Nice graphics! I love that you were able to include a proper tutorial. I also like that mistakes can't be undone, requires planning, which itself gets a bit harder as the objectives ramp up in difficulty. Pretty fun, nice entry :)

I have a similar idea that I discared, very glad to see someone who has done it very well!
This is a really fun tycoon game. The theme was executed well, careful planning is a must.
Very impressive that you were able to make this in the limited time :D
I really like games like this, and this one doesn't disappoint. It's fun to play and gets harder after a while, which is nice. I liked that you really get punished if you try to build up too fast, using too many resources and too much power, but can still recover with some lives lost because of the $500 you get each time and because it repeats the same mission.
I thought the graphics look pretty nice too, although I would've preferred them to be a bit less gray in places (like the background). But hey, it is a dystopia simulator. :) I also would've liked a few more building options, but maybe they are unlocked further into the game than I got.
Really good game. I would love to see a more complete version of the game, and very impressive what you accomplished in limited time.
This was fun, but it seems like once you've found a pattern of resources there's not much to do except wait to run out of space.
Cool game! It fits the theme very well. Awesome graphics as well. However, I am not sure if it's my problem, but the screen keeps flickering and the control isn't the most responsive. Also, the tutorial is too long and kinda boring.
Wow, It's impressive the amount that you have accomplished in just a weekend, I really like this game. My only complain is that evne after taking the material, it's a bit confusing to know which resource you need to build something
I love idea with module buildings in citysims. Good rate for this game.
Nice idea! It was fun trying to strike the balance of maintaining all the systems but it felt very good. I really loved having the tutorial and how you handled it, it made the whole experience much better, especially for a jam game. Nice work!
Interesting idea, I however really sucked at it, so the 'out of space' aspect didn't even come into play for me. But I see how that would have worked :)
Enjoyed it. Although I kept losing lives and not realising. I'm dumb and need a big siren to tell me I failed.

It's quite a simple game but still fun to play. I like the iso artwork. Suites this style of game well. The game is pretty well fleshed out given the time limit. I can definitely see myself putting a lot of time into a version of it with more content!
fun game to play. and a good tutorial you have there in as well. my largest score was by the way 820 so I did well. still, I want to hear some warnings when the time runs out on each level.
This was well made just I am no good at these type of game :P My only criticism is that the UI could be a little hard to track at times because there was so much going on. Good job.

It's a good city builder and mechanics are very fun, it's not very difficult but it's not too easy. Good job
This is addictive :) Fun take on the theme. I'd love to play this game in my spare time. I did have some trouble with getting all of the information from the UI and react to it within the time limit, though. Other than that, I'm keeping this game for my breaks at work.

A proper tutorial and a crisp GUI, two things my (eerily similar) entry lacks; it's impressive, and humbling. Well done!

Very nice graphics and UI, liked the sound effects as well. There were some problems with the UI not being scaled enough, but overall this was a great little game!
Great job! I feel like the tutorial was a bit too long, and everything I needed to learn I could have discovered on my own (with a bit of visual feedback, like losing lives etc). Also a bit of humor wouldn't hurt, the game is quite 'serious' in it's tone (which is fine, but maybe planning/management games aren't my genre) I like the visuals and the controls!

Great article, Nice subtle sounds in the background, not too distracting. This submission could benefit from a goal other than tasks though. Well done! UI was great too! made me feel like playing SimCity!

I'm really impressed with how much you were able to do, congrats on your entry! The tutorial was so extensive, the game is clever and different, I love the art. All around really great job!
Oh, i like that. The idea is good executed. Graphics are sweet. Adding some humor won't hurt at all)
An interesting game. It was challenging without being frustrating. As mentioned above, it was nice having a reward every time the clock clicked down.
I also noticed a bit of flickering the first time I played, but when I quit and restarted the game it went away. That was the only bug I noticed. Nice work.
Great game here, i actually found myself replaying this several times over having a lot of fun. The balance between power, solar, and apartments works really well. Art style is effective, and the UI is clean and easy to understand. Great Entry.
A management game very well done, it really sticks to the theme! The graphics are clear, the sound is quiet. It lacks something to be really fun, like a story that will imagine the lives of people on this little piece of ground, or disaster events like in sim city!
i love this game very much! The graphics are awesome and the gameplay is very good.and the bgm the nature sound!so cool!
This is a nice, peaceful little game, great job! I managed to get around 500 points and had fun doing so. The game looks great and I love the ambience during gameplay. I really appreciate the tutorial too, was very informative and made sense story wise. The theme is definitely used with the gradually dropping amount of free tiles and tree squares. Great job on this entry!

