped it up a bit faster. I thought the levels were pretty easy and obvious, but I guess you always need proper onboarding, especially for an LD game. I really liked the variety of obstacles, you did a great job exploring all kinds of game directions with just the core mechanic.
Incredible job! The puzzles are absolutely astounding! It's really fun, and the music and graphics are spectacular! I did get stuck on the second level with the NPCs, and I could not kill it because it wouldn't destroy the block as I walked off of it in front of the robot (annoying, possibly a bug). The mood works great, and the theme fits great! This has got to be the best implementation of the most literal interpretation of the theme that I have seen so far. Great job!
Cheers! - The Koala Squad
excellently designed puzzler; wide variety of mechanics (the coffee was evil sometimes). Could easily be a mobile release.
Nice puzzles you have there! One of the better games I've played.
The graphics are a bit bleak but functional. I got stuck on that room shown above but that's fine. (Yes I know I can skip levels.)
Not bad for a game made by 7 people .
A lot of levels!
At first I was going to comment on the fact that some levels seem to be too "obvious", i.e. there is only one path I can reasonably take and it is not too difficult to spot it. But as the levels progressed, I was pleasantly surprised to find more uses of the previously introduced mechanics, in slightly less obvious ways. Towards the end a lot of the levels devolved into counting step triplets :) So the puzzles and level design is great. The difficulty curve is not too crazy, though some reshuffling of levels might be appropriate, just to keep the pace steadier.
As for the graphics and the audio – I'm less happy about these. The graphics are functional basically, but the walls do not stand out very well from the floor tiles and this can be slightly confusing if the room is not a simple rectangular shape. Some animations of the trapdoor tiles or the moving X's (what are they even?) would be nice, since the player character is also animated / transitions from tile to tile smoothly?
As for the music, the tunes are alright, but get very repetitive quickly. I would say that for a puzzle game such as this a more chill, lower tempo music would be more pleasant. One sound I really hated was the high-pitched produced when moving under coffee influence.
Good job :)
a puzzler with amazing design and many [drift boss](https://driftboss.co) mechanics. Possibly a release for mobile devices.
