LD60 — Old Tech (15)

Agent Punchnikov by 7uc4s 2026-10-22T10:51:02Z ♥ 1

What a chaotic little game! There's something incredibly satisfying about punching enemies and desperately trying to defend the bunker. I really like the visual style and how you can interact with the environment!

I do wish the punches were a bit faster, though. Sometimes I felt like the enemies were having more fun beating me up than I was fighting back!

Fast-paced, stressful, and surprisingly fun.

The Switchboard Operator by Isline 2026-10-22T10:42:29Z ♥ 0

Really nice atmosphere! I love the old-fashioned office setting, the sound design, and the idea of manually connecting phone calls. A great fit for the Old Tech theme!

But I have to admit, I got stuck before my first shift even started! I couldn't figure out that I was supposed to drag the time card into the slot to clock in. I kept clicking around, trying to understand what to do.

Once I figured it out, the gameplay was quite enjoyable, although the waiting time between calls felt a bit too long.

Overall, a really cool concept with a lot of potential.

Let's Make Fire by Caerind 2026-10-22T10:30:39Z ♥ 0

I love the idea that the oldest technology is fire! That's a really clever interpretation of the theme.

The two-hand interaction system is quite unusual and interesting, and I really like the atmosphere of the island. There's also a surprising amount of content for a 72-hour jam!

However, I have to admit that I never quite figured out how to actually make a fire. I tried experimenting with different objects, but the process wasn't very intuitive.

Thousands of years of human civilization, and here I am, still unable to make fire!

Great concept and impressive work overall!

Loops 4U by CometSlush 2026-10-21T20:46:15Z ♥ 2

Now that's an interesting take on the Old Tech theme! While everyone else is making games about ancient machines and forgotten technologies, you went ahead and made a game for the Wii! Great work!

The Animation Morgue by WeLoveGames 2026-10-21T13:10:50Z ♥ 1

What a lovely little game! I really enjoyed the idea of manipulating animation layers to help the cat find his way. It's such a creative interpretation of the Old Tech theme! The whole experience feels like stepping into an old animated film. Great atmosphere, clever mechanics, and a charming story. Really glad I played this one!

Korobeinik by Valeriy 2026-10-21T11:14:40Z ♥ 0

Great interpretation of the Old Tech theme! I love the idea of running a market stall in old Moscow, weighing goods, calculating prices on an abacus, and trying to keep impatient customers happy. It's a nice mix of historical atmosphere and time-management gameplay!

Check the Piss by Indiealesha 2026-10-21T10:56:15Z ♥ 0

Well, that's definitely a game I never expected to see in my lifetime!

Of all the possible interpretations of the Old Tech theme, you somehow managed to find the most disgusting one. Great job!

The idea of combining Papers, Please with medieval urine tasting is absolutely hilarious. I especially love how seriously the game treats this absurd profession. A highly skilled specialist, a sophisticated quality control system...

Absolutely insane, incredibly creative, and definitely unforgettable!

STORM, RADAR, SLOTS! by Fi7Games 2026-10-21T10:41:08Z ♥ 1

Holy crap, this game is INTENSE! I feel like you need superhuman reflexes and at least three hands to survive out there! You're steering a boat through thick fog, constantly scanning for hazards, desperately trying to dodge what feels like a million obstacles — and somehow you're also supposed to find time to play a SLOT MACHINE?! That's absolutely insane, and I love it!

I definitely struggled to keep up with everything, but I had a blast trying!

LiNX LiGHTSPEED by Cardboard Box 2026-10-20T12:52:47Z ♥ 3

The plug-and-socket mechanic is such a cool idea! I really like how it fits into the fast-paced platforming. The movement looks fun and chaotic, and the whole game has a lot of personality. Great job!

The Blacksmith's Story by semenov 2026-10-20T11:22:58Z ♥ 2

Really cool concept! I love the hands-on approach to sword crafting — heating the metal, hammering it, cooling it down, and assembling the final weapon. It's a great fit for the Old Tech theme! The atmosphere is nice too. The controls could use a bit of polish. Overall, a very interesting idea with lots of potential.

Jelly & Bones by bobanko 2026-10-20T10:44:40Z ♥ 4

Really nice visual style! I loved the atmosphere and the way the little characters wobble around. Puzzle games aren't usually my thing, but I can definitely appreciate the creativity here. The controls took a little getting used to, but overall, it's a charming little game. Great job!

Old Ship Crane by kontest53 2026-10-20T10:29:55Z ♥ 1

Wow, this game is brutal! I haven't managed to beat it yet, but I really enjoyed it! Controlling the boat and the crane at the same time is quite a challenge, especially with those whirlpools around. Tough but fun! Great job!

Love, Trash & Robots by TenTacos 2026-10-20T10:09:49Z ♥ 1

Your game looks great! I really like the stylish minimalist art style. However, it's not immediately clear what's going on, and I eventually got stuck too. After about an hour of playing, my robo-wife was still unhappy that only one flower was growing, but I couldn't find any new flowers in the trash pile.

Nightcall by Cahard 2026-10-20T04:37:12Z ♥ 2

Quite educational! I've only ever seen a telephone switchboard like this in the movie *Changeling* with Angelina Jolie. I got confused pretty quickly, though! Operating an old telephone switchboard is a perfect fit for the Old Tech theme. Love the art style, and the optimization is excellent. Great job!

Kamchatka by Kirill Balak 2026-10-20T04:11:52Z ♥ 1

One thing I found a bit inconvenient is checking the temperature in each apartment — or maybe I'm missing something? It seems like the temperature is only displayed when you hover over the round thermometer.

Also, for such a relaxing, meditative game, it's a bit unfortunate that switching to another window automatically pauses the game, especially since there's no downloadable Windows version.

That said, such a unique and atmospheric idea! I love the Soviet setting, and the lo-fi arrangements of Viktor Tsoi's songs are a really nice touch. Turning the everyday job of a stoker into a game is a clever interpretation of the theme. Great work!
