Oct 20 03:51:17 Mr. Havoc in The Web ♥ 2 The opening was amusing! I would have loved more interaction with desktop icons and windows, as the platforming felt a little disconnected from the computer setting. Unfortunately, I got stuck in the green ASCII level and couldn't progress any further. I couldn't make the jump from the small central platform onto the tall platform to its right (see screenshot). Did I miss a mechanic, or could there be an issue with that jump? screen.png
Oct 20 04:07:05 15m 48s ZERO_DAY ♥ 0 I wanted more room to experiment with the construction system, but the early difficulty made that hard. After six attempts, I still couldn't reach 1 MFLOPS. Fewer enemies and less frequent enemy fire during the first three levels would have helped me learn the game and try different builds. The intro also felt too long and text-heavy. More building options and a gentler start would have made the game more enjoyable for me.
Oct 20 04:49:27 42m 22s Mammoth Slayer ♥ 1 The start felt unclear. I had to spend a long time near the tents getting upgrades, and my starting rocks seemed ineffective against mammoths. Food ran out before I could bring one down. Faster early upgrades or a smaller, weaker mammoth to hunt first would help players get into the game. The berry bushes also looked like something I could gather from; a small food supply from them could give beginners more breathing room. I'd prefer mouse aiming and left-click throwing, with weapons flying toward the cursor. Dodging mammoths, retrieving weapons and aiming another throw could make the hunting more engaging.
Oct 20 05:08:14 18m 47s The Blacksmith's Story ♥ 3 I enjoyed the hands-on crafting process! The game feels well made, with a great atmosphere, fitting sound effects and an excellent connection to Old Tech. I completed two orders, earning 18 and 12 coins. I would have appreciated a guided first order to walk me through the whole process. For anyone getting started, here's how I made a sword: 1. Find the recipe book on a table to the right of the window. 2. Put an ingot in the forge and use the bellows a couple of times. 3. Move the heated ingot to the anvil, pick up the hammer and click a few times to forge the blade. 4. Cool the blade in the water basin in the corner. 5. Bring it to the table with the recipe book. Collect a guard and a handle from the boxes, bring them over and assemble the weapon. 6. Sharpen the sword on the grindstone to the left of the assembly workbench.
Oct 20 05:34:24 26m 10s Oops! No Floor! ♥ 1 The elephant amused me.
Oct 20 05:53:55 19m 31s The Abacus: Hellraiser ♥ 6 The soundtrack is fantastic, and I had a lot of fun! On Normal difficulty, I struggled to stay on beat while keeping track of all the combinations, my HP and armor, and the enemy's HP. It felt like a lot to process at once. I switched to Easy, where I didn't have to worry about rhythm timing, and really enjoyed playing through to the end. screen.png
Oct 20 06:15:19 21m 24s Rhythm Coders ♥ 3 I really enjoyed this! It reminded me of Sprunki, and turning old hard drives, floppy drives, modems and monitors into the performers was a fun idea. The audio was the highlight for me—I loved how the different parts sounded together. Great work!
Oct 20 06:20:55 5m 36s Old Varnish-The Technology of the Old Masters ♥ 0 A chill restoration experience with an interesting take on the theme. I liked the idea of using traditional techniques to bring old paintings back to life.
Oct 20 06:28:20 7m 25s Mr. Duck ♥ 3 A fun concept and a perfect fit for the theme! I liked the idea of controlling the world through VHS playback controls, though they took some getting used to. The core mechanic is a clever way to play with the theme.
Oct 20 06:41:32 13m 12s Ghost in the Egg ♥ 3 This brought back some lovely Tamagotchi memories! I liked the idea of caring for Moonpet in a room full of old technology. A great fit for the theme and a nice trip back to the early 2000s.
