there's problem with locking cursor, cant rotate easily
I enjoyed the hands-on crafting process! The game feels well made, with a great atmosphere, fitting sound effects and an excellent connection to Old Tech. I completed two orders, earning 18 and 12 coins. I would have appreciated a guided first order to walk me through the whole process. For anyone getting started, here's how I made a sword: 1. Find the recipe book on a table to the right of the window. 2. Put an ingot in the forge and use the bellows a couple of times. 3. Move the heated ingot to the anvil, pick up the hammer and click a few times to forge the blade. 4. Cool the blade in the water basin in the corner. 5. Bring it to the table with the recipe book. Collect a guard and a handle from the boxes, bring them over and assemble the weapon. 6. Sharpen the sword on the grindstone to the left of the assembly workbench.
Really cool concept! I love the hands-on approach to sword crafting β heating the metal, hammering it, cooling it down, and assembling the final weapon. It's a great fit for the Old Tech theme! The atmosphere is nice too. The controls could use a bit of polish. Overall, a very interesting idea with lots of potential.
Good game
This is an incredibly impressive and visually stunning 3D Web entry! Building a fully realized 3D blacksmith workshop directly in the browser (looks fantastic, likely Three.js) is a huge technical achievement for a jam project.
The attention to detail in the environment is great. I absolutely loved the interaction with the bellows β watching the fire in the forge physically grow and light up the room when you pump them feels so satisfying and punchy! The hands-on, multi-step crafting loop (heating the ingot, hammering it on the anvil, cooling it in the water basin, and assembling parts using the blueprint book) is an absolute masterpiece of an interpretation for the "Old Tech" theme. I have to admit, I got a bit confused with the overall gameplay progression at first and struggled slightly with the camera cursor-locking, so a small guided first order or tutorial would be a massive help for new players. But the core concept has so much polish and incredible potential!
Wonderful job putting this together! If you get a break from hammering out swords at the anvil, Iβd be absolutely honored if you could check out my retro-tech ASMR cleaning simulator too. Good luck with the final ratings! π¨π₯βοΈβ¨
Love the art style! Though the lack of anti-aliasing makes it a bit hard on the eyes, even in the enhanced graphics mode. But I understand that's part of the style.
I really liked the step-by-step tutorial. The sword-making process also feels very realistic.
The character could move a bit faster, though. Even when I hold Shift, they still move pretty slowly.
After completing the first order, my progress reset, and the opening dialogue started playing again, even though I was still in the forge, not in the room.

Maybe I accidentally pressed something. A message occasionally appears on the screen telling me to press a certain key again within 4 seconds to reset my shift progress.
Still, the game is really impressive!

Ultra slow walking speed, questionable fonts. Coudldn't enjoy it to the fullest, unfortunately. Also, -rep for AI cover art
Ping me if you make a patch for walking speed
Solid gameplay loop, it's fun to make the process. A little complex at first but that's part of the charm. Graphics reminds of PS1 games. Nice entry, congrats.
A pretty polished game made with three.js, but the pixelation attempt causes a lot of issues (though partly that's just me not liking pixel art). A captivity simulator :) the visitors never released me beyond the fence)