Nice little game, the graphics were nice. I liked that you included a full tutorial seeing as i wouldn't have know what was what otherwise. The game fits the theme very well, making this a very good entry into the Ludum Dare. For some reason however i didn't find myself having as much fun as i first though i would, seeing as i normally like tycoon-like games. Overall the game is well done and the background noises made the overall game more calming.
You made me remember that I loved building and management games. Back in the day I played a lot of sim farm, sim tower, sim city. It was really fun, and this brought part of that. Loved the graphics.
It took me a while to notice where the monetary cost of buildings showed up on the screen (I assumed it was the amount of money I lost per... something, at first  — maybe a tooltip would have been more obvious?), but this is a really solid game. It's pretty fun, although obviously doesn't last for too long! A good entry, thanks!
Always loved me some tycoon games :) Well executed and a damn nice tutorial. Even though i didnt really kept track of the timer at times, it was still a fun creative game. As soon as the space gets more limited I really started to panic because I knew that I needed to make more radical decisions. The art style is just perfect for this, I love isometric pixelart and this game does it well!
Good job guys, nice team effort :D
I was really impressed with the balance in this. Definitely one of the hardest things to get right during a game jam due to the time constraints. Very solid tycoon game! Thanks for submitting your game for my stream!
Hey! This entry was really fun to play, most things are very nice! The only thing that I feel is lacking its a sound cue to notice you the round time is running out.
Awesome tycoon!
The art direction is splendid, the atmosphere is good and honestly, the scope itself deserves some commendation; it is easy to go too big or too small in LD, this seems just right from both a dev side and player side (something we might have needed to tweak for our entry :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: )
I enjoyed the game and felt like I did reasonably well. I do wish the tasks were slightly reworked so that it would say something like: "Reach 200 living spaces (35 remaining)" instead of just create 35 apartments. It would feel like more of a milestone and personally, I feel the more info you can give me in a game like this, the better. That won't dock any points, though, don't worry ;)
I thought the GUI was pleasant and generally easy to use, which is excellent!
Glad to have had the chance to play and rate your game <3
Exelent mechanics and atmospheric graphics i really enjoyed your idea good luck
@hare-software We've finished Part 1 of our Play and Rate video for Ludum Dare 42, and we've added it per your response. Check it out! https://youtu.be/vuUp1EYEiuAc (The video may be uploading for a little while. If so, check back after a day or so)
Very nice and simple game. I liked how the tutorial covered everything and how well done it was and the graphics were simple but easy to see. Good job

I enjoyed playing this game, everything is very polished. The mechanics are the make it playable and enjoy it. However I missed some control on the birth ratio, as it is, it makes the game a bit to frenetic, while the mood doesn't go that way, maybe a couple of sounds for the population and energy alert would have made it. Just to give ideas, maybe being able to spend money on birth control like selling more condoms (os selling fake ones) could be an interesting mechanic to add, just so when you have overpopulation that you can relax a little (with the inconvenient of producing less). In any case really good game! Congrats!

Great polish and presentation, and feels very complete mechanically. The game taking place on a little isometric board makes me think that this could be for city builders what Into the Breach is for turn based tactics games.
Good puzzle game :) well done
this was a very enjoyable game - the user interface was excellent - thanks for making it
Nice work!

Thank you all for your feedback! I took all of it into account while working on an improved version and I hope you guys want to try it again to see if it is any better! @langotriel approached me and helped to add sound, which makes the game a lot more playable.
The following features were added for the full version: - Added way more sound - Ability to skip waiting on timer - Modified Solar panels to be more useful - Made GUI more clear - Fixed minor bugs
This might not be the last version and I will look into expending this into a full game later, but for now I wanted to provide an improved version of this jam game. Hope you enjoy playing it as much as I did making it!