Oct 20 07:23:28 41m 56s Pigeon Post ♥ 1 A fun idea for an incremental game! The early game felt slow, though. Faster deliveries or getting access to more pigeons sooner would help things pick up momentum. Hatching eggs also required a lot of clicking; fewer clicks would make that part feel less repetitive. My first run ended after only two deliveries, with three pigeons dying on missions. My second attempt went better, but I still only managed to deliver six letters before losing again (see screenshot). Losing pigeons felt frustrating. I'd find it more interesting if they stayed alive and I could later sell the ones with weaker stats to free up space. That would give me more control over which pigeons to keep and how my flock develops. screen_game_over.png
Oct 20 07:47:47 24m 19s Check the Piss ♥ 1 An original idea with some great dark humor! I enjoyed the concept, though the controls felt a bit awkward—the item physics sometimes got in the way of what I was trying to do. Also, I accidentally poured some of the “product” into the coin jar while I was figuring out the controls 😂
Oct 20 07:58:24 10m 37s The Mushroom Boy ♥ 0 I found the collection mechanic interesting and really liked the distinctive visual style! It was quite difficult for me, though: after three attempts, my best score was only 163. I would have kept playing longer if the opening rounds were easier and the difficulty increased more gradually. That would give me more time to learn the mechanics before the challenge ramps up. screen_ms.png
Oct 20 08:32:00 33m 36s Penny's Radio ♥ 3 I found the crafting system interesting! Having recipes to work toward made the scavenging feel more purposeful. One thing that confused me at first was the recipe list on the right (see screenshot). I didn't realize I could drag it up and down to scroll through the recipes. I kept clicking the entries, and nothing seemed to happen. A visible scrollbar or a small “drag to scroll” hint would have helped me understand the interface sooner. screen_aa.png
Oct 20 08:56:17 24m 17s The Final Claw ♥ 1 It felt a bit slow at first, but upgrading the claw made the game more enjoyable! I'd have liked faster progression and a higher density of buried tech. Having more things to collect would make deeper drops more exciting and rewarding. As it is, I can't see what's farther down, so I don't feel much incentive to send the claw deeper.
Oct 20 09:32:55 36m 38s Crazy Froggers ♥ 4 A fun tower defense game! I played it all the way through and really liked the art style. Nice work! screen_aa.png
Oct 20 09:45:28 12m 33s Junk 4 Slimes ♥ 2 Interesting idea, especially having the slimes use your abandoned turrets against you! However, the wait before moving to the next area felt too long. I couldn't tell when the “Start Engine” button would become available—a progress bar or a clear indicator of what was still needed would help. I'd also appreciate 2× and 3× speed options to reduce the waiting. Being able to upgrade both the resource-gathering robots and the defensive units would be a nice addition too!
Oct 20 10:00:05 14m 37s Jam Boy ♥ 1 A fun beat ’em up! I explored four locations before dying for the first time. Nice work!
Oct 20 10:17:32 17m 27s The Pyramids were built like this ♥ 1 I played solo, and it's impressive how much you managed to build during the jam! I explored for a while before noticing the tutorial checklist in the top-left corner. Then I struggled to find the pickaxe before realizing it was highlighted 😂 Figuring out how to mine my first block and where to take it also took some time. A little more step-by-step guidance at the beginning would have helped me a lot. I'll definitely give it another go with friends!
Oct 20 11:53:37 1h 36m Floppy Defrag ♥ 1 A great Sokoban game! I finished all 10 levels and really enjoyed it. The retro operating system setting and defragmentation concept fit the Old Tech theme perfectly. Nice work!
Oct 20 12:08:28 14m 51s Idle Akademia ♥ 3 Academia is nuts! 😄 Made it all the way to the Nobel Prize. Thanks for the game!
Oct 20 12:21:51 13m 23s Detech ♥ 1 I finished all the levels and defeated the server - really enjoyed the game! Does the final choice change anything?
Oct 20 12:35:34 13m 43s Jelly & Bones ♥ 4 I played solo and enjoyed the Sokoban-style puzzles! I got stuck on level 4, though. The movement took a little getting used to because of the 45-degree camera angle.
Oct 20 15:13:28 2h 37m Dead Forum ♥ 2 Exploring an abandoned social network is an intriguing concept! Unfortunately, some buttons didn’t respond when I clicked them, and I initially thought the game had frozen. Thanks for the game!
Oct 20 15:22:04 8m 36s Old Tech Disposal Inc ♥ 1 I liked the graphics and music, and the controls felt responsive! The first level was quite tough for me, though—I tried five times and still couldn’t beat it. A more forgiving opening would have helped me get used to the mechanics.
Oct 20 15:43:46 21m 42s Extraction Looter ♥ 1 I played for around 20 minutes. I understand that search timers are part of the gameplay, but waiting for each progress bar made the pace feel slow. I’d have preferred shorter searches. Upgrades also felt expensive. Making the first few upgrades in the skill tree cheaper would help me feel a sense of progress sooner and make the early game more rewarding. screen_extraction.png
Oct 20 16:01:53 18m 07s Break the Gorilla ♥ 0 Hahaha, I had one of those indestructible Nokias too! 😂 This brought back memories!
Oct 20 16:18:49 16m 56s Rogue Cove ♥ 2 Really interesting visual style! The dithering gives the game a distinctive retro look. Nice work on the graphics!
Oct 20 16:57:34 38m 45s Quiet Carriage ♥ 1 Beautiful artwork! I really like the attention to detail in the locomotives. Great work!
Oct 20 17:11:58 14m 24s Who is Nana? ♥ 1 Beautiful pixel art and a wonderfully eerie atmosphere! Great work!
Oct 20 17:18:44 6m 46s The Liftman ♥ 3 Great atmosphere! The old mechanical elevator is a cool idea, and the breakdowns add to the tension. Fits the theme really well!
Oct 20 17:31:22 12m 38s Penny Farthing Race ♥ 2 Really fun game! The quirky art style is charming, and the bots are fun to race against. I think adding a co-op mode would make it even more fun!
Oct 20 17:45:34 14m 12s The Last Route ♥ 1 Beautiful pixel art! I really like the visual style and the atmosphere it creates. Great work!
Oct 20 17:56:17 10m 43s Abattlacus ♥ 1 Fantastic graphics and really engaging gameplay! I could see this becoming a hit on Steam if you expand it into a full game. Great work!
Oct 20 18:05:11 8m 54s Pearishable ♥ 3 Beautiful presentation and interesting levels! The tutorial felt a little repetitive at the beginning, though. I would have liked to move on to new challenges a bit sooner.
Oct 21 04:45:20 10h 40m rdcrawl ♥ 1 Interesting visual style! I like the monochrome 3D with dithering. I couldn’t get the Run option to work in combat, though.
Oct 21 05:06:41 21m 21s I Hate Funny Games ♥ 0 Great old-school arcade atmosphere! I wish I could exchange the tickets I earned for prizes at the counter. Those prizes could also add progression between runs, like extra tokens for the next run or ticket multipliers for specific minigames. That would give me a reason to keep coming back!
Oct 21 05:24:53 18m 12s Necropolis ♥ 1 Finished the whole game! I really liked the mechanics. Switching from floating to dashing took some getting used to, but I got the hang of it eventually. Thanks for the game!
Oct 21 05:28:51 3m 58s Moth in the Machine ♥ 1 Beautiful graphics! The environment looks impressively realistic, and the lighting adds so much to the atmosphere.
Oct 21 05:36:56 8m 05s Hammer or Dice ♥ 2 Interesting idea! A clearer score display would help. I think it would be more engaging if I had to beat the alien’s score as well as land within the target range. Quite often, my first roll was already within the range, so an extra challenge would give me more reason to use the hammer.
Oct 21 05:39:41 2m 45s Stardate 1999 ♥ 0 I really like the color palette, and the gameplay is engaging! Great work!
Oct 22 05:40:45 24h 01m ScrapBoys ♥ 4 I really loved the visuals! The art style looks fantastic. Great work!
Oct 22 05:42:36 1m 51s Feelm ♥ 2 Really creepy atmosphere! You did a great job creating that constant feeling that something is about to happen. Even the quiet moments feel unsettling!
Oct 22 05:45:29 2m 53s RAM256 ♥ 2 Babysitting a dying PC has no right to be this much fun! The constant interruptions turn it into a hilarious juggling act, and the little desktop details give it so much personality.
Oct 22 05:49:22 3m 53s Terrrapy ♥ 0 Loved the art and the creepy atmosphere!
